Christianity Etc › Bible Question: Was Benjamin Born Before Or After Joseph Was Sold Into Slavery? by Ndipe(op): 11:19pm On Aug 20, 2012 |
The Story of Joseph and how he was sold by his half-brothers, where he rose to later on become a highly ranked leader in Egypt is one of the most interesting stories in the Holy Bible. Of particular interest is the story of the birth of Benjamin in this story. To some it is no big deal as they believe that he was born prior to his brother's slavery, while to others, they believe he was born after his brother was sold. It's an interesting how this puzzle totally unravels with regards to his birth and reunion with his elder brother.
So, what do you think? Was he born before of after Joseph was sold? |

The OP: @atheist thank you very much, YOU SEE THE CHRISTAINS KEEP SAYING ALLAH IS NOT THE SAME AS JEHOVAH BASED ON THE DIFFERENCE IN BELIEF ABOUT THE CHRIST AND FORGET THAT THE JEWS DONT EVEN HAVE ANY RESPECT FOR JESUS TALKLESS OF ACCEPTING HIS DEITY WHILST AGREEING THAT THEY WORSHIP THE SAME GOD AS THE JEWS. Back in the Old Testament, some prophets have received Divine Revelation on the future birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. And even if Jews reject Him as the Messiah, dont forget that there are certain sects in Judaism that uphold Him as the Messiah of the World. They are called Jews for Jews, that is Jews who believe in the Messiaship of Jesus Christ. |

frosbel: God forbid, the answer is NO !!
God is not an author of confusion, he cannot ask you to come to him in a thousand different ways , each with contradictory styles of worship and belief systems.
There is only one way the true God, which is Yahweh , has provided for salvation and that is through Christ.
For one , ALLAH does not recognise Jesus Christ as the Son of God , so he is not and never will be the God of the bible. frosbel: God forbid, the answer is NO !!

nahinbdis: I work in one of the foriegn Banks in VI. I have this close pal (a team leader) that recently started selling his wife's chin-chin in the office. I found he initially brought some for product testing in order to obtain valuable feedback for improvement. However people loved it and asked him to keep bringing and he has just started.
Thing is the guy is not broke (I know his pay and he drives an SUV). Someone commented today that he must really love the wife to do that. Another said its not so cool. I think its not so bad afterall particularly because the wife is just starting. What do you think? Why do you have a problem with this man's decision to help out his wife in a honest way? |

Not funny at all, the person is an illiterate, not their fault they couldnt go to school. In Ameria, they could be enrolled in an Adult program, that is why literacy is emphasized in this country. In Nigeria, even the most intelligent people sometimes drop out of school because of finances. Lets not laugh at the person, it's emblamatic of an uncaring society. |

If you can, try and go back to school and finish your masters degree. Talk to your former professors, explain your predicament and ask how you can get this degree. Then afterwards, you may decide to relocate home. With your degree and some cash, you can either rely on a better job (from a foreign country) in Nigeria and at the same time embark on some small scale business like hair salon or transportation business. I say once again, try and get your masters degree. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Are The Angels Of God Male Or Female? by Ndipe(m): 3:22am On Jul 09, 2012 |
Angels never took part in the creation of mankind. gaddafe: Very strong evidence in the bible make me believe that in the kingdom of God there is neither male or female. On a second thought, God said in Genesis 1:26 let us make man in our own image. He then created man, an evidence that suggest that God and his angels were males. Note: It was when he saw that man was lonely that he created woman. A situation that suggests that woman was initially not in the plan of God. In the book of Genesis 6:2, when the angels of God saw that there were beautiful girls on earth, they took them as wives. A situation that later resulted in the ladies giving birth to giants on earth. Pls pardon me, I want to be real here, if the angels took the ladies as wives, it simply means they had penn!s. If not, what had they used in producing the babies? Moslims belive that when you are fighting jihad and you die, some amount of virgins will be given to the individual in heaven, a situation I had often kicked against and tell them that in the realm of the spirit there is neither male or female. What if there is a male or female in the realm of the spirit? Based on the few anlysis above and lots more, I ask my fellow believers on NL, are the angels of God male or female? When one dies which form will the spirit of the individual take? What is the yardstick that will be used in measuring the gender one takes in the realm of the spirit? |

It's wrong to buy gifts to your children's teacher because indirectly, they might favor your children over the rest of the non giving students. In America, it's really frowned upon. Please dont! A teacher's duty is to educate their students and you have already done your duty by paying thier school fees which is actually their salary. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Biblical Quotes Proving That Jesus Is Not God And The Absence Of The Trinity. by Ndipe(m): 11:26pm On Jun 22, 2012 |
Perhaps (and in my own opinion), the definition of begotten means He was created physically by God the Father, to come to the earth to die for our sins. That explains the meaning of begotten, meaning, he was created specifically for this purpose or it could also mean His conception defied natural laws since Mary was pregnant without the knowledge of any man. That's my own opinion. However, prior to His incarnation, Jesus Christ has always co-existed with God the Father. http://bible.cc/hebrews/1-3.htmviaro: ^^ I understand, and thank goodness my reply didn't come across muddled for you.
Here is something on that same question about "begotten" that I thought the deniers of Christ's Deity might consider - a few questions which I posted in another thread:
(a) what is the meaning of "only begotten" in reference to Jesus Christ?
(b) what is the meaning of "firstbegotten" in reference to Jesus Christ?
(c) do you find anyone else described as "only begotten" in the same way as Jesus is?
(d) do the terms "only begotten" and "firstbegotten" mean the same things to you?
(e) when was Jesus Christ called "the only begotten" - before or after His resurrection?
Some have assumed that the term "begotten" is indicative of Christ having been "created" by God. Regardless the explanations that have been proffered, the same arguments are still advanced by the same folks. This time around, perhaps it is best to now ask them to EXPLAIN and RELATE how that affects the essence of Christ - just as you proposed. The easiest thing under the sun to do is deny and deny and keep denying a simple fact, regardless how many times answers have been proffered. So, here is a point at which we should directly ask these deniers to explicate the very term they have been forever singing about as the mainstay of their arguments. |

Great post. I have no doubt that muhammed is a prophet from allah, the question I always pose to all who maintain that Christianity and muslims worship the same Supreme Being. From the old testament, prophets had foretold the coming of the Savior and Jesus Christ fulfilled all these prophecies. Now, immediately after His Baptism, it's recorded in the Holy Bible that the Holy Spirit descended on Him like a dove and a voice from Heaven was heard saying that Jesus Christ was His Beloved Son. Now, if God would testify through his prophets like John the Baptist that Jesus Christ was His Son, why would He turn around and tell mohammed a different story countering His earlier claim in the Holy Bible. So, if muslims say that mohammed is a prophet from allah, no wahala, he was, but let it be known that allah is not the same as the Christian God. Aggressa: Question: Is muhammed a prophet sent by allah?
@All, I agree totally that muhammed is "a prophet" of allah. But the main question, just as m4malik rightly pointed out is "Who is allah?" Well, we've variously pointed out that although muslims are being deceived into thinking muhammed and Jesus are prophets of the same God, 'we know and we understand' that allah is NOT the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the God of All Grace and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; the Father of All Creation; Maker of Heaven and Earth.
We've variously posted historical and archeological evidences that shows that Allah was/is a deity of compromise between muhammed and the pagans of Makka. Most of Islamic rituals were incorporated from the same practice by the idolaters of makka. Islam is an ideology based on polytheistic belief: the Islamic chant of 'Allah u arkbar' correctly translated means allah is the "greatest". If so, "greatest" among who? Answer: Greatest among the other idols who are co-worshipped in the Kaabba. allah is a translation of the moon-god of the pagans of makka. The "allahs" said in the Quran that And "WE" gave the gift of Psalms to David; but Islam denies the Sonship and/or divinity of Jesus Christ. However David said in the same Psalms, in reference to God the father and Jesus the son, that "And the Lord said to my Lord, sit though at my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool". David also of the Jesus in Psalms that "Kiss the Son (Jesus) least he be angry,,,,,,,," We can go on and on, but the truth is that Islam is idolatory, a work of deception trying to gain credibility by alluding to Lord Jesus Christ. So therefore, that muhammed is a prophet of allah is undoubtedly true, but the truth is that muhammed is NOT a prophet of the True and living God. Yahweh Tsidkenu; the Lord our Righteousness!!
A true test of a true prophet is the conformity of his/her doctrines to the scriptures. If Muhammed claims that allah sent the torah to the true prophets of old, how come the Quran is denying the Sonship and the Messianic office of Jesus Christ which have been promised and prophesied in various passages of the Torah or Taurat?
"By their fruits ye shall know them". A good tree will always bear good fruits. "Fruit" here indicates the doctrine of prophets and their way of life, as well as the life and lifestyle of their followers. We have seen that the doctrine of Muhammed is false and not consistent with the Torah/Taurat he claims allah sent. Now take a look at the life and lifestyle of muhammed, and that of his followers who were and still are very willing to take human life at the slightest opportunity. Muhammed was lying when he said he was not sure what God would do to him when he was about to die because time was up, in fact he knew he was going straight to hell!! |

Islam › Is Mohammed Really A Descendant Of Ishmael? Read This: by Ndipe(op): 1:20am On May 25, 2012 |
IS MOHAMMED A DESCENDENT OF ISHMAEL? By Dr. Rafat Amari Muslims believe that Mohammed is a descendant of Ishmael. As proof of their position, Muslims refer to genealogies written around 770-775 A.D. by Ibn Ishak. What he has written is simply not true. Ishmaelite tribes, especially the tribe of Nebaioth from which, according to Ibn Ishak, Mohammed is said to have come, were nomadic tribes who lived in the Sinai and Fertile Crescent deserts. These tribes disappeared after the 7th century B.C. Mohammed's family was a Sabaean Yemeni family, while the Ishmaelites, who lived in the deserts of the Fertile Crescent, became extinct many centuries before Mohammed's family left Yemen. Historians say that the family of Mohammed was a family which lived in Saba-Yemen. In the 5th century A.D., Qusayy Bin Kilab, the 8th ancestor of Mohammed, gathered an alliance of many Yemeni families forming Quraish, the tribe from which Mohammed later came. These families only came to occupy Mecca in the 5th century A.D. The city of Mecca was built by the tribe of Khuzaa'h in the 4th century A.D. Mohammed’s family is not connected to any Ishmaelite tribe because Mohammed’s family didn’t leave Yemen until the 5th century A.D., and that’s about 1,100 years after the Ishmaelites disappeared. Mohammed’s tribe could not have lived in the same locations as the Ishmaelite tribes at any time throughout history. . . http://www.google.com/search?q=Judah+was+a+father+and+grandfather+in+a+short+time&hl=en&gbv=2&gs_l=serp.3...13153.20792.0.21058.51.15.0.36.0.0.203.1359.8j2j2.12.0...0.0.5kYidoK6S_s&oq=Judah+was+a+father+and+grandfather+in+a+short+time&aq=f&aqi=&aql= |
