But what I heard was that wike would never have supported Atiku, especially for what he did to his mentor, President Jonathan. Don't forget jonathan traveled to adamawa to plead for his support, Atiku kept a siting president waiting and at the end of the day refused seeing him. Jonathan was said to have also gone to London to plead again, he met Atiku at Dorcheater hotel, he was told the only condition to support Jonathan was if GEJ stepped down as a presidential candidate!
Atiku knew the grievance wike had against him was unsolvable. He knew giving in to their request to remove Ayu will only give wike a hold on the party, and yet wike wount still support him. So he decided to pass on appeasing him ie wike.

Fine, as was said once, give FFK food and he will sing for you ie anywhere belle face. But his conduct is getting out of hand.
Asiwaju really has to get his media team better organized with professionals. People that will sell his policies, not demarket it.

MISSCONGENIALITY:
I wept when I saw the new in TV. I just imagined what it would have been like if it were to be my dog .
If you've owned a dog, you will never be the same after losing one
Inorder to avoid stories like this, I protect my dog the way she protects me by making sure she is on leash when we walk outside and making sure she doesn't go out without me.
A few times she mistakenly went out, she went atrit to the next gate where they have dogs and I take her there to play.
Most dogs don't have your time when they are outside their territory except you give them that attention or point at them.
Most of them if they miss their house they are scared and confused and the best thing is for you to let them be.
The thing is our people see dogs and they start verbally a be abusing them not knowing they hear. Ot some people who love dogs even try to pet a dog they've never met just because they saw it outside. Some tried to pet my dog when we both were hanging out somewhere and he almost lost his fingers.
I underestimated her because she was being handled by a lady and she was just having a good time looking around with her leash attached to me not minding alot so many people that were passing close to us.
But this one person was excited seing a beautiful dog and brought out his stupid hand to rub her head and age charged at him. That God I was quick to hold her back and told her to stop. That's how the story would have spread that my dog bit someone.

My point is that people need to learn how to mind their business when they see dogs on the road and dog owners should also endeavour to protect their dogs from humans. Humans don't have better than dogs. My dog actually behaves more than so many humans I meet our there
I understand you.
But dogs have to be kept at all times under control. Kept on leash at all times when taken outside. This is Nigeria and people have phobias for dogs, asides the danger from my blodas from calabar that could feast on them.
Flanky speaking, those days, I told a neighbor that ownd dogs, that if his dogs strayed, acted aggressive, threatened or bit my kids, I will blast them to smithereens, and if I don't have a hand granade to stuff in it's mouth, I will use my sharp cutlass to behead them in a humane and loving way. undecided
Did you read my post of how I tested my newly acquired taser on my visiting sister's lovely, loving terrier dog? That shit works! Unfortunately it flew and landed on my foot, had to visit the hospital to take dexamethasone the next day for my leg pain! The dog avoided me for 1 week. But we are paddies again. Anytime I go abroad always bring it loads of dog treats from tescos, poundland. grin
Pets › Re: Lagos Veterinary Association Condemns The Unjust Shooting Of Roxie Dog by nedekid: 7:43pm On Mar 26, 2023
Painful as it is to loose a pet, truth of the matter, this is not UK, US or some western country where dogs will be left to roam or get lost.
Nigerians have a morbid fear of dogs. The owner says the dog has no history of violence etc. Yeah, owners of dogs when you visit their houses will tell you to come inside. That their dogs don't bite.
Imagine that dog roaming and then confronting a child.
If you don't want your dog harmed, ensure it does not get missing!
One time, our dogs escaped through the gutter at night and went to ravage a neighbour's rams he was rearing for Ramadan sales. We had to pay for 2 rams.
Any UI student in the early 90s will remember when two dogs went missing and got rabid on Amina way, owned by either the elugbes or okoyens (cannot remember), how they went on rampage, stalking people and biting them.
Guess their choice part of the body? The area people say igbo ladies have "yams" Ie yam legs.
For the first time in my life, I saw a dog sneak behind a lady and took a chunk off her legs, held the big meat in it's mouth and ran! I saw this live show!
Omo, one brave prof landed from vet department with a dane gun, a cartage gun and a sharp cutlass. Na so all of us follow the prof with his Dane gun, he loaded it by putting pullets down the barrel, took some gunpowder and poured into the side of the gun, put some stuff like dried cloth and then used some stick to press into the barrel. He the approached the boys quarters where the dogs were. We were tip toeing behind. He saw the first dog and blasted it. The dog was lifted into the air and fell dead. Omo see hailing!!
He loaded the Dane gun the second time and went after the second dog that had hidden well. Na so we form line like qeue for petrol station de follow. Lol
Omo next thing we heard was a growl. Prof took aim fast and fired! Hmm. All we heard was a small puff, and the gun bulched out small smoke, like an old cigar smoker you punch on the chest. In short gun no work and dog de approach. White mucus spit dripping from it's mouth with it's eyes red! Never seen such in my life. Hmm, if you see as the crowd following prof quitly did "about turn" and took off ehh? Gold medals would have been won that day.
Prof (as a man of action), sha pulled through. Instantly he dropped the Dane gun and aimed the cartage double barrel gun on the dog, blew the first shot and missed the approaching dog, fired the second shot instantly, the dog flew in the air (just like in the movies) landed down dead! I was one of the brave ones that did not take off. I be loyal guy grin
See hailing for prof! Prof now took out his sharp cutlass and in one strike each beheaded both dogs.
Where prof Bleep up, he started giving lecture to the crown showing signs of rabies in the brains, head of the dogs calling cranium this, mendula that, rabies this, Lol.
The owner of the dogs, also a prof had to spend loads of money treating over 20 people his rabid dogs bit. Then it was rumored they had to take like 20 shots of injections not on the arm, not the ass, but direct to the stomach! Haba!
Lots of people also lost pound of flesh they could never get back.
Pardon my long episode, this post brought memories of my UI days. grin

Omo, advice her to see a gynecologist asap. That issue should not be taken lightly. It has destroyed so many marriages, especially with men that are smell sensitive.
Problem is that most men might not be able to talk as it will offend their spouses so they just avoid nacking them.

Is lucrative I must say I have two already one I. Ikeja and one in PH . Ias for Ibadan I can't tell. It depends, are u the owner of the warehouse or shop and land? Perhaps you may need at least 5 million for a start if u want it to look good more rich goes with 25M there about I started with 15m each.so location is another important thing and the Vendor where u buy it and the management because na them go send u back to village. Thanks
Impressive.
Business › Re: How Lucrative Is A Supermarket Business? by nedekid:
Hmm, it could be lucrative if done right. To be sucessful, you have to be in location where you make fast sales. The profit margin is quite small and competitive so turnover is king, hence location. I know this because my mama is involved in the business. Personally I doubt she makes money out of the place, just on electricity she spend 30k daily to power freezers, fridges etc. Theft nko? One of her staff 10 years ago earning 25k back then had over 400k in one of her accounts! You also have to pay staff.
Some of my igbo brodas are sucessful in it partly because their staff cost is reduced as it is "omoboy" levels they do.
What about expired stuff? Items you will buy for lots of money will expire on the shelf. Those rodents will eat etc.
Personally, I think the new business model by pioneered by shoprite is the way to go. That model is when you provide a reasonable sized facility, producers of goods and importers then bring their goods to your supermarket. They place their staff to market, clean their product. What you do as the supermarket owner is maintain the facility, ie security, rent, Nepa etc. You provide the teller, cashiers etc. You keep your margin ie profit and remit the rest to suppliers.
This case, you have no issues with expired, damaged goods etc. I think it is called merchandising or so.
That is the sucessful plan chains like justrite, blenco, next stores, the current owners of shoprite, ebeano etc are all using. Most of the goods in their store are not theirs.
Anyway, best of luck.

I did nysc in the East. Aba to be precise 1996. The amount of Yoruba folks living there was unbelievable. Most I hear were coppers that decided to stay after nysc. Retained as teachers with hope of entering the neigbouring oil industry in PH or one of the multinationals eg Nbl, guiness, pz etc.
Most met beautiful, respectful yellow igbo ladies. Ladies that had not "torn" eyes as they have today. They settled and married and started raising families. During my nysc, I meet lots of men that served before us. Some speaking igbo already. Most told me life there was better and they wount be returning to the SW for a while.
I and my paddies from Lagos never missed anything, our regular amala with gbegiri and ewedu was available in joints owned by Yoruba people. Infact my nysc copper paddy, a born and bread mushin boy, our clo, also a Lagos chap
stayed back when we were all comming home after service.
House I use to go chill both in aba and owerri were owned by Yorubas.
I think folks should travel, go and mix with your clans living in the east and hear from them the challenges if any they face.

Sure your kids will have access to good quality education but your kids can wake up one day and tell you that they have decided to be gay or they want to go for sex realignment! grin
Lolz.
Seems you don't know how deep the gay issue is over here in naija. The difference is that it is socially acceptable in the UK so folks don't have to hide it.
Just go online and see Nigerians that are gay. Heck go to videos and see naija gays and bisexuals acting porn.
Point is yes, you are right in the sense that in the UK, due to the social acceptance of gays, ones child will be open to tell you hoha. It also encourages those who ordinarily will fight the gay feelings to accept it. Naija is the opposite.
Politics › Re: Twitter Challenge : Name One Estate Owned By A Yoruba In The South East by nedekid: 8:32am On Mar 25, 2023
Volksfuhrer:
Very wrong. Yorubas do indeed travel. They are in many West African countries. Some even go through the South East on their way to Cameroon and Gabon. They've been in the North for many generations long before Nigeria was born. So what the heck are you saying?

I've been to the East, I have many Igbo in-laws and friends. You are discriminatory to non-natives when it comes to land matters. I understand, our historical attitudes to land are different. But living in denial does nothing to resolve this perennial allegation against Alaigbo.

Kindest regards.
"You are discriminatory to non-natives when it comes to land matters"
What is your experience or evidence as I disagree with you. During my nysc days I met with lots of Yorubas and non indigenes. When I will visit imo, I stayed with a Yoruba man in his property.
Where I served, the city of a a, lot of Yorubas, you will think they are igbo. The building I ate amala was owned by a Yoruba, infact his wife owned the joint.
It is strange for one to hear an igbo wount sell a none indigene land. Igbo people we know that love money. That can loose a limb bacause of money? Rather say the non indigene has not found "reason" to buy and develop land in the area.
Most industries, ports, markets are in the south west due to eg Lagos being the former capital and current commercial capital so naturally people see reason to invest in land and property. Why will a non indigene eg a Yoruba just go to imo state or abia to buy land and build a house or estate? Does it make sense? Now because he does not do that you say the indigenes does not sell land. Will an igbo just go to eg iragbiji in Osun and buy land? No, unless he has ties to the area, eg business or family.
Point is igbos will sell you land, but you have to want the land first. If no none indigene comes to buy what should they do?
Nb: The attraction for those southerners in the east back the was the industries they worked, ie Guiness, Nbl, PZ and load of big time multinationals, also the oil industry. So many decided to raise a family over there and built properties. Lots also married local ladies and stay there till date.

who told you. Tiktok don open those oyinbo yansh them wella. We know there is baba nla suffering there too to even some citizen
I think the suffering is relative.
Usually it is with people that just get there, especially without money and have to scratch from the bottom. Over time their status improves. The good thing over all is that their kids get to go to proper quality schools. Even over time when the kids get naturalized, the sky is the limit. They have acess to student loans to enable them study what ever course.
Rent to me is the highest cost. I think food is quite cheap compared to their earnings. Another crazy cost too seems to be transportation and taxes. One drives within London and by the time you get home and open your computer, so many bills. Just for driving oh. Congestion charge, emissions charges etc, God helps you if you beat traffic light.
I think the ultimate is if one can find a business to setup. One of two of my paddies have such. They are living the good life. Wakeup anytime, go to the office at their convenience etc. But they have paid their dues. Over 24 years in the UK.
