Oga..have u seen a court handle divorce before??
I’ve seen it many times
No Nigerian judge will ask a man to split what he owns into tow for any wife....
Hypocrisy will not allow them pass such judgement....
The worst is tell you to pay two years rent for your wife and Child upkeep at the rate of N5000 per child asides school fees and other basic things..

U think this is abroad where they will chase the man out of his property and order him to pay spouse support for a woman another man will be fvcking.....
Is like u don’t know this Nigeria and why things don’t work here
Some people have lost their house to divorce in Nigeria. This is not hearsay. If the woman demand for your assets in the divorce, your name na sorry.

Most times, they don't demand for assets, just child support. If they ever demand for assets, they always get it, except there is a prenup. Divorce is not usually up to the judge alone. it's also upto the parties getting divorced and their lawyers.

The reason we see assets being split in western divorce is that the women, and some men, there always demand for assets. They know the law allows them to have a share of the assets acquired during the marriage. Nigerian women are not that aggressive.

Don’t feel bad...the institution called marriage was rigged against men right from the start...

It was meant to customize pen!s for women though it doesn’t work in some cases...

And give women half of your property when they decide to leave you..(this one doesn’t work in Nigeria, so no fear...
It works in Nigeria. Gather assets first, then e go shock you

One of the main reasons I don't donate money. People only care about what they will collect from you. That's why I don't give them.

Not structural design flaws, because there are softwares that can detect structural faults and uneven dead load distribution at the design stage. There are software that can even compute structural analysis and factor of safety. The reason for collapse is greed and fraud on the part of the owner or the contractor. For the owner to even be on site tells a lot. Your project manager and the building team should be the people supervising the project.
Software performs theoretical evaluation. The issue could even be from the software that you're talking about. The software works with the values that it was given. The state of the land on which the building was constructed is a very important variable. Software can tell you that something is correct, whereas it's very wrong.

If you give the software a wrong value, it may give you the wrong result or the correct result, depending on the variation in input value. It's all garbage in garbage out.

The owner of a building should be on site as much as possible. Nigerian workers cannot be trusted with resources. Some will even steal rods, bags of cement, etc, and tell you that they were not enough.

Don't be quick to castigate others.

It takes high level experience and competence to do high rise.. you can't afford to miscalculate
ALL engineers miscalculate. Just that some miscalculations are insignificant. 47.7877885 is not equal to 47.787789. That approximation is already a miscalculation. But it is insignificant.

However in very complex projects like this, that insignificant miscalculation could add up to something significant. Also, unforseen events such as weather could come into play to make an insignificant miscalculation significant.

Even Namibia get private jet. Dassault Falcon 7X with 3 engines, which means higher maintenance cost.

Just get a Gulfstream G280 with lower running costs and very decent range.

Threads like this shows how easy it's for people to castigate you when something goes wrong. Some are even calling the engineers quack.

When you are constructing something as high as 21 storeys, so many things can go fatally wrong. It has nothing to do with substandard material. It could be from a very simple and insignificant miscalculation.

Take it easy with the judgements.

What a terrible way to start the month. Construction companies should value peoples lives and quit using sub-standard materials for building houses. Erecting houses shouldn't be about profit alone but safety of the occupants also, which should be taken very serious. Make survivors no go sue dem now.
Were you the one who sold the substandard material to them? The chances that a 21 storey building was constructed using substandard material is almost zero.

Most of these are caused by structural design flaws.

when eventually you visit the above stated countries, you will reverse your paragraph 1 statement. For your information, Nigeria is very small when it comes to land mass and road network. Nigeria as a country is just 1.4 times bigger than the state of Texas. From Lagos state to Owerri in imo state is about 300miles.
No, I won't reverse nothing. And I'm not talking about visiting the country. I'm talking about becoming a permanent resident of the country. Visiting is not an issue.

Nigeria's road network is big enough for road trips. I'm aware of the numbers.

Financial illiteracy is written all over this thread.

How much should they have in the bank accounts? Over 500k?

So you will stack up millions in your bank account instead of using that 150k to further develop your land or even buy that new crypto?

Sqiud coin cryptocurrency went up 40000% in less than a month of being launched. If you bought 100k Naira worth of Squid coin cryptocurrency, your asset would be worth at least 40m Naira.

Only financial illiterates leave millions in bank accounts except for business purposes.

Who you wan impress with your bank account balance? No one even knows your balance sef.

Many people have less than 100k in their bank accounts but millions of Naira pass through their bank account every month. Mumu man, invest!

The quickest and effective way out is to introduce the mortgage system to the middle and lower class.

Marriage does not mean anything. Your partner can leave you whether you two are married or not.

This country is very unfortunate.
