So is it her fault? Or the fault of those guys with "oju kokoro" who are in a relationship but behave as if they are single and searching? |
Why is anybody happy that CBN has weakened Naira? Don't we want it to strengthen? But whatever, 307 is nowhere near what people are able to get it for on the streets or in the banks. |
And there's a commenter saying only Biafra can save us... the police officer... high chance the guy is from Biafra... |
You know, if charm could stop bullets, Benin Kingdom would have not fallen to the British Empire. But no worries, let all these cult boys test charm and die. |
Gateman... or... "gate" man? ![]()

Well, compared to the 93 year old ex-president, and 75 year old president, this 68 year old is a relative youth! ![]() |
Thanks, Nigerian government, for never supporting our entertainment industry, yet "congratulating" and "appreciating" when they've achieved success in spite of all the ways you frustrate them. ![]() |
Holuwahyomzzy:Where's that meme of lion roaring on internet, but cat cowering in real life? ![]() |
All this overconfidence is our undoing... the players will be feeling like they got an easy-to-beat group, then they will lose focus. Just practice and become a fluid team, and concentrate on scoring without theatrics. |
Yeouch! But there's good news here: 1. they can afford to pay staff 5 months salaries, so they're not hurting for cash 2. they moved to prepay, which means they've achieved a major milestone. The prepay model is what they needed to do anyway, but had to do pay on delivery to earn trust and make Nigerians aware of them. Switching means they've accomplished a major hurdle in winning mind share There's a revenue drop now, as they switch models, and will need to shed weight to survive in 2018 as the marketplace adjusts, but I foresee business picking up by 2019 (helped by 2018 holiday shopping), following a marketing campaign in 2018. |
Pidginwhisper:Heh heh... true... but most people who visit US, UK, Dubai, Mexico, Brazil, Italy don't go to the equivalents of Okomaiko or Kubwa. So it's a fair comparison to only visit the tourist areas and write about it. |
Which is why every woman should have something doing (even if it's selling provisions), and quietly stack some chips away in case of incasity. |
Yes, he must. Anybody else will simply make Buhari's re-election a certainty. At least with another Northerner (ideally from Katsina too, though I don't see any viable candidates), the Northern vote will be divided, and the Southern vote will decide against Buhari. How I wish one young, progressive candidate will rise up and stand for election. When are the voters under 50 going to assert themselves and vote out people born when Nigeria was still a British colony? I'm from Delta BTW |
HBD ma. Let me say though that this is the trouble with social media... small small and before you know it you have to celebrate and congratulate everyone publicly every 15 minutes. The day you don't, the enemies of progress will start looking for divisions and fanning flames. If it were me, I won't put anything on social media, so there's nothing for people to chew on and spit out. In other news... maybe it's time I bought stock in bleaching cream companies... will all this market I'm seeing. ![]() *runs out of thread* |
possiblen:Not sure which version to believe... but there's obviously some intrigue and damage control. Until Kanu resurfaces and says he is in charge, it's fair to say he is not in control at the moment |
rusher14:And according to accusations on Radio Biafra... the rogue managed to defraud them too... probably now counting his money in the safety of some hamlet in England. |
There was a lot of words spoken but very little actually said. What are they planning to do? |
Threebear:Sounds like you're subtly throwing some shade her way... wetin consine color of dress and her history? |
So after experiencing the bad side of politics, conflict, everyday events, disasters, poverty, you want me to on radio and listen to the same things? How many songs in my lifetime will remind me about lack of water and light, and how the poor are getting poorer. From 70's & 80's Fela to 80's Majek to 90's Ras Kimono to 2000s Rugged and African China? E don do. Abeg, listening to songs about love, women, and money are the only things that make sense and make me happy. At least that "Too much juice" can make somebody relax and forget about hardship for a while. ![]() It's shallow, but I that's my explanation. |
Sapphire86:Too true... I so hate that phrase, after they put all their business on social media. |
So this is a list of the losers in the struggles for power... the winners are never called "coup plotter", but instead "head of state", "chief of army staff", "governor", and so on. But for a mix of luck, planning, and support from outside, Nzeogwu, Ojukwu, Ademoyega, Murtala, OBJ, PMB, IBB, ABC, etc. would have ended up just like everyone else here: tied to a stake and dispatched with prejudice. |
You know the real reason the officer was arrested? He collected money without paying the DPO his tithe. Oh yes, DPO collects 50%-70% tithe on all offerings. ![]() |
I can just see it now... I need to on my gen to charge my electric car. What a country. Even in the time of horse-drawn carriage, I'm sure we would not have enough grass for the horses to eat or water to drink and there would be long queues to feed the horse. Even now, aren't we planning to (or have already) import grass from Brazil. Mtcheew |
Yes oh! Really happy for Zimbabweans, proud of their army for remaining professional and showing the dictator the way out without yielding to the temptation to seize power. Anybody with sit-tight ambitions knows that that time has past. From Gambia to Libya, to Ivory Coast to Zimbabwe. |
Coming from Mercy who is normally so sweet and gentle... the guy should just do as requested and masticate some poaceae ![]() |
At first I was like, N156k... that's not bad. It's an ok price for a wedding ring, but why is it on front page? Then I got more confused as I continued reading then it dawned on me that we're talking $156k. As in money to build a very decent house, with boys quarters and swimming pool. I don't know that I could be ever comfortable with sinking that kind of money in something so small. At least house, I know it won't suddenly lost inside toilet or be dragged off in traffic. |
Wait... makeup free... as in the makeup was done for free? Or you mean the makeup was mostly natural tones and some blonde? Because if that's what you call makeup-free, I'd hate to see what you call makeup. Anyways, Toke looking nice... please use ur money and build school or some sewing small factory, ehn... Bags no dey too last. |
I'd say it's evolutionary... have you seen a male bird give gifts to his parents? No... but he brings gifts to the potential lady he's trying to make more little birds with... why argue against nature? ![]() But seriously, the lady was right to call it off... is this the kind of crap she would have to deal with the rest of her life? For what? |
You know Naija weddings... it's not about the bride and groom. It's about the families. You think both mothers could be convinced to have a small wedding? What will their peers say? I'm sure as they were saying they want small affairs, the parents and aunts were like "smh... see this one. Anyway, Bola, we should add another 20 bags of rice to the 400 we bought last week." |
noskcid:He wasn't a hypocrite. That's one character worth emulating. You know Allen avenue (and many others around the world, including the online ones) is filled with the daughters of pastors, teachers, ne'erdowells, businessmen, farmers, mechanics and lawyers. Why call out Fela's daughters as if its unique to his character? |
veekid:Look at it this way... blue pali. |
WotzupNG:But the great one lived a very fulfilled life. What joy is there to live till 100 if you don't spend it really living and enjoying all what life has to offer? |
