Donchips:Right... because Ibori, Oduah, and Deziani-Madueke were so much better custodians of public funds... ![]() (I'm from SS, Igbo speaking, BTW) |
To be in NASS must be bae. Loot, then make a law protecting you from prosecution. Una fada well well ![]()

gabazin080:Ah.. better... the rest na matter then. Organize to meet him in a fast food joint, and get your people to stay outside or come inside as he's handing over the phone. |
gabazin080:You have the bank, and his account? Relate your story to the bank and find out which branch he frequents. It would be the one closest to where he lives. Download any pictures he posts on facebook or whatsapp and use tools to locate where the pictures were taken, which could help resolve where he resides. http://www.geoimgr.com/ for instance. If you can get him arrested in the bank, kudos. It might just be easier to get him to meet you in a fast food place to exchange cash for phone, and invite one or two police officers to stay outside. Of course you'll have to part with some cash for them to cooperate, but I would happily pay 5k to each officer to see this guy get arrested. |
FTrebirth:Which part of "lo and behold my man was aggressively banging this girl with reckless abandon. he did not stop until he ejaculated that was when they both realised there was a third party watching them." is ambiguous? ![]() |
Very valid points. I think this is the heart of te matter: the infrastructure that are important to govt revenues are the ones that are maintained. Excellent analysis 9jakohai: |
I don't lament for the old days of careless spending on development projects without actually developing. Personally, I take that picture as one of many symbols of Nigeria's problems: we didn't produce a single piece of technology in that picture, not even the plates use aboard nor the uniforms. We didn't have a good group of managers who understood the airline business neither could we afford such expensive equipment. Planes are not something you buy and forget Any country that trades natural resources only to buy other peoples' technology is bound to get into trouble someday - as the price of oil suffers, so does our economy, corruption notwithstanding. The plane is a facade, fancy dressing on a country with nothing to show. I would argue that we are actually in a better place today, as I'm seeing more indigenous engineering and foundry firms pop up in Lagos, Aba. That's actually what gives me hope that we will one day take pictures of a plane we made, even if it looks like crap. |
Please, can you ops give women their own identity? We know who Temi is, but it's a bit chauvinist to refer to her as an appendage to a man. First she was her daddy's daughter, now she is Eazi's girlfriend. If she was unknown, the appellation makes sense, but I feel same thing happens to many other women who are famous in their own right and shouldn't be described as "somebody's something". Thank you. |
This is good to see. Celebrities get too pompous and forget where they came from. What's wrong with humility and thanks? As for those calling her local champion - I pray she stays that way... Otherwise na pancake and bleashin like all the others... slaying but so unoriginal. Basically she is still cute and adorable and it's working for her. |
We've heard what Wike said. However we did not hear what the Sultan said or what Tambuwal said. I sincerely hope the esteemed Sultan is able to talk sense into the youths... |
You know in this Nigeria we're in... if you get involved by helping an accident victim, you might be shocked when police claims it was your fault. I'm not saying people should not help, but I've heard from relatives and friends enough stories that make me hesitate to lend a helping hand. Also, like somebody pointed out above, you might cause more harm to the person by moving them, than if done by trained medical personnel. Best thing is if you witness an accident, try and call emergency services, then get out of the way. |
One of the the few capable ministers who transformed their sector for good. Well deserved honours, sir. |
She's simply accepting what most of us refuse to acknowledge. You see, most people have already sold their souls to the devil - by lying, cheating, stealing, adultery, using the Lord's name in vain, and so on - but get on their knees and close their eye, and pretend to pray to a God they don't really serve. If rapture happened today, Nigeria will still be heavily populated, forget all that shouting about "holy ghost", and "In Jesus name" ![]() She's said the truth, and hypocrites are forming "holier than thou". Mtcheew How can you call upon Jesus (the great forgiver) to strike down your fellow person? |
See wa-zo-bia people enjoying Nigeria. There's no talk of breakup or ultimatums here. |
Fast with them all you want... nor suprise when they come collect your bodi. They won't remember all your talk about "we serve the same God" |
It's funny how some people embrace beliefs about spirits from a foreign land, yet reject beliefs about spirits from their own land. Op, thank you jare. |
Stealing trinkets... Nothing valuable, just painted plastic and cheap metal. Really? Mtcheeew... ![]() |
Entom: ![]() Imagine a country where the mere presence of its president means hardship for citizens. Na wah! |
Nigeria - where news agencies (and not the presidency) announce departure arrival. This guy thinks it's still 1984 |
Guy don't vex when those same children show up with those ultrasharp knives they use to pieces suya. People won't heed warning... you think sewing cloth will save you? |
No no... the prayer we want answered is that he remains in London... With all due respect, things get better when he's not around... |
All this one you're calling involves money or travelling. As for me, I will sleeping and laze around till 4pm. Then out for some pounded yam and egusi, or maybe with pepper soup. Then to watch football. Hopefully, landlady will not start fight, my girl will not disturb, police will not harass person, nobody will ask to borrow money, and cult boys will chill out. |
slimfit1:1. Because solar is relatively expensive per kWH - almost $2/watt of capacity, vs. gas or coal which hovers around $0.50/watt installed capacity. 2. Solar isn't well suited to heavy machinery or processes that need heat 3. Solar won't work as well in the south of the country due to rains, heavy clouds, and high humidity Natural gas and coal are much more plentiful in the South, and it would take almost 4x as much money to invest in a solar infrastructure that would meet demands. Not to mention huge retrofits of buildings to put them away from trees/shade. Possible, and may be the ultimate solution for new builds, but not worth the expenditure for current buildings. |
Teewhy2:Very very interested in building a gateman's house with this. I was even considering making the flat roof from this material. I have a very rough draft of the building, but just imagine a 3m cube, about 10ft high. Very similar to the gatehouse DenTREND (https://www.nairaland.com/2550211/general-topic-thread-to-discuss-anything/706#57544518). The windows are also going to be long and thin (about 6" wide), several on each wall to avoid needing burglary. Any idea on feasibility and cost? I've been researching insulation and would not mind experimenting on something small. Would we need to have columns on something so small, since the roof is essentially decking, but lighter than usual? I need the roof to be walked on (at most by two people), and only for maintenance. I had been researching flying concrete (lightweight concrete) to avoid using poured concrete. Wood frame and sheet roof is also out. Must be concrete.

Ki ki ki... I wonder what the poor goat is thinking... "Chai I don suffer" ![]() 42, Father of 6? Haba, see as you disgrace your children. So when it's your funeral, there will be 6 humans and 2 goats crying for you? Na wah.. But wait oh... is it illegal? As in, do we have a law that says you should not get down with other species? I'd hate to be the guy's defense lawyer... wetin I fit talk? |
Abeg.. that is the kind of farming we need: wealthy individuals putting their resources into large scale mechanized farming, not all this kobo kobo subsistence farming that barely feeds one family. This guy's farms employ lots of people - farm labour, processing, transport, retail. When you see a picture of a big shot laying 1 block for foundation, do we assume that he's the one that will lay all the blocks? Mtchewww. |
Padlocks are now spiritual? My people wake up. The only thing blocking their progress is them drinking and oloshoing their profits away |
Ogonimilitant:Right... she's being sponsored by people (with deep pockets, or who want to advertise their hotel) who think otherwise... apparently she's good enough for them. ![]() |
Damn! |
LionDeLeo:What do you mean "allowed"? If land is for sale, anyone is welcome to buy it. If you're worried about "they won't allow a non-easterner to buy" or some other nonsense, you can always buy by proxy. The fact is, land in the East is expensive due to its relatively small size, the large population, and other factors. By contrast, land in North is cheaper, sometimes 1/10th the price in some areas, compared to land in the East. In Nigeria, all lands are vested in the Federal Government, and therefore are technically "leased", even by the "original landowners" for a (perpetually renewing) period of 99 years. That's right... the land your father's father's fathers claims is actually federal property. The only way for somebody to actually OWN that land is if they are a sovereign power with recognition from the Nigerian government - and that one requires the ability to defend their claims against the country's armed forces. If someone from the North sells their interest/lease to somebody else, no one should be able to wrest that land from the buyer. So asking me to "leave my land" doesn't make sense, because the Government has deemed me the current lessee. If you want it back, compensate me for it, that is if I agree to sell it. Of course, the Federal Government is more likely to sit and watch people be slaughtered instead of defending its citizens and enforcing its authority, bu that's another matter. |
Nairaland has become so essential for me. News, laughs, tutorials, how tos, gossips, pishures, fights, and so much more. I missed not being able to connect. No matter the issues, you have built a wonderful thing here, and that it works so well 99.9% of the time with so many people is massive kudos to you. No be beans. |
nikkypearl:Eh? Wait... I'm coming... Just two more minutes... . . . Ehen... You say wetin? ![]() Ahem: Gifty, forget all these haters! It's your turn to shine. Dress , makeup on fleek, bobbi on point. This girl must enjoy looking at herself inside mirror sha! Me masef I would too ![]() |
