Never say never, is what I say. We all have what we say we can never do, but condition has a way of bending crayfish ![]() |
... waiting for those who will start asking about his "big God" that helped him, just like they ask when it's a woman's house being celebrated. |
What the? Move on. What else is one supposed to do? |
So what I'm hearing is... if you have the training, you can rescue yourself. If you don't, you're OYO. Upon all the Over 20 years, since I started driving, I have given police at least 500 naira every week on average. Of course some weeks go by without incident, and some weeks I meet the devil himself who won't let me go until I've dropped 10k because I swerved into wrong lane to miss a pothole. So 500 is a very conservative estimate. 20 years x 52 weeks x 500 naira = #520,000 I've tried. As have many others who have spent more on these devils we call law enforcement. |
When are we going to see them guarding Christians living in the North or Middle Belt? They said "Fulani domination, Fulani are first class citizens..." I suspected, but did not fully believe. Now I know where I stand in this country: 1. fulani (including non-Nigerians) 2. cows 3. hausa 4. muslims (including non-Nigerians) ... ... 9. and finally people like me, Christians from South South. To think how much sweat we put into this failed union of a country: from excelling in our studies, to doing our best at business or profession (which is repeatedly rewarded when we travel out); to being open-minded and accommodating to other religions and thoughts. Even the main resources earning money for this country is coming from our lands, and our people are bearing the brunt of the environmental damage. In spite of our contributions, we're still disregarded because we'd rather make peace than fight. Man, I pray Biafra comes, and I pray it contains Delta State. Sign me up, abeg. I'm tired of this nonsense Niger-Area that was forced together without any input from its inhabitants. |
The way people are mourning this Prince (who lived to 99, something we all aspire to achieve), tells you he was actually loved. I wonder how many people will sincerely mourn Buhari and Atiku? |
seanfer:You said it better than I could. He's really part of the problem. |
1. Citizens, once again, are responsible for electing the right people, and criticizing/removing them when needed. TO use my own LGA as an example, money that's supposed to be used for development is shared among the officials, and youths are busy hailing them and collecting their own. 2. LGAs need to be able to tax their residents to raise revenues. There needs to be a way for them to collect taxes on homes/land and on sales. In the US/UK/Japan, people pay taxes/levy on the value of their real property and a piece of sales tax to the county (LGA). State collects sales and some income tax. Federal collects the majority of income tax. This way every jurisdiction has some level of independence. 3. I know OBJ isn't talking, as if he wasn't one of those military administrators he's complaining about. ![]() |
Another "it's my turn to chop" polititian. |

Oyiboman69:The fee that was being avoided will be assessed by the bank. Either paid by the user or the fintech company. |
This is such bull. I just hope ESN have stockpiled weapons. We don't have confirmation if this prison break was by ESN, yet we are hearing directive to "crush them". BH and herdsmen have been there for years, with confirmed evidence, yet they are being "rehabilitated", and "given amnesty". I'm not normally for secession, but this lopsided treatment is going to push moderates like me to break away. Wetin? Go and solve the big issues elsewhere abeg. There is looming food scarcity because farmers are being murdered in their farms; governors are being threatened with assasination; whole of NE is no longer under FG's control despite what they say; there is a systematic genocide in the middle-belt; Kaduna is a haven of kidnappers. Where's the order to crush the perpetrators of the killings in Ebonyi and Uzo uwani? Aba? etc? Ordinary "End SARS" that got the police scared, they should tread carefully! ![]() |
Soolmus:I don't like to wade into this, but there have been many sexually transmitted diseases between heterosexuals (i.e. man and woman), most of them incurable at some point in history. I don't think it's reasonable to use AIDs as a basis of discrimination, in the same way we don't lambast heterosexual people for Gonorrhea or any other STI. I think the Bisi chap is overstepping: I'm going to put what I want in my establishment... you're welcome not to patronize me. I don't pry into your personal life, so please let me furnish my private space how I like. |
I'm always about freedom of expression, but ironically, the person forcing things down anybody's throat is this chap... you're telling me what I should and should not have in my own private property? The hotel is a private enterprise, and they are free to put whatever it is they want in their establishment: from beds, lights, drawers, newspapers, paintings, magazines, bibles, etc.. If you, as a customer, don't like what they put, please take your business elsewhere. As long as you're not being discriminated against (based on criteria described in the law), please don't harass me for my beliefs. |
Because the people who attacked Owerri prison dey respect curfew abi? ![]() This just gives police license to harass innocent people going about their business. The same police being used to maintain curfew will be the first to run once trouble arrives, so this is just a waste of time. |
Cashsteady:What? D'Banj, Tiwa, Reekado, Korede no be yoruba again? Some of Mohits/Mavin's biggest talents. I don't understand your comment at all. |
Of course this is a nice move... the banks need to have competition. On the other hand, guess what's going to happen when you need to put Naira into a fintech account, or take it out. ![]() |
It's sad but most of us believe BH more than FG. That jet don go, no need for story. |
If this happened in Nigeria, for sure 100-400 people for don kpeme, then others will start blaming Buhari. This is why you don't make peppersoup out of everything that you see. |
I laugh in spanish. Those who want to manufacture voter record will make imaginary NIN. In fact they don't use any form of ID. Legit voters will be asked to pay 6k if they don't have NIN when they go to register. Nor be Naija we dey? ![]() |
ogwumgbe:I don't to give any flimsy excuse to some people of Northern extraction. Let the guy complete his failure, let his people see that he has failed them utterly, with no controversy whatsoever. |
He must complete his tenure oh. I don't want to hear "if only Buhari was allowed to complete his tenure, manna would fall on Nigeria's streets". Let him finish as a complete and utter failure, so at least we can finally put one mythology to rest. |
Righteousness2:No problem. Ideally, the pastor, and you too will be raptured away, so no need for y'all to panic right? I remember people made the same noise when the Euro was launched in 1999. 21 years later no rapture. After a lifetime of being wrong, I wonder why people still hang on to the word of end-time predictor pastors... 1919 flu: WW1: rapture WWII: rapture Moon landing: rapture Iraq war: rapture Euro: rapture Covid: rapture United Africa (in 2060): rapture 200 years from now, they will still be talking rapture. |
Hey Boko boys don seize plane oh!!! |
Keshi, you too? To make baby no hard, but to raise them, no be moin moin. Anyways, weh don sah! But this one that it's April 1... any news is suspect. |
From "I will end medical tourism", to being the number absentee citizen from his post. gbemishile: Racoon:Nothing again to say. And Nigerians would still vote for him if he was eligible... ![]() |
In these hard times, even beggars are hard hit. Baba Bubu, weh done sah! ![]() |
Phrankin:Oga this joke get level oh. ![]() It's funny, but na painful true you talk. |
"no one should enjoy government services without the number"... which government service am I enjoying? Is it light, or water, or security, or flood, or the nonsense hospitals? |
With what light? Is it the police station that doesn't get power? As if police in this country will record their wrongdoing. |
orohbiro:You shut up. You've got nothing of merit to add to the discussion, so all you can do is chook mouth like rat. I respectfully disagreed with Ogbuefi, and gave my reasons. |
AbijaJ:Indeed. And his generation saw things differently from their parents'. After all was it not his generation that disrespectfully abandoned tradition in favour of the "White man's way: his language, his clothing, his religion"? |
