It would have been nice if these were locally made vehicles, either Innoson or Nord, but I dont' see their logos. Please correct me if I'm wrong, or did we just employ thousands of youths in Asia?

Refusing to employ our youths, but quick to "enforce law and order", forgetting that employment is a key to law and order.
Politics › Re: Sanwo-Olu Hands Over 180 Vehicles, 6 Troop Carriers, Other Equipment To Police by nextstep(m): 7:35pm On Jun 10, 2021
So how does this work?
Police is FGN's responsibility. Lagos state is spending money on officers and equipment it has no authority on. Then FGN will be busy claiming the states are asking for too much allocation? Will Lagos get refunded or what?

Somebody please help me understand huh

Snack biz to your fellow students......
Snack biz for sure... buy 20k worth of snacks that your fellow students eat, especially things that are light. Just put some inside your bag and sell them. Don't go into any kind of food preparation (not even egg and bread) that will require gas, oil and other ingredients. Purely biscuit and kpekere things my guy.

allanphash7:
20k that is less than $50?
Is this what this country has reduced to?
Walking out of the thread
Na small by small. My favorite inspiration is this one dude in Asaba. Every evening, he carries his sweets, biscuits, gum, breath freshener inside his backpack, gets to his spot, and puts them all on a tray, selling to people hanging around the clubs in that area. I don't think his wares on display are up to 20k.

I'm sure he has a big shop somewhere, but he hustles and probably gets an extra 2k most nights. Much better income than spending the evening idling about. Next I see him, I'll ask

They should kia kia... we all need each other, producers and consumers.

But they should not complain if consumers decide they can make their own food afterall.

When single ladies choose to cohabit with men, yielding to free sexual servicing, domestic chores and the likes, what exactly goes through their minds?
Did I just see "free"? 99% of the time she's exchanging these services for staying someplace without paying rent, or light or gas, or feeding. All these are provided by the guy.

I do not cordone this evil act
BUT
What if these kids are from poor orphanage homes in Nigeria and are been taken to a family in United kingdom as adoption.

And those children will become uk citizens no longer Nigerians.
Does it mean that Air Peace has low key spoilt the plans of this children leaving this shithole??
Funny... grin grin grin

Though if it was legit, they'd have documentation, and their story would be consistent. But when did people start going to Asaba to fly to UK?
Politics › Re: "Who The Hell Are They?" – El-Rufai Reacts To Twitter Ban by nextstep(m): 3:29pm On Jun 09, 2021
A private company can tell you what they want - or do not want - on their premises, whether online or real life.
Anybody using twitter agreed to their terms of service. If you don't like it, use NTA tongue

It is high time baba Buhari ban the use of VPN and arrest any one who flout the order.
Those Southerners must be thought a lesson
The ban/order is draconian and is not good for the Nigerian Republic. Blindly obeying leaders is why the people of Nigeria remain easily manipulated and repressed by the leaders who are supposed to take care of them. There's a reason why freedom of speech is such a fundamental right: it keeps leaders from plunging their countries into penury because nobody knows everything.

Buhari will eventually leave office. Will the Nigerian Republic (and the lives of its citizens) be better off for this repression?

That Means More Unemployment Crime Rate, & Hardship Loading.....
Congratulations
Gbam. The governor should imagine what would happen if somebody banned his ability to earn for one month. Most of these people are working hard and trying to make a living in an economy where there is nearly 15% unemployment among youths.

By the way, did you know that most cases of crime in Nigeria involves the exchange of Naira? We should ban that too! I mean, the solution is not on banning certain vehicles, because all that will happen is criminals will start using cars.

So each member paid 22.5 million naira (about $45,000USD)

The highest cost I could find on this site was $5000 for US candidates. These fees can be waived in lieu of receiving enough signatures.

How Pantami can even say this with a straight face is hard to understand.

But going by the data, and seeing the large increase in kidnapping since they started this NIN-SIM integration, one can even claim that the integration increased kidnapping!!

Politics › Re: Why We Should Change Nigeria To UAR (United African Republic) by nextstep(m): 3:02pm On Jun 04, 2021
Amalekki:
For starters, Nigeria does not stand for Nigger Area which is not even a problem.

Secondly, changing the name of your country costs lots of money, time and resources. Think of stationeries alone, then your currency will have to change, your signposts, certificates across board, all the embassies abroad etc. Nightmare! Use the money to complete 2nd Niger Bridge, Rail lines etc.
Na im I dey try tell dem. Changing of name - but keeping same mentality - doesn't make sense.
Politics › Re: Why We Should Change Nigeria To UAR (United African Republic) by nextstep(m): 3:00pm On Jun 04, 2021
So it's the name that is holding us back bah? Not the corruption or oversabi citizens who think cheating your fellow man is wisdom, but standing in queue is abomination. angry

Make una renamers nor let me vex. The money used to rename can build a few solid companies to provide employment.

Ah.. the snake that was being nurtured by the Northern elite is now threatening them. Of course Buhari won't send personnel there, lest they kill "innocent" Fulani. I said it before and I'll say it again, Buhari has much more affinity for Niger and Chad than with Nigeria. Have you looked at Daura on a map? angry

Gov Gandollar, how market? I have an idea... let's "discover" two or three IPOB cells in Kano forest... maybe that would convince Bubu to come to your rescue grin

So who made those people judge and jury? People won't mind their own business, and they feel justified in embarrassing consenting adults. And I will bet 2k that those holier-than-thou filming and shouting are the same that will carry runs, or are actively keeping one or two blankets someplace.

For the husband there are two things involved: forgive the wife, or send her packing. Same for the wife who was cheated on.

Politics › Re: Adamu Garba: Twitter Should Get Out Of Nigeria For Deleting Buhari's Tweet by nextstep(m): 5:30pm On Jun 03, 2021
... and this is why smart companies don't set up shop in Nigeria under this current administration.

Twitter is a private company, and Buhari agreed to their terms of service, which he violated.

Leaders should remember they are not gods, and their time as leaders will one day end, whether by law, violence, or natural causes.

Haba, for what now. Maintenance and insurance for that car can build house every year. Plus you can't park the car in peace because you'll be worried who's going to scratch it, steal your tires, etc.

I won't mind being able to rent it for a few days sha, just to enjoy that luxury, but I don't want to own it.
Career › Re: When Is A Man Said To Be Successful by nextstep(m): 10:01pm On Jun 02, 2021
Successful is whatever the person has in mind. Basically it's to be at a stage where you can cover all your needs and have a little extra to enjoy life.

For some it's 10M in the bank. For others, 1M would be fine. Trouble is, once people attain their goals, they get dissatisfied and envious, then want more. That poor person who would have been happy with 100k now wants to get to 1M. And the 10M person wants 100M, and the 100M wants a jet, so they are trying for 1B.

Food › Re: Toba Adedeji Journalist Searches For Wife After Burning 3 Pots Of Food In 2 Days by nextstep(m): 7:23pm On Jun 01, 2021
I dunno... you can go to your local Buka, and order a week's worth of soup, stew, meat, fried fish, etc. Store in freezer.
All you need to do is boil rice, eba, yam, and eat with the soup as needed.

Much much cheaper than the costs and headaches of courting, wedding, and maintaining a wife. There's no stress or attitude that comes with the meal, you can go to a different buka without wahala, and you're not spending money to feed the cook grin grin grin grin
