After the girl worries him to buy wig and all the usual sturves we men have to pay for in the course of dating... she will go and use it to for another maga. Men don suffer, I tell you.

Life na turn by turn... Serena made other champions cry when she was on the rise and she was beating them. Now it's her turn to cry. Within 15 years Naomi too will be on the wane. Everybody needs to understand that and prepare for that eventuality.

Personally, I would bow out now while my star is still shining, and start going into coaching, buying a sports team or some other aspect.

Politics › Re: Nigeria To Construct 200MW Solar Farm In Delta, Largest In West Africa by nextstep(m): 7:13pm On Feb 18, 2021
GodisFirst:
This project should be sited towards the Northern part of the country where you have a less humidity and more sunlight. The corrosive nature of the delta weather due to the Oil and Gas exploration effects will lead to degradation of the components of the Solar Farm, consequently, it will not outlive its lifespan. Secondly, North has larger expanse of land than the Delta. Siting it in the Delta will take up the scarce land in the area.

Natural gas fuel which is in excess and being flared in the Delta should be used to generate power. But the problem is the management of the Power System.
How sure are we that this Solar Power will be managed well.

Hope the idea is not to acquire land to be diverted for a different purpose after some years.

200MW that can't even go any where. This is like giving every Nigerian 1Watt of power for a country with about 200 million persons in population. Hope the power storage system that it comes with will not create additional hazards to the area.
I hear what you're saying; yes the North is ideal for solar; yes we need more power; and yes there's so much potential in the gas that's being flared, but that's another sad story altogether. Nonetheless, people are forgetting that temperate countries like Germany, China, Japan, USA, etc have solar installed in places that receive much less sunlight than Delta.

It's true they will decay due to the rain, but that hasn't stopped Shanghai, Houston, Tokyo, Seattle, Frankfurt, London from installing them, and these are rainy cities with a lot of industrial activity.

We need all the power we can get, 200MW in that community in Delta is much more than what they get now (which is zero). The last few projects have been sited in the North, so it's good to distribute these thigs.

My only regret is that government - once again - is not supporting Nigerian companies or agencies to make this technology. The money would be much better used to encourage businesses to create solar panels and batteries.

For crying out loud we even have two government agencies that they could have tapped. NASENI in Karshi, Abuja is tasked with making panels, and there's even a pilot program. ELDI (electronics development institute, part of NASENI, situated in Awka) is tasked with building electronics like charging controllers, lights, transformers. I've been to their offices and was deeply impressed with their capabilities, the bright engineers, and the products they've made on limited budget.

We have Cutex wires made in Nigeria (and could ask them to make thicker wires for DC), we have poles, and any other structures needed made here too. For batteries, they could have consulted with Ibeto.

So it baffles me why this contract was not issued locally. We're doing yet another importation project that enriches foreign companies and their workers... and denies us the opportunity to develop our own tech.

Nigeria and fuel shortage or price increase are a constant headache. I've heard every argument since 1999 but the result is still the same: prices goes up or there is shortage and hoarding. With subsidy, without it, oil price low, oil price high, militants, no militants. What kind of nonsense country is this? angry angry angry

Already inflation is headed for 16%, and this fuel increase will only make food more expensive. Upon all the loans that future generations will have to pay back with depreciated naira, all the taxes we're being hit with. Haba!

Even without the ravaging bandits and kidnapping quagmire, a proactive government would have installed Camera across the length and breadth of her territory long time ago.

No thanks to Jonathan/Sambo's presidency.
Please can we stop dragging in the past government for every issue... Buhari has been in charge longer than Jonathan by now. We're not even going to add his stint in 1983-1985. Let Buhari solve the problems he was elected to solve abeg. It's like a second year university student continuing to blame current failure on a bad school prefect in JSS 2.

The future is bleak for present day Nigerian women.

Lets be sincere, it will be rare to see women like her in this generation.

Many women here have lost all their educational vibes, all that matters to them now is runs, fashion, gossip and Instagram.
Not sure this is accurate. There are nearly 50 million Nigerian ladies aged 18-50 (200 million * 1/4). Even if you take only 1% of them who are at at Dr. Iweala's level in terms of talent and potential, that's still 500,000 of them working hard behind the scenes. You don't see them because they are not on Instagram. They are pilots, lawyers, professors, bankers, doctors, businesswomen, IT professionals, and so much more.

This is a good argument.

Is the mama there as Nigerian or American?
She was nominated by Buhari, so technically she's there as a Nigerian.
However, she is a faithful student of Western dogma, and will look to Biden and Johnson for direction, so she will run as an Anglo-centric American.

It's all good and we all wish her well... afterall she managed to get Nigeria's loans restructured/paid off based on her influence within the World Bank back in OBJ's time, so we'll see.

tot:
The World Trade Organization (WTO) deals with the global rules of trade between nations. That should answer your question.
To wit: an American or British WTO DG - inspite of the outward appearance of being neutral - would actually push American and British interests in negotiation and arbitration, frequently conferring with their president/prime minister. The question of "what it means for us" realizes that Dr. Iweala's would be highly unlikely to push Nigerian (or African interests for that matter), so while this is certainly historic, it doesn't change anything on ground.

When we said "vote for sophisticated people who have run businesses, understand how economies work, and have friends in the world stage who they can tap into for our benefit", Nigerians opted to vote for a person who in 1983 and 2015 demonstrated he has no business running an economy.

How will any sane person invest in Nigeria with it's policy flip flops and currency that fluctuates worse than bitcoin? At least bitcoin can rise... Naira always devalues.

If the national cake is made bigger more people can chop. As of now it's only Buhari and his people chopping... how much did they budget for chicken alone? See how we waste potential talents that will help get this country out of the mess it's in.

The first priority of our health services should be preservation of life. We can always investigate and prosecute after the victim/patient has recovered. We should not be asking questions during those vital minutes while blood is being lost, and life close to being estinguished.

RIP David. It could have been any of us.

If David had decided to check out of this country in 2018, people would be abusing him for abandoning his fatherland. Now see what his fatherland has done to him. If we teach our children to be humble, and quit idolizing material things, robbers would not have coveted his phone.

RIP. It's too painful cry cry cry cry
