Please after going on a Monday with the above stated,do we need to go back for any other processing? Also must both parties be present in person for the processing?
You are supposed to go back on a Tuesday for oath taking I think(the officers will tell you this) but you can explain to the officer if either of you won't be around so everything can be settled that day. This was what happened in my case so we just showed up on the wedding day.

One person can do the processing, when you go on that Monday you can fill all the docs for both of you and when they say you should come back as I stated in the paragraph above explain to them if you won't be around that time and they all settle all that day.

I think the author was too "nitpicky and critical " grin

I really dont get it, I was thinking I would read something more , its more like the doctrinal beliefs of the writer didnt tally with what he saw in the movie

He is of the opinion that christain women shouldnt work outside the home except in some situations (like seriously) hes criticizing a movie that showed a working woman

Out of order :I just don't get how war room gives backsliders and assurance of salvation except its another movie he's talking about. Tony sinned against his wife and his bosses ans ultimately against God he repented , made restitution and fortunately his bosses didn't get him arrested but he did pay for what he stole, I watched when he said he would just pay back what he short changed the company.

Out of bounds : who said christains can't rebuke Satan? Get thee behind me Satan. I don't agree with him on this point? Just hearing that for the first time.
Now the prayer closet itself doesn't really mean you must have a special room dedicated for prayer only I feel it talks more about the prayer life of a christain and how battles can be won when you pray even if you do clean up a room to pray there's really nothing wrong with it. And yes prayer can change the atmosphere in a particular location, same way you know if you have walked into a wrong place as a christain its just about discernment.
Yes the name of Jesus does bring results , I didn't see any abracadabra lool.

Out of focus: There was a Godly sorrow over sin, tony was remorseful and bent down in his bedroom and prayed.

He simply has doctrinal issues with the movie jare and he's entitled to his opinion.

I was thinking what I would read is how people have made war room to be the general antidote to all marital problems. The war room principle has worked and will always work but its not for all situations I think.

All in all its a great movie just like most of the kendrik brothers film I have seen.
Christianity Etc › Re: It Is Unchristian To Deprive A Couple Marriage On Account Of Pregnancy by NoToPile: 7:34pm On Jul 30, 2017
701ecilana:
It's a misunderstanding. Marriage is marriage whether traditionally or registry. I seriously don't get it. Some people do Trad, go for Court then go for white Wedding in Church yet still sign a register which the Church gets from the court. What is the rigmarole for?

Oyibo came to our shores and thrust their customs on us, undermining ours, and we, even now that we quite know what game the whites tried to play on us, still follow and hold it so high above ours.

Let's ask ourselves this; the whites who marry in court, do they still go to Church to Wed? I mean todays Oyibo.

Biko, una wey dey live for UK and US make una help us. Do the white people Marry in Court then later proceed to wed in Church again? I doubt it.

Court or Church wedding, (the one they wear white) is their culture, their traditional marriage, just like our own we dey tie wrapper.

What i see from my Bible is dowry, if it's paid, i don dey shag my husband be that, but till then, him no go even see am sef.

My point here has been on marriage, be it traditional or Church. If i insist to wed in Church too (Just to fulfill all righteousness), then i must stay till i say i do.
My point too

It seems we christains in Nigeria are just confused sometimes.

701ecilana:
Thank God someone sees my point.

My point has always been on the sanctity of marriage, be it church, traditional or registry. God ordained it, so if it must be done, it's principles shd be followed.
Its just annoying that we leave the main issue which is the sanctity of marriage itself and start talking about other things.

Biblically you are not meant to have sex with your spouse before marriage simple .

If you are oyinbo and your customs is just to join at the courthouse you should not have sex before marriage.
Whatever customs or traditions that hold in your place or country as the marriage process, you should not have sex before that marriage. That's the bible. We will now be hiding under the canopy of its traditional I want to do I can sleep with my spouse.

As for church wedding, its more of a feferity in my opinion, if you want to go for it no problem but the hypocrisy among us Christians is that you will see someonr say I got married 2011 and got wedded 2013 and one will be like what's all this. If you can't afford a church wedding fufil the rites collect your cert at the registry and go home with your wife.God honors it.

After you have married the woman and consumated the marriage you will now come back and say you want to do solemnization, what are you solemnizing? Marriage has already been consummated naa.

Sex before marriage is bad in its own self, we just like deceiving ourselves as christains.
Christianity Etc › Re: It Is Unchristian To Deprive A Couple Marriage On Account Of Pregnancy by NoToPile: 2:39pm On Jul 30, 2017
Loool, is pregnancy even the issue?

Some churches won't even wed you straight if they know you have had sex with your spouse, you guys will be suspended for a short while asked to repent and pray again and then after sometime they may join you together. It may even be a church blessing.

Christains be twisting biblical standards up and down.

Hope we also know that marriage is not just church wedding , meaning if you intend to do just traditional and registry both of you must not have slept with each other until you are joined.

It baffles me when Christians will say I won't do church wedding ( its not compulsory anyway ) I will just do traditional and then you think because you will do the traditional rites alone ( there's no church elders to breathe down your neck and check if you ve slept with each other or not) and collect your cert from the registry you can go ahead and have sex with your fiance before the rites are fulfilled ?

We deceive ourselves a lot as Christians oo.

The bottom line is this Marriage ( whatever form we want to do church trad whatever ) is honorable and the bed undefiled. So until you pay what you should pay on your wife's head (bride price list parental consent etc etc) you are not supposed to sleep with her simple.

See Christians justifying bad things up and down.

Churches have taken a stand you abide by it or you run and do trad and registry but also know that if you sleep with your spouse before she's handed over by the parents traditionally you have commited a sin and its abominable before God, yes you need to repent and yes there are consequences .

eyinjuege:
Anyone that thinks having a CS in this day and age as abnormal or wrong is not worthy of being discussed with.
However, having an unnecessary surgery isnt the way forward either.
It all depends on what your obs feels is safe for you.

There should always be a medical indication for a CS, and not just to please your whims. Because its an elective CS doesn't mean there's no medical indication for it. Its usually because your because your obstetrician feels its unsafe for you or the baby to have a vaginal delivery.

Healing and recuperation from a CS takes longer.
I know every pregnancy carries it's own risks, so does every delivery. Having a CS delivery also carries it's own risks. You could react to any of the drugs from anaesthesia, your wound could break down, get infected after surgery, . You have increased your risk of having a blood clot post op etc.
No Dr would advise you to have an unnecessary CS and bring your baby out at 36weeks. More like from 38 weeks, unless it's medically necessary to bring the child(ren) out earlier There's always that risk of the baby staying in the neonatal unit if brought out earlier than necessary from things like jaundice etc.
Having a baby on a specific day still doesnt have to be by a CS either, as labour can always be induced. So thats definitely no sure advantage of a CS.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a CS btw, but any unnecessary major surgery shouldn't be encouraged.
I agree with you.

It depends on parenting

There's the "my mummy said" set of children. You give them something they ll say my mummy said we shouldn't collect anything from anybody and they will nicely reject it

Some will collect and say my mummy said we should show her anything anybody gives us. If given birthday packs in school they won't touch it at all.

I don't blame parents who give such instructions to their children anyway.

Sorry OP but it seems your culture favors your brother, I guess that's why he is the one that is being sent the proceeds of the rent.

He's selfish and feels you all should follow his idea simply because he is the only son, he has this thinking that whatever he says should be final and sadly he's backed by tradition but that doesn't mean he should lack respect for his mum and siblings and also empathy.

Does Igbo tradition say that the mother can't take proceeds out of your late fathers investments? I see no reason why lawywrs can't send the money directly to her or even to your sister in school. Let him go and work nau.

Some people are naturally wicked, they just hide under culture to justify their wickedness, if not how will a son not even give his mother out of proceeds from their inheritance.

I doubt there's anything you can do, you guys should manage to take care of your mum and sis. Let him eat the rent.

Yes his main problem is why she slept with them and not with him and that is a legitimate problem. The issue is "what does that mean?" Is is that she is not attracted to him or what? That question is very key to a happy marriage. They have dated on three occasions; the first time maybe she was a virgin, the second time she was in Uni and had likely started having sex, the third time she was a confirmed non-virgin who even wanted to settle down with a man who impregnated her and through all these episodes she did not give him sex! Meanwhile the guy is footing her bills. This is a very huge red flag. She is not giving you sex meaning that she might not be attracted to you but you are footing her bills meaning she is gaining from you. The most logical conclusion here is that she is keeping him around for the benefits she gets. This thing happened to my friend so I know what I am talking about. Most likely she treats him shabbily too.
Where did he say he was footing her bills.
What benefits has she gotten from him from the oops narration
Why do you think she must give him sex
How are you sure she didn't regret sex she had with other guys far later and then decided no sex policy was what was best for her

Bros understand one thing she reserves the right to say no to anyman she is not married to concerning the issue of sex at any given time whether virgin or not.

This case is peculiar she was not cheating on him with other guys, there was a time frame of years in in this story so he has got no case.

Sex is the origin of the downfall of most guys so I am not surprised the way everybody is hammering on sex sex sex.

Maduawuchukwu:
On the different occasions that they dated she denied him sex while she was having it or had had it with other people; It is too weak to say that it was because she was a virgin that she denied him sex in the first place and later on that it was because of her bad experience. In a court situation the evidence will be weak. The main thing here is that there is a huge possibility that she is not sexually attracted to him and that is going to make for a disastrous wedding. That she has good qualities is not going to keep the marriage if she goes about cheating cos she has no sexual attraction to him.
You all still do not get the point, OPs problem with this lady is still sex, well we can also say he will go about sleeping with her relatives if he marries her since he has done it before.

She had sex with people after their first encounter and before their second encounter. She didn't cheat and there were difference of YEARS between all these incidents.

Besides anybody male or female has the right to say No to anybody they are not married to at any given time, whether the person is a virgin or not is inconsequential , the moment people understand this the better.

That guys problem is sex and she is very smart not giving him then and even now. Those shouting manipulation are not even aware he's the one doing the manipulating.

The babe even tried considering him for marriage oo, A large percentage of girls will never marry a man who has slept with her neighbor-relative simply because she denied him sex.

He doesn't understand why she didn't sleep with h and slept with others years later and still is not sleeping with him now that they are engaged and this is his major problem.

Sex sex sex lool

Anyway I am a no sex before marriage advocate.

She gave after her 2 failed attempts at a relationship with the OP.

So because she denied OP sex and then after some time (years most likely ) she got involved with other guys and had sex and OP finally came back to her and she still has a no sex policy she's a bad person.

How are you sure that its not the experiences she had with those guys that made her say no sex before marriage to the OP the 2nd time and how are you sure that its not because she felt she's too young or not redy forr sex that she denies the OP during their uni and pre uni days because what we are talking about here is years and should be around 6 years or more if she dated her uni boyfriend for 4 years.

His problem is still sex that's all.

Lool, you dated her while you both were teens and you expected she will give you sex ? Orishirishi.

I am an advocate of no sex before marriage but I think she was wise enough not to have sex in her teenage years, a smart teenager won't have sex simple.

She got to the university became more matured and entered a 4 year relationship and ended up having sex, getting pregnant and having a still birth and you are pissed that she had sex with 2 other people.

Did you expect her to sleep with you as a teenager.

I can see some boys shouting she doesn't love u, she's there for your money blablabla as if they will encourage any of their teenage sisters to be having sex up and down.

Your major problem is not the still birth because its not even a secret not to talk of being dark, your challenge is that she didn't sleep with you while you were dating and then went ahead to sleep with someone else years later and that is something you can't deal with but you expect her to deal with your sleeping with her relation and you aborting a baby with another girl.

She's smart for saying no marriage no sex because it seems that sex itself is your problem.

So you wanted to be having sex with a girl as a teenager abi and you are pissed of she didn't give u but slept with others years later,

What won't I hear on Nairaland.

Either way No sex before marriage will have sorted all this matter out. That's still the best in all situations.

The only thing I can see is sex sex sef.
