Honestly I always fast forward the advert, but there is one particular advert about fine mulatto, mc labule and Lady arewa, also one comment obsere told a lady, that he is looking for ise labe won, that if it is to cut grass that he will, as simple as the word implied, it has a separate vulgar meaning which is oro agba and as a young child I was able decode the meaning.
Lool, one will always decode

I still remember one vividly, in one advert that was a clip from his musical that obesere guy put money inside a lady's (one of his so called dancers)buttocks brought it out and smelt it , it was so disgusting.

I remember the fine mullato own too.

Always promoting disgusting movies, this yeye guy

Movies like elebolo and eja osan, he also promoted people like osupa, cossy orjiakor, mc labule. I remember he started soft porn movies too.
Ahaaa been thinking of the others, thanks for reminding.

He really did start the soft porn movies, that abass obesere musical was terrible( well that was when there was still a bit of decency in naija movies, people frowned at his movies then)

Can't forget this guy and that his "pink lady " movie advert. So annoying.
Was also the one that produced one musical like that for one abass obesere( can't really remember his name) where there were doing a lot of nonsense.

Also produced lepa shady I think.

Pink lady pink lady piiiinnkkkk laaaaddddyy

Lepa shandy lepa shady leeepaa shannndyy.
Loool, repeats the same line over and over again.

He made poor ( very wack) movies IMO, the adverts were worse.

Never even knew he's still there.

Make I laff small

You want to beat your wife because of
1. Pepper
2. She doesn't go for errands for you.
3. She walked out on you during an exchange.

Things that are solvable nawa oo

1. Let her be cooking differently then since she s a pepper eater and you are not, when she's cooking she cooks at the same time in 2 different pots add plenty pepper to one and less pepper to the other. Everybody is happy.

2. How are you sure are excuses were not genuine.

3. Is it by force to argue, will she squeeze the money out of you when u don't have, I am planning to pay house rent with the cash on me shikena

I just don't understand how people will be creating major issues on top minor things.

I feel all these are just misunderstandings .

By the way this is not being pushed to the wall, its just conflict and don't let history repeat itself.
Food › Re: What Happened To MR BIGGS? by NoToPile: 8:54am On Jun 16, 2017
WarHorse1:
The real reason Mr. Biggs fell this bad is little to do with bad customer service. Rather the business they are into was the cause. Many will say Mr. Biggs was into the business of fast-food. For me, capital NO. They were into the business of selling class satisfaction. Why did you ever go to Mr. Biggs to get whatever you eat? My guess? You wanted to please your girl or you wanted to give yourself a treat for a month end pay or your financial level demanded that Mr. Biggs was the place or you wanted to experience eating in a cozy cozy conditioning. Hardly, maybe a few times, did you go there because you wanted food that fast.

Now, I was in Benin when Mr.Biggs came in. The queues were busting the glass doors. It was the only one back then in time. The wealthy in town flocked there. I remember see some Edo house of Assembly guys there. It was a thing of pride to walk the streets with a Mr. biggs paper bag. Guys saved money to give their babes a one time treat there. Then came another (can't remember the name now) at Airport-road - I think it was owned by the one Mr.Prest. People started to opt for the new one in town. Yes, maybe there were some difference in the taste of the food. But one glaring difference was the look of the place. It was far better than that of Mr. Biggs. Then came Kaddies, with new looks and new attractions, it won people from the previous operators and so on and so forth - Tantalizers, chicken republic etc.

It was clear. The only way to stay competitive in this business was to put on added impressive looks or physical attractions. Interestingly, operators like GT foods are still in business. Why? Because their business is selling food not selling class satisfaction. GT sells food at comparatively lesser price in basic decent places. They even open outlets in student populated areas.

Much of Mr. Biggs outlets are still wearing the looks they used in winning the so called class market. It is just that those looks have been obliterated by the new ones. Just imagine if Mr. Biggs opens something like what Orientals have in Lagos at VI. Men!, they would be back in Business but for a while - while "it" lasts.

McDonald is operating in a country that is less class oriented as Nigeria. Selling in a class sensitive society requires difference rules of the game.

Mr. Biggs has two options and option one is - build more attractive outlets (possibly name them after some of our celebrities)and sell the same thing as they do now grin grin grin (Nigeria funny o) or sell food in basic but decent outlets to the average class. Doing business in Nigeria na wahala cry cry cry grin grin grin
This is it.
Succinctly put.

I think food sold in basic but decent outlets will sell well on the island considering the large amount of average nigerians working there. The more classy ones for the classier people .
Business › Re: St. Louis, Other Foreign Packaged Sugar Brands Remains Banned In Nigeria – FG by NoToPile: 7:30am On Jun 16, 2017
I am just hearing st louis has been banned, its still very mucb around, there are other indigenous brands tooo which are quite good .St Louis is still the most expensive of the cube sugar, I think its 450-500 now.

We have golden penny cube
Dogan cube sugar
St louis

I don't think dangote produces cube sugar, never seen it they only package the granulated in small packs.

Prices of golden penny and Dogaan cube are fair and cheaper than the imported st louis and they seem to have good quality too, that st louis has reduced so much in size. I think there's a bit of competition in the link local sugar market, Dangote and golden penny.

The indigenous brands are doing well in my opinion its not about dangote monopoly at least golden penny sugar is doing quite well, Dogan's need to get more market share IMO but they will get there.

I really pity richer wives sometimes, if you sneeze its because you make more money, if you walk with too much swag its because you make more money, If you now make the mistake of saying pls help with this or that in the house its arrh she has turned him to houseboy.

You should understand that these "instagram girls" are only doing so because the method always works.

Men would always talk about how they don't want a slay queen for a wife, how she must bring more than sex to the table blah. One fine girl winks at them and next thing they are already rigid.

These seemingly "dumb slay queens" will end up getting married to rich old men that will abandon their family for them, spend their days travelling round the world and when he dies, most, if not all his properties would be given to them.

If all you have to do is look good and have sex to make a living.. Why go the hard way?
Lool, you said the hard truth.

Men say they don't want xyz and that's what they end up falling for, they now start lamenting that their wives are not faithfull. You cant choose a well packaged olosho for a wife and expect her to be faithfull.

And you know what, they keep falling for those ladies

Except for the really smart guys, that look for pretty and smart ladies.

Loool see them ooo.
Nairalanders are now saying whatever the wife owned belong to the husband and he is the one in charge since she's late, the same set of people will say they would make their brothers next of kin instead of the wife.

So much for double standards

I don't really like buring people on property anyway but why would he bring bouncers, why is it her family coordinating the burial not the husband something is wrong somewhere, the simple meaning is that he was not there for his wife when she was sick, shikena. He just heared about her death.

I won't be surprised if it was the lady's family that has been taking care of the sick lady till she died and they decided to bury her there and Oga just came with bouncers because property is involved.

Everything that happened speaks so much about the relationship between him and the in-laws.

I believe you OP, someone I know said that was the reason he couldn't become a pastor in RCCG, that they said he had to do the baptism by immersion again.

Its a spiritual thing, we are baptized to Christ not to church, I have seen people manifesting seriously during baptism. Its a spiritual transaction , just dunno why we make light of these things. We seem not to understand its significance yet and even the confessions said at the point of baptism.

Once it was done properly at a bible believing church why making it mandatory again. Though I know some people did it twice for personal reasons.

I still can't get over the fact that a married man with 2 kids earns 70k and all he does is pay NEPA bills and water bills which is around 10k.

How some posters can't see this point is what I am wondering. If this is not wickedness I wonder what it is.

Some of us don't understand that if the wife was earning lower than this man, its this same behavior he will depict. The only reason why the poster is still coping is because she has more cash at her disposal.

70k is a lot of money for some families this period we are in in fact a lot of families survive on 70k , school fees , house rent and everything .

A lot of fathers deny themselves some extra things simply because they want to meet up with financial duties at home. You want to be best dressed at work, use the best gadget s on top 70k salary as a man with 2childresb it just won't work. If its just 20k this man drops monthly his wife won't complain at all.
Family › Re: Please Help...is It A Curse To Earn More Than Your Husband? by NoToPile: 9:27am On Jun 10, 2017
Why on earth will someone be earning 70k and all he does is pay NEPA and water bills haba that's not fair nau, not even chopmoney .

I know one thing common with people that work with govt, they do use the cooperatives as a form of savings sometimes, and just withdraw the cash they have or take a loan slightly higher than what they have saved. It does help when its time for bulk payments like school fees, house rent building project etc.

This one he's not even paying most of the fees and house rent then what is the 40k monthly deduction for? I just don't gerrit. Is there a project somewhere or he's just spending money recklessly.

Reckless spending can't be cured by making more money , you have to change his orientation about spending pls.

I am going to disagree with your first sentence. When a man pays most of the bills, they act like God. They are control freaks and demand every form of loyalty and respect from their partner. Often, the women are very will to yield to him. Men are sorta wicked!

When it is a woman turn to pay all the bills, the man still wanna call the shot, do little or nothing to help and still hope to get all the respects men providers get. Nay... you can't have it both way bro. Men are very inconsiderate. I have looked into this as a research.
Thank God you know the way a large percentage of men behave.
Celebrities › Re: Stella Damasus Shares More Photos To Shame Those Calling Her 'husband Snatcher' by NoToPile: 8:53am On Jun 10, 2017
The only ish is that Nigerians will continue calling her husband snatcher , that she cant get rid off, she better get used to it. grin

I just don't like the way she's bringing religion into this, seriously does the bible support this.

You don't date the ex-husband of a colleague , she should have found her guy else where simple.

She was married to Jaiye Aboderin (wumi obe's late brother)
Married to one Nzeribe guy after some time
Now married to Daniel ademinokan.

Considering the fact that there were quite a lot of rumors about her not faithful to her late husband
and even to the emeka nzeribe (which led to the end of that marriage).

Too much rumors and too much controversies surrounding this lady, she knew all these and went ahead to date the ex husband of a colleague, she sef no try she should know better and tried to lay low.

She may not even know anything about their break up, but she should have known better. She should better get used to being called husband snatcher because Nigerians don't forget things.
Crime › Re: Rice Smugglers Caught By Customs In Ogun, Rice Concealed In Boots, Engine by NoToPile: 8:03am On Jun 10, 2017
Not a new thing , this one is old school method of smuggling . they will now pour everything out repackage and sew with the machine and we will buy rice thinking its packaged , In fact a large percentage of the foreign rice that comes from ceme goes through this process.

The one that doesnt go through this process is rebagged and the extra in the sack removed.

If you live anywhere close to agbara- badagry you will understand. Those smugglers go through hell in the hands of customs I.e the smugglers that can't pay the price.

A lot of this people have a customs official they use to "cross" their goods.

Reading some comments , a lot of people generally lack manners, home traininh and definitely not cultured,

You did wrong by entering your brothers matrimonial room without knocking let's even say that's a mistake, she ducked under the bed and you still stood there trying to apologize even with the hubby on that same bed shocked and some people are even justifying it, where do all these people crawl out from sef.

What nonsense.

A cultured person would have left immediately the wife bent to hide and then apologise later when she comes out.

Was he qualified for the job, did he meet the basic requirements?

As long as he met all that I really don't see what the problem is. There's also recommendation, I would give the Job to someone who met the basic requirements and I have seen what he can do.

There's always a factor of grace for some people.

I once went for a second stage interview, there were 2 interviewers in different offices, the guy that interviewed me looked at my CV and said you finished from command xyz in xyz year I said yes, he said do I know him, I said no. He said he was a set ahead of me, he asked me a question, I got it t, asked another I was thinking about it, he told me what it meant and said I should explain, I did , I even felt he wasn't listening to me and that was it, he said I can go.

I spent less than 5 mins and others spent quite some time those outside were wondering how fast it was, I was wondering if I did anything wrong lool.

Next I got was a congrats message .

Was it a coincidence that the guy who interviewed me was a senior I didn't know? I doubt it. Was he bias? I really don't know, Was I qualified for the job? Yes .Would I have gotten the job if I had another interviewer? Yes.

People go for interviews praying for favor, this is just one of the ways it plays out.

So OP as long as he met the basic requirements you did well.

If there's no concrete reason for you to leave, stay and channel whatever resources you have into investment, build up your business to a very good level if you can afford to buy a land and build a house pls do.

But if you are staying its their house, their rules and try contributing something to the upkeep shikena .
Family › Re: When Your Joy Is Not Complete by NoToPile: 7:21am On Jun 07, 2017
Madam pls your joy is complete take good care of your lovely babies.

That said.

I am surprised that some are not talking about the root cause of all this insecurity. We all know (except we want to decieve ourselves) that the only reason why the OP is bothered is because there is a culture, tradition or even elders somewhere that will likely remind her one day in the future that her daughters have no place in a whole lot of things. And it doesn't even matter if the hubby and his parents dont have a problem with girls only, its about the culture , tradition, elders people in the village etc etc. In fact it is even your own people that will do the worrying for you.

Until we get rid of this "female does not have a place in fathers house" thing that is very predominant in some cultures . Women will continue going to the extremes to have a male child its just that simple. A lot of people can take a guess where the OPs husband is from and they most likely will be right.

There is a difference between desiring a male child or even a female if you have a male already (which is normal for everyone) and getting depressed hypertensive and even puting your life at risk to have one . I have seen a whole lot of this repeating itself over and over , women feel and fear that if they don't have a son they don't have a place in that family and sadly they are right.

Someone once told me "For where I come from if you never born boy you never start" I was a bit shocked but not too surprised because we see it everywhere. You hear things like " Na sos so girl e dey born e never born boy" from people who are not even related to the person. The discrimination is real and only those involved in such cultures can understand.

To even think all some people want is a healthy child , whether its a boy a girl.

This is the root cause and until its taken out scenarios like the OPs own will continue to occur.
Career › Re: Why Nigerians Find It Hard To Disclose Their Income by NoToPile: 5:18am On Jun 07, 2017
Very simple

If its higher than what they expect reaction is wow I didn't know he earned up to that.
If it's lower than the perceived income its nawa oo upon all the shakara so its just xyz he receives.

A lot of Nigerians generally don't mind their business so once they know their perception of you will change , they can't just be neutral. Either they begin to look at you as a cash cow or they look down on you.

Apart from husband and wife, everyother person shouldnt know IMO, the response is simple we signed a very strong non disclosure agreement shikena .

I know standard chartered has a strong non disclosure agreement, never heared of their salary scale , even when several people asked on Nairaland it was a dead end. Even my bestie who works there told me they have a non disclosure agreement.

So if people want to make you feel bad for not telling them your earnings that's their problem.

If you want to know how much to negotiate during interview, there are ranges everywhere on Nairaland for most big organizations, most banks too.

Went for a naming ceremony in my neighborhood years back. The baby was so restless I was wondering what could have unsettled him that much. His cap gave way to a badly shaven and bloodied head shocked shocked shocked
I screamed 'Aunty, what happened to the baby's hair/scalp?!
There were other people in the sitting room, nobody replied. Aunty was stifling a cry sad sad
My elder sister sitting beside me dragged me out and informed me those men in there are alfas who did the shaving. I asked why they had to do that, I was made to understand that's the religious belief of the muslims sad
I personally don't think that's cool even now but then, na dem sabi angry
I won't do even the one-year thingy gaan undecided
Those alfas won't carry a baby that is not shaven oo for naming they shave it if its not shaven before they can do the Islamic naming proper, Although I have seen the one that was shaved carefully but just can't risk it ni sharp razor on a delicate skin.

Those that scrape at one year, that one is better at least the baby's head is a bit strong, some do cut the whole hair after about a year if one part of the head grows and another bald with the belief that when growing again everywhere will grow with hair, at least that one is understandable. This is the first time I am hearing of the 1st year hair cutting tradition sef, so whether the hair is evenly distributed or not they will cut the hair chai na wa oo.

Even a boy child hair I think should not be cut until the scalp is strong enough.
