The same people that will castigated the OP if she married an abroad person she didn't know well after 3 months are the same ones saying she should have married him and then would have still blamed her for gold digging if things went wrong in the marriage. |
Ninisun:This one doesn't look like a traditional birth attendant, from the poster they said it's physio trad( only God knows what that means) maybe those who set bone, a traditional bone setter won't even attempt to deliver a baby I think. But then even the traditional birth attendants and the traditional bone setters know when to refer to a general hospital, lots of them have been trained by govt agencies, taking about in Lagos sha. This one is doing cut and join she's not even a proper traditional birth attendant. |
Are you really sure he recognized you? Did you call his name and he ignored you. Even if he did recognize you and snubbed you it's not a big deal, get over with it, your own way too will open. |
GloriousGbola:Custodians of the law indeed, anyway I believe it's good to have a paper to show you are married, you have a school cert, degree, birth cert, notification of birth from the hospital etc you have a document so I always raise an eyebrow when I read stuffs like these here. It's not even about divorce or separation anything like that for me it just makes sense to have something to present as evidence of marriage. I just love documentation |
Mindlog:Wait first I thought gap tooth is a natural phenomenon , is there an artificial way of having one? This is serious. |
Mindlog:Just when you think you have read it all on NL, something else just pops up. ![]() |
Let her be and let her go so she can meet her own. Awon time waster gbogbo. Mid last year to this time is around 12 months, one full year oo, you were using someone as rebound for one full year. One year you were using a lady to reserve space, immediately you noticed she was not your beauty type you should have let her go. Mtchew. |
Samuelnze:A very deep song @topic I Also like Oceans by hillsong Lots of spirit inspired songs that minister to the soul out there. |
Hymns, hymns and hymns Thank God we must sing hymns in every service in my church, after praise worship, opening hymns ![]() Old rugged cross All creatures of our God and king (my best hymn) Praise to the lord the almighty O lord our help in ages past Holy holy holy Etc etc If hymns are now sang in my local dialect Chai, it's sounds deeper. |
I still can't wrap it round my head why people won't want their marriages legally documented. It's only on NL I read these things. These things are not supposed to be open for discussions at all how on earth won't a marriage be documented legally in this day and age, what is the evidence of marriage. He doesn't even want to guys to have a solemnization in church where you can get the certificate, I doubt he will even let you register that trad marriage at the LGA it seems the major aim is not to have any legal document. |
Sorry I laughed a bit at some statements made in this post. Hope it's not just that she's actually very ignorant of somethings. there's no logical explanation for this at all. None at all. |
KristaPretty:You too sis |
KristaPretty:Kikikiki, I had a good laugh abeg. |
KristaPretty: ![]() Loool oo, una no go kill person for this NL. What if he works at VI and you live in Badagry.just asking. |
crackhaus:Mr crakkhaus Where have you been. ![]() |
Persephone1:I agree with the bolded, the guy himself lacks morals allowing his own mum to sweep and the lady too spoiled matter by raising legs for her, either way she should have collected the broom and not raise leg for the woman, it's actually wrong where I come from, no matter who the elder is family member or not, whether it is your own home or not. I also feel the sweeping in her presence was just to elicit a reaction, it's strange for a potential mother inlaw to start sweeping the particular place the female guest of her son is |
The last time it was 3 kids in drowning accident now 4 kids in fire. I don't know how the parents will survive this tradgedy. This is terrible. |
Gbadespet:So what should he have done? Allowed them take his son and tagg him a cultist, murderer or whatever, those people can make you write and sign anything under duress. Best bet is to sort it out with them before it gets out of hand, no be Naija police again, me thinks these people have some demons working with them. Police, that's how they stopped my cousins at Igando bustop tagged them as militants simply because my cousins friend wore camo shorts that was when they had some little crises at igando. Next thing they took them to police station, before his mum got there they had handcuffed them( my cousin and his friend) with other people made them sit on the floor and were about taking photographs. Boys that were going to pick up their elder cousin who just gave birth to the mum's place for proper omugwo. They collected money and they released them, nothing incriminating was found on them or their car, heck they were not even driving a fancy car, neither were they even on the so called dreads they normally profile people with. Very terrible people. |
The amount you have stated will be okay to assist your brother. Congratulations to you guys in advance. |
I love their outfits always colorful and always distinct, once I see their outfit I know this is kalabari same way Yoruba can't do without asoke, it's good for tribes to maintain their dressing culture. |
Nawa. Anyway the key word here is help, their own help can come in form of a nanny, creche housekeeper abi what do they call them and most importantly the spouse. Nanny services seem to be quite costly there unlike here, that might also seem to be a factor not that some don't need it, by the time they calculate the fees, they may just decide to find a way to take care of the baby themselves. So both spouses put their hands on deck to take care of the baby and the chores over there unlike here which most times the wife will still have to do all by herself thereby necessitating the need for help And the environment is different, its a very big factor. |
If you can go all natural for a baby it's the best. Coconut oil, real ori, olive oil that's all, you would have less rashes issue. Sometimes those baby creams are the culprit. Can you just leave the skin for like 2 days without any application and see what happens? As for the vital plus just ignore the recommendation take the baby to a paed instead to be sure it's just normal heat rashes. They might recommend sudocream or something. |
bukatyne: the bolded is what lot of male Nairalanders call good marriages.2nd bolded is what happens most times Like you said men should bring more than money even the money gan, how many men can even bring it fully to cater for all the family needs at least women are bringing money too plus their primary role. |
All these threads sef Provide fully - lailai Wife is working now makes more money - trouble. I don't even understand what the problem is exactly. |
QuinModah:@bolded have things gotten this bad? As per dressing if you talk too much they will say everyone has freedom to dress the way they want so it's just better to look and pass The way some girls dress nowadays is very alarming, growing up we were taught some basics of dressing, there are clothes you wear with vest aka Shimi, there are underwear for different types of outfits, chiffon/light materials you wear solid underwear, there's a level to which you must button your shirt to etc etc. The neck line a slim little bust person can get away with, a busty person can't. Why on earth should I be seeing the line between your buttocks, are you the first person to wear a Jean trouser? Now some don't even wear pant or bra not to talk of other undergarments. Don't they teach these things anymore? These are basic things I believe every girl should know. Either way na to look and pass o. |
Eyah OP, I have been married for some years I speak with my mum practically everyday. She shouldn't communicate with her parent because she's married? Are they talking about you or the marriage or what exactly seems to be the problem. |
HazzanTazzan:Please and please hope you know there are different types, it's better to go to the hospital and be wrong than to stay at home and everything goes haywire. I had a baby who was jaundiced at birth, he was admitted to NICU, 7 days phototherapy and all and we were discharged, the stuff didn't clear, instead his eyes were getting a greenish tint, his urine was like Yello dye, I drank unripe pawpaw ehn, gave him drops Then at 6 weeks after no improvement on a Sunday evening I took him back to the MCC and there did a quick test and the stuff was high, they demanded for Liver function tests and all everything was going haywire within an instant and all told to come back the next working day, git the result that day, I saw the result and I was already crying saw the consultant and we were referred to Lasuth to see a gastroenterologist, the scan came out clean. They said it was prolonged jaundice -prolonged congugated Hyperbilirubinemia. Got to Lasuth they asked practically a whole lot of questions ehn, and did all manner of tests again from HIv to Hep B to Scan to Torches, even urine for reducing substances, I was to collect urine in a bottle for a 6 week old baby Chai, every damn test came out clean they just couldn't find the cause we were just going every other Monday for appointment and then the consultant Dr S ( Very nice man) said let's watch what his body will do and God intervened it began to drop and his Yello nes of eyes reduced and finally one wonderful morning his eyes was pure white, urine clear it cleared at 5 months plus. He's my miracle baby. Point is it is better for them to take that child to the hospital. 3 weeks is just too long |
Mystallon:That is what most people don't realize, |
Singlelover:Take that baby to the hospital ooo if you are in Lagos take him to Maternal and child center oo. Jaundice is not joke abeg you. If he needs phototherapy they will place him under blue light. If it's EBT they will know. 3 weeks jaundice abeg oo. Please I beg you with whatever you belive in. |
Flipmac:This your question ehn I don't even know how to answer it. It's a Yes but some constructions are still on going so there's a little no. There's some construction going on at afromedia, Igboelerin side again but there's a free service well tarred lane that will lead to Iyana ibaVolks direct from okoko. Same when coming from Barracks straight to okoko. There's Some construction at volks The fast lanes are not yet opened but there's tarred roads to pass, except for that section under construction at igbo elerin/ afromedia side. The only place you will have bad road / road construction induced traffic is igboelerin/ afromedia and maybe Volks. Either way it's way way way better than whatever you remembered it was. |
gift01:When I mentioned Agbara I was referring to constant light only not the house rent. Morogbo (Lagos side) Jida (inside Agbara market) Agbara estate, Opic Estate / Diya GATE, ilutuntun, one community opposite Opic, they have good light. But seems rent is higher in these places because of the companies in the industrial estate. Jida might be cheaper sha, it has some agboile parts |
Wannasale:Location in Lagos? Okay location seen. Your contact nko? |
