I don't know how people don't know that some churches that don't have the license do ask their members to go to the registry so that they can get the cert and their marriage will be valid in the eyes of the law, then they come for solemnization and the church cert is presented to them.

If they were going to wed in maybe catholic or Anglican or any licensed pentecostal or other orthodox churches there wouldn't be a need for this, since they would issue the same cert.

I happen to witness the incident, and I'd say both are at fault, there were just few cars bfr the soldier's bus which the police saw, it cost the police nothing to spare few minutes to allow the soldiers pass for sake of peace bfr stopping other cars, they might have been on orders and late coming is always punished in the military. Somehow they always want to remove the God factor from IVF. They expect people to state it in their testimonies like it is not another process of conceiving.

That's why I asked in my earlier comment if they should also be stating if it was a particular sexual position they did or their frequency of sex. Because I know a couple who were placed on some medication by a doctor and told how and the frequency of sex. Should they also state it at the alter.

Is it the doctors that make the babies stay in the womb till term and come out healthy? Also, the fact that some others have failed shows that it is not absolute.

But most times, it is people that have a problem with the Christian faith or those with questionable Christian values that usually try to remove God from IVF babies.

When I gave them my card I never bother to check the total balance until they gave me receipts and I was shock to see 5999 for the oil. 3L oil I would have gotten for 3k else where.

I think the cheapest veg oils are about 1,500per liter, so a 3 liter should cost 4,500 plus or minus. 5 liter is around 8k.some Nigerian brands like laziz are more expensive
I doubt the one you saw for 2k was 3 liter, maybe 1 or 1.2 liter max.

So for foreign sunflower oil it's okay nau for that price.

We will still buy Nigerian ororo 10k for 5liters the way we are going. It is well.

Given thanks to God for having given birth via IVF, isn't a bad thing. Do you know how expensive IVF is, and many trials it takes for it to be successful for some, the emotional stress and all. It's not easy.

I am always amazed when people just say it's IVF as if IVF itself is a walk in the park, they don't know that it takes a miracle for any trial to be successful, maybe they think it's just about the money.
Those that are going to church for thanksgiving know why they are doing so.

Well there's nothing wrong with saying thank you but it will be more common in small businesses than big or mega companies / govt that pays salary to your account every month.

It's simply 'received with thanks' and it's being courteous, there's nothing wrong with it.

For me I do thank my overall area head for sending my units operating expenses, that one is direct cash, once I get it by hand I say thanks sir, if I am not at the head office as at when it was disbursed and he sends someone to transfer it, I always acknowledge ' Received with thanks sir' some area heads they chop the money, the unit head won't even smell it not to talk of the subordinates.

I disburse to my subordinates, I can't even remember if they say thanks or not, I am the one that will even call and ask if they have seen it, even to acknowledge they have gotten the money they won't. Me sef I have stopped asking, I do the transfer and I carry face, I wonder how hard it is to send a simple message 'money received'

Now,after nearly two years after the husband lost his job,the woman told the husband that she has already bought land and built house on it,the house is near completion and very soon she would like the family to move out of the rented apartment to her house.
The man is in a dilemma,especially whenever he remember all the humiliation and insults from the wife.Meanwhile,before he lost his job,both him and the wife were developing their own site,and he is the major contributor to the development of the site,but along the line,loss of job happened.
The man is seeking my opinion,but I don't know what to tell him other than to ask his wife for him to be in charge of the land's documents.
How will you advice the man,or if you are in this situation,what will you do?

Why would the bolded be the only thing you can tell him, she bought her own land and built on it, apart from the one they were building together right? Would him holding the land documents change who owns the property?

It doesn't sound right neither does it make economic sense for house rent to be added to what the wife would have to cater for when she has a house that's a very major expense cut off, but if he can go ahead to continue paying the rent no problem.


Running a Nigerian home financially is hard enough these days, he should not let his ego make it harder.

Hope he gets a job soonest.

This is really possible. Most people doubt this figure because they are not in such a system. I m working in an environment where we're using 1900 to 2100 liters of diesel in 24hrs if there is no supply from PHCN. Same way big hospitals like university teaching hospitals need 24/7 light as well. Imagine if there is no light for almost a whole month and they're running big diesel generators. In fact, I don't doubt it considering the diesel price now, though there may be an element of stealing which is everywhere even when the diesel was cheap. May God help us in this country. Things are really bad.

Lool only those who work in such environment will understand, the agency I work with we spend an average of 6 million naira daily on our trucks for diesel plus office Gen plants let's approximate to about 150 something million per month, it had tripled compared to what we were spending before,l, diesel diesel and diesel is now what we are shouting up and down.

For a teaching hospital with students and all, I don't doubt it, even if there's a theft somewhere it will be minimal.

That diesel is a money sucker and that is why cost of goods are increasing everyday, these manufacturing companies are spending a whole lot on diesel.

If u have 1300 worth of air time, and it expires, u don't go telling the customer service that why should they take your air time since u did not use it..
