Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by NuCypher: 2:44pm On May 31, 2023 |
Ravissante: Good day everyone, please i need advice on the issue below:
I have received ITA, passed Medicals and also done biometrics. My fiancee and I have our court wedding scheduled for sometime in June 2023 after which, i am to update/inform IRCC of the change in my marital status and then include him as an accompanying spouse.
The issue now is he had, in 2021 and 2022, applied to US for school and was refused VISA both times. Unfortunately, he had put in the second time(in 2022) that he was married to me and provided my name (i.e First name, second name and his surname) in a bid to show home ties.
I feel this may constitute an issue as i entered the pool in NOV 2022 as a single lady (rightly so as i was and am still unmarried) and this misrepresentation may be known to them when running their background check on previously visa denials.
Can anyone who has been in this situation or has an advice for this help with how this can be handled? First, let me just say this was originally ill-advised. I hope you learn from this to make better decisions going forward and not let a man railroad you or put you in a very difficult place to achieve his own objectives. Now my 2 cents. Technically, and in the eyes of the US consulate, you guys are already married. If he supplied all your identifiable information (sex, age, name, maiden name, etc.). By near extension, in the eyes of IRCC, you guys are also married. When they look up your information in other databases, they won't use your biometrics to do so. They will use the same identifiable information he supplied and that could be enough to raise a red flag. Maybe they will push ADR to you and you will be left with no explanations, having already "lied" you were not married. And please note that that ultimately affects the CRS score you are claiming. I'd just advise that you assume yourself married altogether, even if you are applying without the dude. If that doesn't affect your CRS score, all well and good. Go ahead and do some sort of court wedding to finalize the details so you'll have documents to back up your position. Then proceed with your application. Remember that you get a ban for misrepresentation, which appears to be the case here if you proceed without alerting them to your situation. Alternatively, you can risk it and not reveal anything, and it may work for you anyways. That's also possible. A search with your identifiable information may turn up results that are not substantial enough for them to issue ADR or act or anything. But the real problem will come when you want to do spousal visa, in which case it will turn up you were already married and which will invalidate your previous PR application. That could also lead to deportation, since it means you never qualified for the PR in the first place. Really, the decision is up to you. Assume yourself married like you actually really were in the eyes of these foreign embassies, or take the risk. |
Family › Re: My 4-Year-Old Daughter Keeps Telling Mysterious Stories About Her Past Life by NuCypher: 4:23am On May 30, 2023 |
kekakuz: My first daughter happens to live with her mum and i only get to see her Like once a week or less.i have noticed that when ever she talks to me on phone, she talks like an adult. She says things only an experienced person would say.for example, she called me to buy 3 cakes for her birthday and I questioned why. She said because the last time I bought her cake was for her 1st birthday and I have to buy for all the years I did not buy.recently, I asked her who is God and she said God is a spirit that lives in heaven and is on the water and he created everything from the the water. Even though this sounds incoherent and funny, I don't expect such answer from a 4 years old girl. Today, I called her to myself and ask her what of her mum and she answered "which one" I was shocked . I proceeded to ask her how many mum does she have and she said "my mum dies long time ago and this one is her second mum" I was shocked to the bone.so I separated her from her siblings and asked deeper questions even tho I didn't want her to feel scared.she also told me she had 2 othere siblings and called their names. Told me where she lived before and this is where I stopped. I have always wanted to belive In Reincarnation and this is proof before my very eyes . Guys what do you think and how do I handle this Clearly you are reinforcing your biases. You have always had a bias and it appears eliciting responses from your 4-year-old daughter is confirming those biases to you. This is your mind at work, not reality. At it seems, if any kids makes up random, delusional answers for you, you swallow them hook, line and sinker, because preconceived biases exist in your mind that you are trying to confirm. |

Kobojunkie: All I read is you equate love with sex and your wife denying you sex means she has no love for you. And you somehow think the blame should all be on her as far as the problems you perceive in your marriage, no be so? **yawn*** Always stupid as usual. Never fails to spew rubbish from that dilapidated tank of a mouth you have. I'm guessing your twisted sense missed that part where he said the "height" of it was her not calling him to ask if he arrived safely or not. |
Properties › Re: The Act That Inspires Me In My New Street In Calabar (photos) by NuCypher: 8:20pm On May 23, 2023 |
Chifriend: So I recently packed into this street in the heart of Calabar called Mekenge Layout and I have noticed something unique.
Since Water Board stopped functioning in the state, water has been a challenge to the residents of Calabar. This has made many resort to digging personal borehole for private use.
In other houses that do not have borehole, access to water remains a huge challenge to them.
The compound I recently packed into is just a single room with no water. So sourcing for water is still a challenge to us without borehole.
However, while majority of the compounds are upstairs (big houses) and have borehole, none of them care to remember those who don't have. An exception to this is a bungalow (a small house) who decided to give out the water generally and FREELY to anyone who needs it.
This amazes me a lot and show me a great lesson to learn.
It simply tells me that to give is not by having it all before you can give.
It shows even when you have it all, you may not still give.
It also shows that who may help you in life might not be the richest person, but he who is willing to help you.
There is even a hotel in the same street but the hotel don't give water. This could have at least formed part of their corporate social responsibilities, but they don't.
This should be a lesson to you that who will help you in this life might not be who has it all.
What is your take on this?
Picture 1 & 2 - showing showing houses in the street. I hope you'll understand nobody owes you anything. Even the hotel doesn't owe you anything. If anyone gives you water, then that'll all good. If they don't, don't act like you deserve it. |

Family › Re: Is It Ideal To Ask One's Kid To Fight Back by NuCypher: 3:57pm On May 10, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: Violence is never the right answer as far as bullying. Also, since the boy in question is autistic, it wouldn't be right to ask your son to beat him up. You should talk to the boy's mother about the problem so she realizes that you are not at all happy with the situation and if necessary, keep your kid away from him if that is what it takes. At the same time, you should begin teaching your kid what to do when bullied since he is already exposed to it this early in life and might be wondering why his own folks aren't fighting the "enemy" for him.
Equally, take time to teach your kid all you can about autism so he maybe better understand such kids, and why the kid next door keeps being mean to him. At least that way he grows with a strong self-esteem instead of thinking he is hated by the neighbor's kid. This is the worst advice anyone can ever give a kid. He should teach his kids about autism? He really should teach his 3-year-old kid about autism? Are you smoking something? In trying to be nice with your response, you are actually been unwittingly evil. Nobody should ever have to take this horrible advice. |

Look at this supposed Christian woman who didn't mind committing adultery with a married man and then going off to marry him secretly while he was still married to his wife. I wonder what god helped her justify that, as he supposedly loves her more than anyone else in the world. Abi? This woman is just too foolish. |

Well-deserved. This is the kind of justice that you can't just help but celebrate. When karma hits, it hits hard. I don't even care if this jail term is for organ harvesting or whatever. I just happier that all the corruption this dude has engaged in as a senator in Nigeria is finally been punished in the UK. I'm sure a lot of his colleagues are watching and realizing that the lack of pity many Nigerians have for this organ harvester is because of the many crimes he committed as a senator. For all the other senators and governors, their day of reckoning is coming and it won't be in Nigeria. |

It's not unusual for people to get carried away in cases like this and show a little gluttony. In workplaces where lunch is free, some workers stuff some in their bag and take it home. This happens a lot at Google and the culprits are mostly white staff.
The problem is when it is done in excess and there's nothing our Nigerian brothers won't do in excess. It's the same way the Nigerian pushes every single boundary until it borders on corruption. That excessiveness is the problem, not the stuffing of some bit of food in a bag. But then, it's just not a Nigerian problem. Indians do it do. Many people from other countries do it. But when a group of people start do it a lot more often, then it's only consequential that they get labelled. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Outward Appearance Is So Important For Christians by NuCypher: 4:09am On Apr 24, 2023 |
majorgr: That's not true! Jesus sense of dress in his time was well put. Infact his clothes were so special that the roman soldiers had to gamble for it at his crucifixion. The bible also went further to describe the quality of the clothes he wore, a seamless clothes Woven without seam, that's a high quality expensive clothes too and not a commoner dress. Furthermore, to let us know how decent and organise he was, when he resurrected, the bible said he carefully folded the piece of linen clothing that covered his face, that's attention to details which I suppose a commoner would not have. Sometimes it worries me when I see movies depicting Christ with dirty, tartared clothes as if His father in heaven wasn't providing for him. Someone who has a treasurer in his days is not considered poor, the bible also said that a group of women ministered to him. I believe and I suspect that they were the ones in charge of his clothes to make sure his public appearance was well represented. All you are doing is gasping for straws trying to justify the ostentatiousness of your spiritual daddies. The Roman soldiers gambling for Jesus's robe says nothing about its being expensive. They could have been gambling for it simply because the dude was a celebrity prisoner, the same way an auction would sell Osama bin Laden's garment for a fortune today if it were available. Keep your head straight and stop looking for justification for the expensive tastes of your spiritual daddies. They are all failures who know no better than deceiving their congregation to enrich their own pockets. Jesus was a simple man who led a meek, simple life. Can't say the same of the rapist Coza pastor fatoyinbo or the witch-slapping Oyedepo. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Outward Appearance Is So Important For Christians by NuCypher: 10:00am On Apr 23, 2023 |
Why christians care so much about their fitted shirts, ironed trousers and polished shoes will continue to amaze me? Take a look at the pastors. Some of them wear the most expensive items like wristwatches, chains, etc. You start to wonder if these people really represent Christ who preached more modest forms of expressions. In his day, kings dressed in glorious robes and golden attires, but Jesus himself (at least according the Bible) only wore what many commoners wore. Today, you see pastors dressed more or less like presidents and company CEOs. Most of them have left Jesus in the wake with their colorful and expensive attires, while their church members can barely afford three-square meals.
At a point, you start to wonder if we shouldn't all be scared of this pastors and their teachings. The same way Obedients view Babablu supporters as perpetrators of evil since they are colluding to bring to power a destructive element which doesn't have Nigeria's interests at heart, should we not start regarding these so-called Christians who spread the teachings of these evil pastors (e.g. COZA pastor, pastor jerrycurl chris, pastor witch-slapping oyedepo) as perpetrators of the greatest evils? I have to ask! |

chrisoo: Hello Guys,
I landed Toronto 2 days ago and am currently staying in an Airbnb around Milton, until April 30, 2023. This is not cheap. Please does anybody have information on very cheap accommodation in Downtown Toronto (arround Toronto School of Management ...22 College Street) where my college is located. Budget is below $800 and I dont mind a shared accommodation from May 1., 2023. Please any information will be highly appreciated. I don search tire. Its like all the homeowners want guarantors/4-6 months upfront...etc
Thank you Chrisoo You'll get a shared accommodation in downtown for this price, but not expect anything fanciful. All you'll get is one room, possibly very crappy. Or you'll get someone's den. Lower your expectations considerably. Go on Kijiji to look and filter by prices. In the end you'll save on transport, but you won't get that much comfort. Otherwise, you may want to look at more suburban areas around Toronto where your budget may fetch you a reasonable basement, though that's hard. But you'll probably spend more in commuting. |
