lyndaoyewole: replying with such disdain while slipping in the bilingual condition. learn to converse Is bilingual not EE? Why should that be left out? EE has been redefined since the golden days of the 2018-2020 when only 20-year-olds with masters stood a chance. Now, category draws make it even more possible for people who wouldn't have qualified in those golden days. It's still EE; it's no different. |

Enculer2: Wrong again. You have limited knowledge on this one. Do not mislead people.
I got EE directly without PNP at the age of 42, married with with 3 kids. I had masters, over 10 years experience and I know French. So it must NOT be via PNP.
Some people had one year Canadian experience and got it at 43 even without French.
Again, do not mislead people. Do not make categorical statements when they are wrong. I got EE at 42 and people older than me have got it.
Do not demoralise people on here. Getting EE in your forties is possible and so people of that age brackets should feel encouraged. It is harder but possible as I can confirm.
They need to hear success stories and not doom and gloom info.
Salaam. Good point, though your 10-year experience is irrelevant. Experience is capped at 3 years. |

lyndaoyewole: for EE to work at even age 40 it must be PNP. even with 8 ielts, masters plus bilingual status its still very difficult. go ahead & use crs calculator before dishing out misleading info. if EE was that easy, no one will use these expensive school pathways That's EE with someone who's married and even 44 years of age, but with French and with sibling in Canada. Total score 476. With the recent French draws, that's an easy ITA.

Zyxsc: I'm a software engineer working remotely from Nigeria. I earn a 7-figure monthly salary. With my salary only (at an average exchange rate of 850/$), it would take me about 6.6 years to save up 100 million, provided I have zero dependents and had to cater only for myself throughout those years. It's quite a naive way to project this though because a lot of things can happen along those years. But it still gives an idealistic comparison base.
So my question goes to Nigerians currently living or have lived abroad. Can you tell us the country, the job title, and how long it would take to save up to NGN100 milliion, assuming you have zero dependents and have to cater for only yourself. Do remember to factor in taxes if any and other living expenses for yourself alone
The reason for my question is not far-fetched. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to sell ones' properties worth milliions just to JAPA and go start over again. Please, refrain from dragging the country's situation into your answer or any other reason to JAPA. Kindly focus on answering the question as best as possible.
Thanks. |

Adunnishugar: Hello house,
I need advice as I have almost gotten to the point of giving up on this Canadian PR. I and my husband are in the pool with me as the main applicant. We currently have a score of 472. But it seems like they won’t be calling that any time soon at this rate. I have tried to look into most PNP routes but we don’t fit into any as I don’t have any family in Canada, I don’t have tech experience either.
Is there anything I am over looking ? Is there another route we can consider for PR ? Please I need advice. My NOC is Administrative Assistant. I have considered learning French but I think it would take me too long as I am overwhelmed with al lot of other activities at the moment. I think you got the best advice already. You need to realise that your Canada challenges will not stop at just getting PR. If you are overwhelmed now and can't drive yourself farther to achieve your goals, then you need to ask yourself if you'll be ready to drive yourself even farther when you face the typical Canada challenges that people face on the daily being in Canada. Let's be honest, applying for PR, whether by learning French to improve your scores or doing a second master, is the easy part of this Canada PR journey. Being and living in Canada itself is not even that easy, forget all the paparazzi. How far will you push yourself to get your desired job? How far will you push yourself to save in an economy that just wants to continue taking from you? How far will you push yourself to bear the loneliness that comes with not seeing your family members you left back in Nigeria for months on end? That push you is what you need to start giving yourself now. I know people who have combined their jobs with learning French and increased their scores. They are often the ones best prepared for the challenges Canada offers. The ones who complain day and night are often the ones who got the PR on a platter and thought life should be easier from there. |

ExcellencyFSA: Good day my people and happy new month. Please I want to know if there is anyone that has ever booked for flight on AirFrance or KLM Nigeria website. Is it safe? Cheaper? Better? Or I should go through agents or sites like Wakanow? Thanks. Always book through the airline's website. That's always the best option. Booking through agents may be cheaper, but the tickets often come with terms and conditions that are not immediately apparent to you. |

buchito1: Safe Which flight no safe? The plan is to get to your destination in peace! The cheaper the better… But I think none of these airlines are cheap.
If you want cheap, check Egyptair or Ethiopian air
It’s always advisable to book for flights directly from the airline’s website just incase… Even though these third party apps could give good deals.
But when e reach time to refund you, them go deny you the way Peter deny Jesus. I think he's asking if booking on the site is safe, not if flying with the airline is safe. |

It has always been the case that men in authority positions in Nigeria corner exhibits and appropriate it to themselves. Abba Kyari did this a lot and he wasn't the only one. Nearly all police officers do this. It's a completely new low to hear a deputy governor doing this also. This is just digusting and at an absolute low level reflective of the crass nature of men in authority positions in Nigeria. I feel like puking. |

Penguin2: Well, I understand you.
But I wouldn’t be talking about a ‘Living God’ if I were an atheist.
Unfortunately I’m not an atheist. I’m theist; Diest if you wish.
I believe that a supreme being is responsible for the order in nature; that an intelligent designer must have designed the universe.
I know you would say there’s no proof to the existence of such being, but there’s neither incontrovertible proof to the contrary, yet.
Now, the problem I have here is that the concept of God is being misrepresented and misused to manipulate Africans and gullible people.
So, don’t blame me for making reference to a “Living God.” I agree with you on the manipulation carried out by supposed men of god who just spill their own opinions, but sell it as facts. Nevertheless, you could have simply left out that line and had a more coherent piece that didn't need to pander to a god whether he lies or not. The line wasn't necessary. The only thing it does is make it seem like you the one not getting the right "revelation" from the god in question. |

Penguin2: Mr Kumuyi Should tell us the God he hears from, cuz it’s becomin apparent he doesn’t hear from the living God; cuz the living God doesn’t lie. What I have always found funny is how someone would write all of these things that make sense and then still include this line!? Like, are you actually okay yourself? Which of the gods should we believe now, yours who doesn't lie or that of Kumuyi who talks to him on a regular basis? By even entertaining that belief that there is a god that doesn't lie, you are innately justifying Kumuyi's position because he's just going to tell you he has better information from the same god. Why does this write have to include a god in his own lie of reasoning in the first place? Omo, I just tire. |

AuschwitzPrefec: Slavery
More Goyim tax slaves .
This is the same situation in Canada if not worse.
But why anyone will see the JewK as a place to migrate to beats me .
Same Jewk that as late as the 60s the average Brit could only afford to take a hot bath once every two weeks .
If not for the 0koro coup of Jan 15 and the follow-up senseless 0koro instigated civil war that benefited British and Rothschild through war debt reparations, JewK would still have been a glorified serfdom.
In 1983, the Thatcher govt under the advice of the same instigator of the Nigerian civil war -Baron Victor Rothschild, backed a coup in Nigeria which saw the demon Buhari assume power and pay off all of Nigeria's civil war debt in one full swoop so as to bail the JewK out of an economic depression ochestrated by a spike in oil pricing. Fast forward to 2015, Buhari was brought back to finish Nigeria with more senseless debt to Jewish banksters so much so that the Jews in both London and Jew York own Nigeria.
Nigeria's case is so sad. A proud people who fell for Jewish tricks. Stop reading too much 4chan. It's not good for the mind. |

id4sho: Interesting. Am a layman, can a rig transport itself or it was towed Why the huge crew on board ? A rig is typically towed by smaller boats called tugboats. They are designed to tow a rig from one place to another, or to the location where drilling is to take place. While towing a rig, a lot of precautions have to be put in place to avoid incidents like this. I think these people got lackadaisical at some point and overlooked certain safety issues which caused this disaster. It rarely happens that a rig suffers an accident while it is being towed. There are different types of rigs however. Land rigs are usually driven in pieces to the drilling location and then assembled on site. Swamp rigs like this one, and Jackups like the ones packed in Marina, are the ones that are towed. Drilling ships are self-driven, because they are ships which carry the drilling rig itself. The huge crew is necessary to operate the rig. There are different people doing different jobs. It's like a company with different assignments for different people. There's a painter, there is catering crew to help with food, laundrymen to launder people's clothes, there are mechanics to fix stuff, there are electricians to fix electric stuff, there are also management people like the company rep, toolpusher who mobilizes people for work, the driller who drills the well, and all required assistants who support the drilling operation, including crane operators who operate the rig's giant cranes. There are handymen for quick, rough jobs. There are service contractors who attend to all phases of the well operation. All kinds of job functions exist. In all, you can sometimes have up to 100 people at a time on a rig like this. On some other bigger rigs like a drillship, you can have up to 300 people, because there's a completely separate marine crew that operate the ship itself. |

i have waited and checked my email and online application page. there has been no letter or update on my profile since the one they sent after i submitted the form. This rarely happens. ITA issuance is pretty much automatic if you are the pool. Make sure your profile is alright or get someone more experienced to check it for you. |

I also worked on oil rigs in Nigeria. You can't sell it to me that Depthwize supposedly holds itself to high safety standards. I used to be safety manager on several rigs in Nigeria, South Africa and some other West African countries. Knowing what I know on how lackadaisical Nigerian employers treat safety issues, it won't surprise me much if some lapse is what led to this incident. It shouldn't happen and there's no excuse for it. Those who work on rigs know the amount of planning that should go into any towing operation. This incident shows no planning went into this. |

Emma549: Hello House, Happy to have found this thread. Please I need your professional advice. I am coming to BC in September with open work permit with my wife who is the student with two years Msc program study permit. I am an Electrical Engineer with over 10 years experience. I also have over 8 years experience in Heavy duty equipment services and maintenance. I am 31 years and I am in express pool with CRS of 366. My wife 27 years is also in express entry pool with CRS score 469.
Please I need best advice to get PR in Canada fast. Target is to get PR before one year in Canada.
I need experience and information that can help this out profile to become permanent residents.
Thanks so much Go to Canada with your wife. Let her apply for express entry without her MSc, keep schooling, while you start to look for work immediately. If you are truly 8 years experience in heavy duty equipment and you know your stuff very well, you will get a job. That's a high demand field in Canada. Make sure to put together a very good resume and seek help with interviewing in Canada. Nothing really special about interviewing in Canada, except don't let yourself be influenced by your Nigerian biases. When your wife finishes MSc, let her update her profile. Though she may be lucky to get PR before finishing her masters. When she does finish though, she gets post-graduate work visa, if eligible, and she can find work. I don't know why you are rushing to get PR in one year. Why, if I may ask? What's the objective? You can live in Canada without stress without PR. And it's not like it gives you any special advantage in the period your wife is studying. Or correct me if I'm wrong. Go through the process like several others have done and set your target on getting the PR when you do, however long it takes. It won't take more than three years anyways, and take those three years as time to settle in Canada and know your environment. |
