cristianisraeli:Not a single cell in my body doubts this. But to me, it honestly makes no sense to reciprocate foolishness with foolishness. Just my opinion though. |
cristianisraeli: Hebrew! This is exactly what I talked about. You just keep working yourself out believing that you are in a competition which you need to win with the other religion. Bro, I'm not made for that kind of life. The gates of hell cannot prevail over the kingdom of God, I do not believe I can be Islamised by anyone so I wouldn't be beating myself with needless paranoia night and day and thinking I need to put in some ridiculous shows to defend my religion. If you think someone can Islamise you, and you feel the urge to do something about it, goodluck! |
cristianisraeli:So you expect me to start fighting the stealth fight for Christianity by wailing about Arabic language being taught in Muslim neighbourhoods in the north?... Was that what your own bible instructed you to do?... I swear religion is the only reason why Africa is useless. Meanwhike the so called 'wisdom' you talk about is just a result of political discontent. Everbody just suddenly turn to wise sages after 2015 elections.. Even people lime FFK now na pot of wisdom for many... yeye dey smell.. |
cristianisraeli:You say NO to Arabic because you see yourself being in a phantom competition or religious battle, a position which politicians have engineered in your mind to destroy Nigeria (and the world) for their personal interests. You learn French cos of your neighbours but the fact is that with globalisation, Nigerians even visit Arab countries more than they do French countries. I'm a Christian from southern Nigeria but while I havent visited any French country before, I have visited Dubai. All these is even inconsequential, the plain fact is that the people up north prefer Arabic to French. Now they have their alternative. I am still confused at you because you havent been able to explain to me how the northerners getting their Arabic Language affects your own rights?.. Kindly tell me? |
cristianisraeli:I am a Christian from the south but I am immune to the nonsense brainwashing and brain configuration from politicians like the duo on this thread who have for decades, distorted and manipulated and configured the minds of people to self destruction all because of their selfish personal interests. To me, there is absolutely nothing wrong if any language or even religious study is added to the curriculum. People who are interested can go ahead and enjoy it as long as my wards arent forced to offer these subjects. And yes, the so called Arabic isnt compulsory and there will not be a single school down south which would even offer it. |
cristianisraeli:Like I said before, even Arabic is more widely spoken than French globally. It may not be useful to me or you, but there are over 70million Nigerians who may prefer it to French or Spanish or Chinese etc. So why cant you just be human and let them be?... Nobody is forcing you to offer Arabic for crying out loud. Gosh! Who has messed with the heads of people like this?... E no go better for people like FFK and co who deliberately choose to spread dangerous inciting lies lnowing full well that they have a large audience. |
Lightening: Lightening:Arabic is useless to me, Arabic is useless to you, but it is useful and more preferred (than French) to over 70 million people living up in northern Nigeria. This is common sense. Now can you kindly tell me the advantages of French to a secondary sxhool pupil in Nigeria? |
Ngokafor:You deserve a total brain transplant cos it doesnt seem the one you have is capable of comprehension. You deserve serious sympathy. |
cristianisraeli:Some kind of noise is just silly to be honest. We are in a democracy, if it is put up for a vote, the number of people who would opt for Arabic as a new alternative to French would take the day. The Arabic language as a subject is Optional, you cann ignore it since it is useless to you. French has always been the only foreign language which is made compulsory in the curriculum. Now an alternative is being added based on popular demand from up north and people like you are being pained and lamenting pointlessly. What kind of man loses sleep because his neighbour gets what they clamoured for?... Did you clamour for Spanish and it wasnt added? ... Na wa for bad belle oo |
ivolt:First of all, Arabic is a LANGUAGE, not a religion. Oh yes it may be relevant mainly to people up north who are of a particular religion, but it still remains what it is, just a language. To respond to your concerns, what is the value of having FRENCH language and Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa language in the curriculum?... If you think Language modules aren't necessary in our curriculum, then we can as well advocate to have all language courses scrapped. Or then again, while you think French is more relevant than Arabic language, there are people up north who prefer to be taught Arabic language instead of French. Arabic is the ligua franca spoken in many countries of the world, it is a more widely spoken language than French Arabic is useless to me and I prefer my children to be taught French in school. But while I live, I have to let others live their lives. Stop letting your opinions in life be moulded by psychotic political losers like FFK whose stock in trade is to distort simple information to religiously incite people against one another. FFK stated that Arabic and Islamic studies were made compulsory and CRS removed from curriculum; every single thing in that sentence is a lie to deceice people who have refused to verify info but who choose the lazy route out by listening to jobbers. |
Lightening:The Arabic is an OPTIONAL subject. My common sense tells me this option will only be picked by northerners who find it valuable to them. So why should this be the business or problem of a southern kid who has the option to offer the alternative French? What is too difficult for Nigerians of 2017 to understand in this?... must everything be a ground for nonsense complaints in Nigeria today? |
DamiBukola:Of course these two guys are just sorry pathetic losers who are desperate to cause chaos through religious and tribal incitement. The info they both just passed in those tweets is clearly false, and they are well aware of it; they deliberately divisively distort info to deceive gullible minds because they know most Nigerians are simply emotional and wouldnt bother going to confirm anything. Correct me if I'm wrong, and please dont quote the tweets of these 2015 sore losers as your source of info: 1) CRS was not removed from the curriculum, it was only merged into Civic Education. IRS was also merged into civic education and the students still have a choice to select CRS or IRS. Of course the divisive losers like FFK and Reno wouldnt include this bit of info in their tweets cos it wouldn't 'serve' their divisive motives. 2) IRS was made compulsory, every student can still offer to choose the IRS or CRS module under the civic education course. 3) I understand a new course was added to the curriculum under the 'Foreign Language' category. In aďdition to french, there will now be Arabic Language in the curriculum. Since it is compulsory to offer at least one foreign language, students now have the option of picking French or Arabic, as against only French which seemed to exist before. Inclusion of this OPTION would be very exciting news to fellows up north who have a leaning towards Arab/middle-eastern world. But Of course, the moronic FFK who just this morning, called Lai Mohammed a fool and a liar just deliberately lied to you and the rest of the world that Islamic/Arabic studies is being made compulsory by the recent changes. He obviously had to add the tag 'Islamic' infront of the Arabic to drive home his divisive motive. If you cant see the motives of FFK and Reno here in distorting info to suit their devilish motives of fuelling religious and ethnic discontent, then it's a pity. |
lapagegirl:And who says the IRS is by force?... Who even says CRS has been removed?... How I wish at least the learned Nigerians can just for once, learn to find out info for themselves instead of swallowing deliberately divisively distorted info from the tweeter space of political morons like FFK and Reno. |
ivolt:The keyword there is that, IT IS OPTIONAL. It is useless to you, it is useless to me, but it is useful and good news to some people up north who use it for their religion, and who need it for communication when they visit destinations of choice in the middle-east/Arab world. Once again, IT IS OPTIONAL, so why cant you and everyone else just ignore it and let the dudes up north be?... But then, since everything must now be seen as religious competition, then I suggest HEBREW language (or whatever language the opposers want) should also be included in the curriculum and it can be offered by CHristian students down south who can't sleep because students up north are being taught Arabic Language. How silly does that sound? |
Godmicrophone:Arabic is equally important to a very large population of people who prefer to align with the Arab world. Today we have countless number of Nigerians running to the middle-east in search of greener pastures. Arabic is a language spoken in quite a large number of middle-eastern and Arab countries and for those who prefer those countries as their dream locations, you really can't tell them Arabic language is useless. The typical Hausa man today who chooses to live abroad would prefer places like Qatar, UAE, Kuwait etc as against UK, USA etc, Arabic is widely spoken in those countries. You need to understand that to you (and to me), Arabic may be useless, but to many others, it is quite useful; and there is no compulsion to offer it as a subject in Nigeria. It would certainly be chosen as a subject of choice to many in the north... Why should you or I feel threatened or angry about this?... What exactly is the solution to this senseless uproar across Nigeria's media space today?... I suggested that if some people who claim they are Christians are angry that some people in the majorly Muslim north now have an opportunity to learn Arabic in schools, then maybe HEBREW language should also be included down south for these thoughtless people who think everything must be competition. Meanwhile I just read the tweets by FFK and Reno Omokri; the duo have just broadcasted deliberately distorted info to cause chaos. The just claimed CRK was erased from curriculum and IRK/Arabic has been made COMPULSORY for everyone. And of course, they are enjoying the result deliberate actions to cause chaos. |
Hmm... I didnt read anywhere where it says Arabic was compulsory. These same set of charlattans just have a way to connect with their audience by distorting info and saying exactly what their admirers want to hear. |
That's a freaking puff adder... VEry poisonous beast that looks like a harmless baby python... I hate snakes... ![]() |
This FFK guy keeps losing his sanity but has no one to tell him. Instead, many keep cheering him on for political reasons and tagging him 'fearless man,' but little does he know that he isn't the only fearless one in the pack and others in his cadre certainly dont frequently use this sort of language. It's only a matter of time before the man hits the market naked. |
ivolt:There has always been IRK and CRK in the curriculum. Contrary to the deliberately divisive report that CRK has been removed and IRK retained, fact is that neither CRK nor IRK has been removed from the curriculum; they were only merged into a single title 'civic studies' (or something like that) and each student still reserves the right to choose either of the two since they will still be even taught in separate classes. So what exactly is the basis of this alarm if not to intentionally raise confusion and disharmony? Using yourself as an example, did any of your teachers force you to offer IRK?.... It's a no-brainer, your answer is definitely NO; and neither did my own teachers force me to offer IRK when I already opted to do CRK. So the big question now is, what exactly is the problem if Arabic is put in as one of the foreign languages on offer?... It would probably be available only in the north by the way cos that's where there is a demand for it. So if you weren't forced to offer IRK (which is the pure religion), why does it now make any sense to you that someone would force you to offer Arabic?.... Cant you see how silly this whole noise is just because a staunch Muslim man is president?... Cant you see this is all nonsense politics as politicians try to play with your head creating a distraction?... When are we going to start focussing our energies and intellects on meaningful things?... Once again, maybe we should include HEBREW language as one of the optional courses in the curriculum, that would make things equal or fair to some people right? |
ivolt:How exactly is Arabic being imposed?... From my understanding, it is an optional subject and will not be forced down anybody's throat. As a matter of fact, since it's only relevant in the north, you will most likely only find its teachers in the north, and this subject would be restricted to the north (as an optional course to whoever wants to study it). On the other hand, CRS and IRK still remain in the curriculum as against the irrational alarm being raised by some confusionists; they would simple be grouped together as civic education, and would still be taught in separate classes with each student still having a choice to choose whichever one he wants to offer. So for crying out loud, what is the meaning of this uproar?... Why can't we just for once in Nigeria, elect to spend our time and energy on meaningful things? |
ivolt:What exactly is really islamic about the latest development?.... Have you really tried to read or understand what the changes are, or are you just driven by emotions and the words coming out from the mouth of politically motivated people? CRK and IRK were removed from the curriculum; the bone of contention is, why is there still 'Arabic Language' as one of the foreign languages offered in the Nigerian curriculum. Does this make any sense to you?... I mean, comparing Language to Religious studies?.... I gues the solution to this should be to include 'Hebrew Language' to Nigeria's curriculum. |
So much ado over nothing once again. So many people now feel the best form of Christian evangelism is to now promote irrational religious paranoia. For as long as I can remember, we've always had Nigerian languages like Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and foreign language like French in the Nigerian secondary school curriculum. I didn't know we had Arabic language also, but I guess that should be more prevalent in the northern parts of the country. These languages are all elective and students get to choose which one they want. Similarly, we've had CRK and IRK in the curriculum as electives. Now I understand the new modification to the curriculum removes IRK and CRK as standalone subjects, and places them together under a certain civic education module. What I however do not understand is how many self acclaimed Christian advocates now choose to interpret this as Islamisation; comparing CRK/IRK to Arabic is silly in my opinion. I guess to assuage the concerns of these politically motivated, self appointed Christian advocates, the Ministry of education should consider including Hebrew Language in Nigeria's curriculum. |
Markfemi:Can you provide any evidence to buttress this your point?... Can you provide any evidence to prove that Nigeria's economy wasn't devastatingly hit by the exit of Igbos from all over the country?.... It is commonsensical that any economy would be seriously hit if there's an exit of so many people who greatly contribute (and even form the life-blood) of trade, commerce, industry, real estate etc. The economies of even the almighty nations like USA or Great Britain would be hit if Nigerians living and working in those countries are ejected forcefully. |
Of course history doesnt lie and the wise man learns from the experiences of others. If Igbos are chased away fron Nigeria, the economy of Nigeria will definitely crumble and it may take decades to fix it. However, considering the vitriolic tirades of the ipob organisation and its thoughtless adherents in the last 2 years who havent relented in throwing needless abuses at any and everyone, how can we really blame anyone in Nigeria for reciprocating by asking Igbos to leave (in order to claim abandoned property)? |
Still wondering what the Op is referring to as 'thick' from his pictures. ![]() |
We still have a long way to go. While agriculture alone wouldn't get us to where we want to be, but we must start from somewhere. |
This write up is rubbish. Agriculture is the solution, it's just been poorly executed. When you get the said cocoa, the key isn't to import it, you are supposed to pass it down through several production cycles. The skin of the plsnt as fertilizer? The seeds sold to local companies to make their own beverages, chocolate etc. Its the solution, it depends on how you exploit it.Lol... This one certainly didnt read the article. |
Ipob hungry priest.. |
Izonpikin:You really think it was those few benefiting northern communities that fought for this?.. as against the hundreds of new southern communities that now get to receive 'host community' status? |
Izonpikin:GUy, anything north too dey pain your ear sef ![]() Do you know the sheer number of new ND communities that would lose 'host community' status in the PIB if the 'pipeline bearing' clause is removed?... Na only north your ear just hear stand... You really think it was those few northern communities that engineered this?... How many pipelines dey north sef? |
Newmanluckyman:What I tried to point out is that we've stressed the issue of numbers for too long but on critical examination, the difference in numbers is insignificant and can easily be dismantled if the south can be united to play a bit of politicking. You really believe the middle-belt's umbilical to the north cannot be broken?... Then it means you aren't paying attention. The only reason the middle-belt hasn't broken that link to the north is cos they have nowhere to run to considering that the south hasn't been able to put its house in order. The moment the south successfully unites for anything in this life, that is when you will understand that the middle-belt states, especially a state like Benue is absolutely sick and tired of the domination of the core north. REgarding restructuring, if you are wondering why it still isn't possible, you need not look far, just re-read the first 2 paragraphs above. |
