My apologies for sounding harsh/rude earlier, I think my emotions overran my language. I couldn't just understand why it was too difficult for so many people to understand the clear difference between killing an aggressor vs just going out to kill people (innocent or not) just purely because of their tribe/ethnicity/religion.

Warri need foreign investment. Since Shell left Warri for Port Harcourt the economy of Warri went down with it. It is common to see graduates ( those with Bsc, HND, WAEC, NCE, Trade Test etc ) driving Keke to eke out a living.

There is virtually no company in Warri that is recruiting job seeker for a gainful employment.

In wind energy industry, there are regulations, there are standards. You could have just mentioned from your wide, vast and unfathomable depth of knowledge which Regulation you know and what their standards are. Ranting does not expose your ignorance any less.

Are Enugu and Anambra they in total blackout? If we come in with our wind turbines, does our work also include uprooting the existing plants? Didn't your "enlightened" mind tell you the wind farm is going to complement the existing plants? Why can't you just be civil for once or is it that difficult? My friend, 50MW is huge at least for a country whose total capacity has never reached 4000MW!

Finally, I am not gonna "furnish us with more details". Its not your type that we are looking for. Go get your facts from your "reports". Bless!

Lol. I'm getting bashed. Ok, I'm sorry maybe I didn't explain very well. The wind energy farm will complement the exsisting power plants. Afterall, we won't be uprooting the existing plants and generators. I thought this was going to be simple logic. Lol.

Also when you make a quote like this, or maybe my company, there are several things that it does not include.
1. The wind towers - made of steel. Those ones are sourced locally. You don't expect any one to carry wind towers from China to Nigeria. Another simple logic. Hahaha.
2. Land and labour - the government not us will provide this locally.
3. Installation machines again sourced locally.
4. Delivery - We deliver to the seaport and you take it up from there.

What we provide is the 4 electrical cabinents installed in each of the turbines. They are the main control, the frequency converter, the SCADA - remote control, the raio converter. Photovoltaic pannels are optional (customized). We also bring our Engineers to on ground and supervise the projects from start to finish. We give 3 years warantee (free repairs), 20 years guarantee and free after sales services.

According to regulations, we may use 25 Towers that generate 2MW each or 33Towers thst generate 1.5MW each. As of today, each set cost 15,000,000RMB and we delivery to one particular seaport here in China. Now, some of these can be adjusted within the industry's regulations to accomodate the client's need. All these will be discussed wiyh the clients before signing the Purchase and Supply Order.

Lemme not go futher, I believe it will be clearer to you by now. The truth remains that Nigerian capital projects are highly highly inflated. Cheers!

With that aside, we can now go back into the main discussion being the cost of wind turbines. I'm sorry once again, I don't know anything about regulations in the renewables industry in Nigeria or elsewhere, but I don't think that is relevant now. The crux of this matter was your catchy claim that a 50mw wind turbine would cost merely N2bn. I simply wanted to know the breakdown of that because it sounded too good to be true; N2billion = 50mw, N200billion = 5000mw and Nigeria is still in darkness? haba!

First of all, I assumed wind turbines to have individual capacities typically less than 10mw, I didn't know single wind turbines up to 50mw already existed; or at least that was what I understood from your original statement below:

But it's good you have now clarified that you actually meant several wind towers adding up to make 50mw. Your further clarifications above also make your point clearer, your company only supplies a fraction of the whole assembly for the price you quoted.

I agree, a lot of project costs are extremely inflated in Nigeria, but your blanket statement of N2bn for 50mw truly sounded incredulous.

So yes, I may not work for a company that produces wind turbines, but I have read reports and understand them to be expensive. Furthermore, your question asking how many turbines make up a windfarm and how much energy each produces also exposes your ignorance further. It's like asking how many gas turbines make a thermal plant and how much power each gas turbine produces; that's a pointless question.

So finally I ask again, if your claim to work for a company that produces wind turbines is true, and if you truly understand what your company produces as you claim, why don't you furnish us with more details of your products instead of running about claiming you alone knows it all?

Hello. Please I need ideas on how I can reach your state governor.

My company here in China can build wind turbine generators 75m high generate 50MW of Electricity with just N2bn (non inflated, not in dollars, in naira) through renewable wind energy. It is also costumizable to suit individual needs.

Renewable Energy is reliable, green, clean, does not require fueling and zero-emmission. And if you don't understand 50MW can power Anambra and Enugu States, 247! I'm serious.

At the moment, we have projects in India, Spain, South America etc. And I will like to take some projects home too.

I'm a Nigerian, not affliated to any government or political party. I am tired of the way things are done! No body send me o, I'm just doing my part, in building the nation.

While northern leaders keep coming together to scheme and plot and manipulate things for the betterment of the north, the question I keep asking is, 'what are southern leaders doing?'... Have southern leaders ever come together before to scheme for any major development?... In recent times there's been a lot of noise (just loud noise) about SE+SS alliance especially since 2015 elections, but apart from just voting Jonathan and scheming for their personal pockets, have the leaders in these zones ever for once come together to scheme for any thing for the zones since 1960 till date?... Not even after 2015, I've never heard of anything like a SS+SE elders or leadership forum, let alone a SW+SS+SE forum.

Then putting the leaders/elders aside, never have I heard of any initiative by citizens in the south to knock sense into southern leaders. The only thing we seem to know how to do in the south is complain, cry and lament over the 'wisdom' of the north in outsmarting everyone else; all we know how to do in the south is 'blame others' for all our woes.

If this can still happen in the richest state in Nigeria, then it's just clear that Nigeria is still centuries behind...
