Scholes007:Oh... I didn't know Dasuki has denied ever taking or sharing any money. I suppose even the earliest statements about getting approval from Jonathan before disbursing any funds were also made up by EFCC? |
PedroJP:The points he made were in very simple English, he was referring to Lagos, not Nigeria and thank God we still have very clear records to prove this. He has even been forced to come out to clarify himself again today but bullies like yourself would have none of it; you would rather make up a weird interpretation and force it on him as his opinion. |
VulgarVulvas:But there was a clarification that Buhari only said Abacha was never convicted by any court. Besides, this statement was made in a memorial event for Abacha, what did you expect Buhari to say to the faces of Abacha's wife, children and relatives? |
Scholes007:But even Dasuki did not deny that he took and shared money, so what's wrong if Buhari says Dasuki took and shared money? The case against Dasuki is not whether he took and shared money (that fact has since been established), the case against him in court is to ascertain if he did that collection & sharing within the ambits of the law or not. Just point out where PMB accused a particular person (e.g. Diezani of being a thief? |
Iykopeeee:I was only raising a point which is definitely worthy of note, we can never know where we are going if we dont know where we've been. People need to be informed of what's really going on because it is now common practice for some clannish anarchists to just pollute the minds of the multitude of gullible ones who swallow every rubbish they are told and start fighting the wrong enemy. By the way, I think I saw the Enugu airport runway in the 2016 budget of the transport ministry; hopefully it will be fixed soon. |
koboko69:A lot of people are actually pathetic, even with this clarification that he wasn't really referring to the entire Nigeria, a lot of people would still read this but their brains would still interpret the rubbish they want to hear. Political sentiments has really rendered the brains of many useless. |
post=45949469:I heard several billions were being budgeted by GEJ to fix this runway, but somehow, someway, it's either the money was never released or it grew limbs and crawled away after it was released. The last time a thread was opened on this NL forum to question what happened to the moneys budgeted for the fixing of this runway, the thread was instantly turned into a tribal battleground; one side suggested that Stella & GEJ had questions to answer, the others side vehemently refused that Stella or GEJ had any questions to answer even as they ascribed the poor state of the runway to 'targeted marginalisation.' It is really sad that meaningful discussions can no longer take place anymore because of clannishness. |
Scholes007:No doubts, myself, yourself and many others call them thieves. Similarly, I'm sure buhari calls them thieves in his heart, but all I ask is for you to leave the long melancholic epistle and point out where Buhari has explicitly mentioned the name of Madam Madueke or anybody and called them a thief?... I am waiting for you to prove me wrong. In summary, that you think someone has said something, it does not mean he has actually said it. |
ayzTIGER:The one whose economic policies were stellar, where did all his economic prowess land Nigeria before he bailed out?.... |
VulgarVulvas:Any frustration I have is purely about the daftness of my countrymen. |
Legitbaba:PMB always states that people stole money massively, point out one example of where he named someone as being guilty without trial or forever hold your peace. This is what happens when emotions block reasoning; you begin to assume things and then conclude your assumptions are real. Once again, since you think buhati is an idiot who judges before trial, give us one, just one example of where buhari explicitly named a person as guilty. |
ayzTIGER:I'm not an empty brained twerp like most of the people out there who are incapable of reason, at least I have the ability to discern the exact reason why the bag of rice or tomato for instance is more expensive today, and even though I am also affected, I know it's not a direct fault of PMB. So if you expect me to foolishly join the daft crowd to start accusing buhari of being responsible for tomato ebola, or you expect me to start blaming buhari for the low oil prices and the consequent forex scarcity, then you are on a very long thing. |
slaughter:The first link you posted concurs with what fashola just explained, he wasnt referring to the entire dilapidated nation. So whose the maga here?.... Like he said, provide the video where he said power to the 'entire Nigeria' or kindly hide your face. |
Oya daftos should come in, take your positions on the queue and start throwing insults... Nigerian media is wonderful indeed with a natural penchant for twisting words..... while the insults flow, can someone kindly post a video of where Fashola actually said 6 months for the entire nation? |
blackpanda:It has alread started happening. They've already littered the thread with their emptiness, all they care about is just to wail and oppose, they've got absolutely nothing in their skulls. Govt refused to devalue, they complained; govt has now devalued, they still complain and curse. Such daft twerps. |
Fine woman.. |
If wailers dont wail, who will?... Bloody wailers everywhere ![]() |
NavierStokes:I hope it works out for good though... |
If this is true, and if it is what I think it is, then it means the FG/CBN has finally succumbed to the tremendous pressures mounted on the Nigerian economy from external forces. Whether this would truly augur well for Nigeria as the textbooks keep saying, only time would tell. It is well! |
Everyday the press releases one statement and the CBN debunks the next day. I will have to wait until a source from CBN confirms this before any comments. |
greenmonk:There is nothing wrong with my comparison especially as it concerns the subject of discussion; if India can generate so much from solar farms, I see no reason why it cant be emulated by Nigeria. |
BushidoBlue:Common sense and collective good should have nothing to do with partisanship. Unlike most of you, I have never elevated and will never elevate partisanship or some senseless clannishness over common sense. |

fiizznation:Since 50 years of independence, Nigeria still struggles to produce a measly 5000mw from all sources. Yet we have nations who have well over that amount as just 'backup.' Bro, if we can only get half of that backup, then most of our electricity woes would be over. |
TPAND:All great manufacturing and exporting countries started from the bottom before getting to where they are today. China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan are all very good examples. Today the whole world imports items from China and world powers go to China to produce different items for them; this wasn't the case 20 years ago. FOod for thought: China which hitherto was known for only producing substandard products, but just recently, the UK and China signed an agreement for China to build a nuclear power plant in the UK; that is what happens when a country believes in itself. |
TPAND:Dear TPAND, Innoson vehicles are made in Nigeria, up to 60% of the vehicle parts are manufactured and fabricated in Nigeria, hence the vehicle can be said to be made in Nigeria. Even if it is just 20% that is made in Nigeria, the vehicle brand still remains Nigerian. And may I remind (or inform) you that there is hardly any vehicle brand the world over which is 100% domiciled in a particular country. Even outside the automobile industry, most of the manufacturing going on in the USA are done remotely in some place in Asia (mainly China). Also if you check the growth of the automobile industry in several countries who are known to be heavyweights, they all started little and the most potent ingredient which spurred their growth was local patronage; their governments created laws and legislations to force people to patronise local manufacturers, and that's how these companies grew. Once again, Innoson is Nigerian made, there's no such thing as assembled about Innoson. |
linkin8k:My bad, I think I must have mixed it up somehow; but 6762 isn't bad at all under our present circumstances. |
khSteel:If u had a functional brain yourself, you would have realised that I personally have always been consistent in my opinions on national issues which i believe are strictly for the better good of the entire Nigeria (not just some ethnic enclave like most of you do). You can easily go back and check the history of my comments on NL to confirm my position on national issues. Obviously, the tribal and ethnocentric mentality, and some pointless die-hard political sentiments which pervades the atmosphere has rendered some of you incapable of thinking progressively, and you think everyone must be in the same tribal/ethnocentric boat as you, but you are wrong. I am not like you! |
phemmyutd:IVM belongs to Nigeria, not some section of the country as some unfortunate people always paint it. So when you say 'home,' I regard 'home' to be the entire Nigeria. if one member of the family misbehaves, that is not a reason why everyone else should, because at the end, it is the entire family (Nigeria) that suffers. You guys have divided Nigeria too much, make una try rest small abeg. |
greenmonk:India produces 12,000mw of its electricity from solar alone. 12,000mw is almost 3 times Nigeria's current capacity; if we can have up to half of that, I can assure you we would have up to 20hrs of electricity per day nationwide. |
How much does it really cost to set up a solar farm of 1000mw? This is an option we should have explored a long time ago. But we keep relying on the erratic gas simply because we are looking for how to utilise our gas and stop flaring. Its time we start building windfarms in coastal cities and solar farms in the sahel regions. India produces up to 12,000mw from solar power alone. |
phemmyutd:That a governor from the SE does this is not a good reason or justification why everyone else must. Must we always be in a competition with ourselves even when it hurts us? |
