PoliticsRe: The Real Owners Of Oil Blocks In The Niger-Delta Exposed...(pics) by obailala(m): 12:08am On May 27, 2016
Na Lie oh!... Yoruba and Hausa own 90% of oil blocks in Nigeria, foreigners own the rest. At least that is what 'Director' says and Director can never be wrong. NDA should blow up all the pipelines so Yoruba and Hausa will starve. The SE and SS gains absolutely nothing from oil money.

Ignorance is a terrible disease of the mind, especially when it is self inflicted.

Mr, rather its the hate for GEJ evident in your reply and strange love and fanaticism for Buhari that has so messed up the minds of so many and led us to this economic disaster we are in today and in the fans of Buhari's eyes they just wont accept or believe it, that is what you call a totally messed up mind! If GEJ was President today and fuel sold for 145, dollar against naira the way it is now, no tomatoes, everything expensive, no electricity, people loosing jobs instead of people being employed, untold hardship.... people like you would have created, manufactured, added new words in dictionaries just to insult him but as its 'almighty', 'saint' Buhari.... see you smiling and explaining why it is so. PMB and his fans, Una Good Afternoon!
I dont have any hate for GEJ, I only have a disgust at the way some of his fanatics have sent their brains on permanent vacation. Try and focus on the content of my comment and stop drifting away. A dilapidated road is reported and someone comes out in defense to say GEJ budgeted N124bn for the road several years ago; so I wonder, should we be clapping for GEJ even though the road is still in its exact same dilapidated state several years later?... If you cannot get the point in what I just said, then you might just be one of the sentimentally messed up minds we both talk about.

And yes, the reasons behind the economic downturn are very obvious for anyone with a brain to discern. If you are as objective and smart as you think you are, then you should have attempted to counter the arguments of those of us who say buhari isn't fully responsible for the current economic downturn; but instead, your idea of an objective person is one who just jumps out and blames the president for every and any problem (even for climatic events). No doubts, the government might have made some missteps, but anyone with a brain knows the reasons behind all the negatives you just mentioned above. I wouldn't just sit down and start insulting buhari because some people (who out of misguided emotions) have refused to reason clearly expect me to.

Not wholly true. Its more of an effect from the fires that disrupted oil production in Alberta, Canada. Remember that canada produces more oil than Nigeria.
I think the fires pushed it up beyond $40 and up to $46-$47. Nigeria's production cut of 800,000barrels did the rest.

The other day I heard one 'smart' one saying all the oil in the Niger-delta are actually from the SE but are channelled through very deep underground pipelines to the Niger delta; that it was a plan by the british, hausa and yorubas to deprive the SE of its entitlement. Probably this may have been what kanu might have said in some of his radio broadcasts, but you can't just help but wonder how someone can be inherently so daft to believe such.

At $50 a barrel, that's approximately $20 Billion a yr. WHAT THE EFF ARE WE DOING WITH ALL THESE MONIES FROM MURITALA GOVERNMENT TO BUHARI , AND YET NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT?
Nigeria is producing half of the quantity it should be producing, infact Nigeria's reduced production is the reason the price has hit $50.

Nigerian-American Doctor, Godwin Maduka builds 100 houses for Widows in Anambra State

We tend to spend a lot of time complaining about Nigeria. While our complaints are certainly justified, it is important to note that we all have the power to be changemakers.

A Nigerian-American doctor is in the news today as he recently built and donated 100 bungalows for widows and other indigent persons in Umuchukwu, Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra State.

Dr. Godwin Maduka is the founder of the Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Center. Dr. Maduka completed his Graduate Medical training at the Harvard University School of Medicine in Anesthesia and Critical Care and Pain Management.

Beyond his career, he has made it his mission to transform his community in Umuchukwu. Over the last 3 years, he has completed various philanthropic projects including

Donating nearly 100 motorcycles to the unemployed and underprivileged members of his community.
Building and renovation of a police station, barracks, and an updated post office
Construction of schools, homes for widows, hospitals, and religious buildings
Provision of scholarships to community residents to study at universities both in Nigeria and internationally

This is man is turning his town to city not those making silly noise to be the richest while their people are dying in penury
This is what I call a real philanthropist, not the ones who build on modern toilet latrine, splash it all over the news and then return in 2 years to contest for government positions. A fact about life is that, there is enough food in the world for nobody to go hungry, but greed is the only reason why we still have hungry people in society because a few greedy ones corner the food meant for many. Imagine if all other billionaires act like this man, we wouldn't be crying out to the govt any more because we actually have too many billionaires in Nigeria.

My main problem with this whole bombing issue is how Igbos have now mainly taken over the position of the Niger-deltans, shouting 'our oil' more than the Niger deltans and rejoicing over NDA bombings more than the Niger deltans. Apparently these are mainly the brainless nnamdi kanu zombies who wish and pray for turmoil and agony across Nigeria because they hate buhari, but God cannot be mocked, Nigeria is definitely blessed, and these idiots celebrating this economic downturn and sabotage will surely be put to shame. angry

Thanks for the info..

From my research I have been able to gather lots of information leading to the root cause of this dastardly tomato disease..

Everything the news said were all very correct abt the disease, it's history and the devastation it already caused..

Now lemme me lead you to the real causes, why the problem became intense..

First, the disease is caused by a moth /pest. .so it's controlled using a pesticide..and these pesticides are imported and not made in Nigeria..

So like every other things which are imported was effected by Forex, the pesticides was also a victim.. Leading to some farmers inability to meet up with budgets and trying to diverse other shortcuts..

Secondly, the Ministry of Agriculture also contributed too.. .
How? Remember there was programs by FG through Ministry of Agric had in place to promote Agric activities, where fertilizers, seeds, pesticides are regularly delivered to farmers at govt subsidized rates..

My brother due to changes in policy by the govt, that program was suspended which was another burden to many farmers..

However, when some farmers noticed how difficult it might be to maintain a tomato farm without the usual incentive, Some farmers even changed the crops they planted to other confirmed profitable crops.

There are conflicting info coming from the farmers themselves as to the main reason the country has to face this problem..

But generally FG lead by M Buhari has to step up their game to alleviate some of these, as most are direct impacts of govt policies... .
Thanks for the info... so in essence, 'blame it on buhari!!!'

I heard several billions were being budgeted by GEJ to fix this runway, but somehow, someway, it's either the money was never released or it grew limbs and crawled away after it was released.

The last time a thread was opened on this NL forum to question what happened to the moneys budgeted for the fixing of this runway, the thread was instantly turned into a tribal battleground; one side suggested that Stella & GEJ had questions to answer, the others side vehemently refused that Stella or GEJ had any questions to answer even as they ascribed the poor state of the runway to 'targeted marginalisation.'

It is really sad that meaningful discussions can no longer take place anymore because of clannishness.

VulgarVulvas:
So Abacha was not corrupt despite the several billions repatriated back to Nigeria?

This is how you use Tinubu's lack of conviction to call him a saint.

Continue with your hypocrisy.

Buhari as far as I am concerned is the worst kind of corruption as he is highly biased on his judgements and as such has no integrity.
All I am simply saying is that Buhari was technically not wrong when he said Abacha wasnt convicted. If you still think Buhari was wrong, kindly point out the court that prosecuted or convicted Abacha. This has nothing to do with hypocrisy, it has everything to do with common sense and use of simple English.

I know in my heart that Tinubu, Jonathan, Amaechi, etc. are all corrupt (even though they haven't been convicted), I can say it here on a faceless NL forum that they are all corrupt, but I would be a fool to say it on national TV or in public especially if I am a public figure. So the point is simple, no matter how you try to paint it, Buhari is not a fool to go in public (especially in front of Abacha's family on a memorial ceremony) and say Abacha is a thief especially when Abacha was never convicted. Make una dey try use brain small, it's not by force to force corruption on Buhari. You can criticise him on his poor diplomacy, his bigotry, his poor economic direction etc., but it is pointless to try and accuse him of corruption.
