Hmmm... Lucky Eluonye Onyenuchea Irabor, an Anioma man has just been appointed as a service chief but there're still cries in the open about PMB not appointing Igbos in the military?... Going by the current sentiments, a Delta Igbo man apparently isn't a 'proper' Igbo man... When it's convenient, we claim all of Anioma land, Igbanke in Edo, some parts Benue and half of Rivers state as Igboland; but when it comes to politics, we thoughtlessly discriminate and ostracise these people even publicly all because they aren't from the south east zone... and we wonder why non-southeastern Igbos have sworn to never accept their Igboness? |
The Fulanis are biting far more than they can chew... |
Wonderful! Did the man actually sack the old chiefs or did they resign on their own? |
desmond2pk:Did herdsmen start carrying guns when Buhari became president? |
My problem in all these are the impotent humans we have as governors all over the south. This nonsense has been going on for over a decade and has heightened recently. Instead of governors down south to enact laws to flush out these easily identifiable hoodlums, they're waiting for and sucking the balls of Abuja. |
The only thing I find bizarre about this development is why Akeredolu is the only one pushing for this. The other time, Akeredolu was the only one championing Amotekun despite all opposition. The question is, what are other southern governors doing? There are regular herdsmen attacks in Edo, Delta, Oyo, Enugu etc. Why are these other governors sleeping and waiting for Akeredolu to carry everything on his head? |
Lol... the effrontry of the Fulanis is legendary. Right from the most educated to the least educated ones, they don't even bother to apply any iota of common sense in their bias. Nigeria as we know it is about to unfold; thanks to thr foolishness of the cattle herders. |
CastedAyo:Kaiii! This man get bad mouth! Low budget Trump! |
LoyalHustler1: ![]() Haaa!! You mean no jobless miscreants coming to disturb for deve really?... Please what part of the south south do you intend building? |
Lol... Without being told, this one looks like a hungry one. |
The way we broadcast gory images so easily in this country is bizarre. |
Miracle2020:Nothing ever happened to my brain; I was actually questioning the stability of yours in my last post. I'm not surprised you couldn't figure that out. |
Miracle2020:So ENDSARS has now turned to an ApC vs PDP thing? It was PDP people that organised EndSARS?... Anyway, there's no surprise here; after all, some unfortunate fellows also claimed it was APC that organised 2012 protests rejecting fuel price increase. |
I think the only effective way to reverse the barbaric rule where hospitals don't treat gunshot victims until a police report is gotten is to criminalise the act of not treating gunshot victims... By the time one or two hospitals are heavily sanctioned or even sealed for not treating victims, then the message would effectively be spread. |
How the educated ones and elites in the north sit back quietly and watch these barbaric acts being perpetrated in the north beats me. For the elites, they believe things like this can never touch them cos Sharia is only for the poor; but it's only a matter of time before this madness explodes in everyone's face. That's exactly how bokoharam started, people who should have spoken up and whose voices could have been heard all kept quiet cos they believed it only affected the 'other religion'.... |
Hisincrease:Is it their duty to give you a better society? How have you used your 7 'likes' on Nairaland to positively affect society? |
Okoroawusa:I know a Bayelsa guy called 'Increase' ![]() |
Lol.. I remember a soldier I met once whose name was Selbol Vongkong. I knew instantly he was from the Plateau. |
![]() This MURIC prof seems to be suffering from chronic dementia ... |
majamajic:I got some experience in picture effects, and based on my knowledge and experience, I know better than to believe and/or draw conclusions from just 2 picture samples presented to me. You may be seeing 'Kante to Freeze', but that's not what I see; we both just have different points of view.... It's okay if you dont understand what I'm saying; you're not meant to know everything, I dont know it all either. Good morning. |
If your father is bi-racial or half-caste (forgive my politically inappropriate slur), then you are quarter caste (forgive my slur once again). ![]() |
Westtimeline:Inferior? I'm inferior because I gave you basic level info? Anyway I didn't expect everyone to understand what I said cos not all fingers (or brains) are equal. Spending much time under the scorching sun has the capacity to darken your skin; even white people who relocate to hotter/sunnier climates end up getting darker (tanned).... Likewise, people who relocate from Africa to colder climates quite often get their skin tone lightened a bit, and this is cos they get less exposure to the high intensity sunlight back home... When I said money / less exposure to the sun can get a person's skin lighter, i didnt mean turning a Kante to a Daddy Freeze complexion (I honestly didnt think I needed break this down to this elementary level cos I assumed I was talking to an adult with basic comprehension skills at least) . The logic behind people saying that 'money' or 'wealth' lightens your skin is that it is typical for richer people to spend less time under the scorching sun unlike struggling people on the street. Everything isnt literal my friend; when we say money has the capacity to make a person fairer, it isn't magic, there's a very simple science behind it, and it has nothing to do with rubbing bleaching creams. You mentioned Kante, but you should know there will always be exceptions to every law. Whilst Kante may be an exception because he's got a unique skin tone, are you aware that his skin may actually even get darker if he lived on the street in Sudan or Sokoto? |
majamajic:Okay i'm glad you now agree money has the capacity to lighten a person's skin a bit. Nobody here ever said money can turn a Kante to a Daddy Freeze. |
Etinosa1234:First of all, when I say a cooler, less sunny climate can get a dark person's skin lighter, I did not say a black skin would automatically become caucasian white/yellow skin; my English cant be that difficult to comprehend.... Secondly, in every law, there can always exceptions; so yeah, kante, Pogba, Zouma may be exceptions because they have peculiar skin tones. But then again, how are you so sure kante, Pogba and/or Zouma wouldn't have even darker skins if they were poor and living somewhere hot and sunny in Sudan? |
majamajic:Lol... so you never see black wen pass black? |
majamajic:Well, if you claim you know him personally and see him often, then that's fine, I believe you. But if it were just these pictures on this thread alone, I would have said they weren't enough to judge anything. |
Westtimeline:Show us a picture of Dangote, P.Diddy, Mayweather and Dangote when they were poorer and suffering under the sun. If you can't produce these pictures for a reasonable comparison, then your examples holds no logic. |
majamajic:2 pictures of a person are taken at different times, in different lighting conditions and with different cameras (with different qualities); So your brilliant definition of an adult is someone who sees just these 2 pictures and instantly concludes that bleaching has occurred? It's a pity you don't understand the point I tried to make. I'll repeat it for you and maybe one day when you hopefully grow up in wisdom, you will comprehend it - the 2 pictures posted on this thread are insufficient for me to conclude whether the person in the said picture has changed complexion; I need to see more pictures to make that conclusion. Thanks.. |
majamajic:The dark millionaires in my village would most probably look darker if they were poor and suffering daily under the scorching sun; that is my point. majamajic:Well, I dont know small doctor personally so I cant make any confident claims on his case; I also cant conclude anything from the pictures on this thread until I see some more recent pictures (and even older younger) pictures of him for comparison... But what I said earlier is still a proven fact, the weather and the sun intensity a person is exposed to on a regular basis can affect skin complexion and even skin texture.... a white man relocates to a hotter, sunnier climate, he tends to become tanned / darker. Likewise a black person relocates to a cooler climate with lower sun intensity, he tends to get lighter. The reason why money/riches is loosely considered a 'skin lightening' agent is because it is assumed that a rich person in Nigeria spends less time under the scorching sun. |
udemzyudex:Small doctor's own looks extreme though (this one pass money or weather matter), but like I said in one of my previous posts, the 2 pictures posted on this thread aren't really sufficient to conclude that his skin colour has even changed. The older picture was obviously taken with a poor camera and in poor lighting condition, the newer picture looks edited and with high light intensity. We need to see more of his recent pictures to conclude if his skin has truly changed colour. |
Unified07:Knowledge isn't for everyone. |
KanuSE:How exactly can you tell if his skin colour has changed or not? Do you have an old picture of him when he was a poor man suffering under the scorching heat of the sun? If you cant provide an old picture for comparison, then this Dangote example isn't valid. By the way, not everyone's skin would change; there will always be exceptions to every rule. |
