Army HQ Intelligence unit could not locate or apprehend boko haram sponsors and leaders for 10 years

Army HQ could not locate or apprehend unmasked soldiers who opened live fire on unarmed civilians

But the Army HQ is proud to tell us within 24 hours, they apprehended a masked soldier who simply advised his colleagues not to kill innocent Nigerians? They even tag him a 'cyber criminal'?

This kind of fuckery is definitely a recipe for civil war!

The so called steel plant is private owned and you complain the owners sited it in the north? How is it anyone's business where the owner chooses to site his business?

This inter-ethnic hatred in Nigeria has really killed rational reasoning.

Sowore is a politician and it's very dangerous for a politician to lead a protest of this magnitude. If Sowore is allowed to hijack the protest, the FG will then tag the protest political and the FG will now have a valid reason to forcefully clamp down on the protesters.

Some people believe that Sowore is angry because he lost the presidential election to BUHARI.
Well, those people are wrong. Sowore has been angry with IBB, Abacha, OBJ, Yaradua and GEJ, people who he didnt lose any election to... He has also been angry with Buhari from day 1, even before he chose to contest in 2019.... SO its a crying shame if anyone actually thinks 2019 election is the reason behind Sowore's activism which has been in full gear since the 80's.

I get the point though about Sowore's presence being risky since fellows in government will see it as a political protest. But that is inevitable; for protests like this to have any impact, the participation of all and sundry is necessary.

I won't be surprised if her opposing buhari is all part of their political game. You can't trust in this country, every person has a price.

When dealing with politics and people you have to be a step or more ahead of your people.

If you understand their moves you will win but if you don't, you will help them win
You're probably right, I dont understand the point he's making. If the point is that her intention may be political, then the point should be echoed loudly. But what i understand from his statement is that he isn't comfortable with the fact that a hijab adorning woman is being elevated as the face of a multi-religious, multi-ethnic, multi-tribal, apolitical protest. That it would have been more acceptable to all if the 'face of the protest' was a bit more secular, in line with Nigeria's secular state.

You're domiciled in Britain and I understand you know what human rights mean.

Would this woman protest against the conviction of a homosexual person or the incessant blasphemy executions going on in Northern States where her religion is dominant?

She is a political activist and not a human rights activist. Liberty means total freedom and can only be pushed through secularity, a trait she clearly lacks.

I have no problem with her protesting, my concern is making her the face of the protest.
So because she's a Muslim, she has no right to join a protest, except if she takes off her hijab to make you happy? Did she at any time complain to you that anybody forced her to wear a hijab? That woman I hear is even from Delta state and I believe an outspoken radical like herself does not need your help to take off her hijab if that's what she wants.

The #EndSARS or #EndPoliceBrutality protest is about human rights and freedom. You claim to support the cause being championed by the protest on one hand, but you on the other hand, do not think the woman, a fellow protester deserves her right to her religious freedom?

I never in any way gave the woman any hype, I only called out some bigoted fellows who openly showed prejudice against the woman because of her religion. But then again, even if the woman gets any hype from anyone, how is that your business? Why does it hurt you that a woman on hijab is being hyped? If that's your definition of being politically incorrect, then I'm sorry, you're wrong, that just hate and bigotry.

I'm getting tired of the hype surrounding this hijab wearing woman.

I don't give a damn about the Political activism of any person who is a slave to religion. Politics and religion are intertwined in this country.

It's hypocritical to go about fighting to end SARS fully clothed in the regalia that Hisbah police in some Northern States recommend for women .

Fight to make those women and minorities suppressed by your religion in Northern States to be free first all and you won't have people vote for candidates whose only qualification is being a devout faithful.

The concerns about Arabic writings in the emblem of the Nigerian Army is the same fountain which my worries flow from.

A woman who wears a dress stereotyped as suicide bombs hiding linen by enslaved Middle Eastern Women in bondage of extremism can never be the STATUTE OF LIBERTY of a secular nation that has suffered from terrorism.

I don't fucking do sentiments neither do I subscribe to herd mentality. My signature states clearly the bane of always trying to be politically correct.

Exactly. Banky-w gave the new five demands ,he also contested in Lagos State and lost woefully. Even YUl Edochie also ran for Governor. Why are they angry with Sowore who has criticized successive regimes?

It goes beyond being a politician. It shows the youth still believe in "the leader that favours my selfish desire should not be criticized".
Something I've noted from the recent trends is that the people angry with and criticising Sowore are just bloody Jonathanians who haven't recovered, and who (as obviously seen here) can never recover from their election loss of 2015. These same set of people are also angry with folks like Oby Ezekwesili, Charly Boy etc who never relented in criticising GEJ and even the current govt. Their anger is, "why should GEJ have been criticised". These group of persons have taken the #EndSARS protest as an avenue to come wail openly over their 2015 loss. Unfortunately this is why a real revolution can never happen in Nigeria; too many Nigerians wallow in meaningless political, tribal, ethnic and religious sentiments.

This is a simple thing. It's basic psychology
What sort of religious intolerance is this? undecided Are you not aware that Muslim women mandatorily have to cover themselves all the time in public? But you're asking if removing hijab is a sin.

Someone isnt blocking your way, someone isnt trampling on you, but you just feel uncomfortable with the person's presence because they wear a hijab? My brother this is the purest form of religious intolerance.

About her religion, I have no problem with anyone's religion but the rest of Nigeria wouldn't see it so especially in a country like Nigeria.

For wisdom sake, she should put her religious representation aside and stand solely as a Nigerian.

There is nothing dishonourable about calling out and protesting against bad leadership. This same Sowore criticised IBB, Abacha, OBJ, Yaradua, Yaradua cabal, GEJ and didnt relent for a day to criticise PMB. But somehow, a lot of folks including yourself think he did wrong by criticising GEJ because that eventually led to PMB's emergence? Sorry, you cant fault the man's consistency.

If for instance PMB leaves power today and a worse candidate takes over, does that mean that those criticising PMB today are wrong for doing so? We have to be careful not to make this #EndSARS protest something about pro-GEJ or anti-PMB.

Regarding Aisha, I dont understand you, do you have a problem with her chosen religion or with her hijab? And what has her religion or hijab got to do with her stand?

Supporting a change in govt isn't the same thing as supporting a govt. Sowore has never supported any incumbent government in Nigeria and no reasonable person can fault him for that cos since as far as I remember, Nigeria has never had a faultless govt. Yes he supported the removal of the previous useless govt which gave room for the arrival of the current guys. But never for one day did he lick the ass of the current govt from the day they resumed.

So what exactly is the flip-flop in a person who has consistently called out bad governance? Maybe he should have worshipped the last govt regardless of their flaws and that would probably have made you appreciate him?

A lot of people justifying the chasing of Sowore cited a reason that he helped bring PMB to power. But what these folks do not know is that chasing Sowore for this reason only makes the protest look political, i.e. pro-GEJ/PDP and anti-PMB/APC.

Since I have been a member of this honourable forum for years, I have the highest numbers of quote with this post of mine. I think we all know what this depicts!

Once again, DO NOT END SARS, REFORM IT. Only criminals want it scraped completely. #ReformSARS #ScrapSenate

Reform it by passing law which won't let them violate Human right,

Harsh punishment for human right abusers,

No shooting not even a suspect,

recruiting civil and professionals, not criminals as we have among them and sorts.
Nigerians did not protest fuel subsidy removal because majority of those who could have led the protest understood the necessity of its removal. Likewise for electricity tariff subsidies.

As for NASS and their devilish budget, they will have their day very soon. Something has to ignite the rage.

Finally for SARS, the name 'SARS' and its very essence has totally been compromised. When the people meant to be protected are now more scared of their supposed protectors than criminals, then that calls for serious reevaluation; the 'reset button' has to be punched.

No doubt the SARS guys are a nightmare to yahooboys and other fraudsters, but when the so called Anti-Robbery Squad now constitute themselves as broad daylight armed robbers, robbing and maiming both fraudsters and numerous law abiding citizens, it would be myopic and outright ignorant to think those calling for its total ban are sympathetic to fraudsters. You cannot reform pigs, beasts and degenerates, same way you can't reform boko haram terrorists. Only sad thing about SARS is that even if banned, the beastly personnel would be reabsorbed into the normal police force where they'd continue their robbery and terrorism.

Hopefully you dont fall victim of the SPECIAL ANTI-ROBBERY SQUAD very soon.

Rugaria:
It is a campaign gimmick! All for the photos..No dredgings, so how can the Onitsha port function? Basically the roads to and from the Lagos ports are now totally clogged thereby increasing the cost of transporting containers across Nigeria. You have to cough out over a million naira to transport a container to Abuja or Kaduna from Lagos! Using barges to bring in some of the containers to onitsha for onward transportation to the north can't happen without onitsha businesses accessing such facilities..

The next problem will be with the Onitsha bridges which are very low. Since the talk of the second Niger bridge started, experts have suggested that the bridge should be constructed in a way that ships can pass underneath in the future. There were also suggestions for rail tracks across the bridge to be considered. None of those have taken place. So we now have a new bridge being constructed without such plans all to spite the east. But in the long run, it also means that bigger ships can't access any ports being considered for construction up north like in Lokoja etc. Talk about cutting your nose to spite your tribal face..
So in essence, you're saying the reason the onitsha bridge is low is to spite or punish Igbos?
