jbrodaly: First thing that came to my mind on seeing the headline. Can't imagine how people in Government reason.but that's the problem they dont reason , they just dont |
segunsd: It is crazy. Genevieve is a very good actress and there are more. Ufuoma Ejenobor is very good so is Omotola. Genevieve acted in Dr. Bello and she didn't do badlysorry but the powers that be are not looking for didn't do badly Nigerian actors and actresses, they are not looking for average . i think that most of our so called very good actors and actresses need to go back to theatre , stage productions where your raw talent is what will be on display , live shows, most of this Hollywood stars take part in broad way shows not because they are not well paid in the films , they feel the need to still take part in smaller productions on stage , this way they are continuously honing their skills, they are showing their versatility and ability to act in any environment. i think our actors and actress should challenge themselves by featuring in stage shows in other parts of Africa and indeed abroad, no matter how small the role is , they desperately need exposure it might be time to bring back talent shows for acting and not just for singing, the theatre departments at universities will have a raft of raw talents , they need to be explored Money is still a very big factor with our actors and actresses so dont talk to them about the quality of their acting, this comes across in the 100s of movies they feature in |
Another N5 billion stolen |
Your husband is definitely not a man, or is he dead?
God bless you for this statement , i was going to ask if he hasn't been around and if he isn't in the know of the inconvenience his wife is going through , he should be the one handling this situation and not the poster . Poster i think a case has to be made for the SIL to be told to stop coming to the house for some time , your security and peace of mind is under threat and it is the duty of your husband and lord of the manor to protect you, his better half, the mother of his children against any nuisance which i feel this SIL is. The issue is not the aunty calling thingy but that you have been shown no respect whatsoever from his family and its going to get worse , after i call my SIL by her first name but i respect her |
and my name is Roger Ramjet |
being a housewife is a personal choice which works sometimes and it can back fire like , the woman will tend to be very clingy especially to her kids even when they are grown and have left home , what does she then do with herself really when there is no one to take care of ? i believe that it is important to have something that keeps you busy even if you have to work ,but not full time, just something that keeps your brain alive and gives you a sense of purpose and some independence . Lets not forget that the man or sole provider can loose his source of income or the worst case scenario he could die then what? The baton will now be passed on to the wife to cater for the family , with no work experience, no skills having being out of the work place environment for so long ,age might not be on your side so getting employment might be hard what then ![]() |

i think its best to find out the child's strengths and weaknesses , if the weaknesses can be addressed good , if not just focus on the strengths and go from there, all the time exposing the child to the possibilities out there. of course i will be on hand to guide him , thank goodness i'm surrounded by professionals and people who are pretty damn good in their respective fields, they will also be there to guide him/her. |
because its more convenient to blame the spiritual |
widows mite people. 1000 naira in 6000 places and she is off for surgery. Must we wait for AGN or FG to help someone in need? Even if it is 50 naira. It is a step forward. For once let's stand up and do something
what on earth do you mean by for once ? |
The national Christmas tree was initiated by the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) with the aim of showcasing Nigerian culture to the world. what a load of bollocks!!!!! |
gbosaa: Once they,ve established your identity, all that is left is for nigeria high commission to sign and acknowledge that you are a nigerian..which they are always very willing to do...ever heard of the slogan..those who give nigeria bad name abroad...there you go,you,ll find yourself at lagos or abuja airport with those sneering and embarrassing looks and questions from nigeria immigration.especially now that that 14 yr illegal stay that can lead to ILR is about to be scrapped, e go hard well |
INNO18: it cost #1200, then i paid #100 for the skinningah thats not bad oh not bad at all |
ogbeche77: Why must she be the dep governor? Why? Is the Yakowa family the only one in Kaduna? Why must it be a family affair?# exactly!!! we sympathise with her but how daft really, surely there are other ways of compensating one |
we have always had a pet, dogs and canary birds,Roger is our pet Alsatian and i'm green with envy when i see the love he shows my dad when my dad comes back from an outing.I will definitely have a dog when i have the space.Dogs are amazing. our dog is so not for security more like companionship , if any thief tries to rob my house , Roger will most probably lick the thief to death then he will proceed to escort them to where my dad keeps his emergency money, he is that useless but we wouldn't trade him for jack , he is part of the family i'm very skeptical of people who hate dogs |
please OP I beg to differ, I live in the UK and what I have been able to achieve so far, in a million years i would never have achieved them in Nigeria. i don't want to be a millionaire , I am CONTENT with what I have and the pace at which I'm going and this is the problem with so many human beings today, this leads them into all sorts. You cannot put a price on peace of mind ,you just cant , which is what I have found in the UK, my life is so organised, I can plan within reason , I'm not in any competition with anybody , neither am I under any rubbish stress, I travel when I want peacefully and return peacefully ,let me not even go into the FREE health care provision that I have enjoyed and I'm still enjoying here, I've always wanted a simple life and I've found it in the UK . I'm actually surrounded by successful Nigerians who have struggled to get to where they are , they are all doing very well.No they don't own private jets and 10 bedroom mansions in Nigeria but they are HAPPY, they know that their children will be raised in a society that will not frustrate them. so OP please stop discouraging people GOD BLESS MY FATHER FOR HIS FORESIGHTEDNESS AND LONG LIVE THE QUEEN I SAY!! |
