That's why I mentioned it's for a Duplex. I assume any installer should have an idea of basic loads to carry. What is difference is most don't include ACs that's I why specified the exception.

Why do most so called "big inverters" get fried by thunder while most so called satchet (mostly overlooked) survive lightning. Abi na just by chance?
Satchet inverter has more analog orientation (it's wave is generated by pwm) where pure sine wave makes use of microcontrollers which tend to "forget it's self " if static current passes through it, when it remembers, it might ignore it's dead time which affect the inverter drivers and other sensitive parts.
This is the major reason it's always affected.

I will be graduating in a couple of months..
I studied electrical engineering at a federal university.

While in school, I was fortunate to have saved up about 2.7 million naira having engaged in some online side hustle with a small skill I learnt..but I can't depend on this skill for survival as the incomes are not steady at all.

My mom is about to retire .my dad who lives separately is no longer interested in my care and doesn't want me around as soon as I am done studying.

This means I am literally on my own.
What advice can you give to a me in order to start life and sustain my self.

I once thought of buying a used corolla to begin Uber/bolt.. I also don't have any planned business in mind

Mods pls fp🙏
I get business for you.
But your location would matter...
Look into renewable energy, waste and farming

Red oil, batteries, solar panels, repairs...
The bros that said repair actually spoke my mind ..

I was on the verge of focusing full time on repairs this year, but money naim yab me.
You already have the money so use it well.

I can remember the 40k I spent wayback 2017 in 2nd year in school(na small small I even pay self). Na that investment dey feed me cool cool cool.

I av come again with my curiosity. How do u determine the wire guage from solar panel to charge controller. Gone through different sites and seeing different recommendation. Someone recommended 10mm for use wit 800watts panel that 4mm wud be too small yet google gave a max volt/amps of 1000/36 for a 4mm double core wire. Distance is about 5 to 6m. Thank you for ur kind responses
1.For every electrical system, your aim should be to have a voltage drop of Less than (<3%).

This is the reason why on this forum, some people have complained of their submersible pumps consuming more power than expected.

2. Your ampacity/current from your solar panels (every wire has an ampacity chart you can check it out). If you have a low voltage and a higher current, the more thicker cables you require and vice versa.

I think this is basically all I can contribute on this

Forex trading would have been an easier way, but since it's a business of uncertainty, you might end up losing money instead of making it.

If you have a skill/business, you should look for ways to get more deals.

No.

For sender to operate ussd and APK self tells you his not an illiterate....

Illiterate will not make this mistake first because dey will use written down note and go to a money agent/bank..

So this is not a case of illiterate or no illiterate.

First point ... correct ... as long as the person does not receive the money ... you still owe.

Second point same as the first.

Point three ... yes... transaction is a two way thing ... why didn't you do what you expected to do?.... authenticate or verify the number and name?... the root of the problem lies with you. It's like you give someone N2 million to deposit in an account .... the person doesn't count the money and later there is a problem... it is N100K short because you made a mistake. Would you blame him partially because he didn't count the money?... and dish him a few fist cuffs if he doesn't admit?

My guy ... don't expect anyone to make up for your mistake. Take this as a lesson and I hope you an learn from it. I have no clue if you can reverse the deposit since it is legal... guess it may depend on the recipient. At times we pay to learn.

Government

Before you castigate me, please hear me out.

Mistakes are normal for humans to make but if the government strengthens our financial institutions there won't be someone taking someone else money and spending it comfortably.

In Europe for instance all you need to do is contact your bank and they do the rest the wrong receiver would not even spend it because he or she is scared of the fact that you can not run away your details are linked everywhere from your health to your bank to your address to your shopping and so on.

If the government is serious everybody will know.

They are more greedy than us but the system is well-covered against all this.

Mind you they create a loophole for Yahoo Boy to steal so they can also steal in manifold and Blame it on international syndicate.

Also, in Europe, you must input the receiver's full name and the account number it's all to prevent stuff like this as it will match it or tell you the problem if it's not correct. Just to prevent it and if it still happens all you need to do is contact them.
Nibbs needs to copy this idea of inputting acct name e makes sense, the only thing is if you want to do transaction with torch light phone, it Will take a long time

How can there even be a discussion as to whose fault is it? Who made the mistake ... you or he? I'm curious to know why he should have any blame. What did he do wrong or should've done differently? Ab3g.... let us hear your argument.
First argument is if you owe someone money, it's your responsibility to make sure the money gets to the person.... This is an established fact everyone on this forum will agree to.

Second argument was, if a mistake was made while sending, would you agree you owe.

A simple example is when you want to withdraw via pos why do you authenticate the recipient account name?.
( He admitted to this after many fist cuff)

Performing transaction is a 2way thing, even for bank counter where dem even dey see your face, they still verify acct name ...

Am interested in a counter let's see your point

Without much epistle, So I sent a wrong account no.,a correct Bank name and account name to a friend who I was expecting some funds from.

No he copied the acct no. And sent the money (to another person, the wrong acct. No. I provided)....

Now we had a discussion which lead to analysing the situation and I told him we both have blames on this transaction, but he doesn't want to acknowledge his fault.

Now the main question is
If you sent money to a wrong bank acct, who is to blame

Give me a figure, if you laptop wattage is this it will last for this number of hours. With that I can make an estimate.
On a 45w laptop, you have about 5hrs backup.
On 65w laptop you have about 3hrs backup.

The good thing about it is you can use it for other light appliances.

I concur with you. For those who think Landlords who refuse solar panels on there roof are unreasonable should go to the market & find out how much it cost to roof the same house & imaging about 15% to 20% of the cost to fix the damaged sections of roof, then they will see & understand what the landlord see & understand.

Another option is to put down caution fee of about 500k or more Incase of any damage on the roof.
as we are blaming installers, lets remember some landlords no dey use better roof take roof their house,
if you are a seasoned installer you would understand where am driving at ( some dey manage wood self, i am always very careful about installing bigger wattage solar panel (above 450) because maneuverability require apt experience )

some aluminum roofing sheets are just too light, like i fit tear am as if i wan open biscuit nylon.

this caution fee don reach to rent new house grin grin grin
would landlord agree to refund if you keep to your own end of the bargain undecided

How do you know.

Speaking of professional, the meaning of that word "professional" has really been diluted.
Currently in talk with a landlord who's been replacing batteriies and upgrading one thing or the other. Met him recenty, have known him for over 2-yyears but since he's a distant neigbour (12-streets away), our interaction is just greeting, though I sometimes buy things from their shop.

Something happened recently that brought us a bit closer, but before then, while buying something from their shop, already asked the wife why they run their freezer on solar (since I could see 2 small panels on the roof), and would kill the battteries faster BUT she said No, that there are more panels at other side of the roof. I argued a bit but left it at that.

Later (probably 1-month later) I got to learn of issues from the husband because He's been battling solar wahala.
Asking him, He gladly told me the individual capacities of all the panels on his roof as 2pcs 150watts, and 2pcs 250watts and I was like wow. Did you install yourself and He said No, An installer bought and installed them, though they both went to the market to buy them.

I was like, what sort of installer is that that would do such rubbish job.

He said He heard from his wife that I know about solar, and that what I said about their solar seems true.

Further asking, i got to discover He has had to upgrade his inverter from 12-volts to 24-volts, upgrade his charge controller from PWM to MPPT. I was like wowww.

Further asking him while we were walking back since we met on the way, revealed that initially, he bought 1pcs brand new 200AH dryCell battery but when it became weak, he was adviced to buy another and add to it, so they bought a used 200Ah battery, and paired it in series to the already weak battery and again, I shouted in surprise, asking him Are you sure You are not the one who installed all these things to which hee asked would he lie to me.

So he begged I come next day to take a look and fix things. He somehow had faith in me despite not seeing anything i have done before. Just that, most things I said earlier without knowing anything about their setup was more than true + since I am like a ghost in my vicinity, people barely knows Me. if you don't see me passBy, you hardly would see me again till maybe I passBy aggain and e no dey pass greetings and I don waka.

Well next morning, I came and was just speechless. The charge controller of 140,000 naira was a used one with MPPT bolded written on it. it's very obvious it's been opened for repairs. it's equally obious it ain't MPPT.
Now the 2 batteries were 1 fake brand (alaba battery) and was bought brand new, the other was Ritar and was bought used.

i told him, even a secondary School student who ready physics knows you don't mix old and new battery, let alone this kind of nonesense.

At end of the day, made him realise the entire setuup was rubbish and the batteries would keep dying because the solar panels are too small to fully charge the batteriies.

When I told him the battery has never filled, he disagreed but when He asked the wife, She said battery bar indicator keeps moving till 7pm when there's no more sun and it stops. And I told him that confirms the batteires are never fully charged.

Later he called the person and put phone on speak annd asked how much he solld the second MPPT charge controller and the man said 145,000 naira. he said he was making recommendations to a friend and wanted him to hear the price himself.

Right now, the man is just speechless. They no longer uuse freezer on it. Just 1 Tv with 1 standing fan and some energy saving bulbs, yet as soon as the sun is out, the inverter doesnt take up to 2-hours to start making noise. the next it goes off.

Now the man is making plans to start all over again. Just this time around, he wouldn't go through them
