majiouk2002:Cool. That's fine then. |
@ Majiouk2002; Form 1221, Question 39......what was your answer? Just to draw your attention to consistency. |
fonseca1929:I was actually trying to figure out why EA rejected your student copy. Mine is just two A4 paper in black and white except for the school stamp which is blue. As a rule do not go below 300dpi scan resolution when dealing with EA. I guess the transcript wasn't clear enough and CO wasn't convinced of its authenticity. I suggest you get it stamped (If possible), scan at a minimum of 300dpi and explain to CO the strike action at your school. |
fonseca1929:Please what was the scan resolution of the student copy you uploaded? |
kMan2204:Don't leave out Reference letter for your full time experience. Check MSA booklet for more info. |
Alphadoor:Like I posted, it's a long story. Didn't realise I had made some attempt before leaving to attend to some other issue. I crossed the attempt threshold (5) leading to the locked EOI. I did some digging. I read the FAQ. I have to create another EOI if password reset and browser switch is not successful. I have mailed the tech team to remove the previous EOI from skillselect. They don't unlock, reset or provide answers to security questions (from FAQ) Thanks anyway.......well appreciated |
Alphadoor:Got my positive assessment a few days ago. Submitted my EOI immediately but I was forced to ditch it for a new EOI......long story New EOI submitted with DOE 2/5/2017. Do I contact DIBP to remove previous EOI (locked already)? Same info both EOI but lost access to first one ( I know.......I goofed) Smh for myself. |
UzorSteve:No worries. If you can, lol, don't bother checking until about 30 to 33 days from submitted date. Checked almost everyday. Mine went from "queued for assessment" to "assessment complete". Just received a mail and logged in to check. |
Seajae:Toefl IBT.......The decision lies with you. Just be sure you have consulted and researched well enough. IELTS and PTE is common here. The most important thing is 'spanking' the test and in your own case, at the first attempt. |
Seajae:In the final analysis, It's not the cost that matters o. You should base your decision on the exam you're comfortable with and is acceptable for your intended purpose. Otherwise, you might end up paying the sum of all exams available. |
asadiaboymma:Na only you waka come but people don waka come before you. Try using another device to access the page. |
majiouk2002:Further clarification needed please: My Mum and a niece qualify as "dependent family members" but wondering if what they meant was the immediate family members like wife and kids. I think I came across an info that parents can no longer be added as dependents during visa application. |
Alphadoor:Sorry about the negative assessment. It's good you ain't allowing it to hold you down. The effort you put into researching info on this PR process is remarkable. It's evident from the answers you provide here even though your're still in the process. Same with Bnimz. Congrats mamajaz. I know that feeling. Speaking of the waiting game, I only just submitted my EA application 26th March, but I have had like three different dreams already. Good thing is they all turned out positive. Lol. I hate suspense. |
majiouk2002:I assume you an employee of an organization where tax is deducted from source. If so, request for a Tax Identification Number (TIN) from your HR/employer. This is because if you went directly to the IRS, you would most likely be redirected back to your HR. I am not sure you can complete this process within a comfortable period of time. Your pension statement could be an alternative. You could request a soft copy from your Pension Adminstrators. |
Congrats Tyosho. |
Congrats Jamson and Bolaobby. The joy exuded through your posts is such a propelling force for others still in the process. I feel like quitting work just to focus on this PR. LOL |
@ Jukeblam : It's as if you just dashed me AUD280. But na wa for me o. I didn't know until now despite not missing a post. Curiosity kills the cat. At this point, I feel like a student that is about to ask a question the teacher might consider silly and so may receive a dirty slap in return. Question: Why then do 'Vetassess people' always complain of having their relevant experience duration slashed? If Vetassess slash am, replay am for DIBP nah. #takescover |
mctowel01:I can't imagine a fan of ......... staying awake at odd hours just to stream matches o. Not worth it mehn! Occupation: Telecommunications Network Engineer Degree: B.Eng Electrical |
Congratulations Tyosho for safe landing. You shall prosper in the land. But wait o, no live premiership matches for Down Under o except nah security work you dey do. Nah highlights we go dey watch when we wake up the next day. |
damoche64:That was what I understood from his post too. However what I gleened from following this thread is that you could assess experience with EA and decide not to claim experience with DIBP. In this case, no employment/ experience verification will be done by DIBP leading to a faster outcome during visa application. Of course, 20pts from language test will be non-negotiable. I would like anyone to clarify please because it makes economic sense not assessing experience with EA if I could still claim points for experience with DIBP. In fact, why would anyone wanna assess experience sef? But then, how would an experience based CDR be verified without paying fee for experience assessment. Obviously confused abi? Ehn, help clear that area biko. Thanks. |
michV:English exam: N68,000 EA (fast track): N360,000 (est. ) Visa fee: N1,260,000 Misc: N10,000 Total: N1,698,000 This, in my opinion, is the realistic estimate for the entire process. It would be less if you have access to forex at(or close) to official rate. Assumptions: You're a single applicant and you ain't assessing your experience. |
prettyirene:You mean your former company is willing to give a 6-yr ref instead of the 4.5-yr you actually spent there? That's like a falsified doc. It's not worth it in my opinion. Nothing can stop you from getting to heights God has destined you for. Is it not the same Vetassess that cuts years of experience anyhow? Why not let your husband be the primary applicant as you were earlier advised? Is his 13 yrs experience not from working as a sales/marketing rep for an organization? |
Vivienne01:Your bank inclusive. Edit: Make enquiries where you bank. All commercial banks should be providing this service now except banks with cash problems (they might not be able to provide the equivalent Naira as direct deduction is made from their account with the CBN). |
Solitin40:Approach your bank. You know it's all over the news, right? The new CBN policy on forex. A few banks have been sending messages to their customers already. I believe you would be attended to. |
Nwokeomajayb:Bro, I think you made a big mistake already and you should not continue along that path. I mean do proper research before you embark on a project. Your goal is PR, you only needed to write a CDR, English test and get other required documents for assessment with EA. You should not have gone the study visa route. The money spent already will have landed you in Down Under with cash to spare. It hurts to know you only just got there and cost of pursuing your masters is telling on you. Since your complaint is money based now. You probably thought the masters will confer some significant advantage. But not much really in your own case. Okay.......download sample CDRs from the thread and use as GUIDE. Prepare for your English test......IELTS or Toefl (cbt) Follow through with the steps given by Bnimz. See me o.......forming 'sabi'. Lol |
Bnimz:I won't be surprised if you have packed your bag already. You fit travel the next day grant arrives sef. Lol |
I rejoice with everyone that got ITAs yesterday. Val day to remember. Lol. Congrats. |
tyosho:Correct! You're too much. Lol. |
tyosho:So you don vex be that? Na wa for you o. May be na you go still come pick me for airport sef. If I reach out to you say make you come pick me for airport when I arrive....make you no answer.....you hear? |
Bnimz:Wow! I didn't have any gears on when I responded. No intention to tackle anyone.....didn't know it will be interpreted that way. Just wanted us to realise that placing emphasis on the reason for writing the exam was not necessary. Reading and passing is the koko |
40manlappy:Immediately I entered the test room and greeted the examiner, he responded but kept fiddling with his recorder. He then started off a conversation about world economics, politics and the like. The fiddling didn't stop. At intervals, he would check the recorder. He assured me he would inform me when the test starts. The conversation went on for about 5mins. He touched the recorder and said he was about to start the test. Unknown to him, he just pushed my panic button. Liver just failed me. I wasn't myself afterwards. Na then I know say English wicked. I was incoherent for most part of the test (imo). Repeated phrases and words unnecessarily contrary to tips I got while studying. The rest is history. I left the room feeling disappointed in my performance. |
