FamilyRe: Homosexuality And Its Adverse Effects On The Family by orgasticdance: 2:54pm On Jun 15, 2013
Tgirl4real: I grew up understanding a family to consist of a mother, father and children (and by extension, a group of people related by blood). And I understand a marriage to be the legal relationship between a man and a woman (husband and wife.

If homosexuality were to be the norm in the society, how would the world's population have increased this much. Moreover, God didn't create 2 men; male and female he made them.
From this it's obvious that God must have been a homosexual to have had no idea that the man he created would abandon his woman one day...

sajbabs: There is no doubt that Nando will be in that house for 91days n a big contender.
He is so real and good at it, more consistent compared to Hakeem and Melvin, he has no time for lovy lovy... He's way ''Let's bleeping Get Laid'' -Typical American style... If melvin keeps the attitude, he's gonna loose to him and I'm very serious about that cuz girls like Bad boyz e.g Keagan of stargame but all d best to d naija dude tho...
Bigeasus is so at d doorstep of his home.
I agree. He's bn enjoyable to watch so far; plays the game alright-- rid of all the mushy nonsense viewers like me dont care about. But there's no body in the world i want to be made hoh or nominated for eviction(unlikely i admit) as much as nando. I'd love to explore that playful lively exterior he's been projecting which really doesn't strike me as genuine. he's too reliant on crowds and booze, and as safari girl rightly noted he needed beverly's stroke of madness- why why why, obviously he's not a natural extrovert which beverly undeniably is. his personality rises in proportion to the liquor he has in his system--that's weak! Won't be surprised if he turns all quiet if swapped to the ruby house. Anywayz he's bn my 2nd most entertaining hm --tho a distant 2nd from the geek( who in one week gv me more lasting fun than any of the remaining hms so far). Im also digging bimp's laidback style, letting the game come to him, but id also love to see how that pose gets rattled in the messy reality of a nomination a swap or hoh role.
RomanceRe: Younger Men Dating Older Women - Reasons by orgasticdance: 2:50pm On Jun 12, 2013
all things equal, older women usually have more wisdom and experience, hence they are usually more interesting for guys looking for more than a sh-ag. I've dated an older woman and it proved to be one of my most stimulating relationships.

Don Carlos: I watched the prog. The boy obviously is good but one revelation from what I saw is that the reading culture is almost dead in this country. The question on Treasure Island which he missed could have been answered by any Class 3 student of King's college of the 80s' because that book was any student's companion back then. Video games as the boy revealed is the in-thing these days, not his fault though but a wake-up call to parents and handlers.
Again, I will like to see more corporate organisations organise intellectually competitive programmes such as this more often. That is one way to raise the standard and encourage research among our kids and help parents keep their eyes on the ball, who would not like to be in Joshua's mum shoes. Kudos to you Joshua.
Unfortunately it's not their job. Corp organizations can only do so much. When i was in school i won a national award sponsored by a corporate and i wud tell u that i won it because of the motivation i got at home to study read and work hard for myself not because there was a competetion out there to win. I agree that these kind of programs can foster compettion among children but where the work still has to be done is at our homes and schools. These programs only reflect the quality of education we have, they can't improve it.

dominique: Pheeeeew! The creepy Denzel is out but Huddahhuh shocked shocked. Africa got it wrong I say. It should have been betty or Natasha mehn!

@fork addict, in as much as I always enjoy your inputs on the BBA thread, I must disagree with you on this Denzel matter. Does acting creepy around women define entertainment to you? If your lil sis was in a house and she's being licked and drooled all over by a man, you'll still call that entertainment? Let's judge the housemates as if we're living with them abeg.
It wasn't as if any of the girls objected, did they? If all he did was drool and lick at peoples feet no one wud defend him, but he had more in him than you wud care to admit or notice. Africans need to embrace individuals regardless of their personality traits or quirks. Your calling him creepy doesn't make him creepy; it only reveals ur squemishness i dare say
PoliticsRe: Foreign Investors Pour Into Nigeria As Economy Accelerates (Updates) by orgasticdance: 9:19pm On Jun 02, 2013
735 i: The truth is; all i see around me are opportunities....

These new investors; they are going to be needing a lot of support services; Protocol, security, food (preferably their kind of food), digital maps of Nigeria, heck; some smart dude is going to manage their bank account and probably will eventually hold a key position in their Finance or Treasury department...
yet someone says; it's hogwash..or smokescreen...
***sighs*** wake up people!!!
A friend that got laid off from a new generation bank has gone to China to learn how to make their food...she'll soon come back and start raking in money...and employ one of these shortsighted slow pokes (as gate men of course) who are waiting for the government to spoon feed them.

Nigeria is the future... and the future is here!!!
#teamNigeria
Yes, all very well. The average nairalander knows this and is probably going to do well for himself. She'll become a treasurer in one of the new foreign owned banks or learn how to make thai sea food and come back home to set up shop. You and your fortunate family will do well. But is society as a whole currently being equipped with this knowledge of self reliance? Our educational system is worse than it was in 99!; the culture of corruption is still rife; structural problemns have been largely unadressed for more than two decades. Change won't happen in one day i agree, but when we see a sincerety of purpose and will in this administration's bid to create a fair and equitable society then we would give them their due.
PoliticsRe: Foreign Investors Pour Into Nigeria As Economy Accelerates (Updates) by orgasticdance: 9:08pm On Jun 02, 2013
OP which economy is accelerating? Someone's taking optimism a bit too far... If anything I'd be cautiously optimistic with that amount of foreign investment coming in. Foreign inflows into the countray was at its peak in 2007, we know what happened in the wake of the global meltdown. In fairness, foreigners are all about their self interests. There's a reason why China limits the number of foreign films than can be screened in its cinemas in a year to less than 5%. It cares about its local film industry. Foreign investment is good, it's a vote of confidence others have in your economy; but it should never be done at the expense of developing home based capacity...

mykali: Hey, it's a game. Nomination after one day. You can't blame the house for putting him up there because they were somewhat obligated to pick two nominees when they hadn't yet know much about them.

And if he was as entertaining as y'all thought Africans would have voted him. Please, not all Africans are daft or ignorant like you people might want to paint. But i guess if you have such premise about your fellow people quit watching the show and stick to American Idols and X-factor.

Sheeesh.
still doesn't change the fact that most of the people who voted natasha and selly over denzel are daft and ignorant and will end up denying some of us genuine entertainment...sucks to be in the minority undecided

Did u watch the show? Did u watch the presentations? his diary room sessions? Sure, any fool can stick in their tongues and look beautiful! Denzel had an original personality and supreme self confidence to boot! Not to mention his gift for sarcasm and wry humour...

In hindsight i think the nominations were done way too early, bb shud hv given hms at least one week to really gel,i'm very sure if that were the case betty wud b the one going home. safarigirl: Hakeem is NOT more interesting than Melvin, can't dance, doesn't socialize and can't even get with anyone cos the one he wants to get with (Dellish) ain't feeling him like that. Melvin's only competition now is....DENZEL, and even he can't kick Melvin out when it comes down to it.
Oneal? Elikem? I also think thats harsh on hakeem..i thought he was great in ruby house...he's not a better dancer i agree, but i don't think Melvin was way more social in the ruby house than hakeem

lalaosky: That's true but what of buncha dry peeps like bolt and bigeusas?. Bolt aint intelligent or even fun to be with. Speaks pidgin all the time. Believe me, that look alone will get melvin an extra point but won't win him the competition
Sure. But I won't even consider Bolt and Biguesas as competition--but Bolt has been fun sha. O'neal, Hakeem are some hms I had in mind who have shown an overall better package than melvin so far.
sholay2011: Hmmm....what do you think of Nando and Bassey?
Bassey's been decent! Nando not so much, I was pulling for him at the beginning. I liked how he was honest about how he came to the show, borrowing money from a friend to fly down to africa from the states for the audition. He has this self effacing thing about him. But that's about it, he needs to raise his game. Bimp is another person that has been flat out dissapointing.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Africa "The Chase" Official Thread by orgasticdance: 1:25pm On Jun 02, 2013
Nuzo':
Melvin seem to be a likable guy. He will go very far.

However, I didn't feel comfortable when little girls were schooling him about Africa, its countries and regional locations. It seems the dude only knows about Abuja and Delta state alone.

The other time they were asking about Nigeria...he was fumbling with his answers.

This BBA edition have more knowledgable and intelligent girls than boys. Except for Beverly...and maybe Selly.
This.Is my beef with melvin. He comes off as an A-male but when you strip out the looks and build there's nothing there. At least richard, karen, uti and kevin where loads of fun to watch even if they weren't super clever or anything. Melvin is just dry mehn-- he will score brownies with the girls i admit-- but in other areas he's way out of his depth in this show! he needs to stand out in something else apart from his physique and looks, in my opinion he hasn't done that. I can also say this for a couple of other male hms in the show..

cheesy cheesy Yay!! Thank holiness u are finally feeling him. I pray Africa keeps him in the house though(make una vote denzel ohhhhh!)I'll need blood pressure pills for Sundays eviction...

You need to be ready for anything, this is BBA not The Bachelor
Me know know oh...especially when finer chics full diamiond. Did u c the expression on delish and betty's faces when melvin and hakeem came into diamond house..priceless! I don't see denzel and neyll rocking the boat in ruby as much as hakeem and melvin would in diamond. for me mehn diamond just got a bit more interesting

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 10 Reasons Why Over 30million Young Nigerians Are Jobless by orgasticdance: 1:43pm On May 31, 2013
Covopfinconsult: Recent findings from public surveys conducted in Nigeria reveal that over 30 million young Nigerians (below 40years) are unemployed or under-employed.
Why? Many people say government caused it all. But i disagree with them because even in developed nations of the world like UK, USA,Germany,Spain etc, there are still millions of jobless youths.Though, past and present Nigerian leaders have failed us in the area of job creation but the truth is that over 80% of reasons for joblessness are personal. Then, what are the real reasons for joblessness, here are 10 of them below

(1) Lack of discovery of individual potentials
(2) Wrong choice of academic or career pursuits
(3) Low creativity and innovation
(4) Wrong public opinion
(5) Personal sentiment
(6) Laziness
(7) Over dependence on corporate jobs
(cool Get rich quick syndrome
(9) Unwillingness to serve others or start small
(10)Ignorance of available job opportunities.

Are you presently unemployed or under-employed?Conduct a thorough self examination to see if one these reasons is the cause.

If you need further free counsel, pls call [number hidden]

See you on top!
One thing your insightful post failed to mention was a poor education system and a cultural ethic of hardwork. Everything else hinges on these two factors. That's what this society crucially lacks. And by education I don't mean the paper certificates most of our graduates spend ten years to acquire, but the basic literacy and quantitative skills that you should have by the time you are 13-16. I was in a cab one day in abuja and the driver was bemoaning the rate at which beggers and street urchins cluster our roads. They have little or no physical deformities yet they choose to beg instead of using their hands to toil the soil with their god given talents. I thought long and hard about it and came to the conclusion that they probably do not know better. That's my point, without that knowledge that as a human being you don't need to depend on anyone for ur livelihood you are doomed to a life of dependency. And the rent seeking mentality of our leaders does not help; it's a plague that curses down through the veins and arteries of the nigerian societal fabric. It's ok for the occasional ardworking entrepreneur to make a kill from his tailoring business because he was lucky to be born into a family where these values are enthroned. If on the other hand u are born into a family of jerks, chances are far higher ur screwed for life...
