Liar, Igbos massively voted for NRC'sTofa-Ugo and MKO only won Anambra State among the Igbo States.
waternogetenemy:
In 1993, Nigeria only free, fair and transparent election, igbos from SS/SE voted heavily for MKO Abiola a yoruba man.

Though an Hausa man made sure he never claimed the presidency.

Yet no type of name these yorubas dont call us.

They tell us on a daily baisis that igbo can never rule.

They lied and voted GEJ out becos they were trying to hide power from igbos.

Yet fail to understand that they only became qualified in 1999 to be president by the sheer negotiation power of Southern Nigeria.

The same south they betray at the drop of a hat. Now they are running back to shout southern Nigeria.

A yoruba man can never win vote in the SS/SE again. Go and mark these words.

As long as igbos have not had their fair representation in the presidency, let us see how a yoruba will ever be president.

Buhari did not die as they planned and looks like he will recontest in 2019. The disappointment want to kill Tinubu.
Politics › Re: 2019: 4 Valid Reasons Why Nigerians Cannot Afford To Have Atiku In Aso Rock by oyatz(m): 10:01pm On Jan 20, 2017
That combination will be defeated. Its even better for SE/SS to support Peter Obi for president (even,if he doesn't win ,it will send a message)

The average SS/SE man is preparing to vote Atiku/Obi and escape doom from Buhari.

Atiku so far has not put a foot wrong, he appears moderate and considerate.

Liar, stop misinforming people, virtually all Igbos that have money in the banks withdrew their money just before the start of the war.

The 20 pounds flat rate was part of the reconciliation programs, given to BIAFRAN men(not just Igbo men) to encourage them to restart economically and never a repayment for bank deposits... too much of propaganda to gain sympathy !

confusion247:
First, I am happy that you agreed that their was abandoned property saga after the war. I am also happy that you said there wasn't an issue of such in yoruba land, but be informed that a yoruba man spearheaded the 20 pounds policy just to make sure igbos lose all the money they have in Nigerian banks before the war. My question to you is, if we have one Nigeria, is it right for you to forcefully take over the properties of other Nigerians?
Politics › Re: The Issue Of Abandoned Properties Is Not Yet Settled by oyatz(m): 7:17pm On Jan 17, 2017
Since 'Igbos own and developed P/Harcourt, how come they still haven't abandoned properties there, which they are still struggling to reclaim decades after the war?
Can you have abandoned Ijaw properties in Yenegoa or abandoned Igbo properties in Owerri?
his
Port Harcourt is to Igbo what Kaduna is to Hausa/Fulani. Imagine northern minorities like Kataff stealing Hausa properties in Kaduna! undecided shocked shocked Will that ever happen?  huh huh huh NO!

Frankly sometimes I wonder how my Igbo brothers think. I wonder aloud! shocked shocked sad

If I owned a property in far away Lagos, I WOULD NOT abandon it to the Yoruba. EVER.
Which is perhaps part of why I have not bought a property there, YET. Talk less of PH.

These things are very simple to understand.

I remember Ojukwu's speech in Kano after one of those Kano riots. He spoke in Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa, and his message was the same: YOU ARE NIGERIANS IN NIGERIA. NEVER ABANDON YOUR PROPERTY TO ANYONE.

If you buy a property among hostile groups, sanity demands that you should have taken steps to secure your self and family. I won't say more than that here.

PH is piece of cake in my view because it is an Igbo city historically, and Igbo already own the city and exist there in big numbers.

Nairaland is not even the place to discuss this.  undecided undecided undecided
Nna i tire for those people o.

In portharcourt. All the ibos properties in mile 1, mile 2, mile 3, lagoa, town. . . . . . . And so many aother places is been occupied by this lazy set of people. In the name of "abandoned properties"

>>>An ibo spend's  most of his life and savings, confort and enjoyment. I.e sleeping in his shop, taking garri and groundnut as a staple food. Compromising his children's education. To acquire land under one of the most stringent condition ever known to man, all of a sudden only to called it abandone properties. Wicked people.

>>> i remeber then in porthacourt, when i was about to rent an apartment my landlord was very clear to tell me that

" i dont want an ibo man in my house"

after prompting for a reason for making such statement he said

"they always want to buy off everything"

further he said

"   in my comminuity we dont sell land to ibos"

but ironically i later found out that the ibos owns more than 70% of portharcourt.

The popular notion then before i left PHC is that they are waiting for another abandoned properties to happen, can you beleive this!

>>> give the locals slots for work in companies the CLO of that comminuity will sell it out and buy new jeep, marry a new wife.

>>> i have never seen lazy people like this set of people. Drink and chop, carry woman to hotel, buy a new jeep, run gerator 24/7. Shikenan!

>>> my ibo freind used to tell that this time around no ibo man is going to abandone his property, instead there will be

"Abandone comminuity"

very sympathetic indeed!

There are Muslims who bear Abubakar, Mohammed, Abdulkadir, Abdulsalam and so on in Algeria, Senegal, Kuwait, Okene, Idaho, Auchi, Ebonyi ,Ibadan etc

Kwara has slipped past yoruba. Truth be told. Inasmuch as I am concern, yoruba is a relegated to a second citizen in Kwara.

Check back the list of 'Obas' you post. Jubril, Abdulraman, Aldulsalami, Abubakar and you still sit down on arms chair to claim yoruba in Fulani/Hausa infested land. A butter fly thinks himself a bird - Ola Rotimi
Culture › Re: Why Do Yoruba Muslims & Hausa-fulani Muslims Not Inter-marry? by oyatz(m): 4:19pm On Jan 17, 2017
Don't mind the bigots, thousands of Yorubas in Oyo , Kwara and Kogi States have Borgu, Nupe and Fulani ancestry and many Nupes and Fulani's in Niger ,Kogi and Kwara States also have Yoruba ancestry.
Sen Fatai Buhari (APC, Oyo North) bad Fulani ancestry
There is no pure Fulani in Kwara State, what you have at best is hybrid that chose Fulani self identification (depending on the proportions of ethnic mixture)

Do not short sell your people. Being a homo sapien is not a compliment, and saying another race isn't is not an insult If that's what it's meant to be. But it seems yorubas intermarry a lot with Igbos, igalas, Nupes... Fellow homo sapiens then?
Culture › Re: Why Do Yoruba Muslims & Hausa-fulani Muslims Not Inter-marry? by oyatz(m): 1:03pm On Jan 17, 2017
Like in any other places where two empires/ peoples overlap producing generations with ancestry.
1) In England, many people will tell you that most of the Teddy boys are not English but Irish (even though they may be only 1/8th Irish)
2) There are many people I have met in Kano, who told me they aren't Hausa and some even regarded the hausas as being backward, animists etc
3) Many Libyans , Tunisians, Morrocans and Egyptians denounce Arab identity.
4) Most Palestinians deny being jews ,even though genetic studies continue to indicate they share similar ancestry
People are free to chose who they want to be and ETHNICITY is no fixed through out the generations.

Nowenuse:
Pls get my point.
I did not say all Ilorin people are not proud yorubas, what i said is that some of them are not proud yorubas.
It is a simple cases of identity crisis just as u find amongst the Niger-deltan Igbos, some of them are proud of their igbo ancestry while some others deny their igbo ancestry due to the fact that they have a greater parr of their ancestry from another tribe or it may just b as a result of political incidences in the past.
Ilroin people were conquered by Hausa-fulani jihadists, so it is a normal thing for them to loose a significant part of their culture and acquire some of their conquerors.

There are some ilorin indigenes that are proud of their yoruba ancestry/origin WHILE there are some who deny their yoruba origin regardless of any political reason. It is just a fact because i have come across many instances of such.

Bros, Dangote is NOT the Federal Government of Nigeria, I hope you still understand?
He is doing his business on his own and he pays tax.
If you aren't happy about his investments or your are more sincere, you are FREE TO START YOUR OWN RAIL business.
PStacks:
If Dangote is sincere enough, i believe he should be paying more attention and interest to rail..

rail is far more cost efficient than plying trucks on our high ways..

it is gross act of irresponsibility to have federal government construct roads with hard earned tax payers money and have dangote alone ply over 10,000 trucks on road built by the government with tax payers money. Dangote is only taking liverage from the poor masses.. these truck are neusances to the roads and hazrds to the roads and in most cases reckless drivers.

Rail would do us more good in haulage instead of road, or better still, dangote can support the federal government initiative to have all federal government roads run on dualised 5 carriage xpress lanes so as to have special dedicated express lane carriers for trucks like we have in developed countries, not to hav trucks competing with vehicles on the tiny one way the government has bee able to provide how many years after independence..

that obajana road is a complete disaster, dangote is supposed to have taken responsibility for that road long before now.. the okene, lokoja road is a mad death trap, kabba-obajana road where all of dangote cements come from are no go areas.

the earlier we deal with ourselves with sincerity, the better for us as a Nation.
Business › Re: Dangote Floats $100m Truck Assembly Plant In Lagos by oyatz(m): 4:01pm On Jan 16, 2017
Since you seems to be better than Dangote in investment (?patriotism), why don't you investment in the railway business yourself?
bigboss80s:
Very unfortunate. This shows that:
1. He has no interest in investing in the rail which means he will lobby to ground the rail which Goodluck Jonathan struggled to resuscitate.
2. Nigerian roads are doomed. No country's roads (least of all Nigerian) can survive the pounding they will get from this number of trucks. So more money goes into road rehabilitation which is only a temporary solution to a permanent problem.
Nigerians should NOT laud a truck production company. Not at this time in our national development.
RAIL should be the focus now.

2) Political and military leaders of the Northern and Western regions were murdered but those of the IGBOS were spared
3) The immediate beneficiary of the coup, Gen Ironsi was an IGBO
4) Gen Ironsi failed to punished the coup plotters but instead abrogated the federal structure and instituted a unitary system

Politics › Re: The Real Owners Of Oil Blocs In Nigeria - Southerners & Niger Delta Top . by oyatz(m): 1:59pm On Jan 10, 2017
Its very obvious, you aren't very educated otherwise you ought to know that
1) oil blocks are allocated(sold) to COMPANIES which has no ethicity/tribes but with shareholders from across Nigeria and not to INDIVIDUALS
2) MOST oil blocks (88%) are owned by foreign multinational companies, are you angry that Nigerians have a paltry 12% share in their country's oil and gas business?
3) Are you aware oil producing States get 13% derivatives, Ministry of Niger Delta ,amnesty deal and CSR from oil companies? In addition to lucrative pipelines protection contracts, oil bunkering and illegal refineries?

I think, what you guys should do is to collaborate with one another (all the who's who in the oil producing areas) and form your own companies, that can prospect for oil ,transform your illegal refineries to environmental friendly and efficient refineries that can meet the petroleum demands of Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta States, then watch how you guys will dominate the oil and gas sector of Nigeria's economy and nobody will contest it with you. Its easier to control things with less controversies in the private sector without government interference which will bring jealousy and poke nosing from other Nigerians.

When the oil spills it doesn't destroy the water in the North "naturally", when they flare gas it doesn't disturb the air in the North "naturally" but when it's time to own oil blocks, it becomes a natural endowment for "ONE NIGERIA".

Can you see how crazy you sound? Until Southerners start owning groundnut blocks in the North, Northerners should stay off Niger Delta "natural" resources.
Politics › Re: Pictures Of The Seat Of The Caliphate(sokoto) by oyatz(m): 10:10am On Jan 10, 2017
You are wrong sir.
1) in the 50s -60s, the Northern regional government encouraged and heavily invested in agriculture with produces like cotton, groundnuts, hides and skin being the main products.
2) the regional government had commodity marketing boards which buy these farm produces ,graded and repackaged them for export via seaports in Lagos.
3) at the point of export, the department of customs levied EXPORT DUTY on every tonne of groundnuts, cotton, hides&skin exported.
4) the marketing boards get Foreign exchange on selling their goods and pay the money to the coffers of their regional government.
5) the department of customs pay the revenues collected into FEDERATION account to be shared among ALL the governments of Nigeria based on allocation.
6) the same policy was applied to the EXPORT of Cocoa, Timber, Palm oil, rubber, coal exported from the South.

Stating the lopsided realities of the FORCED union called Nigeria does not mean giving the southern RULERS a free pass. Taking Niger Delta oil money to Abuja for sharing when no one shared the proceeds of groundnuts and cotton in the 50s and 60s from the north is HYPOCRISY and cannot go on forever.
You can also not ban alcohol consumption in the name of HYPOCRITICAL sharia but have no qualms collecting and spending the VAT money on the same HARAM things from the PROSPEROUS southern states.
Without these revenue sources, northern Nigeria will be so impoverished like their cousins in Niger, Chad, Mali etc.

BTW, how many of the roads and buildings were constructed and MAINTAINED by northerners since most of them are content with being almajiris rather than going to school huh

With ROTATIONAL presidency between the North and South which Nigeria appear to have now accepted,it will be difficult for Saraki to be president because the core North don't regard them as true Fulanis (no matter how they proclaim 'we are Fulani') and as such they can't get northern slot.
Ask yourself, why didn't the Northern elders pick him as 'Northern consensus candidate' in 2011 PDP presidential primary even though he was the most qualify?or do you think a Saraki can defeat Muhammadu Buhari in the core North?
