So what are you driving at? We should stick to the same system that has proven unworkable since 1960 not only for the South but for the North itself. North will also benefit from the restructuring bandwagon that has seemed to dominate political discourse today. With a large expanse of land they have huge resources to explore for their agrarian revolution, not to talk of huge amount of minerals that have found deposited in some parts of the North. The only people who are happy with the current system are the politicians themselves, and they cut across all ponds, forget about their political rhetorics and bylines, they are all the same. If we restructure this country and allow every region and state to develop at their own pace, this will spur competition for growths. That is the major benefit of restructuring.

Giving free money to people is not the best way to end poverty, if you want to help people, give them money in such a way tha will help investments and productivity. But the bambiala culture is part and parcel of northerners, they will rather stick to the lopsided sharing formulas in the country than building capacity towards their own development.

Some of them might even think these VATs are their money which the government is taking from the south, not knowing it is just the magnanimity of the economically bouyant states to help the less economically bouyant states in the country

But despite these massive borrowings by Buhari, Nigeria has one of the lowest external debt to GDP ratio in the world. All of the developed countries in the world have at least over 100% percent of their GDP as the external debts. USA bonds are the biggest, Americans use issuing of bonds to finance their budgets, that is why their current account often shows negative figures. Same with Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, France, etc. The problem with Nigeria and other developing countries going on borrowing spree is that, their credit ratings are poor compared to these advanced countries, and they are also lacking in terms of assets and human capital development.

So do they think the school belong to only the staff? The school belongs to the students even more than the management issuing this directive. So if I'm a student and I'm not accustomed to using a public transport and the shuttle services provided within the school campus are inadequate to facilitate my moving around, this directive automatically expelled me from the school as a student. These people should come up with a better solution to their problem in addressing the reckless driving by some students within the school rather than this broad issuing of ban, unless they have ulterior motive for this ban other than what the reports said.
