Op, you didn't tell us your height, so it's not easy for us to tell how 'fat' you are. The only clue was your weight gain from last year to this year. A lot of advice has been given on this thread. Go through the posts and find what would work for you. You should have a guide as to what weight is okay for you. # Body Mass Index (BMI): BMI is calculated as weight (in kg) divided by height squared (in m2). For example, if a person's weight is 74 kg and the height is 1.75 m, then the BMI would be 74/1.752 = 24.2 BMI 18.5 - 24.9 (acceptable) 25.0 - 29.9 (overweight) 30.0 - 39.9 (obese) 40.0 and above (grossly obese) # Height versus waist circumference: If a person's waist circumference is over half of his/her height, then that person probably has excess belly fat. |

How to Detect Fruits Ripened Using Calcium Carbide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwk-rtHPdes Summary 1. Fruits (mangoes) ripened artificially with calcium carbide float when dropped in a bucket of water. If the fruits sink and reach the bottom of the bucket, they are naturally ripened or ripened using the natural plant hormone ethylene. Naturally ripened fruits or fruits ripened using ethylene weigh more and are more juicy; whereas fruits ripened using calcium carbide weigh less, and are dry and less juicy. 2. By the detection of acetylene gas: When calcium carbide reacts with moisture or water, it releases acetylene gas. Matchstick test: Hold a lit matchstick near a fruit artificially ripened with calcium carbide, it gives sparkles or even catches fire if traces of acetylene gas are present on the fruit surface. Caution: Do not attempt this test in close proximity to fruit crates or boxes/cartons with ripening fruits having calcium carbide and still releasing a good amount of acetylene gas as this leads to an explosion. 3. In the case of papaya (pawpaw) and banana, the stem portion of the fruit will still be green if the fruits have been artificially ripened using calcium carbide. 4. The fruits start developing black blotches on the surface within 2 - 3 days of ripening. |

Regardless of any language sentiment, this thread is important, because it is necessary for us to be informed. With this law in place, there is no need to apply for admission into any Lagos State higher institution, if you do not have a credit in Yoruba, even if that is your ethnicity or you are fluent in the language. With this law, do not apply for any post graduate degree or diploma in a Lagos State higher institution, even if the tuition fees are affordable, unless you have a credit in Yoruba. International or foreign students have no place in a Lagos State higher institution unless they have a credit in Yoruba. |
chuksjuve:The steam ship that was used in 1880 is no longer a ship; it has become a museum. |
GlobalGisting:What you did was unprofessional. You were given a job and you were probably paid for your services. It is good practice to put aside your personal views of your clients while working for them; confidentiality is also an important work ethic. If I knew you personally, I would probably not ask for your services. |

The police arrested 16 persons for what? For having a meeting in a hotel? ![]() Well, one of them may be charged for unlawful possession of a pistol. It is unlikely that a pistol would be displayed openly in a hotel. |
Even eBay, which previously owned PayPal, now plans to cut off PayPal as its main payments processor. https://vox.com/2018/1/31/16957212/ebay-adyen-paypal-payments-agreement As several people have said on this thread, PayPal does not allow residents of Nigeria to receive funds. If a foreign company snubs you, you may snub them back. You may use PayPal only when the product or service you want to purchase is very important to you and there is no other payment option. |
Hmm! And people have been killing scorpions and posting the pictures on Nairaland, throwing "money" away. ![]() The article did not tell which species of scorpion has such an expensive venom, or does the venom of all scorpion species have the same monetary value? How may I import king cobras and start a snake farm? |
Why were they arrested? No crime is stated here. There is no law that states that meetings should only take place at certain hours of the day; besides, just because some friends are gathered together, does that really mean that they are having a meeting? Belong to a 'cult' (whatever that means) is not an offence. What becomes an offence is when the 'cult' or group is involved in criminal activities. |
4,000 watch hours may not be difficult to achieve if the content is interesting. However, getting 1,000 subscribers could be tough, unless it is possible for the YouTube channel to make it mandatory to subscribe before its content can be viewed. |
bedspread:No. The report should have said "Damaturu residents" or "residents of Damaturu". The phrase "Nigerians in Damaturu" is misleading. |

Which beach is this? What country? What city? |
QuietHammer:Probably none, or at least none that can be proved. He did not even say he is mad, so the allegation that he is pretending to be mad is just an assumption. The only issue is the possession of Valium injections; however, in this country, almost all drugs can be purchased without a prescription. |
