It has been rumored. There is a retired colonel acquaintance of our family and he insinuated it stating that it was not really hidden and that there were certainly homosexuals in the Army sbaks: this will be like the second time i will be learning about this. Pls is this story true as in ibb gay? he looks gay sha :-/ pls @pbundles reply. Thanks |
This is not hearsay, its someone I know personally that has a fleet or cars (+40) ranging from US performance cars ( Shelbys) to the latest Ghost. I see him a lot as he lives near me and we converse. I know for a fact the Mas has been to the garage at least 3 times this year. Why would I lie about it ![]() I remember a case where a Lambo Gallardo he owned ( he sold it) had 2 freak fires in the engine compartment. In honesty looking back all his rides had issues here and there, but the italian ones just seemed severe. I recall him stating how much it cost to keep the italian cars roadworthy, it was insane. The porsches on the other hand were a fraction of that. omonnakoda: Maybe 20 or 30 years ago .These days there is no such thing. Cars are INTERNATIONAL with lots of input ideas and parts made all over the world and even COMPETING companies come together to do research so as to reduce costs. You will find sometimes the exact same components in different marquees |
Funny you state that Omar. I have a contact here who has a fleet of cars to die for ( can you imagine having that as a job). Anyway his exact words were: Nothing beats the sound of an Italian Car but......... you will be going back and forth to the garage to get it repaired. He had a Maserati Quattroporte, that was at repairs like every other month. When I asked if that was normal he was like, its Italian. omar22: Just talking about Speed and power (Super sport car) nothing rivals the Italians, on the other hand Le Man have been dominated by Audi powered engines. |
Wont argue with you bro, you got the cars specs thing down. I have been following your posts, RESPECT. But in your opinion why the big difference in models ( old ones vs new). Siena: Bro, sadly I'll concur with Baby-Boy here. Mercedes-Benz rust like mad, even in none-accident repaired areas like around the sunroof, A-pillars around the windshield, and the A-posts that support the front door hinges. |
Sorry but thats not true what you stated. Classical music has been said to have soothing effect on your demeanor BUT productive dont know about that. Actually it was proven sometime ago that pulsating music (rap, rock) made one work hard be focused and as such more productive. The learning of a musical instrument wont make you smarter, its the same as any other learning process and as such can increase brain activity. Sukudo ( japanese logic puzzles) have been tested to stimulate and boost brain power, which is NOT the same as increasing IQ. 2 different things. duality: classical music can make you intelligent and productive. |
Very Very good point. It would suprise you to know that many of these so called dumb rapper where actually str8 A students ( ie Biggie, JZ, PAC was elected by his fellow students as being one they expected to excel later in life, Big Sean, I could go on and on......)
Ironically, wack lyrical rappers like Lil Wayne and 2 Chains were straight A's students in High school. But i think, naturally brilliant people are choosy beings when it comes to music, not every popular junk of music pass through their ear drums. Go figure!
|
Are you sure he didnt mean the Singing Swift Tailor at his corner. Paroman: dude ...stop deceiving urself, u are not close to being a genius. It is taylor swift, not 'tailor' swift. ..........lol |
Yes I will have to give you that. vivacious vivi: Exactly! The cultural background and social affiliations would be parameters that should have influenced the study. |
In the meantime where do the rich and powerfull of Nigeria send their kids to study? Like come on, its common knowledge that IBB had a liking for boys. |
It says nothing and if anything the study is flawed as its based on cultural background and not actual IQ. Those that listen to Rap/hip hop are more affiliated with those that they see as being similar to (ie the rap stars) and who talk about their live experiences. Chances are that they are from less privileged environments, but having said that their scope of other music may be limited. Those in affluent environments who ALSO listen to rap/hip hop are opened to other forms as well. Thats the only difference. If the type of music defined yr IQ why would Tupac Shakurs and JZ's music be studied in Ivy leagues schools in the US and have professors quoting that is of a level that many intelligent individuals may not comprehend. Even the US president listens to JZ. |
Strangely enough I questioned this dilemma some weeks ago. https://www.nairaland.com/1462579/nigerians-hypocrites-homosexuality#18521190 |
And here Ladies and Gentlemen is the ISSUE we have in Nigeria. We are so stupid to accept that because she may have done good things, we should turn a deaf ear to her thievery. This is that slave menatality that we havent been able to shake off since the Brits left. Because master feed you, master should wip you when he please...Disgusted ![]() |
Sorry to hear about this, but I beg to differ especially with the later models due to the spraying process. I have seen this on aother cars as well, but this was due to cars that were either involved in accidents and got retouched without proper anti rust processing or adding of strippings after wards.
Mercedes Benz suffer from rust or corrosion I'm not proud to have to post this but over the past few years I've noticed many MB cars here in the Northeast US with rust which I consider unacceptable. The W202, 203, 210 and 220 seem to be particularly rust prone. I really love Mercedes cars as I was practically born into them. I've driven nothing else all my life except for a BMW during my college years. I've put over 500,000 miles on Mercedes automobiles. I'm particularly proud of an 800,000 mile 220D which I successfully drove cross country and back with no breakdowns. I'm also proud of a 450SEL which was driven to 330,000 miles with absolutely no engine work except for a timing chain replacement. I still have a 1971 220 bought new by my parents. This car is in pristine shape. I am still the proud owner of mostly older cars: 1958 300d, 1963 220SEb coupe, 1971 220, 1971 280SL, 1973 220D, 1982 240D and a 2005 G500. I am however very hesitant to purchase anything new or newer from Mercedes based upon what I consider a pretty bad rust track record. It's too early to tell what the W204, 212, 221 etc models will do and honestly I'm not sure I want to find out. I would really like to continue to buy Mercedes cars but some reassurance would be necessary. Where I would get the reassurance I don't know!! Here are some pictures I've taken over the past few months to illustrate my point. These are not what I would consider fluke occurrences as I've seen many, many more such cars which I did not photograph. These cars have rust everywhere - not just one isolated panel which could be attributed to poorly done bodywork. All these photos were taken in Massachusetts
|
Siena GTFO here! Did you have a 74 Mustang God I love that car! I wanted to get one and refurbish it, Light Blue metalic the works, but they changed the tax ruling on old timers here making it very expensive to keep, but one day....................Siena: I love older Yank tanks. I owned a 1974 Ford Mustang back in the day, great car. I'll get another US classic hotrod at some point, love 'em. |
Sorry but its German all day. J cars are nice and the top of the line are solid, but thats just the case. A normal German car equates to high level J car. Always been a Benz rider and wouldnt trade me new E300 for any J car. Avantgarde with sport button for extra boost, Eco ( its a Hybrid, dont be fooled can still do 7 secs 0-60) gives me 24 km per litre or 66 mpg.
Time for other regions to start looting. The Hausas and the Yorubas looted this country for 53yrs so stop the crocodile tears. Its our time to loot so y'all can go about your business. The resources belong to us and we have every reason to take it. I support this Stella even more now.
Dude you cant be serious. I hope you are saying this out of frustration, cuz if you take a step back and read what you wrote its simply STUPID. Look I have Ibo blood in me too ( though blessed to be a mix of all regions, North, South and West also), but really, this lady is a thief. She is one of the reasons why we cant progress. She was Jonas Admin and Finance head for his campaign, she also has an oil marketing company ( yes those that that are collecting via the subsidy route). She is only their as Jona probably had to pay her back for all her GOOD DEEDS durin the campaign. As for me, she gets no pity, I dont care which region she is from she is a thief. You need to ask yourself, do you think she give s rats a@@ about you. Dude if you were in trouble and asked her help, even if you told her you were from the East, she wouldnt pee on you if you were on fire. When will ppl realise there are no religous or regional devides, just two in 9ja... the have and have nots. |
Seun: @pbundles: His bike was not a public bike.Point taken, but he does state that when confronted he didnt respond and walked away, obviously ignoring the guard. Not the proper option. Maybe it wouldnt have hurt to simply ask WHY? |
Benard94: I was at the GT Bank today (OAU, ILE-IFE branch) to deposit a sum of money. I went with a private bike to the bank. It has been continually emphasized that public bikes are not allowed at the bank’s car park (although no symbolic indication there). On this day, I was about parking this bike of mine on the slab as I use to do. Apart, I met another bike on this same slab and I have once being told by a security man that private bikes are allowed on the slab. One of the bank security men approached with harsh and commanding tone, “get out! Don’t park there! Leave there now!” Being in a hurry to deposit the money as my friend is waiting to cash it in Lagos; I didn’t utter a word, parked and entered the bank for the transaction. On coming out of the bank, I discovered this particular GT bank security man has contacted the school security (OAU) to take away the bike on the ground of arguing with him. |
These guys make me laugh. They think we are fools. Why going after a dead mans loot, whereas some of the looters (OBJ, Babagida, our Lagos Kingpin etc etc etc etc) we all know are alive and kicking and can tell you where it is. This is a circus, just fooling the masses into thinking they are doing something. |
Let me tell you now what the next step will be......request amnesty and by the way a paycheck. Like someone said earlier, ONLY in Nigeria does it pay to do crime.....look at the politicians. |
dont8: What has really gone wrong with our level of morality and conscience in this country, smh.Honestly can you blame them. look at our leaders. If the head is bad the tail no go fine. |
Dont know on what basis this report was done as I find it hard to believe that its better in Ivory Coast, Liberia or Haiti! That however doesnt take away from the fact that we should think about takig care of our elderly as they built the nation and shouldnt leave it to the fact that their children will take care of them. In an advanced society, one which we arte seeking to beome, we need to have a safety net for them. |
Six months from now............................... Neighbours of the Brazilian family watched with horror as 7 tigers maimed the family that have been looking after them for years. Juan Jose, a close relative said and we quote: I cant believe it, they loved them so much, how could this happen. Worst of all after killing each family member they started using the Chihuahua as a football, guess they were real Brazilian raised tigers, Juan said while being consoled by his wife Maria Rosalita. |
Speaketh the commander and |
Having been in banking for approx 20 years, I can see where your lecturer is coming from, but I think that they are both neded and work hand in hand. Accountants are focused on analysing or recording. If they are managment accountants they will be more focused on expenses, if Finance they will be able to analyse client books and possible investments. Economists use economic theories to try and see trends and forward looking projections. In investment/corporate banking we need both. |
You do realise that when you add and N you get LASTMAN. Enuf said. |
Maybe Im missing something, but dont you need working papers to work in the US even after getting your Masters. |
