It is pure inferiority complex that is wrong with the Africans, especially, West and Central and east african.
When Egypt ruled Africa and handles star stunned Brazil, Egypt relied 99 percent on their local leagues. They were fire and were even respected globally.
North Africans invest on league and mix with maybe few foreign players and that has worked for them and that is the right thing to do.
Same thing Asians are doing.
It is only west Africa that Wil go and pack all their players from Europe, even those playing in lower definitions. Players who have scored no goals or few goals as against their locals league top scorer who could probably do better.

Egypt league, most use VAR for their leagues. If u have a rule that at least 50 percent of your national team players come from ur league, it will help and encourage u to invest in ur local league to develop competitive players.
If u compare the north Africans and their counter parts from west Africa or East Africa, u would see that the north play better and more strategic.
