You could not have said it any better. I will continue to advocate for preventive rather than curative medicine. When i mean preventive, i am talking about maintaining a healthy lifestyle . And truth be told, it is far cheaper than running helter skelter looking for drugs. Obesity, cardiovascular diseases, chronic renal failure,diabetes and even cancer don't happen to anyone overnight. They come as a result of longtime unhealthy practices and lifestyles. Although genetics do play a somewhat uncontrollable part to these diseases but maintaining a healthy lifestyle can alleviate this. Stay healthy. |
Nice one. Not until recently did i come to discover that skipping breakfast tends to make one add weight reason being that there is always a tendency to overeat during "brunch", dinner and even supper. With the already slow metabolism associated with skipping breakfast, fat-gain is inevitable. Rather than skipping breakfast, i encourage indulging in healthy meals. |

Wow, its really been long. How are my gym buddies doing? The reccession almost touched my muscles but i no gree for am at all. The economy is in a phase which i believe is transient. It will pass. Both diet and exercise are very important but the scale will tilt slightly to diet. Why do i say so? Consistent consumption of a good and nutritous diet coupled with "little exercise" can go a long way in keeping ones' body on track. If you feed on junks but exercise very well, you are only causing so much damage to your system. Let me shock u, do you know that exercise generate some reasonable amount of free radicals in the body? Such free radicals coupled with bad diets(junks) can exacerbate the tendency of ones' body coming down with deleterious illnesses. So like i will always tell anyone to eat well and when i mean well , i am talking about good nutritous diets (whole grains, fruits and vegetables, white meats, coldwater fishes,minimal consumption of salt, regular drinking of water) and exercise your body well. |

Make sure you see your doctor to refer you for ecg and stress-test. Endeavour to check your blood pressure regularly. Prevention is always better than cure. This healthy lifestyle you have recently adopted please and please let it be for life. Don't revert back to your "old" ways. To have a healthy approach is always cheaper than buying drugs or medicine to cure illnesses. |

Very informative. Sugar in itself is the body's number one source of fuel for the proper functioning of its cells. People should always endeavour to go for natural sources of sugar,such as the ones found in fruits, sugar beets, sweet potatoes. The major culprits are the refined sugars like aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, st louis and dangote sugar etc. If you are finding it difficult to stop at least minimize your consumption. If you are an exercise freak, the better for you. |
U no do well. Rather than criticizing them why not give them tips to follow to shed those unwanted bodyfats. It is not a crime to be FAT, but it becomes a crime/challenge/problem when such person does nothing about it and keeps on expanding like a bread soaked in water. |
It beats my imagination to know that a person can with his/her own hands decide to cause havoc to themselves. She is facing d withdrawal symptoms of "mau mau". D vomiting and stooling will pass but my fear now is that she must have tampered with her hormones and have got her menstrual cycles messed up. She really needs to see a gynaecologist asap. But if the vomiting and stooling is unabated, she should go to the hospital. |

U talk about 1 year shelflife that means it comes with added preservatives. How safe are these preservatives? Does this not jeopardize the health integrity of this product? |
That is why the nigeria army will forever be porous as long as this "godfatherism" of a thing thrives. Funny enough those candidates with godfathers are not as qualified and physically fit as you guys. Well, for those of you dropped don't worry, your time will come. I could remember some few years back when i was dropped at d final stage for no "just" reason at all. I had d physicalities of a soldier, goodheight, wellpumped pecs,biceps and all intelligence quotient was topnotched. But because i was "alone", dose bunch of idiots ignored me. Thank God i am better for it today. |

You have to remove the word "everyday" from that title. It is good to have sex but doing it everyday can be detrimental to ones health. The quality of sperm would also be affected. For crying out loud "Sex is not food". |

chiraqDemon:When you say you want to loose bodyfats fast, you make laff. Did you gain that fat fast or overnight? The answer is obviously no. So how then do you want to loose that fat fast. Please and please erase that thinking from your mind. Don't even think of weightloss pills, they can be very toxic. I want you to know that fatloss takes a lifelong approach which if adopted is very effective and sustainable. Now back to the meat of the matter, you talk about making food your main hobby during hols. Fatgain occurs when your calories input(foods ingested) far exceeds your calorie output(expended). 1. You have to reduce your portion size(the size of food consumed per time) 2. You must increase your protein intake. Protein here should include beans,lean meats, chicken or turkey without its skin, eggwhites,fish(no catfish:contains unhealthy fats). You could eat titus, salmon, sardine. 3. Increse your fibre intake. Vegetables contain fibre. Akwa-ibom is blessed with rich soup. When i was in akwa-ibom, una nearly use good soup kill me. Mehn. 4. Reduce your consumption of white carbs like white rice,white flour etc. Go for our native rice like ofada, brown rice. You can eat sweet potatoes(boiled and not fried) 5. Increase your daily activities, avoid sedentary lifestyles. Most especially sitting down on the couch and watching season films is not that good most especially if done on a daily basis. Increase your cardios like jogging, briskwalking, playing soccer. 5. Please drink water very well, avoid sugary drinks because they contain empty calories including fruit juice(those ones in pack). I am no dietician but i can be of great assistance to you. For a start your BMI is off the hook. Are you a male or female? I will ask you some questions to kickstart this interesting journey of yours. How is your regular diet like? How many times do you eat in a day? Are you in love with junk foods? How often do you eat fruits and vegetables? Are you sedentary or physically active? How often do you exercise? Do you take alcohol(beer) regularly? How is your sleep pattern like? I need your answers to this questions. |
