Nairaland / General / Re: Huge Python Killed Behind My House Yesterday by Prognose: 3:05pm On Mar 24, 2020 |
That's a python . They are not poisonous. Neither is it big enough to strangle or eat you. From the markings it looks like a ball python. They are COMPLETELY harmless and very shy of humans. You just killed a beautiful defenceless animal. You better eat it. Cos killing it and throwing it away would be totally wasteful and completely wicked of you. |

Crime / Re: Woman Attacks Her FMC Doctor Husband In Owerri, Cuts Off His Nose, Upper Teeth by Prognose: 11:05am On Feb 20, 2020 |
veeshock: The woman is a drug addict. She was a nurse working in the same fmc with him but she was addicted to pain killers (pentazocine). Her husband tried to get her off the addiction but she kept falling back. On the third attempt, she discharged herself from the drug rehab center an abandoned her home to be with her thug friends. She couldn't get the pentazocine again from the hospital so she resorted to using street drugs. On that day her husband was coming out of somewhere when he bumped into her. She told her thug friends that this was the husband and they should kill him. They pounced on him and beat him to stupor then held him down while she cut his face up. The husband passed out from the pain and they thought he was dead. She now called his mother to come and pick his corpse up then they left. As soon as they left people rushed and carried him to hospital. That was how he survived. He will be scarred for life. Chief get well soon sir. Look very well next time before you leap. You should have asked more questions from her colleagues. Unfortunately we don't have the traditional African method of investigating a person anymore. Too bad. 1 Like |

Romance / Re: Im Thinking Of Divorce Just Few Months Into Marriage by Prognose: 3:49pm On Feb 02, 2020 |
Kenoxman: @hybrid77 Nothing more to add. Except, you should know that the courts do not grant divorce until 2yrs after the marriage. This is to give you the opportunity to make things work or scatter the thing irrevocably. I will be the first to tell you that the first few years aren't easy. You are both adjusting to living together in close quarters. Not easy at all but for the marriage to work both of you must adapt. Ignore whatever she said. Women have a way of saying the worst things. If you follow their mouth you will just get bp for nothing. If u turn into the man she loves tomorrow you will see how her mouth will change. Na so Dem be. From the text messages you posted these are the issues. 1. You are bossy. You like having things your way or not at all. This cannot work in marriage, let me just tell you. Even if you're talking that she should submit , you want your wife to submit with love, not because she feels she must. It is better for you on the long run. Humility never hurt anyone and experience from making mistake is the best teacher. Allow her do things her way (be humble) and if it doesn't work she will learn (experience). 2. She is rude and uncouth. The tone from her message shows a rude person. Unfortunately girls can be like this too. And it is very very annoying for the man especially when she feels entitled and you have done so much for her. Let her know that you have heard what she said and will make changes but you dont like her tone of voice. She should be more polite, more respectful in her utterances. Women don't understand that men enjoy sweet words too. Teach her with play how to use sweet words to pass her message across. Most of all be patient. Give her her space and you too chill a bit. You guys can work it out. Cheers. 2 Likes |

DonMoel:So I got banned and my post was deleted. I guess you can't make prescriptions on nairaland? I dunno. Look for the hypoallergenic creams in cosmetic shops. As for the antibiotics, try third generation cephalosporins for 14 days. Look it up. Also I advised u take antifungals for three months non-stop. The rash will definitely clear if your consistent with these. Mods hope I didn't break any rules? Abeg no vex. 1 Like |
Health / Re: Dark Patches On My Skin. Dermatologists, Please Help. by Prognose: 2:18pm On Jan 21, 2020 |
DonMoel: It's clear. So that rules out a syphylitic rash. I'll go with a follicular dermatitis. A full blood count test will should show elevated neutrophils. If I were seeing you I would prescribe antibiotics for 14 days then use a hypoallergenic cream (the normal Vaseline petroleum jelly does wonders but you can choose any hypoallergenic cream of your choice, it's sold in supermarkets, written on the label) for six months. It might also be tinea corporis. That's a fungal infection. It's not as circumscribed as I'd like but then I dont know if your camera caught it very clearly. Is it on your face and back as well? Also tinea corporis would itch... Still, antifungals for 3months wouldn't hurt. There's nothing like seeing the person physically so as to look at the rash up close. We're only seeing bits and pieces. Something would have happened when this rash first came up three years ago. Exposure to some metal or cloth that someone else wore /towel someone else was using/ working in the/walking through the bush/vegetation in the daytime and not taking a bath that night, etc. Something would have triggered the event. Only you can let us know about that. Cheers. |
Health / Re: Dark Patches On My Skin. Dermatologists, Please Help. by Prognose: 4:15am On Jan 20, 2020 |
DonMoel: @melasma usually occurs on the face of pregnant women or those who are taking contraceptives. It is not widespread like this. If it was reaction to sulphunamides like someone else suggested, that one either presents as isolated large circumscribed rashes or full blown steven-johnson's syndrome. So it's not that either. I would have gone with the syphilitic rashes if u had said it is also on the palm of your hands. You didn't snap your palms for us to see so we can't know. Another idea could be seborrhoeic dermatitis. But it appears like a follicular lesion. The best thing to do would be to get a second opinion from another dermatologist. |

Health / Re: Her Palms Are Peeling. She Needs Help (Photos) by Prognose: 3:20pm On Jan 07, 2020 |
Offpoint: Exfoliative keratolysis following chemical trauma to the upper epidermis of the palms. The areas that keep peeling off are areas that have scarified tissue whose cells cannot keep up with the normal skin cell proliferation. Any other trauma will cause the skin to peel e.g dry weather, harsh detergents, creams, soaps, fragrant cosmetics, etc. Treatment is so simple I can bet $100 you won't try it. Treatment is to buy blue seal Vaseline. Rub it morning and evening to keep the palm moisturised and protected from the elements. I didn't say you should buy moisturizers as most of them contain fragrances and are waterbased and thus will dry off. Use Blue-seal Vaseline, the unperfumed one ONLY. Morning and Evening for 3months. But you won't do this cos you're looking for some complicated treatment and you're getting this counsel for free. Peace. 8 Likes |
