What undermined the Africa potential is Corruption, Bad leadership, and so on See the way I am laughing and rolling on the ground after reading your post. Allowing someone to swindle your company is what you call human sympathy right? That's corruption! And bad leadership? You think as an auditor he is not a leader right? How funny! With that kind of thinking, tell me, how is it even possible for us to have good leadership when we are bad as a people? You think you can be unprincipled as an auditor but when you become a president, then you become good? That is why we are bound to always have wicked leaders. We deserve them! |

People like OP grow up to be: 1. Wicked politicians that impoverish their constituents so only their families live in abundance.
2. Lecturers who demand blocking or sex for grades.
3. That your uncle who goes diabolical to kill your father because he was able to train you to the university.
4. That policeman who opens fire on a group of boys in a sleek Mercedes S-class only because he didn’t enjoy such privileges when he was a youngster. In summary, OP is Chiwetalu Agu in old Nigerian movies! |

The man in question is to be blame, he should have understand that his relationship with people around him matters a lot. My piece. This kind of thinking is the reason why your country is still labelled third world! Looking the other way when things are going wrong is exactly what you call "having human sympathy". We admire the developed world from afar but don't know that "lacking human sympathy" is what got them that far! That is why I pity anyone that sacrifice themselves for this country. We always cry wicked leaders! Wicked leaders! But we absolutely deserve them. We are too wicked to Nigeria to be able to stand good leaders, we'd kill them in a week! |

I lost my uncle some days ago and we put him into the mortuary. Our plan to buried him by january...
What brought about thread is that the mortuary attendant called us to take our corpse on the ground that he fight with the other corpse there.
We went there early morning yesterday to comfirm ourselves. What our eye see mouth no fit talk... E shock us.
He fought other corpse there. He even hang some on the window Attendant don beat him tire, they will still wake up in the morning and see other corpse scatterd and only him enjoying the room.
We where told maybe he's a cultist or he's in some spritual stuff before he died..
They ask us to take him away but we don't want to bury him now due to some family issues. You know.
Please exprience nairalanders, what do you suggest to do now to him? The attendant is lying and there is one way to prove it. Move the corpse to another mortuary and don't let the attendant know about that. Wait to see if you'd get any complain from the new mortuary! |

FreeStuffsNG: Please how did Madam Abike kill her or government of Nigeria responsiblle for her case that had gone through the Ivory coast legal system that convicted her ? These Francophone countries have something with their legal system and this is same thing with Sunday Igboho. Nigeria requested that he be extradited to Nigeria but they insisted that there is a legal infraction on their sovereign laws and will allow their justice system run its course. Knowing how Abike tries to help Nigerians in diaspora even after repeatedly warning us all not to go to hostile countries or get entangled in the legal system of their host nations, you are here still blaming an innocent woman. Do you think if Abike has the power to immediately free her, she won't? Please it's more of the legal system of Cote d'Ivoire to blame and even in death, she can still pursue justice. So we should urge government not to allow the case end with her demise. Government of Nigeria did not kill or watch her die and those who set her up will still reap the evil they sowed, government or no government. It's unfortunate that it's the same people who can fight for her even after death are the ones you have started accusing wrongly. Abike has the heart of Gold and will be completely devastated at her inability to annul the ivorien court judgement that already sentenced her to years in prison for human trafficking. Your post can pass for one of the dumbest posts I've ever read on nairaland! It's only in Igboland, a place where evil is frowned at and efforts made to correct things that the community comes together to punish their youths in a bid to save them from a societal evil as drug abuse. The method might not be the best, but it's a way of drawing attention to the evil called drug abuse.
Other parts of Nigeria would deny the drug use, ignore it or collect government money and embezzle it all in the name of lying to themselves. They will even give it religious interpretations or start trading blames like, "is it not yoruba people that sell our fulani boys drugs?"
Igboland is the best society in Africa. Now that OP pasted pictoral evidence you are hailing the east. Yesterday when this issue was brought up, some igbos were cursing and denying it, now the east is the best society. Lol |

Don't be defending nonsense, there is a reason that there are professionals for every work. It is funny how you are talking about professionalism in a country where the rescue team arrived hours after a disaster. Many people have been rescued from burning houses by neighbours and not the fire service department who are almost useless. If the building regulatory agencies in Lagos had any semblance of professionalism in them, the disaster wouldn't have happened to start with. Professionalism indeed! |

It has made corporations greedy and they milk Nigerians with reckless abandon at the slightest opportunity.
Why can't people just boycott those greedy brands, move to cheaper ones and let it sink in the heads of this corporations that no brand is too big to fail, irrespective of product or distribution network.
As someone that has travelled a lot around Africa,I can boast that Nigeria is the only place where this happens and consumers will show vulnerability and dependency by simply continuing patronage and showing these people that "we don't have a choice". All those businesses be they Telecom or crayfish sellers, Carpenters or ice block sellers, bakeries or or school business, they all have unions my brother, they all increase the prices together, they think they are doing their customers but they don't know they are doing themselves, as they increase their prices, other businesses will do same and that is how we unite and destroy the country. This one is loud, uncouth and talks like a running tap that wouldn't stop supplying water from its source. He made sure he cussed everyone out the day he came. Before he entered one of the screens to see a movie, I politely asked for his pass. The man told me that I have no right to question him about a pass or do I not know who he is?
I was embarrassed at that moment because eyes were beginning to set on me.
Eskiss me sir, who the fork are you? Baba, fun mi ticket, ki oh ko oshi e ko geddi fork off jor.
He went outside of the screen and was screaming to the managers how I was hindering him to go see a movie which was at least 30 minutes gone. He started yelling for a refund and the manager told him that was impossible. He was told that it's either he agreed to our terms or we reschedule him for another movie time. Baba wasn't having any of it.
In retaliation, he threw the big pack of popcorn on the floor and made a whole mess on the ground we stood on. His wife is trying. What a big baby.
He had to go queue all over again to get the ticket that he should have purchased at first. This time, I asked him again, he gave it to me and didn't wait for his copy. He just hissed and went inside. I laughed out loud so he could hear. Mischievous me. Babe, I like listening to stories like this. TheOnlyUyai: BASKETMOUTH -----------------------
I used to work in an organisation where we host celebrities from all walks of fame every blessed day. Basketmouth and his cohorts came on this eventful day for a premiere of a movie.
I and another colleague were assigned to their space to attend to them and address whatever complaints they had. My colleague was anticipating joyfully and had told me how "in her words", I go snap picture tire with these celebs today. I wondered why she was that excited. I mean, they had never appealed to me anyway. So, I couldn't imagine what her hullabaloo was all about.
Deep into the event, this colleague couldn't control herself and went all berserk pleading with Basketmouth for a picture. I had to take 10 steps backwards because I had already anticipated a truckload of embarrassment from him since his countenance changed immediately that colleague went towards him.
" Hi Basketmouth, you are one of my favourite celebrities. Please, I beg of you, can I just have a picture with you as this moment means a lot to me.
Basketmouth in his usual condescending arrogance outrightly told her to get out of his presence and face her job. I was ashamed on her behalf. I could imagine myself in her shoes at that moment. I was sure she died a thousand times.
Well, the excuse is that celebrities are humans too, and could have their bad and good days, but no, Basketmouth is an arrogant person twice every day. I made sure I paid him back for the embarrassment he caused her and the come back was mad. He felt it.
The time arrived for food and drinks to be shared amongst them. I made sure I took less than a pack of food/drink to be given so he wouldn't get any. I intentionally delayed him for 3 hours until the show was approaching nil. He beckoned to me and asked me what his crime was as he was hungry and needed to eat badly.
Well, I condescendingly replied as well and told him that I wasn't the one assigned to his table and that when the lady who was assigned to his table arrives, he'll get food to eat. He went silent till the show ended. Nobody cares.
CC: Sharpwriter. The bolded is sweet. I just love that. I hope your colleague took you out in appreciation and also learnt her lesson.
