Have you ever done anything 'stupid' before, probably under intense emotions?
My brother, anything u do with gross negligence of ur life amounts to stupidity and foolishness.

In this case, the guy's action was not spontaneous. He bet to bath, swim and drink gutter water. So he took this decision even when not triggered by the joy of winning.
This goes a long way to show u the value he attached to his life.

There are better "stupid" ways to celebrate than this that may affect ur life.
My brother, that guy has little value attached to his life.

So you are more 'human being' than he is?
No man is more a human than the other.
But a man can make his life worth more than the other man's life.
The way u treat ur life shows how much you value it and that is how others will value it.

Consider two guys that bought the same very expensive car of the same quality the same day.
One may decide to drive his more rough than the other. Hitting and scratching the car on almost every outing.
Does it make that car not to be a car. It is still a very expensive car but with less worth or value.

We are all human beings, but wen u start treating ur life carelessly, the value of ur life will drop.
Health › Re: Four Side Effects Of Sleeping With Lights On by Psoul(m): 8:16am On Mar 07, 2019
droptrend205:
Do you fall asleep with the lights on? Are you known for falling asleep watching TV? Or maybe you just so happen to live by a street lamp that shines through your window. It is possible that you are harming yourself more than you think.

Health Problems From Sleeping With Lights On

More health risks are becoming known to researchers about the negative effects of sleeping with the lights on. You may think you are fine leaving an LED bulb on or that the nearby street lights won’t impact you, but the truth is that you couldn’t be more wrong. Sleep is precious and so is your health. If you want to maintain good care of your health while getting a good quality of sleep, then it can be wise to understand how light can potentially negatively affect you while you sleep!

1)Greater Risks for Cancer

It may be hard to believe, but sleeping with the lights on can increase your chances of getting cancer. According to MIT News, research has indicated that an internal clock is dictated by light and helps to manage the understanding of time by directing cellular function like metabolism.

A study from MIT found that two genes in charge of these directions for the understanding of time have the ability to suppress tumors.

Getting rid of the gene as well as a confusion with the routine of light and darkness can be causes of depleted tumor suppressors and make potential tumors worse. With this understanding, the people that would be most impacted with a greater risk for cancer would be employees who work the night shift, such as plice, medical staff, etc.

There has also been sepereate research listed about the higher risk rate of getting breast cancer for women who reside by street lights or street lamps. This is thought by researchers to due to a change in levels of melatonin – a asleep=regulating hormone that is believed to ward off cancerous cells. Melatonin is produced more at night and less when eyes meet the light. Women who are exposed to light during the night may have a decreased amount of melatonin, which in turn weakens the body’s ability to ward off cancer cells.

2)Hormonal Changes

If you fall asleep with the television set on, then it’s time to know what you have been doing to your body. Though the light may be different, the blue light being transmitted through the television – and even computer or cell phone – can prove to be just as, if not more, harmful. This type of light emits blue light which creates changes in the hormones of your body, such as a decrease in melatonin when you are exposed to the light.

The human body is designed to grow tired when it’s dark and awaken when it is light out, but the artificial lighting can throw off this understanding which ultimately means there is a mess up in our hormones.

3)Heart Problems

As if an increased risk of cancer and hormonal changes wasn’t enough of a reason to be cautious of the lights surrounding you particularly at night, then the possibility of an increased risk of developing heart problems should help. According to Harvard Health Publications, a study has connected poor rest to heart complications and since light has an effect on the quality of sleep, it can keep people awake due to its ability to crush melatonin.

4) Greater Chances of Depression

Who would have thought that leaving a light on or being near bright lights when you are sleeping could increase your risk of struggling with depression? Light keeps people awake which can lead to a poor quality of sleep, and it was discovered that light impacts the brain’s regulation for mood.

A study conducted by a biologist from John Hopkins was published in the journal Nature, which concluded that light affects the neurological structure of the brain involved with emotion. Too much light at the inappropriate time – such as bedtime – can have the unwanted effects of depression.

Seeing that their narrative is failing, they are now selling another narrative. They are saying Igbos are putting all their eggs in one basket.

Warrant Chiefs didn't help matters either. So really, Igbos are not political lots. Same reason voter aparthy is highest in Igbo land.

But when we take a political stand, we speak with one voice. That is who we are.
We have always done. We did it with Shagari, Obasanjo, Ya'radua and Jonathan. We are doing it against Buhari.

Make no mistake, we have always put our political eggs in one basket and that is who we are. That is why we don't entertain dynasties. The likes of Saraki and Tinubu and Mohammed won't last a decade in Igbo land.
We are decisive and courageous. If that is what you call arrogance, then so be it. But we will never stand on the fence.

I write this because of the young generation of Igbos in Nigeria. Go home to your fathers in the villages and ask questions. Learn how to be Igbo without being apologetic. The first thing people notice about an Igbo man is his enterprising spirit. It is not found anywhere else. Ihe agwo muru aghaghi ito ogologo.

It is not a bad thing in a sense that decisions are collectively taken, from the household, through the hamlets to the community. It does not make us lawless lots. The consultative mechanism is our strength. Igwe bu ike.

This is the singular reason why the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo has not been able to evolve into that rallying point for the Igbos like the Arewa People's Congress for Northerners, Oodua Peoples Congress and the Afenifere for Yorubas.

Let us all brace up for the times ahead.
Someone who will dislike you will not always need a reason to. Add the ingenuity and hardwork of the average Igbo man to the mix, and dislike quickly turns to hate.

And I understand it. I perfectly do. Its not easy to like someone who comes back to your land, after being sent packing just a few decades ago with just some two pounds and all his properties confiscated by his hosts.

He comes back and acquires them back hundred folds, marries your daughters and prospers with them. Then goes ahead to not only carve settlements in Ojodu and Ojo for themselves, but is about to become a determinant to your political future in a dispensation where you have been promised a second place.

What they may never know is that the ordinary Igbo man is not interested in your presidency. We thrive wherever we go. So when you say we are not strategizing enough for the presidency, we don't see it how you see it.

The average Igbo man simply wants a good environment for his business, and good infrastructure for a decent life. The things which "presidency" has not bestowed on any ethnic group in Nigeria.

The five Igbo states have since 2012 almost consistently occupied the best positions in WAEC and produced the highest number of medical and engineering students in Nigeria.

Check the Igbo business in Lagos, Kano, Maiduguri, Portharcourt. Most are not based on government patronage. We make things out of nothing. Presidency means nothing to an average Igbo man. The ten poorest and educationally backward states in Nigeria are within the regions that have held the presidency within the last two decades.

A good example is the very primary school where President Buhari cast his vote. It was the closest to his ancestral home. A "successful" Onitsha business man who has made money from his trade will know that the church and the school closest to his home is the very yardstick to measure his success. He needs not become president to refurbish them. Ana esi na ulo mara mma puo ama.

To the young generation of Igbos, I say to you today, Quit trying to impress anyone about how hospitable or detribalized you are!
Nnamdi Azikiwe did it and failed, Jonathan did everything imaginable, things he did not do for his native South South and yet failed. If you think you can please Nigeria, then you have another thing coming.

Look at Benue people, they received the greatest visit of deaths from this government. But they'd rather die some more than let an Igbo man smell the Vice Presidency. And tomorrow, they will also tell you Igbos don't know politics. And you will want to engage them in an argument.

Do not be disturbed when you hear them say we are not united. We have never been that kind of united people. Read our history. Even as Igbos were dying in their hundreds during the pogrom, Gen. Ojukwu, one of the first Igbo men who realized that this "forced marriage" can never work was only "permitted" to embark on the war against Nigeria by seeking the voice of every hamlet, every village and every community. He did not take unilateral decisions.

That's how decisions are taken in Igbo land. We do no alienate those who are in dissent. We do not allow one Tinubu to make decisions for some and another Saraki for others, so that our two eggs are comfortably placed in two baskets. No! We rise to the occasion wherever we are, Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, sokoto. Our spirits communicate with each other and not with any leader figure and decide what is best for us. The game plan. How the North intend to rule for 16yrs.

Atiku will go to court. The case will keep lingering till the 3rd year or thereabout of this present administration. If PMB's health becomes bad, and if he could no longer be active to rule, court will award the election case to Atiku.

Atiku will then take over as the president and will complete his 8yrs in the office.
While this is going on, they'll be grooming Ribadu and El Rufai to take over after Atiku.

The North will neither hand over to the West nor to the East.

You are free to say that this is an analysis of a political neophyte. When the time comes, you'll see it as a prophecy.

Our country is very backward. The government is so insensitive. people are ignorant and not proactive.

With enough emergency situation training or enlightenment, this kind of thing can be avoided or reduced to a very low level.

I went for one of the campaigns in one stadium. When I was there the thought of stampede and safety overtook me. The crowd was too much, little children were even playing around on the ground. Many tire people were lying down on the ground and I was so scared and prayed that nothing bad happen.

My safety instinct told me to go closer to where lots of vehicles where parked inside the stadium that is away from any of the exits. This will give one protection in case of anything like stampede occurs.
My instinct also told me not to struggle to be the 1st to reach the entrance in such a case and to remain stationary behind the car I was standing by its side. Finally, I told myself that the best option I have is to leave the stadium. Thank God nothing bad happened that day.

Back to our government. What stops them from training people on actions to take on different emergency situations. Why won't the organizers of these campaign not make it as a point of duty to at least use 5mins to educate the people on the ground of inherent danger in such gathering and how to avert it?

Why will the organizers of campaigns especially on an enclosed places allow minors to be playing around in such a dangerous place. They are just after how many crowed they meet and don't care about how many will go back with their lives.
