i would definitely prefer Marriage than being alone, I don't think human beings were built to be alone.

It's just that the cost of living that makes one fear. If we were in a comfortable environment, the ideal age to marry to me would be 25 and raise kids early and enter the grave, People in Ibadan settle down much faster and live a much more comfortable life than most in Lagos.

Most men I know who married didn't have much when they got married, but they married women who were driven, that's 2 hardworking individuals in a marriage, I don't see any reason why they won't transcend their financial position. Unless we are talking about a married man with no foresight and goal and a liability. Every hardworking couple always climbs up. 2 Income Household is better than 1 my brother.

Still in, it's going well, out of all my exes, this is the only driven one I've seen. She takes multiple courses while working and does side jobs. I always support her and she also helps me look at opportunities but we fight alot, cuz we both temperamental. I be stubborn person. But she is good though I won't lie. Emotionally and spiritually she is very supportive. I have my own issues too, so no one is perfect.

I am glad because I hooked up a Figma guy with a new small quick gig, and also the intern guy, I guided him to create an Upwork profile and I refered a job that came to me, He has finally gotten his first client to work with. I am glad this guy took all my advice, cuz I get depressed assisting people, because sometimes It feels like I am forcing people to do certain things.

I wanted to start up a POS business with my savings of N65k, but the POS man that i consulted to assist me said i would need at least N150k to start up a POS business.

I've really been hustling everyday, doing hard works (especially on bulding sites), taking pain killer drugs on daily basis..

I don't think it will be easy for me to raised my savings up to that amount 'N150k' with the type of work that i do..

I wanted to travel to the city with my ND (National Diploma) result, so i can use it to look for work, I posted it here on nairaland, but 80% of the advice i got from this forum said it will be hard to see a paying job with ND result, while some said it is not even possible. So i couldn't travel again..

Now that my savings isn't enough to start up a POS business, i'm thinking of starting up a standard akara and akamu business and probably extend the business along the run..

As someone known by his people to have went to school, is the business worth the shame?

Change your mindset, you are a Food vendor not Akara Seller, Lagosian buy it alot, cuz it is cheaper to feed. Food is expensive and this is something the masses eats.

Well, I was just sitting aloof, sipping my black fearless small small . ...But then I thought about a similar scenario happening to my uncle who has only one wife... Their marriage has been blessed with five sons,and of course my uncle is a very well-to-do man...And out of their five sons,three of them studied abroad...

So after my uncle's retirement from the oil company he was working,he sat his wife down and had a discourse with her that he'd love to sell his port harcourt duplex so that he can use the money to build a house in his village here in Delta state...But his wife refused, insisting that everything that my uncle has worked hard to achieve belongs to her son's,that my uncle Shouldn't even dare think of selling anything....That has resulted to a serious pandemonium in their home..And of which my uncle has threatened to divorce her..But his wife has kept on threatening my uncle that she'd wreck my uncle if he should dare divorce her .

The wahala has even deteriorated from bad to worse to the extent that their sons has taken sides with their mom..... One time self,they all ganged up and beat their father .

My uncle has filed papers to a customary court,to divorce the marriage, because all the previous efforts he had made to take his bride price from his in-laws have proved abortive as they have been dribbling my uncle . He has vowed to sell everything,his shopping mall,his hostels,his other two storey buildings.....I even heard him complaining to my popsman that his wife has started to sell his cars and other things he left in his house..... Imagine someone who has different storey buildings now has to be a tenant in a two-bedroom apartment..

At this moment,my uncle has been plunged into a state of so much regrets,that if he had heeded to the advice of his kinsmen back then when they were advising him to marry a second wife,this wouldn't be happening to him .

Personally I'd prefer to will those out to my kids, those houses will be an asset in the city, the children can't go to the village, but to each their own.

I have seen a beautiful relationship ruin because of borrowing of money from one spouse to another....for me I rather give u anything that I have freely than borrowing u...in fact I don't borrow people money, even if u r my girlfriend I rather give you freely or I tell you I don't have that borrowing you due to my past experience.

Personally I give to her and never collect, the same way I do to guys, if you matter to me, I'll help you with no payback in mind.

I met this girl in the beginning of 2021 and our bond of friendship has grown strong since then. I never had the intention of dating her to start with, but as times goes on I found myself catching feelings.

I really do want to let my feelings known but I'm scared of rejection. Besides, this girl is like an anti-relationship activist. Most of the times her posts on WhatsApp is mostly against love and how she's not ready to get into relationship.
