TESTIMONY OF VICE PRESIDENT YEMI OSINBAJO, SAN, GCON, DURING A THANKSGIVING SERVICE HELD AT THE RCCG, CITY OF GRACE, LOKOJA, KOGI STATE, ON SUNDAY, 3RD FEBRUARY, 2019

On Friday, we went to (RCCG) camp; usually, I attend our Holy Ghost service. We came in very late from Akwa Ibom State. In fact, we arrived just in time for the grace at the end of the service.

Thereafter, our daddy in the Lord, (G.O) Pastor Adeboye, wanted to speak to me. He asked me how things were going on, the campaign activities and all that, and I explained everything; what I was doing on the campaign trail and all of that, some of the challenges.

He then said, I am going to pray for you. He said a prayer that turned out to be very interesting because usually, as you know, he doesn’t pray for long.

He said “Lord God Almighty, I want you to protect this man,” He said it three times and paused, then he continued. “You know how very dear he is to my heart. I want you to protect him.” I found it very funny that he repeated it several times and then he prayed for favour and other things.

So, when the crash happened, immediately it dawned on me that the Lord God had led him to say that very special prayer. And the Lord God Almighty delivered us in accordance with His word that, “even when 10,000 fall by our side, no harm whatsoever, will come near us.” I just want to thank the Almighty God for His grace and mercy that has been so abundant in my life and in all of our lives who are here.

(Earlier the VP had called up members of his entourage who were with him in the Chopper and who were in the church to join him at the altar.

They are: Labour Minister, Stephen Ocheni; & Mr. Femi Osinbajo, VP'S elder brother. He also called the names of Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser; & Ambassador Abdullahi Gwary, SSA Foreign Affairs/Protocol - although both of them were not in the service.

Others are Mr. Laolu Akande, the VP's Spokesman; Dr Biodun Adelowo, Personal Physician; Mr. Doyin Adetuberu, Security Officer; and Ayoola Oladunni, ADC).

This is my older brother, the same father, same mother. Our father passed on long ago, but our mother is alive. If both of us had lost our lives on the same day, that would have been an absolute tragedy, but God saved that from happening. We are truly grateful to the Almighty God and we bless the name of the Lord. And for all of you who are rejoicing with us today, your homes will be filled with rejoicing. You will not know tragedy, you will not know harm, all the days of your lives will be filled with rejoicing.”

PoliticsRe: 11 Reasons Why Atiku Will Lose In 2019 by reality1010: 11:13am On Dec 28, 2018
Slayer1914:
11 REASONS WHY ATIKU WILL LOSE IN 2019

1. PORT HARCOURT DOLLARS: He overspent on the PDP Primary in Port Harcourt, out of desperation. Spending between $9,000 and $12,000 per delegate was too much, some of that money should have been saved for the campaign proper. Also he entered into too many deals and political concessions in PH, in order to get the ticket, those deals are now coming back to haunt him.

2. PETER OBI: He made a big mistake in the way he chose Peter Obi as running mate. He didn’t consult widely, no wonder the Southeast Governors are not happy with him, and will very likely betray him. Even if he was still going to choose Obi, he should have at least made an effort to carry stakeholders along.

3. NO ABUJA MONEY: This is the first time the PDP is running a presidential campaign without access to Federal Funds. PDP campaigns in the past have always been done with Abuja money, not personal resources. A lot of people haven’t realised this yet, but when find out in January 2019 that money is not flowing like they thought, they will have second thoughts about Atiku.

4. CLOWNS: The Atiku campaign is being fronted by many of the same characters who led Goodluck Jonathan astray. Characters like Reno, FFK, Ben Bruce and Osita Chidoka. These are people who everything they touch goes bad.

5. TOO MANY LIES: The Lies are getting too much, another big sign of desperation. They lied that Peter Obi’s account was frozen, lied that Atiku called Lt Col Sakaba’s widow, lied that Nigeria has only 2 million cars, lied that Atiku employs 100,000 staff, lied that Atiku will pay his staff the new minimum wage. It’s like Atiku and Obi are now in a big competition to see who is the bigger liar. Soon they will tell us LYING is not CORRUPTION.

6. SOUTH WEST: The South West is not happy at all with PDP. The PDP has not treated the SW very well at all. The zone has been deprived of the party chairmanship which was originally zoned to it. It has also been deprived of Campaign DG and Party Spokesman. The previous holders of these two positions were from SW, but they were kicked aside. The highest ranking SW person in the Atiku campaign is Fayose, that’s how seriously Atiku rates Yoruba people.

7. NORTH: Atiku is not as popular as he would like you to believe in the North. His 8 years as VP did not convince anyone he had the interests of the masses of the North at heart. All he was interested in was amassing personal wealth, to expand a business empire that mostly benefits him alone. You can see that many PDP aspirants in the North are using PMB’s photo to campaign, instead of Atiku’s own. Many aspirants are ashamed of identifying with a candidate with such a strong local and international reputation of corruption.

8. CONFUSION: Out of desperation the Atiku campaign has appointed EIGHT spokespersons. This is a recipe for confusion, and the confusion has already started. You can already see the nonsense statements all the spokesmen are issuing, including the one that claims Buhari owns Keystone Bank, when in actual fact it is Atiku and his in-laws who own it.

9. NO UNITY: There are too many strange bedfellows in the Atiku Campaign, and there is nothing central to unite all of them. At least you can say APC is united by the belief in PMB and his vision for Nigeria. Nothing like that to unite people behind Atiku, apart from the belief in quick money and access to public resources. And everyone knows that money is not a good binding agent; it will divide more than it can unite.

10. FAILED PLAN: The Atiku Plan was an instant flop. It showed that all the time they went to spend in Dubai writing it was a waste. They must have been focused on other things in Dubai, maybe the lies and fake news strategy they have been trying to roll out. The only thing people can remember from the Atiku Plan is that Atiku wants to sell NNPC to his cronies (the same way he sold things when he was VP), and that all his plans are 6-year plans, there is nothing he intends to achieve in 4 years.

11. SOUTH EAST: Atiku is seriously banking on the Southeast to win the 2019 election. Another sign of the bad judgement that Obasanjo has talked about in the past. Yet his (Atiku’s) base in the region is smaller than GEJ’s base in 2015. A lot of Igbos have had their eyes opened, and are seeing all the infrastructure work PMB is doing in the SE. PMB will get more votes from the region in 2019 than he did in 2015.
OP, Your number 2 Reason is worng and ur false imagination. Obi is fully backed by his people and Igbos are not people that betray others or their people the way other tribes do.
PoliticsRe: Family Disagrees Over Report On Cause Of Alex Badeh's Death by reality1010: 11:13am On Dec 28, 2018
PizzleGold:
Family of the slain former chief of defence staff, Air Vice Marshal, Alex Badeh, has denied report on the cause of the death of their son - Badeh was killed on his farm in Nassarawa on December 18. One of the suspected killers of Badeh had on Thursday, December 27, confessed that the former chief of defence staff was killed to rob him of huge sums of money The family of late former Chief of Defence Staff, Air Vice Marshal, Alex Badeh, has refuted claims by the suspects linked to their son's death that they killed him to seize alleged huge sums of money he had on him to buy farmland.

Vanguard reports that the family on Thursday, December 27, insisted that contrary to the claim, Badeh did not discuss any issue about the acquisition of land neither was he with up to N500 on the day he was killed.

A source gathered that this came as police authorities failed on Thursday, December 27, to parade five suspects, including two masterminds of the December 18 killing of Badeh.

The five suspects who the media expected would be paraded at Force Headquarters, Abuja, were not paraded as the police said doing so would jeopardize ongoing investigation and efforts to arrest other members of the gang still at large. The newspaper reports that the family said the claim was a “cook-up story to deceive the public and hide the killers and their intentions.” It was gathered that the family called the newspaper to the late Chief of Air Staff’s Abuja residence, to react to the claim by the suspected killers that he was killed because of the huge amount of money he had carried to his farm in Panda Development Area of Nasarawa state to buy additional land. But while delegating only one member to speak, the family was said to have insisted that the name of the representative be kept in secrecy. Speaking, the family member said:

''We called you here because we have been following your report in Vanguard since our son and brother, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, was killed by yet-to-be identified people.

“We are not happy with the report being put out to the public there on the circumstances that led to his death. We as a family, believe that some people responsible for his death want to deceive the public by hiding the facts of what happened, how it happened and those responsible.

“I want to emphatically tell you here that contrary to the claim that he went to his farm on the fateful day with huge amount of money to buy additional farmland, there was nothing like that. In fact, he had no money on him that day, not even N500 in the vehicle.

“As I told you, no money, I repeat, no money was in that vehicle. Not even N500 was in that vehicle on that day he was killed. I repeat that no N500 not even N1000 was in that motor he drove that he was killed that day. “Before his death, a villager who knew he was on the farm that day went to meet him to get money to buy paracetamol tablet for his headache but my brother could not afford the money for him. ''Instead, he asked the person if he could go to Panda Market. When the man said he could, our brother told him to pick 10 mudus (measured quantity) of maize to sell in the market and buy drug for himself, saying that was the only help he could render to him since he had no cash to give out.

“He took time to narrate to the person that as he was talking to him, there was a huge refuse dump at his house in Abuja and the people responsible for packing it, that is the Abuja Environmental Protection Board, had refused to do so because he had no money to pay for the packing.

“He added that his cook and the cleaner in his house had not been paid, explaining further that those were the reasons he went to farm on that day to pick some bags of harvested maize, like 100 bags, to sell so as to raise money to settle those issues.

“Again, he told his workers on the farm that since they have blocked his pension, his only source of getting money, only three out of the eight working for him can remain as he wouldn’t have money to pay all the eight anymore.''

PoliticsRe: 8 Indicators Atiku Has Lost 2019 Presidential Election by reality1010: 6:05pm On Dec 09, 2018
netpro:
Here are the top 8 indicators that Atiku Abubakar the Presidential candidate of the PDP has already lost the 2019 Presidential election to President Mohammadu Buhari.

1. The DubaiPlan Was A Flop
Atiku landed from Dubai where he spent sometime with both local and foreign consultants including members of his Campaign Team crafting the document dobbed the AtikuPlan. PDP members were in high spirit and Nigerians sat back to be mesmerized, only for the Plan to end up being a failure. To start with, it was mainly about Selling most of the major National assets. Nigerians expect Power to return to the South in 2023, but Atiku landed from Dubai with a 6-years Plan. Figures were greatly exaggerated in the document. The Plan had nothing exciting, unique or exceptional - just the same old stuff. No new ideas in it.

2. Poor Handling Of The VP Pick
The regions for Atiku to pick a VP were obvious - it was either SW in order to slug it out with Buhari head long or SE if he wants to consolidate his base. SW already had the VP in the bag, so Atiku going for SE was a better option and everyone knew. But Atiku still messed that up - stakeholder were not carried along, party leadership barely had a say and to make matter worse, Atiku went solo - they all heard it in the News like everyone else. Guideline was not followed. The VP choice was not jointly unveiled. Needless to say there is suspicion and apprehension in the camp. Atiku has low rating on Trust, this does not help either.

3. No Excitement From Atiku Camp
Most fans and supporters rally around Atiku expecting that money will be shared and any time that does not happen disappointment sets in. Unlike President Buhari. Majority of Buhari's supporters already know he doesn't spray money. In fact everyone will be astonished if Buhari throws a penny. Has never done that. That is why he is loved. That is who he is. Yet has millions of supporters. The same can't be said about Atiku.

4. Inability To Split The Northern Votes By Half
If Atiku Abubakar gets anything less than 50% of the Northern Votes, the has lost the election. And from all permutations and analysis that seems impossible. President Buhari still enjoy majority of support from the Northern parts of Nigeria.

5. Buhari Is Making In-Road In Areas He Lost In 2015
The APC has made remarkable inroad to areas he lost in 2015. State like Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers are warming up to him. That implies more votes will be coming from the SE and SS than was achieved in 2015 and these are Atiku's current strongholds.

6. PDP Lack Federal Might And Power Of Incumbency - APC Has It
In many elections, these 2 factors have been tools for success in the hands of PDP. Opposition members were either restricted in Hotels, loyalty curried, results re-written, unused votes counted for the winner, oppositions party agents refused access, vote buying, thugs having free reign, etc were common occurance. Whether or not the APC will use these is to be seen, but one thing that is sure is that the PDP will not enjoy them for the first time since 1999.

7. 2023 Presidency Factor

One thing that is working against Atiku and will contribute to his defeat is the 2023 Factor. Those hoping to benefit from it are the SE and SW. Ironically, with Atiku playing his 6 years plan, voting for President Buhari is the only way the SE and SW have a clear shot at it. Currently the SE has it because it is a Legacy Issue, the need to resolve a political imbalance. But if the SE puts all her eggs in Atiku's basket and it fails, the SW will have the upper hand as they will be closer to power in Buhari's second term and can hope the North reciprocate the support when the time comes. Therefore we expect the SE votes will be a slit to solidify the quest for the 2023 Presidential ambition.

8. Atiku Is Not Jonathan
If Buhari wins majority of votes in the North, Atiku will lose the election as there is noway he (Atiku) will get 100% of the votes former President Jonathan got in 2015.

The odds are staked against Atiku. It will be a miracle for him to pull out a win 2019. With all that has been deployed against President Buhari not sticking, it is safe to say - Atiku is fighting a lost cause.

PoliticsRe: Opinion: Shouting Gandollar While Ignoring Obidollar/ObiNaira Is Hypocrisy by reality1010: 4:36pm On Nov 16, 2018
life2017:
It was reported by many media in 2009 that Peter Obi openly confessed to taken over 2million dollar bribe (over 350million naira)

Below is the report of Peter Obi admitting to collecting bribe from Contractors

http://saharareporters.com/2009/02/18/robinhood-how-i-spend-my-bribe-money-gov-obi-pm-news

if we are objective, we should be calling for prosecution of Peter Obi as a Confirmed Bribe Taker.

Open true confession by Peter Obi without any duress is a better form of evidence much stronger than video evidence which some people can argue to be fake even if it is definitely genuine. We can excuse Peter Obi in 2009 because he had immunity then and ended up winning his second term. Open voluntary confession to crime of over 2million dollars(350 million naira in 2009) does not equate to innocence. In an attempt to appear sanctimonious, Peter Obi indicted himself. All this bribe are product of inflated contracts

He want to be VP of Nigeria as a self confessed Bribe Taker. Maybe now he will use the Bribe for welfare of IDP. The day Peter Obi declare his interest to be VP is the day he made this his bribe issue a current one. Nobody should come and claim it is in the past because it happened 9 years ago. It is now a current issue because he want to be vice president of this country now.

EFCC and Buhari is a bit handicapped on Gandollar because he has immunity. Until he is impeached by Kano state House of assembly, EFCC can only investigate Ganduje (Gandollar) but can't prosecute.

Let prosecute Peter Obi now. He has no hurdles of immunity. He want to nationalised/institutionalised bribe taken as Vice President especially when he is the vice presidential candidates to a known bribe taker (Atiku) according to US congress committee investigation.

If we can't prosecute Obi or protest about it, we should just agree that we have accepted Bribe taking as our culture and stop shouting Gandollar.

There is no atom of objectivity in shouting Gandollar and ignoring Obidollar/Obinaira. The post is not justifying Gandollar. The post is only saying if Gandollar must be impeached, Peter Obi also need to be jailed or prosecuted.

Politics is driven more by sentiment than facts/objectivity no matter how educated anyone claim to be .That is the aim of this message. Those shouting Gandollar while ignoring Obidollar are equal in hypocrisy as those silent on Gandollar.

This is a highly contentious issue and being the election period, I hope its not a form of conspiracy to give the north some bold face on determining who has the voting strength to determine the country's future, all these agencies play their black sheep purposes in global affairs.
Now, to the data in itself, CIA is advised to provide parameters and their assumption as this is a very sensitive issue in Nigeria, they are coming for spoiler, now , that should stop.

The Nigeria population figure released after past censuses have been contested and the margin of errors provided hasn't been convincing so, its been a politically sensitive issue. Take the last census in which Kano state was rated as the most populous claiming over 9million alongside Lagos, that was a far cry from the initial estimate sampled by the Lagos State Government and it was believed Lagos had over 14million. Due to the importance of population in delineating representation in government, allocation of money and projects etc, its a highly contentious political issue.

There has been the cases of multiple counting and counting of aliens especially in the Northern fringe states bordering Niger and Chad. Now, that apart, if you were a businessman and need to sell stuffs in Nigeria looking at population distribution and purchasing power, I think looking at combining various available data, you can have a rough idea of what the population will look like.

If you ask me, I believe Nigeria is over estimating its population, I was at Northern Nigeria including Kano state, Katsina etc, been to rural areas and even at the time, could not fathom how Katsina State would be over 4million at the time or Kano 9 million residents, oh my, give me a break!
Nigeria I believe in 2018 will be hovering around 120-150million. All the current estimates are based on erroneous figures of past highly contested figures and that by implication affect all the segments of the data including ethnic figures.

Looking at the voice calls data, you can't overly rely on it but you can't dismiss it either.Internet usage, consumer volumes, energy consumption average per household, number of passengers in transit categories, number of children in schools, number of births in the hospitals, clinics etc are all reliable ways of estimating the number of people that may be and your error distribution can be high or low depending on how sure you are.

Yes, it is true that Hausa and Fulani in the North alongside many Muslims have very high birth rates(so also are people from other groups), I once saw the house of a man with 56 children somewhere in Katsina state but to use that as the basis for this overly wrong assumption or estimate by CIA is factually wrong! Additionally, lumping the Hausa/Fulani is a fraud, is either you fuse them or separate them, the population sheet should let people identify themselves as one.

Based on my estimate( a personal opinion) I feel the Hausa/Fulani combination excluding all the the Hausa speakers with different ethnic identification in the north, they will be like 26% and I feel the Yoruba will be like 22% while the Igbo will be like 19%. Among the other ethnic groups the Ibiobio- Efik family, the Tiv, Edo are of high population and then the Ijo family too but none can exceed 4%.

The day a good census will be conducted in Nigeria a lot of stuffs will be seen that will nullify long held assumptions.
U dnt need much from CIA.Everytin is clear. The population of females more than males.Huasas has more population than any other ethnic grp, followed by d Igbos and Yorubas.CIA is nt speaking of population in zones which of course place SW as second but d report is on individual ethnicity.

RockHard:
The only thing we have that is closest to an informed estimate of population spread are the telecoms data (attached below) because it is unbiased in any form, and it clearly shows the SE as the least populated while the SW is the single largest/most populated. Oyo and Ogun population alone are more than those of the SE combined (without including Lagos or Ekiti, Ondo, Osun or Kwara and Yoruba-speaking Kogi).
CIA is nt talking of geographical areas populated but individual ethnic population.Huasas lead followed by d Igbos and etc.Check out d numbers of Igbos in Lagos,Oyo Ogun,Kano,Kaduna,Abuja and compare them wt Yorubas not even mentioning SS states and SE states. Also d Huasas r spread evertwhere.Check out Huasas population in d above mentioned states.CIA is very right.

PoliticsRe: Ndigbo Settle For Atiku/Obi Ticket by reality1010: 9:57pm On Nov 14, 2018
Corrinthians:
Please Id like to ask a couple of questions.

- After the defeat of the preferred candidate of Ndigbo in 2015 presidential election, they rented the air and cyberspace with cries about Yorubas being "betrayers".

- Not done with calling them betrayers, they went on to call them "Hausa/Fulani slaves" because they chose to vote a Fulani man, Buhari, who triumphed over their preferred candidate.

Now..

1. What makes Yorubas betrayers for choosing to exercise their freedom of association? Did they cut any deal with the Ndigbo to support Jonathan? Who were the political leaders that made the deal with Ndigbo on behalf of Yorubas?

2. What makes Yorubas slaves? Since when did forming political alliances in furtherance and promotion of a people's collective interest amount to SLAVERY?

3. What did Yorubas do then which Ndigbo aren't doing now, especially with one of their sons chosen as the VP candidate same way a Yoruba son was picked by Buhari?

Lastly and most importantly..

How would Igbos feel if those same words they have been using to describe Yorubas since 2015 is now used to describe them?
ANSWER: Yorubas betrayed Jonathan. GEJ gave the Yorubas support to development their political dream by not tampering with what their leaders like Tinubu was doing in SW. GEJ refused to go the line of OBJ who as president fought percieved interests in the SW ad created crisis among its leaders. SW instead of giving GEJ same support betrayed him and joined PMB whom they had accused of high handedness against Yorubas in the 80s.
Presently, the big difference is that the Igbo people are after restructuring because whatever comes on restructuring will enable the zones to develop unlike the president or VP slot that u get for a maximum of 8 yrs. So support restructuring. WE all are going to task the Atiku/Obi govt to begin work on restructuring the country.

If you are cognizant with kaduna shi'tes and northern shi'tes in general, you would have known that they DON'T vote during any elections in Nigeria. I think this is their doctrine or something like that. They just constitute nuisance on major roads and are very fanatical about their beliefs. And let's even assume that the shi'tes are going to vote against El-rufai, he will still win the elections if liberal Muslims of kaduna vote for him. Fact!!!

Well I also believe you would have done the same thing if you were in El-rufai's shoes. Why should he waste his time on people who don't like him and will never like him no matter what? He is the governor of Kaduna state who was elected to work for his people. So why should he waste his time in trying to make some inconsequential folks like him?
i hope u will one day allow a christain/christain ticket one day?

This present Nigeria is trying to divide us,imagine an igbo guy in asaba claiming south south that he's not igbo..

The Yoruba tried to forced Edo into the Yoruba commonwealth nonsense, thank God it didn't work out..

Their plan is to divide different Edo and igboid clans into different region.

I was against Biafra before but I know the real enemies now.
This is a gud thread,d two need to work as one.D Bini ppl has gained nothing since d civil war which they played a vital part massacring d igbo. But at d end they v been abandoned.D Yorubas care for themselves and never care for the Bini ppl while d Huase fulani only use them for dirty jobs. The moment they realize d need to wrk wt d igbos others will value them and they will begin to get their shares in Nigeria.

Ambode has created food for PDP/IPOB Youths. Oya come and bash Ambode and APC and keep praising the same Peter Obi who after ruling for 8 years left one of the Filthiest, kidnappers haven and indebted state. If it wasn't for Obiano who he even tried to oust, Anambra would have remained a pigshyt of a state.
So come and lambast Ambode and praise Obi

I'm lost with words the attitude of majority of Yorubas. They rejoice at every evil act of this govt because they r benefiting from it.They laughed at Agatu killings, Tiv killings,Jos killings,Kaduna killings,IPOB killings and now Shiites killings. Their pretense of democracy and I will progressive is tribalistic. With this kind of attitude it becoming clear that people cannot trust they need to be told that human lives r more than mere political gain.

General Alani Akinrinade on Buhari's certificate:
........Buhari attended the Mons (Officer Cadet School in Aldershot in England) and the Staff College; I don’t want to think they have an idea what they teach in those places. And the rest of us pretend as if we don’t know what they do there. You send a man to America for one and a half years in a military school. Do they think he just went there to learn how to fire a rifle? No.
BUT WHY IS IT DIFFICULT FOR BUHARI TO PRODUCE THE ORIGINAL COPY OF HIS CERTIFICATE? He did. As I speak to you, I don’t know where my original certificate is because we gave the original to the Military Board. They took it from us when we applied to join the Army. You give the original copy of credential to the board. They take it and keep it in your file, that’s what happened. How many years ago? 50 years. And Nigeria with our (poor) record-keeping and filing things into an archive -if we have an archive at all; an archive inhabited by rats and cockroaches. I think it’s an insult. I take it as a personal insult......... .
Yorubas will always come out fast to side corruption acts and they will be the one to turn around accussing the Huasa man of corruption.Since the Army collected the original one and we dont v a good record keeping system, it means rats haves eaten it.So case close.

What else do u want from him? He was abroad later came into Nigeria, was arrested and jailed, later bailed, he continued his agitation, FG begs for negotiation he refused, SE governors begged for negotiation he refused, military invaded his house with python, he could not be killed, he s away still speaking and threatening. In Islam, what he has done is known as Hijra. Mohammed and other Islamic scholars even Utham Dan Fodio observed Hijra. That s if u r a moslem, but if u r not, watch out for him, the guy is so determined. The SE elites that tried to betray him could not succeed because Kanu has more masses support. unlike other places where the elites or one man will sell the other out. Ojukwu also had masses support even though some elites didnt want him. Aboila could v lived but the masses were controlled by the elites who sold him out.
