Burglars and Thieves vandalized my property at Ikorodu this year. Aluminium windows and outer burglary rails were carted away ( these stolen items cost up to 370,000 naira + ). fruit of the womb for me and wifey was not achieved ( 2023 will favour us ). I got a new job this year. Not Good, Not Bad sums up 2022 for me. |
Old layers is going for that price because it is really not nourishing meat again. After laying eggs for 12-15 months, the meat of old layers is not that tasty or nutritious. Some old layers are being sold for 3,500 naira in Lagos. Hmn. |
StriveHard:Yes, I heard same too. I am looking at cockerels because they are rugged and less infected with diseases and can eat roughages apart from the normal feed. How much are day old noilers sold for? Do you have an idea of the price? Thanks. |
I would have loved it if Kwankwaso was Obi's running mate, but kwankwaso did not know Obi will blow up like this. I think Labour Party and NNNP should have an alliance before the elections in February. Then Kwankwaso can join Labour Party if Obi wins and will be given a good position in LP. I stand with Obi. |
FreshFarmAgro:Thanks, Sir. I don't understand. Can you explain better? |
If you are in this kind of business, can you let us read about your experiences ? Which one pays better? Selling the cockerels of at 6 weeks or breeding them till maturity and selling them off? Can turkeys be bred in the same environment as cockerels? I am looking at breeding turkeys too and selling them off at 5-6 weeks old. I am not looking at breeding them to maturity. Please let me hear from you. Thanks.

Nairalanders, how are you? I need some advice from people on this forum. I want to take bold steps next year in my quest to become self employed. I have a facility that I want to use for poultry business. I believe it is the best business I can do for now. I am a teacher currently at a private secondary school in Ikorodu. I earn about 50,000 naira every month. I will post some pictures of the facility very soon. I believe I will do well in poultry farming because of my passion for it and because I grew up in a home where chickens were raised. Another reason is that that my not using the facility has led to the theft of the outer burglary of the place and some casement windows. I believe if I don't start doing something on the property, further thefts might occur. So, which one do you think is better? Breeding day old cockerels and selling them off at six weeks old ( I have experience in this kind of poultry ) or breeding the cockerels to full maturity and selling them. First Idea: rearing day old cockerels to 5-6 weeks and selling them off to people who will breed them to maturity. Second Idea: Breed the cockerels to full maturity and sell them off directly to consumers. I am also thinking of doing noilers on the side and breed them to sell at 6 weeks or to full maturity . I don't want to breed broilers. I have no interest in broilers. What do you think? Which option do you think I should follow? Thanks. Please let me hear from you, Nairalanders.

Indispensable85:The stadium was not empty o. People came later on and I have seen videos tonight that confirmed it. The main rally was done on the streets of Port Harcourt, and it was well attended . P-Square supporting Obi will push other south ern celebs to declare for Labour Party and Peter Obi/Datti. I want to see how the Southwest rallies for Obi/Datti will be like. |
The ANAP poll is a pointer that Obi will win in February without rigging by APC and PDP. CHEERS. |
VGlobal:Wow, I am learning o. Can wheat offal be used as a poultry feed ingredient during formulation? Thanks . |
priesthood13:Is it used to feed chickens or what? Can wheat offals also be used to feed chickens? Thanks . |
priesthood13:What is it used for? |
femisplash:Obi has not campaigned in the south west . His North Central campaigns were okay. He will still campaign in the North East and North West. Besides, Datti is doing underground campaigning for Obi in the North. Alliances between Labour Party and the Northern Elites are ongoing..... |
King Williams Children's Library held its inaugural Summer Library Project in August 2022. The Library was domiciled at the Redeemed Christian Church of God ( RCCG ), Safe Haven Assembly, Mowo Kekere, Off Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos. We attended to more than 150 kids during the three weeks of operation. The library was open from 9.30 AM to 3.30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Our beneficiaries were able to access story books, picture books, comics, graphic novels, Cartoon DVDs etc. They borrowed materials and returned them after 7 days for a very small fee. King Williams Children's Library ( KWCL ) also organized a Spelling Bee which was well attended by children and teenagers in the Mowo Kekere area of Ikorodu, Lagos State. We also had story telling time any day the library was opened. The kids absolutely loved our story teller and his exciting stories. We hope to have a more successful Summer Library event in 2023. Here are some pictures of the 2022 edition of Summer Library Project. Our website is UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Call or Whatsapp the library on 07049598500. Thanks.

We need this thread to be pushed to the front page of nairaland. This is when many nairalanders and visitors to the site will be able to come across it and comment on it. Try and see if you can sell your products on Alibaba.com. We need our own b2b websites. At least two of them in Nigeria. It will be hardwork though . |
Onewazobia:Check out www.alibaba.com Check out www.indiamart.com Check out www.globalsources.com It won't be an easy project but I believe Nigerians can build b2b websites like the ones above. With platforms like Paystack.com, Flutterwave.com etc, foreigners will be able to pay for crops directly to Nigerian farmers without fear of losing their money to fraudsters and yahoo boys. We can even bring in VISA and Mastercard into the project. When we have our own b2b website like the ones above, global payment systems like Paypal will approach the founders of the websites for alliances. Jiji.com is a b2c platform not a b2b platform for large scale transactions. Cheers. |
Realists:We are not planting enough food and cash crops in Nigeria. Many fertile lands in Nigeria are currently left uncultivated. More Nigerians need to embrace ginger farming. When there is enough Ginger being cultivated locally, the price of ginger locally will be affordable. Garri is still cheap in inner towns and villages in southern Nigeria . This is because many people are still cultivating Cassava in these areas. We must all embrace farming. I planted Sorghum on my plot of land in Ikorodu and it germinated. I was really impressed that Guinea Corn can be cultivated in Yorubaland. I want to find land to lease ( 20 acres at least ) and cultivate Guinea Corn and Millet in South-West Nigeria in 2023. I am thinking of Oyo State or Ogun State for the project. I want to go into Agriculture in 2023. |
King Williams Children's Library ( KWCL ) News Bulletin. Hello, how are you. King Williams Library held its first Summer Library Project for four weeks in August 2022. The venue of the event was the Redeemed Christian Church of God ( RCCG ), Safe Haven Assembly, Mowo Kekere, off Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos. It was three weeks of children being allowed to borrow books and DVDs for a week at very low prices. We also held a Spelling Bee Contest which generated a lot of interest among families in the area and in the church. The Spelling Bee was well attended and prizes were given to the winners. Children also borrowed lots of books and thronged the venue of the library daily. The library ran from 9.00 AM to 3.30 PM every day ( Monday to Friday ). KWCL is planning towards a more successful summer library project in 2023. With your support, we know we can cover more areas of Ikorodu and Lagos State. Please find below pictures of our 2022 Summer Library Project .One Book A Day Keeps Ignorance Away. Call/Whatsapp us on 07049598500 for more information about our activities. Thanks.

Mrsoft3:Well said. Nigeria also needs its own wholesale b2b website like Alibaba or India Mart. Buyers in Europe, Asia, other parts of Africa etc can then buy directly from Nigerian farmers through this website. |
If you are reading this, go and get your PVC and vote for Labour/Peter Obi. Otherwise, you will end up with Tinubu or Atiku. Obi is not a saint but we can start a new Nigeria by voting him into power. |
Let us have data and figures that show the profitability of the BRT project in Lagos State, dear Emilokans. Amala politics won't excite me . I am yet to see how Lagos has been really developed by Tinubu. Does Lagos State even have a public library system? |

Obi is a southerner too. You dumb, Yoruba Man. You want to force a sick man down our throats. A man who will be taking care of his health if he wins the elections. You are not a very intelligent person, so to speak. We want an inclusive government. Emilokan ambition is not good for Nigeria at this period. Buhari ambition without solid plans has taken the naira from 250 naira to a dollar to 770 naira to a dollar. Are you not tired? On Obi/Datti we stand . |
baretalk:Tinubu is not fit for the throne in Aso Rock, you should know. You are the one that is stupid. You think any serious thinking PDP supporter in the south will vote a Northerner into power after 8 years of Buhari presidency? The south South will vote PDP for Governors but LP/Obi for President. Same for South East. There is even a PDP for Peter Obi Movement operating in the south east and south South now. Realistically, Atiku is a miscalculation by PDP for the 2023 elections. |
EndsarsReloaded:They will never accept the result of this poll. Even though it is a physical one. The truth is that Obi stands a good chance of winning the presidential elections. The Muslim - Muslim ticket by APC worked in Kaduna but won't fly nationally for so many reasons. Lagos State will vote Labour without tinubu thugs scattering things on election day. In the south east and south South, if there is a 70% voters turn out on election day, APC would lose the battle by 2pm that day. On Peter Obi we stand. |
Obi needs the numbers. So if he can get 150,000 + votes from southern Kaduna, it will add up to his overall votes across Nigeria. Obi needs all the votes he can muster to defeat Tinubu and Atiku . A Obi Presidency is possible . |
This French team is better than Argentina in all departments. Underestimate France at your own peril. Even with the flu, France will play well tomorrow. Cheers. |
kelmicheal:It is a game of numbers. Many Nigerians are going to vote in this election. Peter Obi needs the numbers ( huge turnout of Obidients) at the polls. The way I see it, many PDP voters in the south will vote for Peter Obi. Christian youths all over Nigeria will also vote for Obi, irrespective of their states of origin. Obi can win this election. He needs to do some coded meetings with the Christian community in all states of Nigeria all through January. Obi must make pledges with Muslim villagers in the North. I need to email Peter Obi privately. He can win the elections in February 2023. |
Hmm. Obidients, we have a lot of work to do. We all have to come out and vote in the Presidential elections in February. Winning Kaduna and Lagos is possible. We just need to mobilize ourselves. And those south South states allotted to Atiku should be won by Obi naturally. Labour Party and Obi-Datti must win so that we can save this country. Cheers. |
Fumiex:No accommodation. You have to live in Ikorodu, Lagos to do this job. Thanks. |
mosho2good:Hello, Mosho2good, I started out just like you. I was paid 25,000 Naira monthly as a Primary School teacher a year ago. I did not mind the salary , but I made sure I spent a year at that Primary in order to have practical experience in teaching. I don't even have a degree in Education or an NCE qualification. I have a B.A degree from a federal university in Nigeria. I made sure I learnt how to write lesson notes and manage attendance registers. I learnt how to teach different subjects at primary school level. I learnt how to set exam questions , lead assemblies etc. Now, I teach in a Secondary school and I earn very close to 60,000 naira ( in less than 2 years ). I am still on a journey to earning more money at top rated schools. What you need to do is to develop yourself by taking courses online that have to do with education. Spend small money and go on Alison.com, future learn.com and Coursera.com and get extra qualifications from real foreign universities. This certificates will help you get jobs at big schools in Ikeja, Lekki, Surulere, Ikoyi, Victoria Island etc. Learn how to teach subjects like Fine Art, CCA, Music, Yoruba etc and become a Part TIME teacher with schools in your area . This will help you earn more money, you know. You can apprentice yourself to graphic design and fine arts artisans in your area to get some skills. You can use teaching jobs to step up your status in life. Just know what you are doing. |
Alliswell73:Hi, have you gotten the job now? If you have not, let me advice you. Go into teaching. Teaching jobs are more easier to get these days because many people do not want to be teachers. And there are few good teachers around these days. Look for teaching jobs in primary schools in your area. Don't worry about the money you will be paid. Just get the experience teaching in a primary school for a year. As soon as you get a teaching job in a private primary school ( don't settle for less than 30K a month ), try and go online to future Learn, Alison or Coursera . Do free Education and Psychology Courses online and get Certificates. These courses run from 2 weeks to 3 Months. Do courses on child psychology, learning methods etc. After one year, start applying for jobs in top schools in Lekki and Ikeja. Schools that can pay up to 130,000 naira to 200,000 naira. Include the certificates you have gotten with your application . If you do the above, you will get very good teaching jobs . Make sure you develop yourself by mastering how to teach all primary school subjects or up to eight secondary school subjects. Read widely. You can ignore my advice if you don't want to be a teacher. Stay Blessed. |
