This is very bad. Can't the Alumni of Awo Hall do something about the condition of the Hall? I believe OAU has made graduates who lived in this hall while they were studying at the University and who are now very successful in their careers. Can't they come together, pool funds and resources together and renovate this Hall and others in the Institution? This is very bad ![]() |
Elderson Echiejile is not Igbo. He is from Edo State. Cheers. |
So how about Yul Edochie of the Democratic People's Congress ? Are you saying this 35 Year Old Actor cannot become the Governor of Anambra State? Yul Edochie and the DPC should make a big impact in the coming Gubernatorial Election in Anambra State. I am supporting Yul Edochie. I hope he campaigns fiercely in all the Local Governments of the State and make his Plans for the State known to the Youths. Up Yul Edochie ![]() Up DPC ![]() Anambra 2017. |
zinaunreal:And that country you are running to, my brother , what will be your story when you have lived there for 10 years or more? Have you not realized that things are not rosy as they were in Europe and North America in the 90's? Stop calling Nigeria a Hell Hole. There are Nigerians who are living in HELL in the countries they ran to all in the name of living ABROAD. I live in a Western country and I know what people go through here. You have to be Industrious to accomplish anything in Europe and North America. Cheers. |
But there is nothing wrong with the letter. I am really happy that our Native Doctors can now write letters in meaningful English. I don't believe there is anything wrong with Native medicine as long as it is not being used to harm other People. We should be proud of our herbs and plants and traditional way of curing diseases. All these western drugs are not 100% effective and many of them have side effects that are not that good for our body. All these Priests in the shrines should desist from blood money rituals and concentrate on developing Native Plant Syrups that will cure diseases and ailments. Bitter leaf is effective in curing many intestinal ailments and afflictions. Cheers ![]() |

How is it expensive, my brother? We should be thinking of long term investments instead of selling imported things like Perfumes, clothes, shoes etc. Some of these Food Production Machines are cheap if you can save up the money. And some of them don't require electricity or they are manually operated. Even if you buy a Generator to use them, you will end up making more profit in the long run. Be Patient and Save to go into Food Production. Cheers. |
You can't go wrong with food production business. People will EAT. So sit down and think of small food production machinery that you can import without stress and start making things like Biscuits, Ice Cream, Smoothies, Plantain Chips, Coconut chips ( Source your Coconuts and Plantain from Farming communities in Nigeria. You will get them cheaper that way ). Use your brain Cheers. |
Get any job if you can't get a office job. Save up for some months. Import small machinery that you can use to start small food products businesses that will set you on the way to becoming a Industrialist like Dangote. You can start Plantain Chips business. The sealing machine for the plastic bag that will contain your plantain chips is on all these China sites. You can use these Chinese sites to start a small Snacks production company. It is not about importing cosmetics, clothes, shoes all the time. There are small machinery on Indian and Chinese sites that you can import, stay in your house and use these machines to start a small factory in a shed in your backyard producing fast moving food products like Chin Chin, Plantain Chips, Bar Soap etc. Think outside the Box. Cheers. |
Ok. Can someone tell me how much this N-Power amount is monthly? How much are the 'lucky' ones paid monthly? Thanks. |
Hmn. I have read so many comments here. Let me be honest with you all. I started going to church at a very early age ( White Garment church ) but I have never felt or saw it as a big deal. It was just a normal thing for me and I did not feel any different after those services. I have also attended Pentecostal Churches as an adult ( RCCG and MFM ) and I still feel the same as I have always felt since my childhood. Something just tells me that there is a disconnect between what Modern Christianity is offering us and what true Christianity really is. I can't point a finger to what the problem is but I feel the problem with Nigeria is that Religion is affecting the PRODUCTIVITY of Nigerians. People want Miracles without working hard to achieve things. People are not thinking deeply to solve their problems and are not willing to do any job to raise the Capital to launch their businesses. Pastors, Imams and Men of God should not be the Superstars that they are viewed as today. They should be modest and really focus on seeing to the welfare of their members with the money realized from tithes and offerings. Let the church be beautiful but modest and not extravagant. I am not just into Religion anymore. I just want to make the best out of my life, help other people achieve their dreams and leave a legacy for my descendants. Cheers. |
But why is RCCG getting more involved in Politics these days? I don't like this at all. Call it what you want, but this visit by Theresa May to RCCG is to get the backing of Black Christians in London who traditionally support the Labour Party. It might have worked in swinging the numbers for David Cameron in 2015, but Theresa May is not David Cameron. They are poles apart when it comes to Intelligence and Personality. The other day, a local RCCG Parish in Birmingham, UK was organizing a debate for contestants in the local elections |
All what Nigeria needs is just a 'Crazy' but very visionary Postmaster General who will turn the fortunes of NIPOST around without caring whose ox is gored. A Postmaster General that will not hesitate to sack lazy NIPOST workers and replace them with young and hardworking Nigerians who are ready to work and get parcels to Nigerians in their homes. A Postmaster General who will assess all the Post Offices and Postal Agencies in the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, look at the number of vehicles available and start working out how to make the Parastatal profitable without caring who is unhappy with his actions. We are living in a world of international trade where it is possible to buy things online from companies based in different countries of the world. All NIPOST needs to do is to key into this global trade in products and find a way to convince Nigerians to pay some amount of money for their parcels, packages and orders to be delivered to them in their homes. People who have cars can be employed by NIPOST to work as Parcel Delivery Agents on Saturdays and Sundays. NIPOST is leaving so much money on the table that remains to be claimed. Biko, God give our rulers brains to think. Amen. |
Can somebody tell me what this Buhari Administration has really achieved concerning its 2015 election promises ? And what is this government doing with the looted cash that is being recovered? Why can't this government start looking for ways to keep jobless Nigerians gainfully employed rather than doling out stipends to them every month? NIPOST alone is capable of employing up to 200,000 Nigerians with its network of Branches all over Nigeria. With e-commerce growing in Nigeria and people buying things from online stores in Europe, Asia, America, Canada etc, NIPOST can really become a Multi Billion dollars business by making sure Nigerians receive their Parcels and Orders in their homes no matter where they order them from for a small fee. No matter what people say, this APC Government is very clueless and lethargic in its approach to developing Nigeria. |
I believe Orji Uzor Kalu should be contacted concerning this Issue. He will take up the matter quickly. |
Please, go out and join the protest. Spare some hours today for the protest and go out there and vent your anger. Cheers. Those that are protesting are not idiots. Cheers. |
Some comments on this thread have shown a good number of Nigerians are still not ready to take control of their destinies. I weep for Nigerian youths. As long as they are comfortable in their 30,000 Naira - 100, 000 Naira jobs, they will allow a bunch of old bats to keep deciding the affairs of Nigeria. Na wa o. |
noeloge82:are you saying she is lying? she said it is the first job she is doing in 2017. Does she have to post pictures of all the jobs she has done in the past on nairaland? The truth is that there is money to be made in construction work and other hand jobs with the right connections. Even in Nigeria, there are opportunities for those who can work hard. Maybe because she is a female plasterer, she is being favoured by those who awarded her the contracts. Cheers. |
@poster, you have all what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur. If you can do all those things you have mentioned, you can start your own company and do well in life. Dont be afraid of starting a small business even if you get another job. stay blessed. |
Daddy Showkey might have investments which many people might not be aware of. I don't think he will be that stupid not to have invested his money in some ventures. He lives in Omole Estate, so how is he poor? People should think before commenting on Nairaland. |
10 years down the line, many of those that are talking about online cartoon blogs will not be in business again. People just think every business will succeed online. Traditional publishing is still very relevant and it usually complements web publishing. It is only in Nigeria that I see people thinking of starting cartoon publishing on the web straightaway.the problem we are having is that many youths are not ready to do the hard work of marketing their publications or magazines in a unique way. Distribution can be done in a unique way. It is not always about the vendor all the time. You can create your own chain of distribution by approaching supermarkets, shops, chemists, hairdressers, fast food outlets on your own. Cheers. |
Why are you not considering publishing a cartoon magazine instead? Or do you believe publishing is not profitable again? You can start with 1000 copies and with good advertising and marketing, you can really make money right from the third edition of the magazine. |
Buhari and the APC will do all it takes to win the Ondo State Gubernatorial election. Buhari knows once Ondo State is won by the APC, his chances of re-election in 2019 will remain bright. One thing I know is that the South West still remains the key battleground towards the 2019 Presidential Elections. Cheers. |
Ok thanks for the information. Cheers habax: |
I did not see Olaseni 'Shane' Lawal on the court during the game. Where was he ? We lost the game against Lithuania in the 3rd Quarter. Why did we stop banging in 3 Pointers in the 3rd quarter? This was a game we should have won hands down. This D'Tigers team is good enough to qualify from their group. Where was Olaseni Lawal last night? |
It may sound stupid and foolish, but the OP should walk around his Poultry and pray hard, soaking the Poultry in the blood of Jesus and praying that place will be free from Snakes and other creatures ( Including Man ) that consume or steal his Chickens. Prayer works in every circumstance. Cheers . |
It is going to be Nuhu Ribadu/Ngozi Okonjo Iweala for 2019 ( PDP ). Good Morning ![]() |
Saheed69:Sorry to burst your bubble, my brother. Hausa-Fulani People engaged in athletics in the 80's. Does the name Yohanna Waziri ring a bell? Waziri was the Marathon Race Champion in Nigeria for many years and he was a Northerner. The Northerners are suitable as long distance runners, like the Kenyans and Ethiopians. Cheers. |
For those who are genuine in their tithe payment and offerings, God releases his blessings on them. Just do what you have to do and don't worry too much about what is done with the money you pay in. I am favoured and I know it. Cheers. |
Ah, my boys still have a lot of work to do o ![]() Argentina has a very good basketball team and France is not a push over either. Just look at the margins the two countries defeated D'Tigers with . Will Voigt needs to come up with a Master Plan that will ensure that Nigeria does not end up playing classification matches at the Olympics this year. Cheers. |
LordofNairaland:No, Mate. The story about the Madman is about a character called Simaroke. Simaroke was the Mad Man but I can't remember the author and name of the novel. Cheers. |
There is nothing wrong with having the name 'Jacob' or any other name like that. What matters is how the Person bearing the name reacts to it. The names our Parents gave us have deep meanings though, but I prefer traditional names to the current Pseudo-Christian names we are giving our children these days. Names like Titilayo, Funmilayo, Adeleke, Oluwole, Diekolola, Abayomi, Olugebenga, Adewale, Babajide, Olajide, Olajire, Adejare etc are good names. The Jews who dominate the world when it comes to Business and Innovation hardly forsake their culture or change their traditional names during naming ceremonies. Same with the Japanese and Chinese People. These days People are not even using Kolanuts, Salt, Palm Oil etc at naming ceremonies again. Using these items at naming ceremonies does not mean you are a devilish person or family etc. God gave us Salt,Palm Oil, Kolanuts for reasons that are good. Let me stop here. Cheers. |
