... God Bless America.... my Disneyland.... ![]() Just read: '....10 billion rounds of ammunition is manufactured in the US every year. Which is enough to pump 32 rounds into every man, woman and child.....' Or I would say, enough to put a bullet in the head of every humanoid on the face of the earth.... And that means they make a crazeee 27 million rounds of ammo every blessed day..... for what kwa... or over 300 rounds per second day and night, summer and winter.... gaddem..... even hotdogs aren't that hot..... what da.... f.... crazy Yanks.... |
The Church erred in broadcasting this. If they plan to continue in service without armed security 24/7 then they only advertise themselves for more abductions. And the State will have no pity because ransom payment is against the law these days. Whether we like it or not paying ransoms publicly does not help particularly in a weak State and collapsing economy. |
Way ahead in what. That you are leaving a better country than you met it. Not your fault. If only folks can find the light switch in darkness and tailor their actions to meet with their expectations. After reinforcing failure in 2019 then now want to bury themselves with a continuum. So sorry for Nigeria. In saner climes even a circus party will win by a landslide. |
Meaning that if he does not select his successor he will not provide 'strong leadership'... aka will be completely aloof in the general elections.... aka his party will be hung out to dry.... |
Just give everyone guns damnit.... just hand them out like candy.... ![]() |
Absolutely disgusting.... totally reprehensible. Rivers State should be on fire by now.... and those long suffering citizens trodden underfoot should charge for the gates of State House. |
Malory:.... and Antarctica, to visit the found ship of Shackleton... |
How can you award bail again to someone who supposedly jumped bail once. The Judiciary is not helping the war against corruption and doing little to uplift its image as a cornerstone of the criminal justice system that has taken repeated hits as being in cahoots with anti-social elements. |
Buddha3:Not really interested in all these undemocratic practices called primaries but the fact is clear, while Atiku never said a bad word against Tambuwal in the run up, Wike was all out bashing Obi, the leading south eastern candidate and even retorted in glee after Obi left... Clearly Obi will have taken some votes off all the other candidates so wouldn't it have been wisdom to do a Tambuwal with Obi, one stepping down for the other in response to Atiku's chessboard move. But when you burn all your bridges... Now here he is talking about southern second fiddle when it is clear the strength of the north lies in their solidarity, vision and sacrifice for one another... values alien to the much more greedy, conceited pretenders littering the south. Just a pity you too have been sucked into the mire of racial bile against the east who are only fighting for equity and justice. For heaven's sake the south west and south south have ruled in this dispensation both by popular agitation from June 12 and the Niger-Delta upheavals respectively. Why is that of the south east wrong. |

Ghoxt:Because Nigeria is not a serious country. Even in the most liberal of western nations court appearances by accused government officials is never Disneyland. The only folks you see smiling in the docks are psychopaths and serial killers. Our criminal justice system has a long, long way to go. Presently it is not helping Nigeria. |
The stocks have become a country club for these villains calling themselves leaders. If there were serious penalties for graft I don't think he would be this cheery. |
Of course they are in disarray because they know they cannot win the general elections on the back of present performance so they run helter-skelter seeking a candidate that will whip up the primordial sentiment resident in the DNA of the average failed citizen. Never seen a ruling party and an incumbent government this jittery about a coming election. |
Nigeria will never, ever move forward. It is clear. |
All those folks that were justifying the mindless borrowings will all have eggs on their faces. |
Onyenna:Throughout the world criminals will always get guns. That is why they are called outlaws, the stand outside the law and the right wing argument in the US is that potential victims should be equally armed. The argument on both sides is genuine and will last another thousand years. |
Such a pity. I commensurate with her loved ones. I cannot claim to be in her shoes but I believe no single challenge or the complexities of life is worth taking ones life. Folks do not realise and often underestimate what the church and a life of faith in Christ does for all humanity and for this country in particular. For under the banner of the gospel of peace, hope and love millions find succor and learn to put up with this grueling and torrid life we live in Nigeria. One can only imagine the stats, probably multiple times the number of suicides, crime incidents and other anti-social vices that will have pervaded the land. But the funny thing is that the banner that the Christian faith provides has also been abused by all those in the camp of the causatives, those who have ganged up to make our lives a living hell but pretend to be sheep and so cannot be chased out the temple of God as abusers of God's Holy temple and wolves and devourers of God's precious people. And this inability to separate the affairs of church and State in the minds of citizens has dampened the influence of the Church to building social justice and being a real, solid agent for good in the wider context of life in Nigeria. Till that last puzzle is found more lives will continue to be lost needlessly. Such a pity. |
Basicend:This is the lot of the average Nigerian. So convoluted, twisted and confused... like being detained by an octopus... and all the time smiling.... Isn't it wise to change the 'game' if you want to be free of eating while closing your nose to the stench. How will your conscience let you support and empower with your votes what you know is bad for your health. What kind of democracy is this.... |
I can see our youth out here are busy with their vile, racist, sectional pseudo political arithmetic on what they think is democracy.... such a pity. |
Angelfrost:Serbia and Turkey. Soccer there is a gathering of cultists, white supremacists and ultras. There they don't care if you are a million pound a week player, referee or coach. If you 'mess up' you will need an armored personnel carrier to get to the next match. |
Be waiting nau. Did he promise you anything. You exchange money for goods and services in the name of trade. If one of either does not move in the opposite direction it is called fraud..... what do you call an exchange of votes for democratic dividends where there are no receipts after 7 years..... Nigerians are not serious people. |
Skyview01:Who is forcing you to write exam, to qualify for what? And to say you do not like the available options means you have not studied well in the first place. So instead of writing the examination I suggest you forsake it and return to your books. What is the rush into 2023 unprepared and do elections for election sake.... only to go an empower and validate a setback. Do you realise just how much damage these so called leaders are doing to Nigeria. Is it because we love to manage to death.... literaly. Which citizens of any reasonable country will take what we do without serious repercussions on the country. |
BafanaBafana:So you see. Nobody likes 'them'.... but they keep on putting themselves there and on election day 10, 15 million people will vote for so called leaders THEY DO NOT LIKE.... how does this happen?.... only in Nigeria.... is this democracy? |
Skyview01:Once again. Hope our views are vindicated when we continue to say, that without restructuring our democracy here in Nigeria will always be one where the undesirable will become the necessary. Call it what you wish, rotation or no rotation, affirmative action or majority rule, whatever system is played to appease the citizens, we will still end up with bad leadership. And the great thing about it is that wise minds will know that these folks nominated for elections are no good but we will all be forced to drink from the cup. Just look at where the PDP ended up.... just terrible, but look at where the APC is headed.... and equally horrible place such that on election day it will be a choice between the proverbial 'devil and the deep sea'. A people not ready to collectively agree to set the ground rules of democracy among many things aka restructuring, will never have their real-hearted choice rule over them and will continue to swallow the psychological bile of knowing these guys will misrule them, but alas they are too weak and divided to challenge the status quo. When people shout all over the place, go get your PVC and stop being an online troll. I just ask. Get your PVC to vote who.... or what? How can I vote for whom I CLEARLY KNOW WILL MAKE MY LIFE WORSE AFTER 4 OR 8 YEARS. If I visit a diner and cannot find what is on the menu, why should I be forced to eat what my body rejects.... except if I am starved onto death. It is only a weak and famished citizenry, weakened by their own divisions that accepts to collect a PVC and stand in line to vote for what will 'purge their lives'. For me it is a total waste of time. |
BigDawsNet:OX should leave..... agreed. We need full-time replacement for Arnold... someone trusted like tsimikas..... are you joking. If he did not play yesterday and they still lost, the Kopp will skin Klopp alive. The problem is not Arnold. He is a fantastic player. The problem is controlling him, knowing his strengths and limitations and using him when and where appropriate aka tactics. We need a replacement for Salah... someone to give him rest... we lack that towards the final... Madrid was able to rest majority of their player giving them a stronger team... totally disagree. Liverpool is already overloaded with forwards. His form yesterday was just down to the number of games he played in chasing the quad and esp in an Afcon year. What liverpool lacks is a highly competent attacking midfielder to make that 'killer pass' and take away the 'drving load' the trio of Salah, Mane and Diaz undertake every match. Those guys work too hard for the team, and cover far too much ground as forwards while the present midfield hardly makes any forward runs or passes, always side to side and expecting the forwards to run to the box and through a hailstorm of defenders. You do that for 60 matches and your gasket blows, simple.... Van Nistelrooy will never accept that nonsense. |
BigDawsNet:I am not too sure Matip will have made a difference last night. Konate played very, very well and won most of his tackles. The goal came typically from a Trent loss of focus for a split second. The shot was taken from far wider than where Konate should be and even Matip should not be found there when that ball came over to Vini. The loss was just down to tactical errors. Since Real conceded all those match goals against PSG, Chelsea and even City, Klopp thought he could easily outscore them in a game without a 'return leg'. But the saying that 'defences win trophies' came to the fore. And this truism holds for those who have been in the business long enough.... longer than Klopp and the experience of the old, wily Ancelotti clearly showed yesterday. There was no match winner in all of Liverpool's squad yesterday. It was a game for the gaffers. |
Martinez39s:But that is the fundamental strength of the Liverpool game, flying wingbacks since Pool doesn't have a capable midfield in the mould of a Luka or a Kroos but Klopp should have seen what Madrid did to more attacking teams and understood that this version was more defensively capable than the one he faced in 2018 and tactically strikes back like a mamba, swift and without notice. The idea that Real Madrid is soft at the back has been a fallacy all season and all the teams in the UCL fell for it moving forward in droves while leaving the kitchen door unlocked. Liverpool's next season buys must include a midfield 'general', the trio of Hendersson, Fabinho and particularly Thiago has proven insufficient at the highest levels. Kudos to Pool they were there on all fronts all season long, perhaps they played far too many games and proving that the quadruple is near impossible to achieve. |
kelmicheal:If you saw me where I sat screaming..... take your corners short, taken them short....!!!! They were just tactically poor tonight. Learnt nothing from the other teams before them that Madrid sent packing. |
Was it not just like yesterday that Real won the much vaunted 'La Decima'. In a flash the have added four more 'big ears' to their trophy cabinet while some of Europe's moneybag clubs, great dynasties where iconic names ply their trades have not even dreamt of a medal. Truly Real Madrid is the greatest football club ever and one of the most successful sporting brands of all time. A very well run club that has the UEFA Champions League interwoven into their DNA. |
Liverpool looked jaded from the start, build up play terribly slow and the players looked uncharacteristically nervous for most parts. After a grueling end to the season, this was just a bridge too far, not helped by Klopp's poor tactics. |
Elections are useless in this country. Democracy is dysfunctional and cannot move this country forward or bring the average Nigerian out of the pit of despair. 23 years and six general elections and not a single index of life and living has improved, instead the country sinks ever more into the mire. Without restructuring your PVC is no better than a 'whot' card, a tool for the gambler or Saturday afternoon village entertainment. |
And I hope they do not mess up the velodrome and vandalise the sparse sporting facilities available in the FCT. |
