Angelfrost:They are simply not smart and are poor students of history. |
Radiation of any kind is potentially harmful but it is all a factor of strength and duration. How powerful is the transmitter. What kind of radiation is it emitting. How long are you potentially exposed to it. |
azpekuliar:Hahahaha.... the white elephants responsible for rampaging national debts and the whole scale extinction of the Naira.... Said it countless times. 1. Government has no business in business. 2. Government has no business investing in enterprises. 3. The so called infrastructure should have ended with the rail lines and perhaps the train stations, signalling, etc just like government's involvement in air travel ends at the airports. We have seen what has happened to their airline relative to private sector participation. It will surely happen to the MASSIVE investment in the rail business.... no future..... ....And we will still be left with the unpayable debts.... |
Silly government just going around making bonfires in the dry season and complaining about being overwhelmed. A Nigerian military that is preoccupied and overstretched with its endless battles against armed invaders and brigands still has the time to chase civilians around where there is the police, the civil defence and a plethora of law endowment agencies. These are the kind of things that explain why they fail miserably in their primary function. Totally distracted, absolutely misplaced. |
That is all they do, all they excel in, destructive devices. Evil, demonic country. |
I have been watching soccer since 1981. There is nothing I have not seen in this game. I know the trajectory of a team when I see one. And I have said it ceaselessly that the Nigeria game at all levels is in decline. Moreso the Super Eagles is become a shadow of itself under Pinnick and his lap dog, a certain gaffer Rohr. This is a man that showed his sheer incompetence at the biggest stage of all, the World Cup in Russia and should never have been allowed to continue beyond that. To think he has survived four years of abject mediocrity after that shows the abysmal state of our game and the basement expectations we are quagmired in as a proud soccer loving nation. Just a pity. |
....see what Rohr has reduced Nigeria to.Honestly if this man is not sacked this week eh.... Nonsense. |
Exactly what is Rohr's input into this game. Just watching like us. Watching them carry the ball aimlessly, hanging onto it needlessly. Good job, Lagos crowd. Give them stress and if no goal in the next ten minutes rain urine laden bottles on their block heads. |
damosade:Well, we told you folks six years ago. That there was no capacity. All we spend our money on these days is insecurity and the much hyped 'infrastructure', all avoidable and symptomatic of failed leadership. |
jericco1:Elections do have serious consequences. They are the last chance of a citizen to decide his fate and experiences for the next four years at least. Make a mistake and it can even last a lifetime. |
Elections have consequences. No complaint. Just take the heavenly trains and you will be alright. Afterall infrastructure solves all.... When the next election cycle comes, as a union, the biggest and most influential union in Nigeria, you sit down with all the candidates and negotiate your liberty and prosperity and whomsoever gives you the best deal, seal and set in stone, galvanise all your members to support. That is how unions in sane climes operate. But we all know when the time comes your union will fractionalise along sentimental lines and you end up with nothing but woes. |
Gaddafi1:If we do not 'discuss' grazing routes millions can die if civil strife breaks out. Then malaria will be like an itch. |
ygowon:This is exactly what we say. A government that is adept at setting fires everywhere and wondering why it cannot have rest from calamity after calamity. Certainly the worst government since independence by a country mile. Terribly sectional.... hopelessly divisive.... ethnic champions.... |
DubaiLandLord2:Why do I feel you want to use Goodluck Jonathan as a blanket to keep warm in this prolonged winter. Did you not bring in a 'better' goverment to 'change' Nigeria. What have you done to force or persuade them to implement the resolutions of the 2014 National confab, the baby steps towards restructuring?.... Oga, let us take responsibility for our poor, uninformed choices at the polls and our cowardice and irresponsibility in trying to repair the damage ever since. I hope this will be amended in 2023 so that we will not end up blaming Mr. Buhari and the APC for the rest of our lives. |
Auba coming off. He looks spent. Pace has fallen off a cliff. Perhaps Arsenal should have spent the cash on someone else. |
So which dialogue have you or your principal initiated with those offended and desirous to leave. Which moves have you made, which petitions have you made to the National Assembly (that tool that is only useful to the President and useless to everyone else) for a fairer, equitable and just government towards all. A nation that calls political agitation criminal and seeks to tarnish it with the same brush as religious zealotry or armed banditry is just toying with its stability. Nigeria can never see the peace that will make for progress and development this way. Your lot can take that truism to the bank..... instead of illicit funds you are more favourably disposed towards. |
MyExpression:This government allowed this state of affairs by its failures. We have called on them since inception to dialogue towards restructuring, warning that the window of negotiations will not remain open forever. Did they take heed?... No. Rather typical of poor quality governance they decided the road of heavy handedness instead of de-esca;lation, negotiations towards peace and solidarity, lumping agitators for freedom with those who seek religious fiefdoms or those in it for financial gains. If this is not poor judgement amongst leadership, then what is. A government that simply does not understand the country, its peoples, their relationships and how democracy can work to unify and strengthen nations towards development and prosperity. |
dingbang:It is called an expressway for a reason. No pedestrians are to be anywhere near it and crossings should be well elevated from the causeway. Anything under 100 kmph is legal..... but any vehicle at that speed is lethal. |
Signs of times to come. In a couple of decades all those muscle cars will become museum pieces.... just to save the planet. There was once coal fired, steam trams moving around you know.... Who dares that now.... will re...greta... it... ![]() But I can imagine us returning to chariots and horse drawn stage coaches.... particularly in Africa.... when the last gas guzzler falls silent.. |
This is what we call police detecting, investigating and solving cases. Who wouldn't be comfortable paying taxes when quality service delivery is assured. |
jaxxy:Exactly. No country will spread its legs wide open for a candy bar. Everyone is red eyed these days.... except Africa sadly.... ![]() |
She should batten down the hatches and trench warfare cos her position is not a cake walk at all. These are the days of deep schisms in international commerce with the major powers seeking to ambush what is left of global innocence knowing well that the climate bomb is ticking. So she should seek a crash course is bare knuckled diplomatic fist fights to see this through. Quiting is not an option. Where does she return to??.....the Africa that remains asleep on the Titanic. |
grandstar:And what is a gas plant/gas station.... where you cannot even use a mobile phone within the premises.... abeg do not make me laugh.... ![]() What is the cost of a set of parabolic mirrors that are independently geared.... compared to system of potential chain reactions. Are we not tired of our history of system collapses where ordinary water contamination in the gas feed stock has grounded a whole plant.... It is the complexity of technologies that we are not ripe for that is our major undoing. Is it not the same NNPC that cannot manage its own refineries.... Once again I am not in the mood to laugh..... at a nation preparing to celebrate 'independence' just days after its leader goes cap in hand, telling tales of sweet talk for loans and financial chains.... while it apparently has the money for a safari load of nonsensical white elephant projects. |
grandstar:And what is a gas plant?..... |
Why not a 50 mega watt solar farm.... utilising the natural resources domiciled there.... instead of this potential white elephant. |
What the people of that area should demand is for a reinforced concrete road. The truth is that a combination of increasing urbanisation, increasing vehicular traffic stresses and adverse climactic conditions occasioned by rising rainfall and rising water tables throughout southern Nigeria makes for the gradual demise of traditional asphaltic paved roads. They no longer work well for any reasonable service lifespan. Ebonyi state, Rivers state and i think Akwa Ibom state have to varying degrees turned to concrete for lasting solutions. |
This must be rehabilitation for a temporary fix. Certainly not wholesale reconstruction. Dumping rocks in mud is shoddy and not a good idea at all. Bad soil (spoil) will never support anything placed on it. The mud must be removed to whatever depth is undisturbed and replaced with fresh, silt free granular material. I've seen this kind of thing happen many times and it never ends well. |
ddippset:But his gargantuan wages will not allow them to sign up other quality players. It is not Messi's fault though. He played a fast one on a weak management all these years, not assimilating with player after player signed by Barca and creating a false sense of singlehanded achievement when we all know the game itself is based around teamwork and the quality of the team is more important than the sum of its constituents. And once they entered a vicious cycle of dependency on Messi, his astronomical wages became a blackhole, sucking in the resources of Barcelona and crushing the opportunity to rebuild and refreshen the team properly. Now that Covid triggered the massive implosion of the clubs finances, they are left with the debris of a tattered team and little hope of bringing in genuine talent. Real Madrid through Perez on the other hand knows what club management is all about. He knows when to sell that high performance automobile when the cost of maintenance is no longer worth it. If not today CR7 will have left Real in similar bankruptcy if they insisted on keeping him at all costs. But today Real is doing just fine, Benzema has stepped into Ronaldo's shoes and is banging in more goals than ever. before. New talent in, a strong bench, a decent gaffer and a new high tech stadium refurbishment, all in the midst of the Covid depression. Good management is everything. Barcelona lacked that and Messi exploited it to feather his nest and has left the club in shambles. |
Hmmm..... no sleep there be dat or you might not wake up lai lai. Chlorine asphyxiation is a nasty way to die. |
Hmmm..... after just 5 serie a matches. I think someone is counting his chickens before.... He is good, has improved a lot lately but the league is a marathon and nothing is certain. Form is not permanent. Let us see by season's end. If he knocks Ciro from his perch atop the goalador ladder then the hype can begin. Anyways, when you look at the whole European scene the top marksmen are all aging. CR7, Leo, Lewa, Benzema, even ol Harry is fading, while the likes of Aguero and Suarez are all but tanked out, so there is room for the new generation led by the likes of Haaland to step up... and perhaps a certain Osimen.... who knows... If Chelsea could bring back Lukaku it is evident there is a growing shortage of top quality marksmen in Euro soccer. |
The US is a country that is perpetually at war. All its technologies, men and means are battle tested and proven. These are just show pieces, toys until.... China goes to war.... then.... until then |
Hahahahaha.... all because of railway and second niger bridge.... and other heavenly infrastructure... that we borrow to stupor and railroad the naira.... |

....see what Rohr has reduced Nigeria to.
