Sixaxis:Explosion, combustion... when propellant is ignited in a confined space whether in a cartridge, vehicle engine or rocket motor, it amounts to the same thing. Its all a reaction converting chemical potential energy to heat, sound and the pressure that causes kinetic or impulsive force. In many quarters it is correct. 'The gun exploded' is a very logical way to describe what a gun is meant to do. |
frowland:That is not how job creation figures are estimated. The number of indirect jobs cannot have an empirical number before value is created. It is only post establishment that a projection can be made. Just like the GSM invasion in the early 2000's indirect job figures are only quantifiable now. Even the privatisation of the power sector cannot place a figure on indirect jobs now since investment is still being rolled out. Indirect job figures pre investment are no more than speculative. |
Mocking ... when the country their principal is superintending over is in a total mess and tanking in all indices of life and living.... Nigerians are indeed patient to the point of abject insanity... no pressure whatsoever on government to act. Everyone is satisfied with the crumbs falling from the master's table. |
Security was one of the core electoral promises of this government together with the economic degredation that affects it. Nigerians must demand for improvement. |
The last thing we need as a nation is instability. I have said it before. The only positives we can get out of this inquest is reforms to the electoral system and the growth and development of the electoral institution. If the election result is overturned and no lessons are learned we will be in no better a position and Nigeria will have no benefits from this. The process is way more important than the result. |
A legend of our time. A gift that just keeps giving. A remarkable inspiration to all who seek not only to get to the top but remain there for as long as possible to simply defy the laws of nature. |
As long as education is free it will continue to be at the government's pleasure and since government cannot control how you use your reproductive organs to procreate like rats there will be no end to the vicious cycle of poverty induced angst. Nigerians should gain some level of intellect and change the ststus wuo. This country is dying in instalments. We need responsible citizenry.... urgently. Anyone who promises you free education is just handing you a noose or a bottle of poison. |
... I don't know whether to laugh or cry... .... then his weekly wages will be something like N5...pre tax... |
It is clear from the responses above that Nigerians are tired of hot air and wish to see something that makes meaning to their lives, something tangible. This President remains in campaign mode five years after ascending to power. Just... baffling... |
proxillin:Cool down. The guy was talking about Bolton. You, him and Trump are all on the same page. No one wants an unevessary war that will achieve nothing but wreck economies up and down every street in the world. Trump is first a business man and his forte is about economics and the economy of the States. In this he is a very unusual Republican. |
That is why we have ultra strict rules for my staff on location. No women at all times, visitation during break times only and never overnight. No drugs, no smokes (except you wish to kill yourself and the rest of us). The only thing I may relax in the future 2020/21 is cable tv in the mess hall. When you rotate out you can kill yourself for all I care. The woman thing is a real problem and we have learnt the very hard way... way back in 2008/9. Since then no more. You stay celibate on your tour or you are gone instantly without compensation. |

Dial a friend. Or don't they have Okonjo Iweala's phone number again.... to help get the noose off their necks.... . With all the financial experts and gurus in the Lagos area.... the economy is built on hot air... okay oh... |
koolaid87:Mister. This is rather an indictment on the part of any such man. Simlly shows he knows very litgke and perhaps should not have any sensible woman accept his proposal in the first place. I doubt if such a man has the mental capacity to sustain any form of success in any other meaningful endeavour when he cannot understand the basics of the human body, the basics of human nature and the philosophy of life as concerning holding a static position in a dynamic world. He simply operates from a source of very low intelligence. I can give a catalogue of other purposeful, life transforming projects he has probably abandoned as well. |
Both he and the person who withdrew the money are criminals. What are you doing with 1.5million naira in cash if not for nefarious activities. EFCC should open a department to monitor large cash movements. The intent is clearly to blank out an electronic transaction and potential trail. I will not even start with the robbery itself. Once a while the police should use undercover/plain clothes guys to setup anti robbery stings so that these criminals can actually be caught not killed or escaped. There is no better deterrent to wanton criminality than a series of randon, deliberate dummy runs. When certain crimes escalate to very high levels one sure the way to unhinge it is to fight back with a great deal of tact and craft. |
kendrick93:Indomie generation. This is barely a paragraph in a chapter.... in the encyclopedia of great African soccer talents. Neither Salah nor Eto'o will top the table in their respective countries...when all the pages have been turned. People know their heros. |
The Chief Author of the Wailing lexicon is....wailing..... hmmm....snow must be falling in the Sahara.... |
senatordave1:Yeah, it was a badly conducted election. Whole swathes of votes were not collated or something. Hmmmm.... it will be a fierce battle. He has many supporters and made a sort of alliance with the APGA contender. It will not be easy for the erstwhile PDP sentaor.... whats that his name again. Abia politics is another thing entirely. |
eTECTIV:Indeed but when you realise that man was designed to live extended lives. In biblical times humans lived for hundreds of years even with a heaven in place and it is clear in scripture that this continued to decline as sin abounded. So putting it together he is right. Heaven is the ultimate desire and destination but longevity is proof of curse reversal which can only come from a life that pleases God. Even He wants a good thing to continue. That is with your cooperation of course. |
You pipu sef. Once a while you need good immune system stimulus. |
Yet another proof of the feudal state Nigeria is and the fear the people have for their elected leaders. With all the challenges facing the citizens the man is relaxed enough to tell tales of his eating habits because he is not tasked by an obviously grateful media personality who has to appease the king. Four years then eight years will come and go and the boli eating governor will have made scant impact on the lives of the people he fought tooth and nail to govern. No demand, no grilling, no impetus and no performance. That is as sure as the sun rising by 6.17am tomorrow morning. |

Davash222:This is not a nice thing to say whether in jest or joke. Be circumspect please. There is much crime in the land and it doesn't take much to be a victim. |
That is how we roll in Nigeria. Lynchings, mob violence, extra-judicial slayings, all the sordid acts we all love isn't it. We lovebloodletting and justify it. What is thd difference I ask again between a kidnapper burnt alive WHICH WE SO, SO, SO LOVE AND JUSTIFY, a 'pastor' alleged to be sacrificing kids and this. Afterall those responsible for this slaughter will justify it too if you happen to come across them post madness. If you have supported any form of lynching ever of anyone in any circumstance and remain unrepentant and adamant that this is a right course in certain circumstances then you, YES YOU are capable of participating in the heinous crime you see pictured here. It is either we decide to live like civilised humanoids or admit we are just a gathering of animals for the curiosity of the world. |
So Okiro wanted his cake as IG and now as PSC top dog...... can you see how weak government can be. Everything is personalised in Nigeria. They have a problem, instead of looking at the "manual' governing Nigeria and obeying its commandments they take the matter to Aso Rock for a 'king' to inteprete as if we operate a monarchy, as if the constitution is human and resides at the villa. Nigerians at all levels have a hard time just obeying rules and living by simple tenets. This is the curse of the black man, his inability to organise himself around principles around written laws. We operate by the philosophy of 'traffic light plus traffic warden'. This is what has given us a well deserved back breaking bill of 9 billon dollars, our inability to institutionalize even the simplest of commercial transactions. If the police who are the upholders of the law have at the core of its leadership folks who have a hard time simply following laws and rules and tenets, how else is the rest of society expected to work. They cannot even bring themselves to conduct a simple recruitment exercise. What else can be so embarrassing, frustrating and disgusting. If I were to be the President the only visit I will require of them is to present their resignations.....nonsensical, incompetent, reprobate oafs. |
igbobuigbo:Why do you blame embassies. How can they seperate the wheat from the chaff when Nigerians come up with fake and forged papers of all kinds. One minute he is an oil Executive with a million dollar account invited to attend a tradefair, next he is selling bootleg CD's on the streets. We simply do not have a credible, foolproof system of public accountability and records. Everything is popularly bent. There is no one public institution that one can rely upon to give accurate data and bios on anyone. How do you want the embassies to handle this except they stop giving visas altogether or make it highly prohibitive but then 'poor honesty' will still complain of victimisation. We just cannot blame anyone for the sordid image we have abroad and at home but ourselves. If the immigration officer can issue multiple passports, if the Road Safety Corps can issues licenses to folks who have never been behind a wheel, if commercial banks can 'bump up' account balances and falsify transactions for a fee and you can get a birth certificate, health insurance, academic qualifications from the local business centre then we should brace ourselves for an increasing pariah status. |
Nigeria should pay up her 9 billion dollar fees to thw School of Hard Knocks, Faculty of Bad Governace, Department of Political Contractors to be allowed entry into the next lecture series titled: "How to Shut the Gates of Government/State House to Mercenaries after Elections" |
That is how government business is done in Nigeria, with shady characters, mercenaries and criminals in a never ending viscious, destructive cycle of rent seeking. That is the product of weak institutions in a state of strong-mannism. |
Just like with the main man of their more illustrious compatriots, all the glory begins and ends with club. I certainly donot want to mention names but is the Catalan brand just a Bermuda Triangle. |
