What is it about internet banking that people just cannot use these facilities. The time has come when one no longer sympathises with people who get robbed of 'large sums' of cash. What are these large amounts used for legally. Surely big men have accounts, surely big businesses have accounts, surely small men and small businesses don't do big cash so what legal transaction warrants this.

And like in an incident I heard about a few weeks ago, I will say this. He is a very lucky man to have his vehicle broken into and the money stolen. What if he didn't stop anywhere and the robbers got desperate trailing him and decided to move on him in public with weapons or waited till he retired for the night having missed opportunities throughout the day....he may not be alive. It is becoming very silly to do these things in the kind of country we live in these trying times.

When we told them that they should have shelved all the Tompolo activity, they said no, their fans said by now he will be in jail. The luck this country has is that he is not in jail if not the 800,000 barrels will be more like wishful thinking. Once again after losing billions, half the year, a budget that is unimplementable and an economy in shambles they are beginning to wake up. Law enforcement is only possible in an atmosphere of justice. To have justice you need to have agreements on the rule of law, to have an agreement you have to negotiate. which of these has the government done. Get the bulk of the Niger-Delta on your side and make them not you separate the wheat from the chaff. They will hand over Tompolo themselves. This government doesn't readily listen and they don't easily get it.

What is my concern. I have offered enough advice, have taken my own tablets and my revenues are on course to attain the entire 2015 levels by August. Like the much touted Buhari corruption war I too have cut waste and overheads from 48 to 35% helped as well by the weak naira and low production costs but much more importantly I have increased income massively. New clients and new business from competitors who cannot compete which the government in comparison has failed woefully to do. Nigeria has not profited in any way from the weak Naira to attract business and this results entirely from policy flaws, the lack of ideas and political distraction.....by the way much like the government I have barely been able to recover any debts from 2015, just 2% but this has not affected me at all. A few have been written off. In this economy, who will pay.

It is men with these kinds of compliments that cause the these ladies to lay emphasis on looks and the result is the picture above. And you know deep down in you that is not what you wish for long term. The more the compliments the less they work on the more important aspects of their lives and the less they become of use to men. When a lady hears you are beautiful or your body is this and that consistently for years and it provides her meal ticket, what incentive does she have to advance her mentality, morality and so on. Then you get into real, serious relationships and all those core values are missing, stunted and undeveloped and the next thing is, 'llady you are selfish, lazy, good for nothing....men, keep it real.

Too many kids on nairaland these days. That's why they find Dino melaye and his kiddish ways appealing.

Even if dino stands in front of Tinubu's house, only a fool will touch him. If Tinubu has intentions of dealing with him, it's going to be politically, not physically, and at a time when he least expects.

You iPod youths can keep urging him on just as you did GEJ, Nnamdi kanu, FFK, Omisore, Dasuki etc. We all know where they are now.

Silly comments are beginning to make me sick of nairaland.
You are the very folks that give credence to the assertion that all those cases and many more are just political. With this statement you tacitly admit to that. My friend this is not how to run a country and if you folks go down this lane I cannot see how this tenure can be a success. There are a number of elected officials and appointees who will come out of this with their reputations intact and enhanced. Even the much derided Fashola may at the end of the day deliver but there are so many others who are misusing the power they have gained and will end up totally damaged.

The level of distraction this government faces is just benumbing and the responses to these distractions is just unfortunate, and to think that it is all internal party political. What do you folks think this government will do when organised labour begins to act against government, civil society groups, the international community and the opposition PDP when they eventually get their acts together because all these groupings will soon tire with all the excuses and deflections and begin to put torrid pressure on the government. How will the APC stand then when it is so divided and fractured. You guys had better stop all these bickering. In the case of Melaye and co., it is better just to ignore them on the one hand and neutralize the overbearing influence of the political godfathers holding the party captive on the other if not....

I am really getting sick and tired of these religious and ethnic crises, we are trying to solve unpaid salaries, inflation, exchange rates, power, transportation challenges and some people would still not let us have peace because of their God and oil, I just taya for una, are these what would make us a developed country? Why we too like suffer like this?
That is precisely why we say Nigeria CANNOT develop and that only restructuring can set us down the right path. Let me elucidate. If Nigeria were to be restructured then each locality WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the welfare of its citizens by guaranteeing the safety of its guests which includes non - indigenous cultures, religions and affiliations, all peoples who desire to domicile there. It will view them as cash centres, revenue earners through productivity and taxation and thus protect them rather than view them as liabilities, cockroaches to be crushed simply because of the benevolence of a Federal Government and because they have a free meal ticket.

In the UK today the present talk is about how many companies will relocate to mainland Europe because of Brexit and the potential negative fallout on the UK economy. Their sentimental decision at the polls (a backlash against foreigners) will cost them economically and potentially politically with Scotland set to leave the UK. This is the scenario Nigeria and Nigerians should be made to face so that siĺly actions are considered more carefully. Nigerians must be made to believe in Nigeria, made to believe in the unity of Nigeria. The state of the union must be constantly checked, monitored instead of been taken for granted by nonsensical statements such as 'unity is non-negotiable'. Non negiotiable is a free pass to violence b mtheby the strong over the week, the majority over the minority, the landlords of Nigeria over the tenants. Restructuring will give every one constituent a level playing field.

But the establishment, the owners of Nigeria will not allow that. To them corruption which they are part of is the only problem Nigeria faces in the path to greatness. Not the countless number of lives lost, properties destroyed, disasters that will have plunged many, many countries into crisis and sectarian wars. If we who know what is good and right for Nigeria donot speak up then we will be complicit in destroying this country because those who perpetuate these acts are not going to stop willingly tomorrow. There is no incentive to stop these wanton, random acts of violence because they own the judiciary as well. People have to demand for restructuring and only that wil do.

Faculty14:
When ever jos or Kaduna is talked about here on Nl,i begin to see comments like 'I hope the violence there has ended' seriously people?? This comments I see here are the emanating from Nigerians?? Same Nigerians who live in Lagos pH and onitsha
Is there a place in Nigeria that does not experience violence of some sort..all the kidnappings, cult rivalry, armed robbery attacks.NDA and IPOB all these doesn't contribute to violence abi??
As a Nigerian you have no right to call another region more violent than yours cause we all live in this sh:thole of a nation whether Ibadan or Benin every place has its downside..some are just relatively peaceful.. Communal violence nko?? Abeg make I just rest here!
I Rep j-city tho cool
I think every part of Nigeria has its security challenges but it all depends an individuals threshold for violence and negativity because they take all shapes and intensity. If you are a hausa muslim living in the city of Kano you will regard the place as absolutely safe ut not if you are a christian missionary or evangelist. Similarly if you were a fulani herdsman, crossing the middlebelt is fraught with grave danger and when you eventually get south you have to be picky on where you can and cannot go.

If you are kind of person that forgets instantaneous pain and danger like a woman who gives birth then certainly places like Jos might appeal to you because they are generally tranquil for long periods but have these occasional explosions of violence and insecurity. Some with short memory can live with that. On the other hand places like Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Abia, etc may not have the danger of communal or religious or sectarian violence but have the elevated danger of crime which suits some but other cannot live with.

It has to do with ones personality. Some fear short sharp pain while others abhor a throbbing, numbing headache. I for one cannot live in a place of constant insecurity no matter how mild that is, even if it is pickpocketing that has to keep me awake or at watch 24-7, that is why I find it difficult to stay in Lagos for instance but being a sort of risk taker I will rather live by a volcano knowing it won't erupt everyday and I might just have traveĺed out the day it actually does. I will chose Jos over most cities anyday, but like I said the lack of a virile economy on the eastern flank of Nigeria is a big let down....but hey if the economy becomes like that of Lagos, surely the hassle will be too.

Lived there 6 years. Haven't been back ever since. Wonderful place, beautiful people. Fond memories. There is something about the right flank of Nigeria that is so different. Taraba down to Cross-River. These places are so lovely, tranquil, the topography, the inhabitants are so un Nigerian. These are the places you want to live if not for their somewhat poorer economy. The western flank of Nigeria on the other hand stretching from Sokoto right down to Lagos is another matter. Overpopulated, rowdy, noisy and scary.

But why can't this government ever get anything right. Why not go through the right legal channels and get him extradited from wherever he is. Get Interpol involved. When felons flee the only route to justice is thorough investigation and evidence gathering. They have few cards to play and if they deal their hand wrongly it is they who could end up with legal eggs in their faces and a public backlash at perceived victimisation of innocent people who just happened to be felated. Law enforcement should know their limitations and up their investigative game. The best route to success is tracing the perpetuator from the point of the crime, if not it will be all hot air. I hope by 2019 we won't have lost billions in endless, pointless inquests with threadbare results.

We who study these things know the psychology behind them, guilt soliciting sympathy. It will be easier for a Globacom mast to pass tnrough the eye of a needle than for Nigeria to get better with the kind of inhabitants that roam this land.

Illiterates in the house, please read slowly! The report released covers the period 2011-2015. Danbazzau was COAS between 2007-2010. The next phase of investigation will cover 2007-2010. Simple! If you guys have any issue with Buratai, please forward to the Code of Conduct tribunal and take the case up from there. Leave Buhari alone! He has said repeatedly that he doesn't interfere with the work of the EFCC! The only exclusive mandate he has given the EFCC is to recover the USD 1.2 billion looted from the NSA.
And what was the criteria for setting that time frame 2011 - 2015. Why not one year before or one year after. Abeg just forget the excuses and face the facts that you cannot run a government in Nigeria without the corrupt present and without corruption occuring. What do you think those two fellows will be doing with public funds entrusted to them right now. Can you vouch that they are not stealing this very moment. And what will not make them steal right now, when they have immunity at the ultimate level because the popular idea is that Buhari is the custodian of anti-corruption so if he clears you then even the angels in heaven cannot see fault. The anti-corruption war is dead in the water, dead the day the CPC merged with the ACN, dead because the constitution of Nigeria favours corruption, dead because this government is an establishment one.
