Be like say na national assembly resident tailor be dia consultant. |
Logicboy03: 75% of nairalanders excrete in the bush......No. You're correct.... statistically. So whose posting from the jungle dis mornin... |
100 out of 140million. Naija's in deep poo. |
Anyone above 40 should have regular check-ups to avoid this kind of end. Quality of life is more important than these mundane things we often expend all our energies pursuing. |
Its a good result. A win against Italy in my opinion will have done more damage than a loss knowing how fragile our psyche is. This result keeps us sober, objective and analytical. That's good going forward. |
bboiabb: 2-2 against number 8 in the world is not bad at all.Yeah. Should do a lot good for our ranking which is stuck on first gear despite the fact we've seen all, done all lately esp. on the continent. We are getting to the heady days of 94, slowly but surely. |
Lyoncrescent: I couldn't agree more. The civil service is too far from the reality called Nigeria just as Abuja city centre is from the surburbs. It employs not more than 5% of the population yet consumes 75% of the nations income which means it drinks 7 out of every 10 barrels of oil to the government. Which means for every 25 or 30 staff employed in a private organisation one is a government worker via taxation. The country is slaving and dying to maintain this money pit called 'government'. They seldom work weekends and enjoy all, totally all holidays and to what end, you can't get decent service anywhere from your vaccine card to your drivers license. Just shambolism everywhere. Compare that to what hardworking people go through in the private sector yet when NLC sneezes they suffer lost wages (no work, no pay) and no strike pay rises. In my opinion the NLC should be scrapped or rebranded NGLC - Nigeria Government Labour Congress. |
poccahunter: Mediterranean Hotel Asokoro. if you love your sanity, dignity and progress don't go there. The MD Muhammad withholds staff salaries, and physically beat them!Ha. Dis one na Django Rechained. |
Lyoncrescent: I think Government Agencies are the best when it comes to this Topic and this is evident since no one has mentioned any government ministry or agency. They rarely use and dump staff and job security/promotion is quite strong i think. On the other hand their pay isn't that much. I think some of the comments are justified while some are just from lazy staff who feel aggrieved cos of their former employers. Please, please, please. Not here. We are talking about businesses and companies that seek to create wealth not perenial failed organizations, money pits, corruption schools and plazas of ineptitude called civil service where 95% of our collective wealth is wasted. Abeg make una no talk where people who dey work dey talk. Abeg. |
berem: Get a picture of TB Joshua and hang it on the wall of your apartment. Since TB Joshua's picture is now a fire extinguisher, it can also serve as insect killer to kill bed bugs and even mosquitoes. I tried it and it worked for me.Hahahaha. Bad, bad, bad girl. |
Danielle22: I tink it a personal decision.......i knw of a girl dat stay in my frnds ous, she told her son 2 kal her aunty instead of mum cos of she didnt want pple 2 knw dat she has given birth.........xo wateva goes 4 d parent it dier choice.Hookay dun worry. When you're all grey at your son's wedding reception and he's going through the high table.... 'And that handsome nigga sittin right there is my father'.... (thunderous applause),....and that ravishingly pretty bit.... seated besides him is my mama... (thunderous applause). Afterall aren't the kids supposed to take one's lineage to the next level. |
donroxy: Sharrap there, stay there and form civilised when tis just a barbaric attitude !!!I absolutely agree with the last paragraph. Your children will not live in a cocoon forever so while they grow it is important to prepare them for the society they are going to face and give them the tools to succeed. If the values taught are entirely private and donot impinge on society, fine but if those values impact on their public persona and hence relationships they would blame the dad in future for a wrong perception, i.e. misleading them that such was 'cool'. |
Fulaman198: That is also very disrespectful. Calling your father things like "man", "dude", "brother", etc. Just thinking about it infuriates me. Calling ones mother things like "sister", "sis", "aunty" I thought all these things were abominations in all Nigerian cultures. If I were a parent I dare one of my children to ever use terminology around myself or my future wife and see what happens.Ha ha. You never see anytin yet. Wait till e go reach pickin wey dey hail im papa 'yo nigga? |
sagombugo: Predictable moves by GEJ but albeit if they have a stone-cold evidence against them then they should carry the flakHa, ha. Oh dearie, dearie. You don't know where to land, on whose side, left, right or left or right or left.... Who will be more merciful on us, the devil or satan. That's the paradox called Nigeria. |
utumunta: A country where the same persons that brought us to this parlous state of affairs, are also consulted on the way forward. It is a shame that instead of IBB putting the finishing touch to his prison memoir, as a result of grand larcenery, serial murders(including late Dele Giwa) and rape of our institutions and values, he is walking free and 'consulting'.But I've been saying exactly this: For a political movement to gain national acceptance it has to move closer to the centre because that's where Nigerians are and there is where power is. Democracy is a game of numbers and if the vast majority are corrupt you will have a corrupted government elected. In the heydays of the Buhari anti-corruption political movement I often wrote him off because he wanted to plant maize in a swamp instead of rice. And that if he wanted to rule he would have to stain himself. Today is stage 3 of the 'descent' into political office. By the time APC gets into office I can bet that even the founders would not recognise the party. If Buhari couldn't do it in totalitarianism how will he possibly do it in democracy. Folks for the umpteenth time, the problem of Nigeria is Nigerians not politicians or government. They are not from mars. They came and will continue to come from within us. You cannot plant maize in a swamp. |
soloqy: Gotv is owned by DSTV . All the money is getting into the same pocket. Most certainly Multichoice is a ruthless player in this market. I just hope the NBC's hands are clean on this or a judicial panel of inquiry should be set up. Anti-trust matters are extremely serious in saner climes. |
Blue Magic: If the Govt fears the people there is sanity, if the people fear the Govt there is tyranny. And they wonder why Americans bears arms. Aside from protecting oneself it is also to put the Govt in check.True. There are certainly more guns on the 'streets' than in government hands. Over here the masses always get the short end of the stick. |
bfmconcepts: The driver of the tipper is a mor0n. |
bfmconcepts: The driver of the tipper is a mor0n.That's it. The masses always get the short end of the stick. |
fkaz: Infact yesterday PDP campaign lead by jonathan just show the level of tribal hatred between diff ethnic group in nigeria. It also show that tribal war on nairaland is what is happen within our politician at the background. But the LASG and the APC trivialised the issue as it steamed on the coals. Now the porraige overflows they have no one to blame. Race issues and elections are gasoline and fireworks in any country worldwide. Our political leaders must become more circumspect because once mess don comot.... |
ifyeky: Young man always confirm ur facts before u post. D. Said commisioner wz making sure all lunatics wia off d streets of Uyo irrespective of where der r frm, so because dos 2pple r frm Lagos state didn't mean dat dey were d only ones arrested during d exerciseSo said Lagos state when they were undertaking theirs, that it was not targetted. All these Import-Export of Lunatics business sef. |
Good lesson for Nigeria. Shows that you can make a decent, honest success. Hope to see the backbone of this team to do well at the U-21's in a couple of years. I support the idea of keeping Manu in charge and Amuneke replacing him as U17 gaffer. If it can work that way it will be the first institution we'ed have successfully built. Good job NFF/NSC. Soccer vultures keep off. |

ASUU suck! Sorry if u are a police man or waman ohSorry to burst your bubble but fleeing the scene of an accident you caused is a criminal offence. Yeah, yeah, the governor has immunity but does it cover his aides. That's what ASUU want to know. |
So mad men have the capacity to conceal crime, Godgift indeed. |
But the politician is black nah, must he be discriminated against when we gladly do the same for non blacks? We do that for non nigerians sef.
These politicians have countless aides, assistants and whatever paid for by us. Why must they then misuse a policeman trained and funded by the state for the primary purpose of law enforcement. Why? |
mu2sa2: He can escape sanction if he's smart, because the pic is not conclusive that he actually smoked weed. This case is different from the video clips circulated recently.Yeah, yeah. He smoked but didn't inhale ala George Bush Jnr. Anyway the Mayor of Toronto's just fine so... |
It is our culture. Even the President has a 'whole' lieutenant colonel carrying his briefcase called an ADC. Whatever that is. If that briefcase contained the launch mechanism for 2,500 nuclear missiles I may understand. What do these military and paramilitary houseboys and girls actually do. |
phreakabit: I don't see Pa Ameobi doing any defensive work, Sunday Mba is a great player but doesn't do any defensive work. . It only makes sense to play to your strengths, if you feel you need to shore you your defensive play switch to 4-2-3-1. Quit trying to be Barcelona with the whole 4-3-3 thing, its not easy to play 4-3-3 and expect your main striker to put in defensive contributions. Ever wonder why you hardly see Messi in the defence or deep in midfield? |

Every coach has his philosophy, tactics and game plans which evolve over time. Even the most successful philosophies eventually expire. Keshi was a defender. It doesn't take rocket science to deduce that he will build his teams 'from the back'. That's why highly decorated veteran Yobo's head was the first on the block. He had a choice. To build his team around players or to graft players into his team. He chose the latter and the results speak for themselves. |
alala dakosta: over the years one thing have notice about any africa in charge be it group, school, church, club even country etc is, anytime time their subordinate let is opinion know, they see it as been rude or arrogant.my conclution, Blacks are not naturally born leaders.Oops. Thought Sir Alex Ferguson was 'white'. My bad. |
