Buhari is 84 years old, wears an adult diaper,is nearly lifeless and sleeps at any opportunity he gets both in public and private.
So that he does not keep making a fool of himself in public, they chose Obaseki to accompany him, to give Nigeria a young face.
Look at the young man they sent?he went there and converted the UN floor to his bedroom, and he became lifeless too like his leader.

hor=wanted2018 post=70604723]The Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, has condemned the reaction of his subjects in humilating the senate president and described their action as an abomination maintaining that any attempt to politicize the Ojude Oba Festival will not be acceptable.
MY QUICK TAKE. =========== In all honesty, culture and tradition of the people should not be mixed with politics. But how do you describe Saraki's appearance as a special guest alongside a few other lawmakers loyal to him to a festival few months to the general election and also coming when he is about to publicly declare his presidential ambition. Many people are asking who paid the appearance fee? The Awujale should not be blamed in anyway because he may not even know the antics of these politicians. Saraki wanted to test the waters, but unfortunately, the people sent a clear signal that they don't want him. Coming to Ijebuland with people like Dino and the twitter guy six months to election to test the microphone is not acceptable to the people. I trust the Yoruba people when it comes to politics. You can't use them for any political gains. Saraki and his clique are holding our dear nation to ransom by opposing very clear and good intentions of the president. The INEC budget and other burning national issues are pending, but they have the time and space to gallivant around the country to attend jamborees. They will keep meeting the masses everywhere they go to. In the last few days, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso could not find any hiding place as people follow him with the shout of "Sai Buhari" anywhere they find his shadows. Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal got the same treatment by his own people, in his own local government. When Senator Isah Hamma Misau raised his hand to shout PDP, the same crowd he rented replied "SAI BUHARI, Bamayi sai mai gaskiya". Alhaji Sule Lamido got the shock of his life when a rally he organized in Jigawa turned against him in a state that he was two time governor. The truth of the matter is that people already know who their enemies are. To pretend is to be mischievous. The Awujala should have known that inviting a politician in such event must get a political response. These characters can only get cheers in some particular region of the country. But they will certainly find no ventilation to where sophistication dwells as politics. (c)Nnaemeka Ikerionwu[/quote]Kabiyesi should have known that a man who brings home ant infested firewood must play host to lizards. |

BoneBlogger: Honesty really pays. An award ceremony has been hosted for the two exceptional staff of Halogen Security,Francis Emepueaku and Achi Daniel, the security guards at the multi level car park of the Murtala Muhammed Int'l Airport, Lagos, who returned a bag forgotten by a passenger containing large sum of money and expensive items.
Daniel is a father of four from Delta State while Emepueaku hails from Anambra.
With all the accolades that have trailed their uncommon display of honesty and integrity, including a commendation from President Muhammadu Buhari, for forfeiting temporary wealth to gain an enduring honour, they both seemed subdued by the ‘five minutes of fame’ when they were yesterday unveiled to the media in Lagos.
The duo were yesterday honoured by their company in recognition of their rare integrity and professionalism. Daniel and Emepueaku, in the presence of family members and friends, were awarded the sum of N250,000 each, scholarships for diploma in security management and plaque of recognition.

This means more business for them; even the airport authorities get an opportunity to shine and Nigeria as a whole get a chance to tell the world "Everybody no be criminal" All is well that ends well. |

Travel › Re: End Of Danfo As LASG Is Set To Roll Out 300 New BRT Buses Oct. 1st by Reptyle(m): 8:57pm On Aug 17, 2018 |
AutoReportNG: Lagos State Government says it has taken delivery of 300 new buses into its Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) fleet to boost public transportation services in the state.
The Commissioner for Transportation, Ladi Lawanson, said in Lagos that the new buses were part of the 800 buses paid for by the state government. The 300 buses would be on Lagos roads from Oct. 1, the commissioner said.
“The most important thing is that the buses will start rolling out from October and we are not stopping at that and we won’t stop at 800. “All 800 buses have been paid for but they are not bought off the shelf, they are produced in batches.
“The state government, being an enabler, made a financial commitment for those 800 to come in.
“But we have a firm agreement with the bus company that we are going to build up to 5000 buses in the next three to four years,” Lawanson said.
The commissioner said that the bus company had also expressed commitment to establish assembly plant in the country to provide jobs and for easy maintenance of the buses.
“That is part of what we knew we had to resolve from the old ways we have been acting.
“Part of the company’s agreement is to establish an assembly plant here to provide more jobs for Nigerians and solve the problems of maintenance and spare parts,’’ he said.

Someone should tell him to stick to his time-tested role as "ruling party disruptor-in-chief" and continue to enjoy the misplaced adulation of his coterie of twitter praise singers rather than embark on this one-way journey of self-demystification.

How do you ask a court to rule against an action that has not been carried out? It is the job of the police to PREVENT crime and not the courts. What they should seek from the courts is an interpretation of the said Section 50(2)(c). Asking the courts to restrain Senators from removing their leader is an aberration and cannot stand in law. If the Senate President is removed and he feels it was been done against the dictates of the law, then he can approach the courts for redress. |

The Deputy Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Azeez Adesiji, on Monday led eight members of the State Working Committee of the party and 6,200 members of the party executive at local government and ward levels to join the Action Democratic Party.
The APC leaders and their followers were received at the Chairman of the ADP, Toye Akinola, at the secretariat of the party in Osogbo amidst jubilation.
Adesiji said the mass defection was caused by the alleged nepotism; impunity and unconcerned attitudes of the decision makers in the party and the state government to the citizens of the state among other reasons.
He said, ” I, Alhaji Azeez Issa Adesiji and other State Exco members wish to make it known to you all about our defection into this new credible alternative party because of impunity and undemocratic practices witnessed in our former party, the All Progressives Congress. Osun State which is unbecoming of an acc, aimed progressive party.

” Also, among the 8,632 executives at the ward level in the APC, 5620 are also joining the train to our new party, Action Democratic Party.”
The chairman of the ADP in the state, Toye Akinola, said he was happy with the mass defections of politicians from the ruling party to the opposition party.
He said other politicians from the APC and other political parties had informed him of their decision to join the party soon, saying they would all be accommodated.
He urged the people of the state to support the governorship candidate of the party, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, who he said would rescue the state from suffering with the support of the people.

Travel › Re: Checkout The Shambolic State Of Roads In Festac Town (PHOTOS) by Reptyle(m): 7:53pm On Jul 31, 2018 |
autojosh: Festac Town is one of the oldest planned communities in Nigeria.
This expansive residential estate was originally built to host participants at FESTAC 77 – an African Festival of Arts and Culture that held in 1977.
At the time it was built and commissioned, Festac town was a model residential estate. It was the first of its kind in Africa. Festac town, then, boasted of world-class social and public amenities. But most importantly, the estate featured access to public transportation and an excellent road network.
Indeed, Festac town - at its early stage - was a choice residential location in Nigeria.
Sadly, today, most of the one-time excellent amenities and public infrastructure in Festac town have collapsed or enormously deteriorated. For instance, the expansive road networks in Festac are in atrocious conditions.
Note, Festac town is managed by the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). However, the Federal, State and Local Government all lay claim to the management of the estate.
Each tier of government occasionally issue the residents with various charges ranging from valuation fees, local government levies to tenement rates.
The battle for the control of Festac Town has lingered on between the Federal government and the Lagos State and to the detriment of the residents of the Estate.
Today, Festac suffers from a terrific neglect by the governments. There are no functional infrastructure. Public infrastructure that still exist are in atrocious conditions. Notable of these infrastructure are the network of roads.
As a result, driving on the roads in Festac have become a very bumpy and unpleasant experience – no thanks to the various roads there that are replete with crater-size potholes, eroded road surfaces and collapsed portions of some roads.
Indeed, Festac town is a classic example of a place with absolutely no presence of government.
Festac town is located in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos state.
Interestingly, the headquarters of the Amuwo Odofin Local Government is situated in Festac.
The Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government is Executive Chairman, Engineer Valentine Oluwaseyi Buraimoh.
The Governor of Lagos state is Akinwunmi Ambode.
The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) reports to the Federal Government of Nigeria currently headed by President Mohammadu Buhari.

Ayazor54: The Senator representing Sokoto South Senatorial District, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi Danbaba has boasted that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will win 10 northern states in the 2019 general elections.
Danbaba was among the lawmakers who recently dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the PDP at the National Assembly.
Speaking to select journalists in Sokoto on Sunday, the senator said he did not regret dumping the APC on whose platform he became Senator because they were not being carried along.
Explaining further, he stated that he left the party because of lack of equity, justice and fairness to all members.
“The APC-led federal government has derailed from its mandate and failed to meet the yearnings of Nigerians,” he added.
Danbaba, who is also the vice chairman of the House Committee on Army, lamented that the APC has failed to address the three core issues facing the country, which are those of security, economy and corruption for which it was voted into power in 2015.
“I am the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army and I know how much that has been expended on security in the country. We are facing security challenges in Zamfara, Kaduna, Sokoto and many states and people are being killed,” he said.
He added, “No strategy has been adopted to tackle security. Villagers in Zamfara are now running to local government headquarters. So, the situation is getting worse in the country.”
Speaking further, the lawmaker stated that the President was being misled by selfish people who surrounded him for their personal benefits.
Danbaba was confident that the PDP would take over Benue, Kaduna, Kano, Plateau, Kogi, Kwara, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa and Sokoto states in 2019.
He also said that the balance of power was now tilted in favour of the PDP.
The senator accused the APC government of fighting perceived enemies in the name of fighting corruption, citing the travails of the Senate President.

I think the fundamental question to ask after such an order is: Where do they plan to relocate the trucks to after evacuation?
Wherever you relocate them to, they'd still be a nuisance.
As usual with us in this country, we are expending needless energy on treating the symptoms of a crappy system rather than fixing the root cause.
Open up other ports across the country and you won't need any taskforce to get those trucks off Lagos roads within 6 months.
Until we have a leader who has the political will to make that happen, we will only continue to come up with one ineffective cosmetic solution after another.
By the time they tell you how much has gone into mobilising this "taskforce" to forcefully evacuate the trucks off the roads, you will be shocked. |

The headline of a news story is supposed to correlate with the body of the story.
So I ask you again: Where in this damned news story is it stated that PMB "fumes" about Oshiomole's statement?
The statement only said they met. Anything could have been discussed during the meeting. It is unethical for a newspaper to deign to presume what they discussed and proceed to report it as news as if they were privy to details of the engagement. |

Was the woman wasteful? Yes! Frying 4 eggs for one meal doesn't show her as someone that will be able to manage resources...and this isn't about the cost of the egg. It is the attitude that is in question here. Discarding the remaining eggs in anger shows she easily loses control of her temper and over reacts...plus that was the ultimate show of wastefulness.
Was the slap necessary in correcting her? Hell No! The guy would have made more sense if he had TALKED to her about the situation. There is NO reason to allow the situation degenerate to physical violence and shows the guy off as someone who cannot manage his temperament. Correction is better received when done in love and understanding rather than brashly and condescendingly.
Altogether, the couple need to get their acts together and get to know each other better, as they both come across as immature and ill-prepared for marriage. |
