Aitee1:Forget that procedure. Express the milk by hand intermittently, especially whenever it's full to the point of hurting. Milk production slows down and halts totally, within two-three days. Do this right and you won't even experience engorgement. |
Fake ass pidgin. Even she de learn. |
But why anyone would stone anyone, just for being a prostitute, is beyond me. |
Herroy:It's what everyone speculates, but we don't know anyone who knows anyone that knows anyone, that has had the experience. The breast typically relaxes against the bed in this side lying position. So unless the mother has silicon round balloons for breasts, being very bubbly round and full to cover the nose of her infant is highly improbable. I'm even more concerned with whether swallowing will be made into an awkward feat for the baby. My guess though is that they always turn out just fine. |
jazzyjazz:#Edited... Make the mata rest.... |
jazzyjazz:I once visited a friend who was gifted (thank God) a baby stroller, in her sandy area of a Nigerian neighbourhood. Now, that I think about it, the stroller did the exact same job of this cot you describe and a pinch, in comparison to what the portable beds with nets do, that most mums buy. The baby stayed in the stroller in the living area, while visitors cooed at him too. The stroller also had a mosquito net as does a cot and a portable bed. Now, would you say it didn't work for her? But would it be nice to advise other first time mums, especially in Nigeria, to go for it? Reaaaally? First time mums tend to go all out when it comes to shopping for baby and when they eventually realize that they may have overdone it, what choice would they have but to exert their inner creativeness with what they really could do without? Bassinets...changing tables..cots....are a few of the ridiculously impractical stuff that have better and lasting substitutes. ..My cent |
Unadulterated liesss... |
Bunny19:I hope you took this advise verrrry seriously? @juola... Early supplementation of progesterone can prevent a chemical pregnancy. |
Redberyl:Don't. Even as a gift, I wouldn't advise you to accept. Except you have a lot of garage space and just want to be known for stashing baby stuff. Babies don't sleep for long periods, so you are stuck with having to take them out every now and again and it's worse when they can only sleep with a nipple to their lips... Imagine what you'd do then... Just don't. |
Surulady:This is the problem with our mums / relatives these days coming for omugwo. They seem not to know the things that are needed most from them. You may even clean the entire roof and foundation of the house, but if you are not helping to hold the baby, so the mum can catch some sleep, especially in the days/weeks following delivery, then you relatively are of no use to the mum. Ndo, mama I feel your pain. Perhaps you should point out to this helper that this is what you'd cherish of her to do the most? |
Giddyperson:Hahaha...I couldn't have framed the question any better. A year plus and you're waiting for permission to wean. Keep breastfeeding until babe is four and see whether you will not be transparent by then. |
lilwetdick:Interestingly, these things are not normal stuff, as you term them, overseas. If you graduate with a first, you're celebrated abroad. If you work in Microsoft, it's actually a big deal...even as a janitor, oh yes. You work in a centre for robotics? Believe me you, you're up there! More white people do odd jobs than you think, when compared to the ones in respectable job roles, but it is certainly not enough to starkly juxtapose our lifestyle with theirs. |
lilwetdick:The question is are we even ready to accept that a Nigerian can come up with anything? Surely, you heard with me when they said that someone came up with a cure for Aids and Asthma. Were we not part of those that just turned up their noses and tuned to the next channel? What about the lady that was geovisualizing minerals for us? Do you even know her name? There're certainly geniuses hiding away and not bothering to reach or exhibit full potential, for fear that they just might not get the kind of reception, that they deserve. Philip Emeguali managed to register in our heads I'm sure, because he did all he did, outside Nigeria. It's time we begin to give priority by really listening to and supporting our own and stop trying to forcefully fit into the white man's society, that barely acknowledges us. |
Some MUST flow back out, no two ways about that one. Unless the quantity is small and it's viscosity is high, it then takes a longer time to come out, making them not notice when it does...but like you said, it can stick up there in crevices for more than a day. You see, when conception is not forthcoming, it's easier to begin to imagine things that might be conspiring against you. Sperm leakage, no visible cervical mucus..blah blah...are inconsequentialities that women have gone on to conceive multiples with. Worse yet, is that some of us trust every belief an aged person relays...imagine her thinking that it is pathological! We'll finish discussing this now and yet come back in two months to another person having the same worry. rvpbae: |
giftfromGod:#rolls eyes... Is sper.m solid? Why will some not leak out? If I had a dime for every time someone voices this concern.... |
ode2joy:How do you take your antifungal drugs? You just don't take 20mg for five or seven days and think that's it. You'd only be wasting your time. There're specific regimens for specific histories and provisional or actual diagnoses. E.g..for yeast, one should go with at least, __tabs of 200mg __, every four days. Research....run tests...see a doctor. |
J0hnTrevolt:Don't be going about saying things like this. Most people here are just mums, don't give advice professionally and are definitely not under obligation to answer anybody if they really just don't feel like... They're talking new born babies here and you come here with such concerns...how many newborns have the kind of watery eyes that you talk about? |
electroTech:Let the OP, provide the bank details. Even I, want to help. |
Honestly, if you want people to take you seriously as a blogger or anything at all in a public space, you're going to have to hold a tight reign on your temper and mind what you say. You'll learn that people will often misunderstand, misinterprete or disagree completely with what you put out there and would not necessarily do these in a respectful fashion. Rather than letting emotional fireworks fly when you should be befriending people, let things slide completely or press pulse on your initial impulse reaction and simply accept feedbacks, that just might help you find resolutions to making everyone happy. |
wickedtuna:Have I been the one that you've been engaging in convos since you registered on nairaland? Hahaaa. Console yourself all you want. I'm just surprised that you could reach such conclusion in technicolor of brashness, when you are incredibly shallow so to speak... |
wickedtuna:And you are deep abi? With your monosyllables. Hahaha. I laugh you. |
jidenna21:So? When or where was it stated that Jesus placed a monopoly on his looks? ![]() |
Mummy Remi should just avoid using any sexist language. Both man and woman together, do not deserve the assault meted out by this senator, whose testicles are yet to drop & who apparently has anger management issues. |
Happy Birthday To You! |
Why anyone would want to become a nanny when they don't like children, is completely evil. |
Lol...shoprite bread and butter. Is okay... |
Mumu. |
ollah2:I replied. ![]() |
Interestingly, I was just thinking what happened that I no longer hear people complain of this condition, the other day. It used to "reign", in my growing up years. And it was associated with playing on sand. I think mothers use either kerosene or oil, to get it out back then. |
TheKingIsHere:!! |
Op, you report this as though it is supposed to mean something to us. |
