It's real o. I've watched some patients testimonies. Maybe Madagascar cure will work. We are just lucky that we have more mild and asymptomatic cases cos I am very sure a lot of people have contracted it but we are not really testing.

I can't trust Nigerians on self-isolation. How will someone living in "face me and face you" one or two rooms self-isolate? He has to share a bathroom, toilet and kitchen with neighbours. It will be difficult to achieve in this poverty-stricken country. The Elites who have the resources to self-isolate lack the discipline. They proved that during the 14 days self-quarantine rule for incoming travellers.
Please, keep them.

I love that. If it's a celebrity, that's a new dress code to copy. I've seen celebrities wearing two different kinds of socks, different kind of shoes, and kids as seeing them as a cool thing. You can invent your own style too.

Not all COVID-19 positive people will cough or sneeze. Some are asymptomatic. Normally, these guys showing no or mild symptoms would have been sent home to isolate themselves but self-isolation is very expensive for poor people. Some of them share just one room with their family members and they have a common bathroom and toilet with their neighbours.

Them no cough and sneeze again?

Some ladies are properly trained. 95% of Nigerian Parents are only raising their female child for one man not for society or the world. That's why you won't see many Chimamanda's.
Family › Re: What Do You Think Is Wrong With African Style Of Parenting? by saajus:
Too much demands/responsibilities from female children while raising a bunch of irresponsible male children. Any little mistake from Kemi in the kitchen, her mother will say "is that how you will be cooking for your husband". It is very wrong. I've never heard any parents tell their male children when they misbehave "is that how you will be treating your Queen when you marry". There are a lot of great things that could come out of female children beyond marriage. We need to stop sending that myopic message to our female children that they are being built for one man. Let's build them for society and the world in entirety.

Beating/flogging does not work. If it worked, our society won't be like this. Our politicians were beating too when they are young, but that did not stop them from being heartless.

Forcing religion on children boxes their creativity. That's why the likes of Marie Curie, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton may not come from this part of the world in the future. Why can't Parents create open-minded kids? If you are Christian, you can tell them why they should be Christians not to force them. Show them proofs that the stories of the Bible truly happened. There are a lot of archaeological, physical proofs in Israel, Greece, Egypt to support that. But, let your home be filled with different books of spirituality. As a Christian, we assume the kids are Christians because they follow us to Church by force. We fail to let them know why they should be Christians, so once they step out of home, maybe to Uni or out of the country, they forget all the years of Church training.

Our parents should give children the chance to ask questions. If you ask any Oyibo kids not to do sth, the first thing he/she will ask you is "why". African Parents will say "shut up, don't talk when I'm talking". Every invention in this world come from that simple 3 letters "why". Why can't human fly, why can't human go underwater, why can't human float, why do we always come down when we jump up, etc

The way our Parents teach sex education is bad. Some parents won't even talk about it. Teach your kids abstinence, let them know all the reasons in the world to wait but also stylishly teach them how to wear a condom and what "morning-after pill" is.

Almost everything is wrong with our style of parenting. Look at our society and you will discover I am saying the truth. Our President, Senators, Governors, People behind subsidy scam, Boko Haram, fake Pastors, fake Imams didn't fall from the trees.

Now, let me forget about the jet and start thinking of a product that will capture just 5m people and make 10k Naira profit on each person.

“It’s going to disappear. One day — it’s like a miracle — it will disappear.”
“So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!”

Christianity Etc › Re: Aggressive, Violent, Cool, Calm, Which Is The Best Way To Pray As A Christian? by saajus:
Many Christians do things today without knowing the rationale behind it. Prayer is communication. Communication comes with emotions. Sometimes, you cry to express your feelings to your parents. Sometimes, you laugh to do it. Just let your communication be real with your Maker. David did that a lot. He always let God knows how he truly feels.
Most of our aggressive prayers style in this part of the world came from our traditional background. The likes of Prophet Babalola, Osofa are part of those that introduced those styles. "Call the name of Jesus 3x, Holy Ghost 7x, fire 14x, shout like dog hit by a car". As if you are calling someone who has a hearing impairment. No, God is "eleti lu kara bi ajere". To be honest, being aggressive in prayers help you to be more focus. You rarely think of your Amala at home if you are smashing your head at the wall like MFM members. If you are cool in prayers, the chance of many thoughts roaming around your mind is high. Some people have trained their minds properly and being silent in prayers won't affect focus.
Find your style but let the communication be 100% real. Don't put up a fake smile while you are sad. Don't be saying you are strong while you are truly weak. You can be saying positive words as always recommended by our so-called "Papas" just to help your psyche but when it is between you and your God, be real.
Crime › Re: Armed Robbers Invade A Home In Abuja, Captured On CCTV (video) by saajus: 9:55am On May 17, 2020
Yes. Secondary school students can manufacture cameras if we are serious. We can have 4 covering every street. Unfortunately, we don't have a set of leaders that can implement this. They even messed up the FCT CCTV project that was contracted out a few yrs ago.

Family › Re: What Secret Is My Husband Hiding? by saajus: 7:35pm On May 16, 2020
Your husband may be a yahoo boy. Roundcube is an email client. Another one similar to it is horde. People that use it more often are business owners who have their own email domain, like info@opeokeke.com. Web/email host service companies like Hostgator, GoDaddy recommend Roundcube/Horde for their customers to access their personalized email.
Your husband may be using the personalized email to disguise as a company to defraud people. He is up to something. You have two options. Continue the marriage, he doesn't change and both of you end up in prison someday. Second, he turns a new leaf, stay with him and both of you build something strong from scratch.
Madam, if your husband has ever tasted the honey of "yahoo money", it takes a miracle to completely change him. If he has not hit once, he may still be redeemable. That's a lesson to all you ladies staying over there that will just pick any guy in Nigeria without doing a thorough personal investigation
