The 10million Naira guy is wise. It's called time management. If you are making at least 5 million Naira annually in Lagos, you must get a driver if you want to maximize your time. Just pay a driver 50k a month (600k/yr), shekina. Lagos traffic is crazy. You can get many things done in traffic especially if you are a businessman; reply emails, make calls, draw the plan for the day, tidy up PowerPoint presentations or even sleep in case you didn't have enough rest in the previous night. Do you know what 3 hours of traffic mean to a businessman? It's a different case if you are living in cities with less traffic.
He drove himself because they are neighbours. Dangote lives on Banana Island and Pastor Ituah is just 7 or 8 mins away from him.

Haba. Free Transfer is when your contract expires and you are free to go anywhere. That's not disrespect. They will celebrate their exits. Forget loyalty o, it's a contract thing. In the business world, you are as useful as your result. Companies dump people if they are no longer producing. It's even better here. Advanced countries organization managements are very brutal. I tell people don't die for any company or organization. Give your best during the 8hrs daily contract you have with them. Aren't you see players forcing moves or people leaving companies after they've invested so much training them?
Cavani is still a goal machine. I am sure many clubs will want his signature. Silva too will find another club.

I am sorry. I think I will bring down the post. Honestly, if you see the ways our people are now handling family over there, you will be surprised. It's a time bomb. The young Nigerians breaking barriers in Europe today are the hard work put in 30yrs ago by some Nigerian immigrants. Nowadays, some women will intentionally create chaos so that they can leave their husbands and be enjoying benefits. I heard they give single mothers a lot of benefits. There are many mid-40s Naija women over there that young boys are now using to play ping pong.

Gerrard59:
Ah! C'mon! That's a harmful statement to make. Don't you know that children from single parent homes feel unsafe because of your post? embarassed
Celebrities › Re: Alexander Kareem Shot Dead! Khafi's Brother Killed In The UK by saajus:
This is sad. I hope this is not gang-related.

Nigerian Parents in Europe (especially the UK) in the past 10years are not doing well in raising kids. Most of these young kids are being raised by single parents. Some of those single parents sleep around, they fight each other online, and so on. Sometimes, Nigerian wives divorce their husbands just because of the benefits of being a single mother. They forget that it's better for kids to be raised by two parents. I warned some of them a few years ago that they are not raising a generation of Nigerians in the UK that will be like John Boyega, David Oyelowo, Nigerians in their Parliaments, and so on. I hope it's not gang-related.
Family › Re: Why Do Couples Who Claim To Be In Love Engage In Physical Fight? by saajus:
Human beings react to upset differently. The most common reaction to upset is fighting. Put love aside cos it's an emotion, so it's not permanent. Love alone can't sustain a marriage. There are some other ingredients necessary.
The question is why do human beings fight. Not just humans, why do living things fight. Animals fight each other in the jungle. Even fish fight inside water. Anybody or Anything that has a brain can fight. Psychologists say we are wired to defend territory and self-protect. We react once we sense someone is about to touch our territory. How we react depends on individuals. Some by keeping malice, some by physical fight, some by killing, etc.
That's why it's good for people to know how their fiance/fiancee react to upsets before they marry. The signs are always there but people get carried away when they are in love.
Family › Re: Living Alone At 23, As A Single Lady, A Bad Idea Or Not? by saajus:
If you can find a roommate, it will be nice. Not because you are not mature to live alone but for safety reasons. In Nigeria, I don't support living alone until marriage, even for guys. Any emergency can happen in the middle of the night, also perpetrators (rapists, armed robbers) fear two people more than one. A recluse guy in a street in Surulere, Lagos died in his apartment for 3 days and nobody knew until horrible smell started coming out of his apartment. He didn't have friends on the street, he had no relationship with his neighbours, that's why it took 3 days before they discovered the guy has crossed the bridge.
Having a roommate comes with a lot of baggage. You will smile, you will fight, and you will gossip together. Those things also help your mental health. If you are going for a roommate, please get a responsible one who will have a positive influence on your life. If you are living in "face me and face you", you may not really need roommate cos your neighbours are like roommates. You all share everything together except your room.

If you end your Bible reading in the Old Testament, you will see God as a wicked father using a group of His creation to kill another group of His creation. Nobody can give any logical reason till today why He hated Esau. He said "Jacob I loved, Esau I hated". A newborn who has never committed a crime before but His creator just hated him like that. That's the reason why the New Covenant has to show up. In the New Testament, no favourite, no Jew, no Gentile. Israel can't try those shenanigans again, claiming land that does not belong to them. Although they are trying with Palestine nowadays but they are not finding it easy.
The question is, did God repent Cos the New Covenant is totally different from Old Covenant? No, His creation changed the Master plan.
In another vein, the Bible we are reading today is copies of copies. In fact, there are some parts missing, especially in the Old Testament. So, we may not clearly understand why some events happen.

You are right but my message was specific, not generic. If you check the post I replied, the guy was questioning why she died inside the Church. I told him it's just a normal building just like a residential house or library. Correcting the post writer's notion that God only resides inside a Church building.

God does not live in a building. It's just like reading in a library, no difference at all.
What about Churches that do not have permanent buildings. The same rented hall they use for Service on Sunday was also used for a Marlian concert a day before.
God does not live in a building.

Bro, when I see these small things, the reason why I appreciate them is that the person understands the principles behind the machine. You are right, the design is poor but the principles are more important. That's why if you want to work as a Software Engineer with a company like Google/Facebook, you will be tested more on Algorithms, not on building applications.
Over celebrating them is what I don't support. If I were his Governor or LGA Chairman, I will send to an advanced country to acquire more knowledge.

Romance › Re: Do I Tell My Boyfriend He's Not Smart ? by saajus:
As this world is going, it seems God will eventually provide dust for all of us to build the kind of man or woman that we want. Just kidding.

You cannot find a perfect being. If you truly love him, help his weaknesses. Thank God, he's not exhibiting some crazy unnegotiable traits like anger, hatred, cheating. If he can graduate with flying colours, he's not dumb except if he bribed his way out of the University. I have a problem with people who are not flexible, believing they are living the best version of their lives at the moment. So, no room for improvement. But, if your boyfriend is someone always open to learning, challenge him. Like, buy a book, read it and give him to read too. Tell him both of you will discuss the book after reading it. I know many wives who initially hate sports but their men find ways to initiate them. I know men who hate local movies but their wives influence them.

Remember, some are book smart but not interested in current affairs. Some are introverts, they have a lot to say but just keep it to themselves. If your boyfriend is a rigid type, then he might not change. So, you may have to decide if you can cope with him. There is a difference between being principled and rigid. You want a principled partner, not a rigid type that will tell you my way or no way.

Remember, the next guy may be highly smart but promiscuous.

It doesn't always end well. Cos the instructions in those books are too stringent, so many people using them will surely make a mistake someday. Get your power through God. At least you know if you make a mistake, it won't cost you your life or sanity. You will only need to seek forgiveness from Him and He will show mercy but devil no dey forgive.

He always said it that his problem was not drugs but spiritual. But as he involved in heavy alcoholism, he might also have tried drugs to get away from the hallucination problem.

Spiritism is real. 6th & 7th books of Moses, the key of Solomon, the Psalm magic can do crazy things and there are more of such books. I have seen it live. A white garment church prophet in my area ran mad while he was using one of those spiritual books. His junior Prophet told us that he's doing an operation and the book asked him to wear red clothing but he wore white. That was the only mistake he made. Those books are crazy, just missing the timing alone can make you run mad.

You are living in delusions if you think everything ends in just 3-dimensional space.

Democracy at its peak. So a Mayor can have the effrontery to exercise power to rename the street that leads to Mr President office. Here, a Governor can sack all his state LGA's chairmen and nothing will happen.
Personally, I think the Mayor shouldn't have done that even if she has the power.

That's the problem in this country. We can't hold constructive criticism. If you know better, write about it. You three statements have not helped the op or anyone here. It just shows mere rhetorical questions. Correct me anywhere I was wrong. In Medicine and Technology, one day is a long day. I might have been less informed, or misinformed. The last time I read, IVF goes through the following stages

Prepping (8days) - that's when the woman takes a lot of injection and fertility drugs to stimulate ovaries
Egg and sperm Retrieval - taking the egg from the woman
Fertilization - Fertilize the egg with the sperm
Embryo Transfer (3-5days after fertilization)- Transfer the embryo into the woman uterus

I said someone who is against abortion will not feel any guilt to destroy the embryo in a "test-tube" (incubator) if there is a test to know the embryo genotype before it's transferred. I mean 100% risk-free of embryo genotyping. Although, there are still some beliefs that life starts after fertilization. I personally believe It can only be called abortion when we are destroying the embryo or foetus in the woman's uterus.

The last time I know, there are tests to know the genotype of a foetus. So, tell us if there is any test to determine the genotype of an embryo within 3-5 days after fertilization. I want to learn, we all want to learn.

HBB1:
Who says you can't determine the genotype before implantation?

numpy
scipy
pandas
quandtdsl
pyfin
vollib (if you into stocks/Fx apps coding)
quantPy
pynance (for cool graphs and visualizations)

There are a lot more cool Python libraries for finance. Remember the secret, you have to solve real-life problems. That's the only motivation for coding. Once you start seeing the work of your hands helping people in their day-to-day lives, you will be motivated and get addicted to coding even if there is no financial reward.

I promised myself nothing less than 3 certifications during this lockdown, I have two now, just this last one...
