RomanceRe: How Do You, As A Man, Know What The Woman Finds Attractive? Women Tell Us! by SALady(f): 8:10am On Nov 01, 2010
Its all in the brains for me. Give me a stimulating convo on a variety of subjects and I am all in.

Last night I was watching this documentary about the white male in Kenya who shot dead a poacher (black man). The white guy was imprisoned in Kenya for 3 years and was released last year. I hope some of you know this story or have seen it.

Okay the white man's lawyer looked like a true monkey okay! and for the first time I understood why the white folk refered to blacks as monkeys. But I'd tell you this much the lawyer is one hell of a monkey I'd take to the alter on any given day.

His eloquence is something I'd like to take to bed everynight.
CelebritiesRe: Nigeria Contestant In Mr World; Is This A Joke? by SALady(f): 7:51am On Nov 01, 2010
To all the 9ja sisters who think your rep is not much to write home I about, I say you lack appreciation. I find nothing wrong with the guy. Apart from being good looking I think he oozes swag, style and presence.

Yes you can tell that there could have been better, but this to be honest is not a far cry. I like his lean body 'cos it tells me he's going to stay young for a looong time.

So sisters celebrate this man please.
Foreign AffairsRe: Mugabe's 2nd Wife Is Cheating On Him With A Younger Man by SALady(f): 3:05pm On Oct 29, 2010
^^^I went through the link and I cant stop myself from laughing, is the first lady serious people?

This are the lines that got me laughing like a mad woman.

1. I am a hot blooded 45yr old women

2. BENEVOLENT husband, is there something wrong with this choice of words or is it just me. This send me rolling on the floor and after all that I had to realize that this is an arranged marriage and I shouldnt laugh it happens that your wife will call you benevolent if you are 80 and she 45.

3. I am a chief typist. I was like say what? is that something to brag about? once more I had to understand as I looked around to see all the PA's around me. We all know what they are like and as @cock would always say no offeinseee.

4.  Someone elses husband is the father of my children. Since when is having children with someone elses husband a crime? at this point I was like huh!!! really Grace Disgrace, you finish me, I go die.

RomanceRe: What's In A Guy's Accent? by SALady(f): 9:09am On Oct 29, 2010
Welllll! where do I begin? I must say accent for me is no big deal. What's important is the content, if I can learn and grow from it, can have good laugh from it and makes me look forward to our next conversation bring it on. Its even better if I can catch myself repeating the same things that were said between us somewhere else, it goes to show that an impact has been made.

As for accent and intelligence, I am willing to bet my life on this one and say they dont always go together and can be really shocking sometimes.

My example: I worked with a white boy (Jona) his name, of English background speaks polished english with an accent to go with, but lacked depth. Now there's a guy I never looked forward to any conversation with, as sweet as he was.

HealthRe: CNN Founder Donates $1bn To Nigeria For Polio Eradication by SALady(f): 2:37pm On Oct 28, 2010
Ayowumie:
At this moment in time, there is no objective and justifiable reason for such extravagant donation. 98% achievement has been recorded in eliminating the polio virus and already 68 million dollars have been pledged towards the cause. Why donating 1Billion dollars again? I think there is a hidden motive to that gesture.

Afghanistan needs that money to turn their health situation around and not Nigeria.
mmmhhhhhh! Nice one. Makes me want to think, hard.
FamilyRe: Step Mother Of 3. by SALady(f): 9:37am On Oct 27, 2010

@poster this is a case of love me; love my dog period. if you truly love your husband, then you have no choice but to love these children no matter what cool

I am sure you knew what you were getting into when you said I do (I am sure at least one person would have sat you down and told you the implications of what you were getting yourself into) and I want to believe that even if you have not experienced it first hand, you would have watched some nollywood movies to prepare you for the long, hard and mostly thankless task ahead of being a step mother.

This is the kind of thing that annoys me about some Nigerian men. His wife died and he couldn't find an older & more experienced woman who could be a mother to those kids (teenage kids need the most care and guidance) but he goes off and marrys a lady fresh from uni who hasn't got a clue about life talk less of being a mother to 3 grieving rebellious teenagers. He probably wanted to show off his latest model to his friends whose wives were probably in their 40's angry[/color]

And by the way, if those kids fail, then you have failed too. So its best to invest time to teach the one that cooks poison how to cook and show her how to look after her baby. You are now a grandmother at 28. Congratulations.
^^^Glad somebody said it first. Girls please note that marriage can always wait. you dont have to say "I do" to any first guy that pops the question.

RomanceRe: Sighs When Relative And Friends Know My Fiancee Is A Yoruba Girl by SALady(f): 7:30am On Oct 27, 2010
@Poster, sounds to me that you are no where near taking the leap with anyone yet. I mean if you are as old as you say you are, and you still seek approval of the outsiders (friends, family) on who to marry? It leaves a lot to be desired.

When you marry a woman you marry because you are comfortable with who she is since you are the one who is going to spend the rest of your life with her. Also you make the decision based on what you know first about the prospective partner that any other person.

Good Luck it seems like the search is still on and you have a long way to go.

swiftycool:
^^^ Lmho, i hear u hon, won't we all! But seriously which do u think is worst, which would make u drive d fork deepest? cool
Its a tough one but I guess I'll have to go with girl 3. It would hurt the most for the following reasons

1. His money = our money

2. He spends most of his time with this woman, where would i be? doing what? at home like I am his home security? Well i could go out for high tea with friends, but then there's no money remember where its going.

3. By my standards this is when a man is no longer in love with you and the worse thing of all is that he is not telling you. Cant he just set you free? This is the part that hurts the most. I mean i dont care what people out there might say, but please DO NOT DENY ME CHOICE, you've found something better so then let me go find what's mine.
RomanceRe: Ladies, If Your Man Cheated! by SALady(f): 1:08pm On Oct 26, 2010
@poster I am sorry none of the above, I'd stab any woman with a fork and this would mean jail sentence for me.
FamilyRe: Tell My Parents I Don’t Believe In God? by SALady(f): 12:11pm On Oct 25, 2010
@Poster, there's nothing wrong in making the choice that you make on religion, however I dont think you need to prove a point to your parents on how you feel about this.

They stay far from you and I would imagine that the pressure is not so much as if you were with them on a day to day basis. As much as you want them to respect your opinions you need to understand that, you need to respect their opinions as well considering that they are the caregivers in your life right now.

Please mind your audience, your parents come from a different generation and they were'nt brought up to question religion, so please dont tell them how you feel about this yet or maybe never as it might create a huge problem than necessary.

You will soon get a chance to live your life best way you know how and make those independant decisions without seeking anyone's approval, but remember this, such power comes with a great deal of responsibility.
FamilyRe: Should Married Couple Sleep On Different Beds? by SALady(f): 11:47am On Oct 25, 2010
I think its nice to have your partner next to you every night. However, if you dont feel like sharing a bed with him/her on that rare occasion I dont think it should be a crime. So let the person be sometimes you know.

RomanceRe: Why Do Nigerian Man Prefer S. A Women Over Nigerian Women? by SALady(f): 8:50am On Oct 25, 2010
To be honest guys this has become painfully boring. I mean we have to get to a point where we are content with who we are what we have and dont have, to such an extent we dont have to defend it nor apologize for it. Guys shall we ever get there?

I also think its about time that those who think themselves intelligent in here should carry themselves as such, be the bigger one's in here.

Anybody who still thinks Nigeria is the giant, let them, and just send them congratulations, I mean its a special occasion for them right!

Bloody hell, every topic in the politics section is riddled with such rants when does it stop? I doubt if its just African's who read from this forum, and I am sure all the intelligent people in here must know what they are thinking about us by now, as to why must we expose ourselves like this? and still have the gall to call ourselves civilized is too much for me to process.

@Roymary, yes Nigeria is the true giant of africa and @goddess is a guy now go and be happy.

The niger delta issue what is the USA media sharing to its ciitizens about this since you live there? Anything you think can add to our better understanding of what exctly is going on in the niger Delta and the politics surrounding the issue? How does the niger oil industry compare to that of SA especially in relation to the info that RSA has shared with you here.

PoliticsRe: Goldman’s Mboweni - Nigeria To Be Africa’s New Economic ‘gold Rush’ by SALady(f): 2:10am On Oct 23, 2010
Ibime:
Foreigners always tell us we are next to blow. . its been happening for the last 50 years. . these foreigners know nothing about the internal dynamics or corruption in Nigeria. We should be chasing MDG's which we have failed to keep up with, instead of chasing GDP growth which only profits the top end political rent seekers who quickly repatriate all our money abroad.
^^^Without patronizing I guess its because we cant wait for you guys to get your house in order. And trust me, most foreigners are aware of how your administration is pulling you down. We may not know of all your internal intricacies, but hey we also have a shaky government here with very little if any pool of future leadership. Now that's a scary place to be.

To be honest SA cant do it on its own, the multinationals will milk it for its economic boom for as long as it lasts. This may be far fetched, but I dont think we are well enchored economically to last generations. We cant always count on china's partnership since it only makes sense for them to continue this partnership for as long as it benefits them.

To be honest we are still alone and we dont have much of a safety net in the hands of china.

Just my two shilling, we all need a Messiah. grin grin grin

m out guys, later then.

are we supposed to be jealous of south africa's sucess?  this is news that should be celebrated without bringing some silly rivalry to it.
You should learn to mind your own business. I think you are a bit ahead of yourself here, please slow your roll.

bawomolo:
i think you south african posters on NL have an inferiority complex.
I think we have long asserted ourselves in here and made it clear how we see ourselves and what we seek in here,  so your comment is a bit too late

bawomolo:
what part of we don't wish SA evil don't you guys understand.
Irrelevant in as far as the topic is concerned RSA and most SA forumites have long mentioned that they are in here to share and exchange info.

bawomolo:
you might want to read some more on the niger delta issue. posters like ibime should be willing to help you.
don't be an assshole who supports an arms dealer and oil bunker.
This is all you needed to say 'cos this is what's making news waves out there so run along and make yourself useful and send me what you have on this.
