Despite all the nonsense he said in the past, I still want him to be a minister. Folks like him have always portrayed others as incompetent, corrupt and undeserving of public offices. Now that he has been nominated as a minister and member of the Federal executive council, let’s see what he will do differently. He must perform exceptionally without excuses.
you see how your brain work? Calling a very valid opinion nonsense, in your opinion folks shouldn't even be screened at all.

Congratulations to us all!

And to those calling BAT agbado, Ebola, etc
May I remind you all that the position of President of Nigeria is sacrosanct?

We must respect that seat even though you don't like the person occupying the seat.

It is not for now, it is for the honor of that seat even for decades to come.

How Niger go dey follow us call our President 'Ebola'? What insult to the country!
while you are right, it is more important to teach the leaders and politicians also to have respect for institutions and the rule of law, if they have respect for the various offices and the nation they wouldn't cheat, rig, manipulate the order of things just for their selfish benefits.

Where have that lead Edo is it more developed than state like rivers and Lagos or akwa ibom with God father
so because it has not led Edo anywhere, in your words, we should willingly make ourselves slaves to oshiomole, you fail to understand why Edo state rejected oshiomole and his surrogate.

Whatever Shuaibu is facing from his betrayal boss is good for him. As it stands now he will be the loser at the end of the day. You don’t bite the fingers that fed you.
Oshiomhole may be a bad and horrible person, Philip Shuaibu really forgot how same man stood for him to become something in Edo politics.
so how did you expect him to prove his loyalty to oshiomole, when oshiomole wanted him and his boss out of office, without providing a justifiable reason, I choose principle over loyalty anyday.

You should never oppose your country in any kind of war because if the country loses you will be held responsible but if the country should win you wouldn't take part in any of the gains.

I think Igbos should be more grounded in reality these anti Nigeria sentiments could cause real damages in the long run.
what has Niger issues got to do with Igbos now, look I am not Igbo obviously but this nonsense of trying to relate everything to the Igbos has got to stop.

If you're interested in becoming a president, join a political party then contest!

Going thru coup is never the way..
then contest? Against a political system that has already being rigged to favour some, while I do not support political coup, it most be noted that democracy is not being truncated just when there is a coup, it is being truncated when those in public offices refuses to abide by the fundamental principle of justice, equity, fairness and above all the rule of law, what is happening across west Africa with the various coups is not just the truncation of democracy, it is the effect of an already truncated democracy.

RomanceRe: Is She Deceiving Me About Her Virginity Status? by Shattuck(m): 1:37pm On Aug 03, 2023
Honeybadgerxx:
There's this church girl I'm currently dating, I love her so much and she loves me too. She claimed to be a virgin and insisted on no sex till marriage, I really do not have a problem with that cos I'm not a virgin and I told her about it and she said she's cool with it.

Now this is where the issue is, suddenly one day she chatted me up and asked if I know about hymen in ladies, I said yes and she popped another question asking if the hymen of a lady can be broken without penetration, I told her yes that sometimes the thickness of the hymen varies amongst ladies, some are very light that too much of heat and stress can make a lady discover a little discharge of blood underneath her thereby breaking the hymen ( I actually learnt this during school days). But the question got me curious and forced me to ask her if hers was still intact, she replied me by saying she doesn't know, that she only saw it online and decided to ask me cos she knew I'm knowledgeable, like how possible is this? Why shouldn't you know? We fought about this for days and she still insist that she's isn't aware, she was nearly crying saying this. Well, I noticed some innocence in her statements and let go of it.

Now my question is, is it possible for a lady not to know if her hymen is still intact or not? Ladies in the house please help me out.

Note: I'm not a simp, I be correct OG but decided to give love a chance and trusted this girl not because she's a church girl, not because she claimed to be a virgin, but because everyone tends to vouch for her including those kiss and tell guys around, none of them fit play her tape like they talk about other ladies around. Even in her uni days, I was opportuned to have a friend in her school hostel area of which he's unknown to her and the comments he gave about her are very impressive.
Even when I stylishly engage her in some sex topics, she tends to ask me the meaning of some erotic words.

She's a good girl, never billed me before, though I do send her funds atimes, she dresses moderately and hates going out.

But considering how ladies pretends and how some good girls turns bad, I still have this doubt within me, what could make her asked me such question?

Please I need answers as I'm planning towards our marriage soon, she's in her mid 20s and now a grad
I once had a lady like this, a very pretty lady met her in first year in uni, I swear she was everything I wanted in a wife, but I wasn't ready to settle down down, slightly took her for granted, years after I haven't found anyone like her, if she ticks 70-90 percent of the box then she is okay for you, provided she has the capacity to learn, mine then wasn't even a virgin I suppose but she was still the best I have ever been in a relationship with.

How can I be? I am always contented with what I have. I have observed over the years and have discovered that people just love complaining in this country.

You will come across people who are able to afford good shelter, good cloths, good car, good education, good health care and so much more still complaining as if nothing good is going on in their lives.

The level of ingratitude by Nigerians is unspeakable. It is a norm to always complain no matter what.

As for me, am grateful and happy. Cheers no hard feelings.
so who are they suppose to be grateful to? Being able to afford good shelter, good healthcare does not shield you from feeling the pain of a dysfunctional nation, how about your friend and family, what about the constant abuse of fundamental Human right, the level of corruption, when people complain about Nigeria it is more than just their personal well being, as someone clearly stated, that you are one of the problems of Nigeria I agree with him, your selfishness, have you believing that once a govt favours you it does not really matter if the entire population is at a disadvantage, you should be grateful, typical of tinubu's supporters.

Duh, the President can swap ministerial roles at his discretion. They are not going there to chook injection.
then what is the purpose of screening then? Are you not suppose to judge their ability, knowledge understanding based on the ministry they plan to occupy? Is that not how things were done in the past? So why call it screening? What will the Senate then be accessing?
PoliticsRe: Why Senators Didn’t Grill Wike — Akpabio by Shattuck(m): 8:24pm On Jul 31, 2023
SmartPolician:
You want to grill someone without knowing the ministerial position he is coming to occupy. Is it not when you know the position someone was appointed for before you assess his suitability? We are not serious in this country.
I was asking the same question too, how does the screening work, when they don't even have portiolio, so what will the Senate be accessing?

They just don't get it, the pain of the masses is being used to make fun, Nigerians don't have a breaking point, they can't even try this if Nigeria were to be one of those Arab nations, how can you be making mockery of the pain you imposed on the people.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Meets With INEC Chairman, Promise Better Electoral Process by Shattuck(m):

PoliticsRe: FG Asks Ministerial Nominees To Complete Documentation July 30 by Shattuck(m): 5:16pm On Jul 28, 2023
Ikaeniyan0:
I'm not supporting wrong. Subsidy was suppose to be stop by the fg after the PIB was pass but he chose to borrow to pay for subsidy. All the major candidates in the presidential election agreed they will stop paying for subsidy. After subsidy was remove by tinubu, did you expect the price to fall?
then he went ahead and increase the price of tuition fees, increase electricity tariffs, impose levy on vehicle registration, increase tuition for unity schools, knowing fully well Nigeria was going through worst economic reality, a reality that was brought up on them by him and his friends in politics, yet he didn't even have the moral decency to either apologize or take a part of the blame for the eight years of pain and hardship. If not for masses opposition, the reason why some of his money grabbing policies were reversed.

PoliticsRe: Ministerial List: New Ministries May Be Created – Gbajabiamila by Shattuck(m): 10:41pm On Jul 27, 2023
festacman:
Why is ministerial lists in Nigeria always look largely ordinary and non-inspiring?

I know that people who work during elections would be compensated and the president reserves the right to choose his team but why must it be the same old politicians instead of their nominees with proven qualifications, experience and professional accomplishments.

Just like Buhari's ministers, take a look at this Tinubu's ministerial list and except for a very few, you won't sense much of vision, revolutionary ideas and passion to go extra mile except waiting on presidential initiatives and maintaining/building political structure at home-front. The list communicates a scary feeling of "business as usual" than that of transformative policies, disruptive moves and even revolutionary ideas. But the next four years will tell.

We need to change this current selection system if Nigeria will ever fly high again.
there is nothing there that proves that this govt is willing to work, it is reward time for all of them, these are the technocrats apc miscreants were saying tinubu is going to assemble, shame.

What politics is Doris anite and prof Ali pate knowm for
he has served as a minister before, even though that does not diminish his achievement in private practice, as for Doris anite she has worked in the financial sector and also served as a commissioner under hope uzodinma, I guess that was her link into the ministerial list, and not because of any outstanding achievement or knowledge, I am not saying these guys aren't ok, it is just that before now the hype was just too much with the whole "he is going to appoint technocrats" I don't see any difference in his appointment with whatother past Nigerian leaders have done that's all.
