A friend of mine has been scammed by an individual whom she met on Facebook and conducted business with.

The person in question goes by the name Amanda Emem Akpan on Facebook. She resides in Oron Uyo, Akwa Ibom state and advertises herself as a producer and supplier of palm oil.

She collected seventy thousand naira (₦70k) from my friend, including the cost of transporting the four 25Lt gallon palm oil to Abuja, and has since refused to answer her phone and respond to the texts sent to both her phone number and WhatsApp messenger.

After further investigation, it was discovered that she has scammed many other innocent people who believed that they were dealing with a genuine trader.

So this customer(a nairander) called me and asked for 15 rolls of wallpaper and 15sqm of linoleum which the total was 90,000.

We reached an agreement and he told me to waybill it to bayelsa and he will only transfer my money only if I take it to the park and make video call with him showing the packed items. I agreed. I couldn't get any vehicle going to bayelsa from iyana ipaja so I called him to ask if he will prefer peace mass which he said yes. All this while he knew he didn't have any money to pay me but because he want to show the wickedness in him, he asked me to take it to park.

Everyone knows iyana ipaja to jibowu is a very long distance and I did not even charge him for the trip just because I want to please and make my customer happy .

I was in traffic for more than 2hrs and this devil of a customer didn't see the need to call me to inform me that he don't need those items again
I reached peace mass and was negotiating with the driver about the waybill fee and that was when I saw this message below. Funny enough he also blocked me.

As for the wallpaper I can always get another customer that will buy it but the linoleum has been cut into the square meter he want. Selling it won't be easy but God will bring a customer that will buy it.

When this man knows he doesn't have money to pay for an item while ordering it and giving me unnecessary stress.

Vendors please take note of this, when a customer request for anything and he /she can't send money first please kindly ignore them . Most of them are time wasters.

So sorry about this, sis. It's so painful o. It's a good thing you've learnt your lessons. Anybody who makes you go through unnecessary stress and lots of insatiable demands while doing business is a RED FLAG.

Don't be tempted by quick sales. Your God-given customers will come and they will not stress you.

As for the vermin that did this to you, God will reward him in 10 folds.

I don't really fancy married at all, it as to do with my upbringing I never grow up in a stable home and I found happiness when my parents were apart rather than together. Now the main reason I don't want marriage is because of my Independence, I don't want to answer to anyone at all and I know it will be difficult if I'm married to someone because in every marriage there is a level of dependence that is needed to make the marriage work, whether you are a man or woman u don't just do what you like especially when there is a child involved, secondly I'm thinking about the emotional stress my kids will go though if the marriage doesn't work, I don't want my child to grew up with memories of dad beating mum, mum shouting at dad, mum throwing a knife at dad and incase I do divorce I don't want my child to be in a state of depression, thirdly most Nigeria men treat their wives as trash, I Know what I'm talking about they don't value their wives, some see them as property other than an actual human being, some think of their wives as house maids and will refuse to do anything in the house or even allow the woman to get a help, some are also serial cheaters and don't see anything wrong with cheating because as they put it "I be man". Now I know that some women are equally as bad but I'm just stating my concern as a woman after all I'm not going to walk down the alter with a woman by my side.
So that's all I need my Independence, stability and control, people are saying I will regret but I really think it's for the best for me, I feel like I have a lot of time to think as I plan on having children at 28 but I don't know if my opinion will change then.
