I think PZ Cussons offers better training opportunities for an individual as opposed to GTB; though PZ do not pay much. But the thing is if he gets to spend some years in GTB he can decide later on to move to another industry apart from banking. So he has to decide wether he wants a career in banking or if he would rather develop in his current post. |
Use this tip: make sure whatever bank you choose it must be one that you can get references within the bank i.e. from people who own accounts within the bank.this is because referencing your a/c would take a lot of time if u do otherwise and if ur referencing isnt complete then u wouldnt get ur cheque book on time.so think of people close to u who own current a/c(personal/ corporate) and use thier banks. |
@ coolanie are u drunk ![]() ![]() get outta here!!! silly rouge!!!419!!! ***forgets unprintable names to call this riffraff!!*** |

I think so far multilinks is better for home users cos it is reliable and affordable.Swift on the other hand might be ok(never used it ) but i have doubts about its affordability for home users. From what i used to know, setup fee is : N40,000 for about 5PCs and N6,000 monthly 6am-6pm.Dat is way above the average honeuser abeg! av seen multilinks being used for 4PCs and the speed isnt bad at all. Most of these ISPs are out to make money at the expense of subscribers;infact very few are professional and customer-focused. |
It depends on u my guy.ask urself if what u desire is an IT experience in the financial sector or do u want to develop a career in a telecoms vendor.becoa the way i see it,working in a bank gives u an egde eventually because u can end up learning a lot of new things in ur field and can move to any IT office in the financial sector.by the way, which telecom vendor is it?let us know so can better advise.later |
@ stellose well said my sister! hope never disappoints;lets keep it locked on,ok.see u there! |
this is a classic principle question.it depends on d principles u av set for urself.its true that some situations force reactions out of you;but its also true that THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY.whatever we do in life, we would findout that there is always a way to evrything no matter how bad things seem. honestly, dat guy may live just because of dat singular act, but he'll die over and over again knowing what u did to get him well. |
u 4got to mention ", Suck and bite her nip , " |
following what they did with the 2nd batch,i'm certain the 3rd batch will comeup sometime in 2nd week february. @mishie u never enter?keep up ur hopes o! |
@onasharon if u give up its ur loss not anyone's:remember that and rise up to the challenge of getting a job: A compnay needs a marketer who can drive, The person must have first degree in any disciline A male, and must have a valid driving license. Must be between age 25yrs and 30yrs If you are the one ,send your CV quoting ref no ME008 to boardroom@boardroompartners.net |
Peopleprime are an organisation that knows what they r doing and they r professional about it.am sure many would have gotten job offers from the fair;what we dont have is people coming back to places like this forum to share thier news with the forum.i disagree wit u on d basis dat they r still calling participants of the fair for offers as they appear on their database; i attended an interview recently thru them.so keep ur fingers crossed. @poster the test is basic SHL which u can prepare for by practising tests on www.shldirect.com |
i dont agree that 1st pays peanuts. What happens is dat take home pay is reduced as a result of the many deductions like housing, transport etc.Other banks just lump that sum and pay you all except a few deductions.1st bank has a relatively secure work environment but considering the rumors av heard of ETB(work there is almost stressless!) its worth a try.But why dont u wait till u get a positive response from ETB b4 u go ahead and make a hasty decision;get to know what the employment package is like at ETB; note that most people who spend some good time in 1st are usually offered more juicy packages in other banks o. |
@nA Yam, it might be best for you to clarify your personal career and educational goals b4 u make a decision;u dont have to be confused about what to do with urself.I personally know i'm not keen on a masters's degree (foreign or otherwise) because i dont see d use of it.DOnt let ur idea for getting a masters degree be hinged on other pple getting their's.U have 2 decide wether a masters will boost ur career and if its in line with wat u want.If its what u REALLY want then u can save up towards it or better still work on a scholarship(full/part) of which there are many out there.Dont let ur inability to pay ur way thru school stop ur decision to get a masters. |
@abriya Does your training offer the reqd contact hours for PMP exams? @Blow They are both useful in their own way;Prince2 is a tool for managing projects while PMP(PMBOK) uncovers the theory behind projects.U have to have a sound knowledge of both to be a professional. |
very funny, cooldude ![]() |
@mrs dada why do u want a career in catering?if catering is what you really wanna do then go ahead and do something ON YOUR OWN.you dont have to be employed as a caterer to enjoy what you do.But if what u want is paid employment then i suggest you get it somewhere else;except you have international catering qualifications/experience which would get u a good paying catering job, then i suggest dat u get yrself a job and do some catering by the side. |
Didnt get a message like that but I think it relates to the ecowas recruitment dat just concluded.Did u ever apply for it at one time?If u did, then it probably is what u are called for.I dont think its scam though |
@felixweah can i use ur services to pay for fees online:education, training e.t.c.?? |
I suggest u guys check them out before running to a quick conclusion.Get a contact phone u can call them on before the test to make enquiries;it could be email too.I got a job in a company that used an hotmail account. It was when i resumed that i discovered that the company had a professional email account(not yahoo or hotmail) that they use.I also thought the company was scam! so check them out; u dont know what may come out of it.cheers |
@ efuah u r quite right, the trick is that u need to be urself to show u love a lady and much more. But it starts with being urself sha |
I kinda read this post late but i gotta say that the poster is in a real quagmire here (pigdin: wahala!).The so-named pastor is using all his resources to manipulate and control this girl, both spiritually and emotionally.Nameless is held in emotional hold the pastor has on her by filling a gap left there by someone( probably her father/mother). From what i can glean from here, she lacks a father-brother-figure and this she interpretes as a desire for intimacy from a male. And who is in the best position to offer that other than the one she regularlr confides in and shares her deepest thots to! She probably has no friends of the same sex she confides in and keeps men at arms length becos of this "pastor". Well, the unanointed "Man-Of-god" has identified this and is using it to his advantage. Nameless, if u get this know the hard truth: Your pastor is simply using you to satisfy his uninhibited sexual fantasies.Ask yourself why you should be the object of his fantasy and not the wife he placed at home;who he claims to love? Might not be too late to change, take the step u think is best! |

I've discovered that we Nigerians (Lagosians especially!) cultivate a spend-it-all attitude even though we face a lot of job related stress and worries. But come to think of it, this attitude could be as a result of the stress itself! We go on spending spree to "cure" our stress and try to cover it up.We spend on cars to avoid molue;we spend on wardrobe to avoid discrimination;we spend on gadgets to be "among"; we spend on entertainment to relieve stress effects. I mean its a merry-go-round dat never stops. Ultimately, just as evryone has mentioned, entrepreneurship should be the goal of evry working individual; that is the ability to be selfsustaining and able to control your source of wealth on your own. |
Ehen, so its Malaysia peole wanna go now abi?na wah o?why not go to Zimbabwe?Nonsense ![]() |
Bad news?my friend, i avent heard any bad news about savings account holdings in any bank yet.afterall u get interest paid on it and not the other way round.u r free to open in any bank in Nigeria;its just a savings account |
The question u shuld ask urself is what r ur financial goals.Ur financial goals wether daily, monthly or yearly wuld determine where u may invest in.i guess dat u dont av nay dats why u raised this thread.i suggest u arrange a meeting wit a qualified investment professional dat can advice u on areas u may invest in.and if u want to do something in the real sector answering to people's needs, then look around u for a need to fill then invest adequately. |
what i dont get is how many Nigerians can really shellout that kind of money in legitimate terms? na wah o |
really am surprised dat there is no known study into job related stress in Lagos and beyond.what with unattainable targets given to marketers(banks are culpable!), arrogant and unfriendly bossess, crazy rush-hour traffic and challenges of finance.i mean, we graduates need a break! we all wanna work but nobody's cutting us some slack;most jobs dont even leave avenues for personal development both internal and external.its crazy working in lagos especially.the crux of the matter is we graduates ultimately have to gear our thinking towards wealth creation and entrepreneurship initiatives.that is the immediate solution.nowadays, no one wants to work for any man for long even if its a job u enjoy;and i tell u, how many graduates enjoy what they find themselves doing ![]() |
@jaziri are u sure?is dis confirmed?let us know |
